Great place for pizza! Both the regular pie and the gluten free pies are great! Definitely order take out and enjoy really good pizza.

Tony Ds is the best pizza in New Jersey. It is very similar to the pizza in Italy so if your looking for something else don't give it 3 or 4 stars cause you think your some hot shot Google reviewer . This is 5 star pizza .

Very overpriced for what you get. Pies are also smaller than your average pies anywhere else. paying more for less no thank you. $20 dollar grandma pie was ridiculously small was shocked when I opened it. Much better tasting pizza for less in the area

Pizza was good but the wings were small snd the garlic knots were mid. I was also charged $75 but i just added up my items with the prices on the menu and my order comes out to $64 so I may have gotten scammed as well.

Some of the best Pizza in the area from a little "hole in the wall" type Pizzeria. Make no mistake...that's a compliment.

First time ordering and got a few pies, a grilled chicken salad and wings. Got the food quick and service was friendly but the food was bland and disappointing. Not sure what the hype is about. The pies could use more sauce, didn’t have a lot of flavor and the thin crust was overcooked. The wings weren’t great quality either, not a lot of meat on them. We ordered the hot’n’roni and they forgot the pepperonis so that was disappointing. Also the salad had fried chicken instead of grilled chicken. Wouldn’t come back.

Walked in and was immediately greeted and served. Ordered a slice and a square. The pizza was good. Could use some more sauce. Also should have been warmed up a bit more. Overall 6/10.

The. Best. Gluten. Free. Pizza. Let’s be honest, some gluten free pizza taste like chewy cardboard - Tony D’s taste like actual delicious pizza!! Do not overlook this gem. They are off the main road and hidden in a small shop but they know how to make a mean pie, fresh! Our favorite? The white pie!

New resident here 2weeks now. I placed an order and the young lady who takes the orders over the phone, definitely needs customer service training. Pretty rude person.....an hour later I'm still waiting on my order. I'm 5 minute's away from them.

This was our first time eating Tony D's pizza, and it did not disappoint. While it is a very small take out business with no indoor seating, the pizza is delish. Thin crust perfection! However, the star of the show may have been the gluten free pizza. It was definitely better than any other pizzeria my family has been to, was cooked separately with foil to avoid cross contamination with gluten, was safe for my family member with severe allergies, and tasted amazing. We will be returning.

The D in Tony D stands for delicious, we just moved back to the area and needed to find a gluten free pizza place as my oldest has a wheat and peanut allergy. Another reviewer called out that their gluten free was the best. I confidently agree, we've had gluten free pizza all over NJ it's hit and missed but this was the closest to fooling me into thinking it wasn't gluten free. My oldest, 6 yo, with the allergy would not stop asking for more, he would have finished the whole thing if you let him. He will usually have two slices(these are always personal pie sized) but he had over half the pie before we had to cut him off. Our little guy(2 yo) usually go for a normal slice but he was also aggressively eating the gluten free. We had no adverse reactions from the gluten free pizza The normal pizza was fantastic l, I am not sure if it's the best I've had but I can't think of anything that has been better in recent memory. I can't wait to go back.

I love this little place! I usually get some pizza after a hard workout at my taekwondo school in West Caldwell (All-Star Taekwondo). A perfect combination.

Deserves the high ratings! The crust was amazing--it was the right amount of crispiness with amazing taste. My 9 year old says it's "phenomenal!"

Highly regarded place, so decided to try. Walked in and ordered plain pie. Ready in 15 minutes. Very very good. Crust thin and cooked well, enough for a slight crunch. Cheese exceptional. Gave pie a unique taste, superior to typical NJ pizza. Sauce low key but very good. No seating. Very small place on side street. Entire staff very friendly. Recommended.

Best pizza in Essex county, hands down. The ugly and the wild mushroom pies are the favorite.

We recently moved to the area and Tony D's came highly recommended. All I can say is they did not disappoint. Garlic knots and mozzarella sticks were both excellent. Drunken Grandma is so good - nice thin crisp crust with fresh ingredients and flavor. If you're in the mood for pizza suggest trying here first - you won't be disappointed.

Tony D's never disappoints! First off - they have THE BEST gluten free pie we have found to date. I hosted a party and people without gluten allergies we're eating and raving about their gluten free pie! That's when you know it's good. Their square pies are great too- at least that is what my friend and family who eat gluten tell me. I definitely recommend Tony D's!

I was very very impressed!! They had my pie ready for me at exactly 510 when I asked for, the thickness was perfect to me. The taste reallyyyy reminded me of star tavern except without all that crack oil they use over there. 🤗. Everyone loved it including my boyfriends dad whose name is tony d also, which is why I came here in the first place and oh also the good reviews. 🤗🤷‍♀️

Unbelievable Pizza at this place, we called an hour prior to going because the pizza Lina takes an hour, it is well worth waiting for, absolutely delicious and fresh tasting, quality ingredients and fantastic dough. It was so good we wanted more LOL so we split a square slice and a slice of Grandma pie those two were both outstanding as well, I will absolutely be back it was a 20-minute drive for us but it was worth every mile of it

Moved to caldwell from Brooklyn NY, this is the best pizza around Caldwell. So far I've tasted the Veggie, the white and regular slice😋.

Tony D's is one of the celebrated pizzeria's in Caldwell. Tucked around the corner from the community pub Cloverleaf Tavern, you might be forgiven for missing it. Take away only, but they're bustling. Really cool pies too - they're doing the square sicilian-type pie. Drunken Grandma? Vodka sauce - yes please. Little Italy, with fresh crumbled sausage and long hots? Of course. Both pictured on this review. It's easy to see why this place is so loved among locals, and some of my friends drive 30 mins to pick it up.

It All Starts with your first interaction behind the counter and this was one of the Best with the pleasant Andrea running the show. She talked shop and pizza and made the experience that much better. Scouting for the Pizza Hunters App, Tony Ds did not disappoint. As the Pizza Hulk says, this could be one of the Best Grab and Go Slices out there. The Sauce, Cheese and Crust works great together with the Crispy Crust being the star of the show. I will definitely be back again as part of the Essex County Tournament.

A good, thin crust pizza. The specialty pizzas are the best. The drunken Grandma is my favorite. Called Forte's for 3 plain slices to go. The counter person said they don't do single pizza orders on the phone. I have to come in to place the order... Tony D's took my order and said it will be ready in 10 min. Where do you think I will be going for all my pizzas from now on?

Extremely thin crust, surprisingly light, a staple family favorite. We find their pepperoni and buffalo chicken the best flavors they have. We don’t completely understand where all the raving comes from regarding these drunken grandmas, uncle’s best friend’s nephew or other family related names of topics and styles that fall a bit flat, but to each their own. Warning.... the wait on weekends are long. expect one hour.... even if you’re told 40 minutes. But worth it!

Tony D's came highly recommended from the legendary pizza aficionado Pete Geneovese of NJ.com. His recommendations have never steered me wrong and Tony D's is another example of that. Tony D's is a hidden gem hole in the wall. The popular pick is the drunken grandma pie and I can see why. It's greasy, cheesy, and delicious. The crunchy, crisp crust has a great structure and the juicy tomatoes combine with the delicious vodka sauce to create an explosion of flavor. It's no wonder how this spot consistently makes the NJ top-ten pizzerias.

This is my favorite pizzarria in the area. Personal favorite being the drunken grandma and pizzalina. It's a small venue without much seating, so plan accordingly.

Tony D’s pizza is some of the best I have ever had anywhere including in Italy. Our last two orders for take out were for the Grandma pizza. Simple perfection. However, we really like the Wild Mushroom and the Milano Pizza which is crumbled sausage and Gorgonzola too. They get very busy and there is often a long wait so plan ahead if you can.

My husband loves Tony D’s! I usually don’t like thinner pizza, but WOW this was amazing. The House Vegetable with added marinara was perfect. You can ask for no cheese and it will still be super satisfying. They did not skimp on the veggies at all. In fact, it was overloaded to perfection. We try to stay away from gluten, so also got a gluten free crust Grandma pie to try and it was better than any other gluten free we’ve ever had!!

The drunken grandma pizza is the most unbelieveable thing you'll ever eat! You'd be crazy not to give it a try if you're craving pizza. There isn't a seating area, so, Tony D's is a great place to stop and grab some delicious food to eat in the comfort of your home, with friends, or in your car with no shame (my typical style).

Tony D’s makes some of the greatest pizzas New Jersey’s ever seen. Their Sicilian style pies are perfectly thin with a delicate crunchy crust that just adds to an already amazing pie. Doesn’t matter what you order; old fashion, drunken grandma, Milano or a simple pepperoni pie. It’s all delicious. Also, if you’re not from Jersey but you’re in the area, you owe it to yourself to try out this place.

3.5 STARS It is more than A-OK but I am not a fan yet. Yelp's lack of 1/2 STAR rating is really bothering me. Tried the plain and Buffalo chicken slices. The crust is thin and crispy. The size is a bit small. Seating is outdoor under an awning. There are two public part picnic benches for eating out on the side of the establishment. This makes for a good place to get out and enjoy a quick lunch with friends and colleagues.

That is until last night. Tony d's in Caldwell,NJ made us a grandma gluten free pie that was better than most places regular pizza's. We had a meeting last week and ordered 7 different pizza's.Every one of them were outstanding. I felt we had to try the gluten free one. Did not expect much but WOW this has to be the best we have ever tasted. Try one if someone is on a gluten free diet then see what I was writing about. I called them and congratulated them is was that good.
