The building needs some work and both outside and inside, but the food is delicious! The veggie egg rolls and gyoza are both very tasty appetizers. The yakasobi and chicken katsu is great. This is a nice place for lunch. They have special tables for the Korean BBQ.

My daughter and I had the most amazing girl date here. The staff is amazing and great at explaining what everything is and how to cook it ( if you do that BBQ) I want to try everything on the menu

I was a little apprehensive at first, as there seemed to be a few overdue repairs, such as the warped floor or broken ceiling. But the service made up for it. Our server was so kind and friendly, and the cook made sure we understood how the BBQ worked and how to be sure our food was cooked through. I ordered the smallest option for the BBQ, and it came with a few different sides, and the most delicious house made kimchi. The spicy pork was delicious, and the beef was marinated and tender. The chicken was also marinated in a sesame sauce that was delicious. I also ordered a side of beef Kimbap, and it was amazing. I was planning my next time dining here before I even left. Large menu with lots to try. If you are comfortable cooking your BBQ, I highly recommend.

Went for dinner tonight, service was very fast. Although you could clearly hear the guy in the back microwaving all the food. I ordered two sushi rolls and my boyfriend ordered chicken udon. We got our food after about 5 minutes. The noodle were quite soggy. The sushi had very little flavor. The wasabi given was definitely not wasabi😂. The water even tasted awful. Will absolutely not be going back. All that cost about $40. Very overpriced for what you get.

The service was incredibly quick, the people were very friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. I had the beef ramen and my girlfriend had the calamari and edamame. We shared the house sake which was very enjoyable. All in all a great experience that I would recommend to anyone!

First off, they asked us if we were there for a BBQ, none of us are from that area and had no idea. We wanted to try something new….. whoops! The male server never refilled any of our waters, our food was rushed and then they brought out the plate of raw food and walked off. My family and I looked at each other and said I guess we are paying to cook our own BBQ. There was no help from the staff, we have 3 in our party that are disabled and it was horrible. My aunt is 70, uses a walker and the server rolled his eyes and asked another couple move please we are coming through. It was humiliating. Then a female server comes by and says pay at the counter. Ok, I sent my daughter up there with my card. Just looked at my statement - $192.15 for an order of ramen, steak & chicken and 3 people shared the experience of cooking their own bbq but for the “meal for 2” deal. After leaving the restaurant, 4 out of 5 got sick - the one who ordered ramen was fine. This is a scam, waste of money and a horrible experience. I asked my daughter how much she tipped and she said she didn’t he said it was included!!!

Food was okay at best, sushi slices were SOO thin, very disappointed I paid $38 with a $5 tip for two rolls! i wont be going back unless theres big changes.

I was really disappointed in the size portions for the bento box. I like a lot of rice with my meat and there was only a thin layer. Rice is cheap and for a $20 box, I don’t know why you would need to skimp on rice.

The woman I spoke with was very friendly, knowledgeable, and had the warmest smile. People like her really know the art of customer service. I no longer will be using DoorDash and will be calling in my orders and picking them up that way from now on! 10/10

Tokyo House has the greatest Korean BBQ. The owners are always very attentive, and kind. I always try to bring my out of town guests here. I highly recommend their large and varied pan-asian menu, you won't be disappointed.

This is the only place in Bellingham that you can get Korean BBQ. I wish I could give a half addition star because I feel like it is close to a 4 star but just missing some things to get there. We come here when we want to get either or Kimbap and Bibimbap fix or have some K-BBQ. The Kimbap and Bibimbap is very good. The K-BBQ is just OK. It would be nice if they had a few more options for the meat items. It's pretty limited in comparison to some of the K-BBQ places further south. We really wish they had the Korean style steamed eggs (Gyeranjjim) as we love that dish. They also have very good Kimchi, not too spicy and great flavor. If you have not tried it, you should. The inside is a little small, and if you are seated near the door, it can get pretty chilly. There are only a few people usually working, and the service can get slow because of this. When you are ready to pay, just head up to the counter. They usually tell you this anyway.

Very empty for how good the food was.

HOLY CRAP THEY WERE FAST! My four year old daughter and I went here last night for dinner and I was soo hungry and was so happy when they were incredibly fast with the food being ready. We got the chicken bulgogi dish 🤤, chicken Katsu from the kid's menu, and chicken yakisoba. It all was delicious, fresh, fast, and my truly honestly picky daughter actually TRIED her yakisoba....and LOVED IT! That alone would have won my heart tbh lol.

I was a little skeptical at first when I go to a Japanese restaurant with some Korean items on the menu and I hear the stuff all speaking Vietnamese. However the food and the menu are all very vast and there's a lot of variety. There was something for everyone on that menu I think my kids got the California rolls and fried rice and we ordered the Korean BBQ for three people at which came with an assortment of marinated Beef Pork and shrimp and some vegetables. The Establishment has been well used and with years of Korean BBQ you can understand why the place has the smell and feel of a place that's been well used. We will definitely be coming back.

Best korean bbq and bibimbap in town

I had never been here before, but have lived in bham all my life so I wanted to try something new. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back... I ordered a bento with spicy tuna rolls, gyoza, teriyaki chicken, and it came with white rice and miso. My miso almost had a tinge of a dish water taste, the rice and gyoza were fine, the sushi was okay, but I was pretty bummed about the teriyaki. It had a burnt / charred taste. Like almost like they threw in a cigarette when they were frying it lol (that's the only taste I could think of). I got more of a char taste than I did teriyaki. I don't know if they are trying to have a seasoned grill, or just seriously need to clean it, regardless, it was off-putting. The service was okay, but the restaurant is literally falling apart, definitely has some health code violations I'm sure. The floor was uneven and there was visible water damage in the ceiling. It was okay though, not horrible. Price was good. I hate to give a bad review, but it was just disappointing...

I ordered fried sushi but it tasted weird the eel sauce tasted like they used expired soy sauce there was just like a weird vinegary taste to everything. I spent $50 here on three fried sushi rolls they didn't bother to bring me silverware or napkins and while we were eating the lady was yelling at people on the line while taking their order. She was very nice and friendly to the table of Asian college students but she didn't go out of her way to say much to me or offer me anything else to drink or dessert. The service made the experience very unpleasant and the sushi just tasted weird-- sour and crunchy and I couldn't put my finger on what the weird taste was in the food but it was like soy sauce or eel sauce or hoisin sauce was very bad that they drizzled all over the sushi. I won't go back here

I won't be eating here again. Mistakes happen, but the customer service in addition to the person yelling at me in the background when trying to calmly address this mistake was awful. I called them up because apparently it wasn't physical possible for them to leave the salad out of my box when I made the request for no salad. I understand it's for free, but I do not want it. It ended up getting into my other food and made the taste of the other food unappealing, which is typically why people request the absence of certain items. Try listening to the customer next time instead of making attempts to argue with them, especially when you made the mistake.

The worst Ramen I have ever had. It was an instant noodle pack with some veggies and a fried egg added. Terrible.

Tokyo house always amazes me !! I've gone here twice for the Korean bbq, and it's so good!! Their miso is warm and flavorful, and the meats they serve for the bbq are amazing. I'd highly recommend the spicy pork and the beef! The staff are also helpful and have gone out of their way to demonstrate certian things with the bbq, like putting the veggies around the bottom ring, the onion at the top, etc. Im still new to it, but I've taken a few ppl here and its one of my favorite resturants in bham so far !!

Not sure why this place has such high ratings. I ordered the teriyaki chicken and it was pretty awful. The chicken was overcooked and dry, very little teriyaki sauce, rice was dry and extremely bland (granted it’s rice but it tastes like a middle aged white woman from Oklahoma cooked it) the salad had old wilted lettuce and the dressing was as boring. Starting to think most places in Bham suck :/

Use to eat lunch here 20 years ago. Food was very good then. Husband and I tried it this weekend because he wanted teriyaki and it was one of the few open on Sunday. We walked in to find 3 dirty tables with one other party in the restaurant. Waited a bit before our order was taken. Asked for water that had a peculiar taste to it. The Gyoza was fantastic with the best crisp I had ever had. The Vegetable Tempura as also very good. Husband seemed to like the tuna roll in his Bento box. We loved the Miso soup although I felt the flavor could have been a bit stronger. The Teriyaki chicken had an odd texture to it and a yellowish color but the sauce was good. We ordered yakisoba to take home. It looked like it was made with Angel Hair pasta and I didn't care for the flavor. The service was fairly good. The restaurant decor could definitely use a refresh both from an aesthetic and safety point of view. There were soft spots/dips in the floor and places where the laminate floor was separating. Walking to the restroom everything looked grimy, that things hadn't been moved or wiped down in years. Would I recommend this restaurant? Probably not. i would give this place zero stars if i could. terrible sushi, rude employees, and unprofessional environment. I went with my friend to this place thinking it would be really great considering the 4 stars, but it was a truly awful experience. we each got 2 rolls and we had edamame.
