Beautiful restaurant! Amazing food. I will definitely make this a regular spot.

There was a BAT flying around in the restaraunt. I'm not one to complain about things but that is a huge health and sanitation concern. If you don't mind dining with bats flying and squeaking around the restaraunt then it's a decent place to eat. The server was nice and helpful and the food was good too.

Great Japanese food in Yankton, SD? Absolutely! I ordered the pork katsu bento box and everything in it was great. Also ordered their red dragon roll. It was amazing. Service was excellent.

I called on thursday night at 8:30pm to make a take out order and had my husband go to pick up the order. We realized the food was wrong after getting home and then tried to call to let them know not knowing they closed at 9pm, and it was 9:05. So i said id get something else and go in tomorrow to try to resolve the situation. Friday comes along and my husband and I go in to explain the situation and show him the receipt. The man said that my husband should have checked the food and reciept before leaving the restaurant because he couldnt give us free food or our money back after walking out the door as he cannot trust that we got the wrong food or didnt mispronounce things on the phone. He asked us to bring the food back and then they could exchange it. (I had thrown it away because I did not expect them to ask for 20 hour old food.) They refused any other compensation and would not acknowledge that they made any mistake blaming it all on the fact that my husband didnt double check the food. The man was extremely impolite and this whole situation was very disappointing as I love their food and eat there often.

Not only is this the BEST restaurant in Yankton, the Family behind the food is also AMAZING! They have immaculate kindness in and out of the shop. I even saw them picking up litter on earth day! I am so grateful they are a part of the community 🥹🥹🥹

Food is always good. They are consistent and friendly. If you haven't tried the Tuna Tartar, I strongly recommend it. 👌

On Google they say they're open till 10:30 on a Friday they were already closed before 10:00 when I got here. If you close early put it on your Google page don't say you're open late if you're not open late

I love Japanese places and I rarely ever get a sick.. first time I went I had no problems but the following week I went and got a little sick.. Also, their kid was running around making noise. Not the best.. Would probably not return because of the food.

We are just visiting Yankton and wanted Japanese. Delightful surprise. Excellent food and attentive service. Katsu was excellent with a good crisp and thin pork. Gyoza were the best I’ve ever had. Would recommend.

Reliably good every single time. I eat here frequently, I have my favorites, but everything I’ve tried is delicious. Service is fast and efficient and very hospitable. Prices are very reasonable and absolutely worth it! Never have had to wait longer than 25 minutes for our food to get made.

We met up with some long time friends for dinner here on 9/7/23. We were greeted and seated by the most adorable little girl I have ever seen. Waiter was wonderful, food was great and we could relax and have a nice visit with our friends. I highly recommend this place.

Still amazing Delicious Sushi. We have been coming here for years and never disappointed. Our favorites were the Godzilla Roll, Valcano Roll, Sioux Falls Roll, Tokyo Roll and Green Dragon Roll, lovers roll, Salmon Crab Stick Roll. You can't go wrong with anything here all Delicious

My husband and I love sushi and this place far exceeded our expectations. We recently moved to SD from a big city where we could get some of the best sushi around and this place held its own against other sushi places. The service is great too and everything is extremely clean.

The food was ok. Owners are Chinese, but do pretty good at Japanese styles. Just wasn’t the best I’ve had.

The cucumber roll was bleh enough that I didn't finish it. The avocado roll was fine. Bubble tea has an unusual, popping boba instead of the traditional. Some people might enjoy it, but I did not. It had a large menu, so maybe other things are great, but the sushi was similar to what you'd expect from the grocer, not a Japanese restaurant.

Food and service at this Yankton South Dakota Restaurant is comprable to Japanese restaurants in larger cities. And they serve food that middle Americans would like to eat after they try it a couple of times. You don't have to eat raw anything.

My sister and I really enjoyed it. The nice and quiet building with good food was the stay enjoyable and relaxing. The pictures/paintings around on the walls were beautiful to look at along with all the other parts of the store. The music was gentle and so it wasn’t hard to focus on what I was doing. I would definitely come back and try more of the great food.

Wow that bento lunch special was delicious! I got the teriyaki chicken and shrimp katsu. Bubble tea was delicious as well. Just one flavor for selection of bubble tea. Nice calming atmosphere. I highly recommend!!

Decent sushi, Buddy Holly wasn't much of a waiter. The pot stickers are boxed from sams or Costco.

I have enjoyed Both the food and customer service for years 💯 Everyone is nice and my food is made fresh. Sometimes this does take a while , but personally we think it’s worth the wait! 👍🏼

I guess my standards must be better than Yankton Tokyo. I ordered cashew chicken, chicken fried rice, Godzilla roll, and fried spring rolls. We opened the sack and had some chicken breaded...cashew chicken was actually Katsu. The chicken could NOT be bit over. It was fried rubber. The fried rice was mush. It must have been a huge batch for the night. Called and was told they’d credit the order. I took the evidence to the restaurant. They would only credit the Katsu because “we think rice ok.” Nothing ok about the order. Less than the 1 circle above!!

Thanks for nothing! Ordered sashimi lunch special. Literally took 39 minutes to get my food. Restaurant was only half empty. I should have just left. Good was terrible.

Crab cheese appetizer, then shrimp tempura udon noodle soup. All wa superb. Sake menu includes hot sake. Small hot sake was not small at all. Highly recommend for Asian food in this area.

I was traveling here on business and saw on TripAdvisor that this was #3 restaurant in Yankton so that told me it was a solid place so I went for dinner. The rating is well earned. Early on a Sunday night, there were a few parties here which is always a good sign, busy restaurant means good restaurant. Prompt courteous service guided me through the meals. I started with the gyoza which was fresh and light. I then got the eel cucumber roll and the volcano roll. Both were well done, fresh ingredients, made quickly and brought to the table by the chef right after it was made. I have tried sushi places around the country and this is one of the better ones. I plan to come back when I am in town again.
