Excellent place to get a home cooked style breakfast. If you're visiting the area or just passing through. Take your family for an experience they won't forget and will want to return. The food and prices are great. Just off the main road (NY RT414) behind the Dandy/Sunoco station in Hector NY.

We were looking for a place for breakfast and were not disappointed. Tiny local eatery with real home cooking. Rustic, no frills decor but the food was great. I had the meatloaf with sausage gravy, home fries, topped with sunny side eggs. Others in our group had pancakes, which were light and airy. The thick sliced French toast was made of homemade bread. Actually all their bread is baked right on premise. Absolutely perfect. This is a real homey place with good service but don't expect to rush in and out. Cooking from scratch takes time.

Initial impressions when my wife and I walked in were not good. Not the warmest of welcomes. We stuck it out and I am glad we did. Food was great, pancakes were delicious. I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy. After being there, my initial impressions of the staff changed. The waitress was very friendly and Chuck stopped by the table to see how everything was . If you go stick it out past any initial impressions. Food is worth it.

The crowded parking lot says a lot about this local dining spot. Great breakfast at a reasonable price. Don't come here if you are impatient, as they are busy pleasing the people that arrived before you. A real gem.

Was on girls trip in the Seneca Lake region, we decided to try this cute little spot. As soon as we walked in, we were only greeted with an eye roll and a shrug pointing towards a table that was apparently “open”. Immediately, we felt like we were not very welcomed there and left. Didn’t even get to try the food. If you want to feel like you’re welcome somewhere don’t go here.

I don’t know where to start as it was a joke as soon as we walked through the door. We were greeted by a woman behind the counter that clearly did not want us there. No smile but a disgusted eye roll for days. She pointed to a table and said “table there” and walked away. How rediculous her attitude was. We turned around and walked out. As I was the last one out the door from our group I told her that her attitude stunk!!! Don’t go there if service with a smile or even a grin is important. I never felt so unwelcome in my life. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!

Toni’s Diner is such a cozy and comfortable place! The exterior is pretty and inviting and you get a warm feeling of home when you enter. The breakfast is delicious! We ordered omelets, the meatloaf, sides of home fries and the bread pudding. Everything was super fresh and so good! The omelet was perfectly made, the bread pudding was great and the hostess brewed fresh pots of coffee for us. They make their own bread in house and it was quite filing. People were cheerful and polite. Very happy to have had a full breakfast at the start of the day! I definitely recommend this place and I would come back again when I’m in the neighborhood!

Definitely a local place. Got there right when it opened at 8am. We were the third couple in the door, sat down with a menu that we had to grab ourselves, and waited until about 8:25am. Toni served all the locals that came in to the bar and front seating area first before she grabbed our drink order. She then took our food order. In total it took us about an hour between waiting and eating. If you have time, I would recommend this place. They make almost everything from scratch including the bread. The food was wonderful! Large portions and cooked to perfection.

Loved the old style feel and didn't mind waiting for a nice breakfast. Definitely refreshing to go to a restaurant that doesn't have A/C set to freezing. Loved the windows open and seeing some of the regular customers enjoying fun times

Hostess was awful. Rude from the very beginning will not return nor recommend this establishment for the way their employees treat customers

Stopped in for breakfast from out of town. Amazing food! We had the specials: beef brisket with horseradish and salsa and the breakfast meatloaf! SOOOO so good!! Would definitely recommend and will be back next time I’m around!

I love a good diner, especially if they have good crispy home fries. My husband was in love with the pancakes.

Loved this place. But they can take some time getting the food out, so don't go if you are in a hurry. A great local hangout.

Food was very good! My family had breakfast here and we got scrambled eggs, bacon and toast, pancakes (plain, blueberry and chocolate chip for my 3 kids) and an egg and cheese omelette for my husband. We all enjoyed what we got. My toast was homemade bread and delicious.

If you have extra time, this is a great place to stop for a bite! They cook orders as they are received, so it does take a while for food to come out - however, they are up front about this. The food is freshly cooked and very much worth the wait! The breakfast gravy is downright addictive. The brisket omlete special was so tasty! The diner is quaint and family run. Plenty of parking. Very friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend it!

Smoked brisket omelette was amazing delicious, pancakes were fluffy. Coffee was refilled very frequently.

We found this place while looking for a different restaurant, and we were the only people in there. Looks like the prime offering is breakfast, though our burgers were quite tasty.

Patrons are taken care of as quickly as possible. We were graced with some complimentary fried potatoes. They were very yummy.

If you have a bit of time to wait for your food, you won’t be disappointed. The prices are reasonable, the staff is so kind (at least 3 different people were continuously checking in on us) and the food is very good. Skip the bacon and opt for the homemade sausage. Get there early…it gets busy quickly.

This a great little diner. We camped nearby and came here twice for counterservice. The Corned beef hash is excellent but the real winner for me was the French Toast with side of sausage. The French Toast is made from fresh baked bread and is super soft and fluffy. The breakfast sausage I believe is also homemade and has great flavor. We will come back when in town.

It’s a great place run by great people! My mom and I love stopping and getting breakfast on our way up the side of the lake.

I have lived around the way from Toni's diner my whole life it has been a true privilege's to have such a great diner so close to home! Service is 2nd to none atmosphere is Comfortable and Friendly and you will find no sweeter woman in the world than Toni!

A really good diner with really good breakfast and lunch options. My personal favorite is the grilled cheese! It's probably the best grilled cheese I've had from any diner or restaurant, to be honest!

Food was good, fresh and made to order. Sign on the door stated that if you're in a hurry let them know, food is made to order. Waited almost 40mins before our order was taken. Food came out quick once the order was put in. Great atmosphere, will go back when not super hungry.

A great little hidden diner just off the main road along Seneca lake, really worth a stop to have a good, hearty meal, in a warm and cozy diner, with great local hosts. A good way to start your day before you go on the wine trails.

If you have patients and no time schedule this is the place to he for breakfast! We arrived shortly after 11am and our sweet waitress took our order at 11:14am. She did tell us there were 15 ORDERS ahead of ours. She wasn't kidding, 45 minutes later our food arrived and so worth the wait! French toast was thick & fluffy and if you are a corned beef hash snob like me you will LOVE IT! The sausage is also homemade which again is amazing! We will definitely be back and will wait again!

Really great service. Everyone is very nice and friendly. I have known them since I was a little kid and it's a comfortable atmosphere. Really fast service, you place your order and it doesn't take long for your food to come to you and they always make sure you have what you need. The bread for the French Toast was really big and taste amazing. 💯

What an amazing place! Some reviews complain about the food taking time…. This isn’t fast food, and it’s well worth the wait. And, the hot sauces are unbelievable!

Visited this place while on vacation to the Finger Lakes! This is hands down the best breakfast I've ever had. The diner is super cozy, and the staff are so extremely nice. I 1000% recommend going here if you're in the area!

100/10, we ate there multiple times while on vacation from Michigan. The owners and (I assume) their grandson took care of us, very pleasant people! The food is indescribable! Corned beef is cooked overnight for the hash. Homemade bread!! Sausage, bacon, ham all fresh and processed by the owners. Fluffy huge pancakes so light! Great coffee!

Found this place first morning of our visit. Coffee is so good you don’t need cream or sugar. Had something different every morning- mushroom omelette, French toast, and their special breakfast meatloaf. Everything was worth the wait. Not fast food. Talk to each other. Staff was friendly as well:)

Food was really good. We all had to try the raspberry rhubarb sauce on French toast and it was amazing. Busy place at brunch on a Sunday. Appreciate the sign on the door that states that all food is prepared for orders so it may take awhile. It was well worth it. Prices very reasonable.

what a gem!! this little hidden treasure was some of the best breakfast i’ve EVER had! food was nice and hot too! the french toast was amazing! hubby had the rhubarb berry pancakes and they were delicious! everything was very reasonably priced!

Hector is an amazing little town nestled in the heart of Seneca lake wine country.Tony's diner has great people good food at a good price, as well as some great hot sauce! Highly recommended! Particularly good hangover cure!

My husband loves diners and we discovered this place on our summer visit. On our October visit, we stopped twice for lunch. Every time we've stopped, the food has been very good. As others have mentioned, the sausage is homemade (my husband has breakfast for lunch the one visit). I really like their cole slaw and their grilled cheeseburger is awesome. It is small inside and the food is cooked when you order, so you may be there for a while, but that's okay. The food is hot when it gets to your table. We will definitely be back on our planned trips next year!

We were very disappointed after having read some of the RAVE reviews. Service is slow as expected, however Food was the biggest suprise. Nothing near as good as others have claimed. Sausage gravy was bland, tasting more like chicken than pork.

Toni's is a gem! The sausage is house-made, as are the breads and jelly. Local diner that serves a great hearty breakfast. But have patience....Toni waits on you in the exact order that you come in. Worth the wait!

The food was made fresh and tasty. We had tuna sandwich, a fried fish sandwich, sweet potato fries, onion rings and a hot dog. We enjoyed the food and good prices.

Awesome little Dinner. We went for breakfast and where pleasantly surprised. Most of our breakfast was freshly made, as in the sausage was made in house, the hot sauce was made in house as was the bacon. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. Their hot sauce was so good I bought two bottles of it. I forgot to mention that they sell their home made hot sauce. I got their French Toast with their home made raspberry rhubarb sauce. So good. Not overbearing with sugar, just the right amount. The price was good as well. The meal for the two of us, drinks and two bottles of hot sauce was under $40! I definitely recommend you give them a try if your in the area.
