Not exactly the way it was 35 years ago. Service was great and very clean.

Tortilla Flat is where it’s at! Free chips, cheap drinks, tasty food….whats not to like?! Staff is always friendly and service is quick. There is a lot of seating and I’ve never had to wait. I love the atmosphere. It’s always a great time there.

Have been enjoying Tortilla Flats since the early 1980s, & it's always great! Can't get there as often as I'd like.

Had a lovely late lunch on the patio. The queso is some of the best in the area. But beware, it's enormous! I got the chimi sampler and liked the beef the best.

I used to come here all the time. Spent thousands of dollars here over the years. Decided today while driving by that some tacos would really make an overcast day better . I remembered shortly after sitting why I stopped coming here. Tacos were meh at best. Refried beans were just ok and rice was borderline inedible. The only thing keeping this place going is the margs. Still a decent deal. There are many other options in town. All within a few miles, and all are better. Looks like I’m back to just buying lime juice here and making drinks at home

This has become our local favorite! The Margaritas are excellent, the food is really good, reasonably priced and the service is great!

Always the #1 place to go. We travel 2.5 hours one way to simply get this great food.

By far the best choice for Mexican food in town! The only thing better than the staff is the margaritas! The buffalo wings will also knock your socks off! 10/10

Delicious food options ( including vegetarian) Outstanding friendly and accommodating service.The drink selections were also amazing! My family tried a mix of dishes , they were all delicious. Never have we found fried avacados ( in a cornmeal type batter) also truly yummy!!

Lured in for our first time by $5 margs on Thursdays! The shrimp fajitas and crab enchiladas were great. It's a fun & cozy atmosphere - they had live music which was very loud in the bar area but they seated us in an alcove so we could enjoy the music while conversing. Our waiter was new but very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back! ° • Update: We returned on Tuesday for $3 tacos and happy hour $5 margaritas. Sat out on the screened in patio. This is one of our new favorite Mexican restaurants!

Over all not too bad, it was not too busy when I showed up and I sat in the corner of the bar so maybe that was why it took a little bit of time for me to place my order. I asked for chips and salsa and found out it's self serve at the bar, that's fine... I was the lucky one who got the bottom of the bag I guess. The chips were almost empty and all broken into little pieces. I ordered the Taco sumprema which was very good, with a Pepsi costing just over $17 before tip. Employees were friendly... Good place.

My sons love the HAUNTED building & food served at the Flats. They make a great vegetarian nacho for me every time I go & request grilled veggies on my nachos. They have been amazing every time.

I brought my wife and her sister here for her sister's birthday! The service was excellent, and so was the food and drinks! I definitely recommend for a good time 😊.

My favorite spot in Merrimack! They have great happy hour deals. They also have a very tasty burrito, (chorizo, chicken, cheese, and more) and for a Mexican restaurant their fries are so good. I get them every time!

Had a solid dinner here last night. The food was good. I had a grilled chicken burrito with refried beans. My date had a specialty quesadilla, which also was very good. My only complaint was that the music was too loud. Our server was attentive and friendly. Good crowd. Had a tasty Cabo Wabo margarita. Prices are reasonable.

Everything was amazing. Service was great. Nothing like a hot skillet filled with queso topped with carne asada. Best deep fried ice cream!

Service is fantastic, great atmosphere. The food is next level. Homemade salad dressings, incredible flavors and desserts. Portion sizes are perfect. Great taste, great prices.

We met some of our family here last night. They are temporarily in Merrimack for a few weeks so we decided to try tortilla flat since it is right in town. We called ahead the day prior to coming because we had a table of 8. The woman who answered took my name and amount of people to “give the host a heads up”. My two children and I were the first to arrive, the host had no clue we were coming and scrambled to get a table for us. We were sat, and given menus. The rest of our party arrived and our drink order was taken. It took about 35/40 minutes to get a round of non- alcoholic drinks, when the waitress came out she laughed as she shared with us why it took so long to get the drinks. They had to wait for the dishwasher to finish, not a huge deal to us. But instead of taking our food order and getting that in. She waited until the drinks came out, and then took our order. She put our food in and then disappeared for about an hour while we sat with zero refills on our drinks or chips/salsa. She finally came back and we had to ask and she zipped by where our food was. She then replied “do you want me to be completely honest with you? The kitchen is on a hold for 45 minutes because it’s so backed up, but your food should be out in another 10 minutes.” We were frustrated but understand things happen. She then starts bringing just random items out. All in all, none of us ate together because of the length in between the plates coming out. My kids chicken tacos came out last, way after everyone’s food was served, so they spent time walking around the table picking at others plates because they were so hungry. 3 out of our 8 people at the table said their food was gross, I got a burrito bowl which is pretty hard to make gross, but it was disgusting. The steak tasted old, the sauce that they marinated the steak in tasted spoiled. The waitress knew we were unhappy and never once tried to make anything better for us. We will never be back.

Love this place. Salsa just spicy enough. Had the beef Burrito and it was awesome. Portions are enough to bring home at least half. Even the bathrooms were spotless and clean. Nice atmosphere and easy to talk over the music. Was a very nice lunch.

I haven't had a bad experience there in many, many years. In fact, I didn't have a bad experience when I was younger. It never came up as a suggestion in my group of friends. I go there at least once a month now, more often twice. I enjoy their drinks and I love food. My friends and I always have a great time when we go!

There is plenty of parking but it may not all be convenient to the entrance. We were greeted and seated right away. The decor is very eclectic and the tables and chairs are obviously well used. The waitress was outstanding. Nice menu and drink listing. I decided to get a couple appetizers for supper. Got Buffalo chicken wings and nachos and my wife had a burrito bowl. Plus a margarita. The wings were dry and overcooked and did not seem to have any Buffalo sauce. The nachos were over cooked and maybe a little burnt. Not very tasty. My wife liked her burrito bowl and loved her margaritas. Very disappointed overall.

My girlfriend and I went there for brunch and were very disappointed. We ordered a couple of sodas and waited approximately 15 minutes to get them as we watched another couple that came in after getting served before us .our waitress seemed to have dissappear. We had ordered our food when we ordered the drinks and after an hour of waiting, I went to the front desk to ask about our meals. My girlfriend got a Mexican pizza that was burnt and had one slice. The place wasn't very busy and the waitress said as she was walking away " you can't blame me ". Because we let her know how dissatisfied we were. This was my first time there, and it is definitely my last.

The waitress took our order of nachos with sour cream and guacamole on the side. So far, so good. When it was brought out, they had forgotten the sour cream and guacamole so she said she’d go get it. 15 minutes later, another person said they would go get the sour cream and guacamole. 20 minutes later, I had finished eating. 20 minutes after that, I went to the bar tender to pay the bill since there was no sign of our server. I never did get the sour cream and guacamole.

Stopped in with my wife at noon to have lunch. No waitress in sight, we sat ourselves in the bar area. Waited 5 minutes, left and went to Don Ramons and had a fantastic lunch with great service

Cool looking old Mexican house, but terrible americanized Mexican food. Got a dish with shrimp and the shrimp was smelly and it seemed microwaved. Rice tasted like rice pilaf. Ranchero sauce tasted like barbecue sauce. Server took a bit to come back but was polite and helpful with the menu.

Had a beautiful dinner at Tortilla Flat. Meal was delicious, wait staff attentive. And atmosphere: Music and surroundings were wonderful. Definitely going to be on my frequent dining list. Enjoyed the salsa and crunchy tortilla chips.

We stopped into Tortilla Flats on the way home from Boston. There was one in Burlington Vt a long time ago. The Service and food was great. It brought back memories and we really enjoyed our meal.

Good food, good beer and my gf loves the 🍹 Margaritas. We always have leftovers. Salsa is thick and pretty mild. Quaint little place to dine in or belly up to the bar. My friend tells me happy hour has great prices too. They have a juke box but you need an app to run it Staff is very helpful and courteous. Enjoy!

They were in need of workers, as the waitress was hard to spot and continuingly forgotten about us.

Great service! Food yucky. Sweet everything. Salsa is sweet. The red sauce in everything was like pasta sauce. Very red, sweet & tomatoes sugary. Dark atmosphere.

Everything was great except that the kitchen got backed up and the waitresses didn't know it and we waited about an hour for our food to come out.

The food was very bland. When I asked the server if they had any hot sauce or salsa for my meal they told me no they don't have any spicy salsas or sauces. Never have I had such bland Mexican food in my life. Margaritas were not great either as they have a cheaply made sour mix. The restaurant was mostly empty on a Wednesday evening but service was still pretty slow. The waitress was friendly, but the whole experience was pretty lackluster. Won't bother going again.

How can you tip the waiter when they don't do anything besides the drink, the cook did everything, brings the food, ask about food , clean the table .......etc so no tip for the waitress I think it's fair enough.

I sent back my uneaten meal, my friend tried to get another tortilla to wrap his soggy mess of a burrito, the waitress told him she had to take it back to get it re-wrapped, she brought back another one he couldn't eat. So I paid 45 bucks for enedible food and 2 sangrias. The drinks were decent though.

My place is disgusting overpriced don't know how they are in business I have been there over five times hoping that it would change always the same last time I went there there was a dog on one of the tables

While the food was decent, and better than most Mexican food I've had in the area., The service was horrendous. I should not hear my server yelling at the host about seating all while I'm still waiting to be greeted and get drinks. The entire service was the worst I've had in a long time.

My husband enjoyed his burrito but, when the Mini Chimichanga Plate came to the table, they were not deep fried to my expectations. Took over 10 minutes to be greeted once we sat and service was slow.

Food was good, but took over an hour to get. The server only checked in twice during that time even though she had plenty of time for other customers on the patio. She didn't offer to refill chips while we waited and when we did get the food she checked in once and was walking away before both of us could actually answer her. The worst was another table had to get up and walk around to get their check.

Service was horrendous in the dining area. Took forever for a server to come over even after we spoke to someone. Water took forever too. Food was yummy except the portions have gotten smaller. It use to be 3 enchiladas not 2.

Food was cold wrong, orders 2 orders came out that we never ordered The lady who served us was nice was not her fault but nachos came out of a microwave that never got turned on

What I love about the Merrimack location is that the drinks are always great, the staff is attentive and the food is consistently good.

Love this place! I grew up in Merrimack and have been coming here since I was a kid, and the food has the same, delicious consistency even 30 years later! The ranchero sauce is amazing, and we always leave with at least a quart for making nachos at home!

Excellent Mexican food at a decent price. Drinks as well. Food was served fast, hot and delicious. They accommodated our group of six and we were able to pay with separate checks. Very accomidating.

Since 1989 this has been a great place

This used to be a priority destination but man has it gone down hill. Mostly in the bar. We've been here twice in two weeks and had a different bartender each time. Completely unattentive and downright rude. Yes both of them. I've been going here for 30 plus years and yesterday was my last time. When you choose to work a job in the service industry you should have some sense of how to treat your customers. At least pretend you give a flip. Not these yahoos, they're on a whole new level of "I don't care about anyone but ME." This place will not survive unless they start giving their bartenders some elementary training in how to treat others. Entitled babies. GOOD RIDDANCE.

I am a low-maintenance customer. I do not need much attention, and will quickly ask if I need something, which is rare. Went for dinner on Sat. night ~8pm. Not busy. Seated in lounge. Lots of employees, not doing much. Drinks sat at bar and waiting 10 minutes for them to be picked up and delivered. Bar staff could not be bothered. No idea where waitress was. No water at table. It took effort to give the tip that I did, but I realize everyone has rent/expenses. I will not be going back to Tortilla Flats.

Have been going there over 40 years.Always good @ fair price.Went yesterday same order no need for menus,Ordered cheese nacho and buffalo wings for appertizers.Wings are great as usual the nacho they changed cheese on saturday.No taste did'nt like them they comped them thank you.Cheese makes all the difference in their dishes.Will not drive that far again because the food is not same sorry

My name is Theresa and my friend and I came to the Merrimack tortilla flats and we had Amanda as our server.I have to say that she was amazing.As a sever in the past myself she was quite attentive and funny.She made us feel welcomed.She asked us how everything was a few times.We have had not such good service the last few time were were here so it was a.nive surprise.We will be coming back and asking for her again.

This was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The food is subpar, at best, and the wait staff was literally non-existant. When server D.S. took our order, she didn't write it down and, of course, got it wrong. Our drink order was wrong and our food order was wrong, but we were hesitant to say anything (although we did) because we were tired of waiting with no drinks or food. On top of having virtually no service, our bill was in accurate (We were charged for the wrong drinks that were served). Finally, we asked that she split the bill amongst two credit cards. She complied then only charged one. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but in aggregate every aspect of this experience was terrible...except leaving! On a positive note, the hostess was AMAZING! She was able to fix our drink orders, get us chips and salsa, and find our server who was persona non grata.

Haven’t been here since college days 1979. It is even better than I remember. We came for happy hour $4.99 margaritas chips salsa. We ordered el President it was excellent wifey ordered steak and shrimp fajita was very good as well. Our server Taylor provided outstanding service. I know Tortilla Flats doesn’t need another 5 star review but I just feel compelled to write one. We’ll be back. Happy New Year.

It was dark inside and rather chilly in the section with the bar where they seated us. Food was luke warm. It could have been better I'm sure.
