It's always a wonderful experience!

I went to eat here last week with my parents for their anniversary. I informed the staff that I had food allergies. The staff helping us was very nice and helped me modify the food item I wanted to make sure it included no gluten or dairy. Unfortunately the food did cause me to have an allergic reaction because there was dairy in it, and I ended up having to miss work the next day because of the reaction. I do not want anything negative to happen to the staff as they were very helpful, but I do want this place to be more mindful of potential cross contamination! That being said, before the reaction hit the food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was nice.

Excellent service and food. Definitely make a reservation, we saw one young couple trying to decide where they were going to go when we left, as they hadn't made one. Went there for our 37th anniversary and it was worth doing. The service was impeccable, as quick as we wanted it without any pressure, and the waiter loved the restaurant and the food. We were able to split a special of the day, the pecan crusted halibut with fresh Palisade peach salsa. It came with rice and red beans and crisp plantains, and we added the cucumber salad and a plate of the vegetables of the day. There was plenty of food for both of us and we still had room for a lovely banana creme brulee. Definitely a great place for a comfortable celebration.

Everything was good. They just aren't handicap friendly.

Best seafood restaurant in Longmont. Consistent seasoning and portions thru the years. The only thing I would ask for is more specials, or perhaps some dishes only available on certain days. Although the kitchen is small, we never have had a long wait for our meals, even when they are busy. Make reservations; and enjoy.

This place is a gem - food is unique, fresh and delicious, and the staff is wonderful. So so sad it won’t be around much longer 😭

Friends took me here for my birthday and I absolutely loved it! I got the Cuban Mojo and I would definitely get the other dishes, my friend’s plates looked more savory. But all yummy! The shrimp and the plantain appetizers… 😭❣️

One of the top 3 restaurants in Longmont, maybe *the* top one. The fish is always perfectly cooked. If they have scallops on the specials, GET THEM! My favorite in the regular menu is the Voodoo with any fish.

Excellent fresh authentic ingredients, very well prepared, and the service was excellent. The colorful decor is always fun, there’s a wide range of choices, and the margaritas were excellent!

Tortugas is by far the BEST restaurant in Northern Colorado. The seafood is fresh, the spices are delicious, the drinks are great and the desserts are amazing. The service is excellent! We sat on the outside patio which was so nice and relaxing. Highly recommend!

Not great for the price. We ordered the jerk style mahi and it was pretty bland small cut of mahi, boring salsa on top served with regular ol Sisco sweet potato fries. Super bummer to go out and pay so much to be so disappointed.

My wife and I had dinner there. We had the smoked salmon wonton appetizer. My wife had the grouper and shrimp special. I had the shrimp and crayfish etouffee. All were delicious. Service was great. Smaller dining area in the winter, Recommend reservations

My wife and I love this place. I usually don't stray far from their jambalaya and my adventurous wife likes to try just about everything on the menu. Nice relaxing atmosphere whether you're eating inside or out. The wait staff is always friendly and helpful. Tortuga's never disappoints!

We sat inside , and the noise level was subdued. The place is relatively bright; the decor simple; many paintings on the wall seem to feature the same, not-smiling woman, so slightly off-putting for me. However, the service was prompt, attentive and friendly; the drinks and food were delicious. Portion size was sufficient. Dessert was an excellent key lime pie, nearly as good as the ones I like to get from the Mountain Fountain in Hygiene. Based on this one visit, I have no hesitation recommending this place.

Food was better than I expected but the service was lacking. I watched 2 employees standing around on their phones as I tried unsuccessfully to get their attention for a water refill. Finally got their attention and a water refill as I was finishing my entree. The chocolate bread pudding for dessert was really good. The atmosphere is kind of bland with the exception of the numerous paintings on the walls which was really the only decoration. The tables are covered with brown paper as table clothes, kind of tacky for a place that purports to be more upscale than your average bar/grill type place.

Love this place! Weather was great so we sat on patio. Always have to deal with flies outside- anywhere you go, might help to have a fan or two out there, but does not even BEGIN to prevent me from going to Tortugas when I'm in the area! We had an appetizer that the name escapes me but it was shrimp wrapped with bacon- mmmmm! I hadone of their specials: Mahi Barbados with a margarita and it was all marvelous! My heritage is Cajun so the chocolate bread pudding we shared for desert wasn't quite what I expected. But, it WAS yummy, don't get me wrong! Our server, Michael, was on his game and attentive. And boxes for leftovers cheerfully provided! You absolutely need to try Tortugas!

Definition of a hidden gem. Just a block behind Main Street in an old house. Casual fine dining. Really well prepared food, served on dishes you’d find at your house. Full bar, wonderful desserts. Reservation is a good idea on the weekend. Cajun menu with specials that mix it up (like pecan crusted halibut ). Happy our son found it. We will be back!

Unexpected delight! Makes you want to go to the Dry Tortugas… or somewhere in the Caribe!! Our appetizer was Shrimp Creole, jumbos wrapped in bacon - yum! She had the Shrimp Callaloo, I had the Cuban Mofo, both with black beans and white rice (I think the Cuban name is ‘Morros y Cristianos”) & excellent tostones (fried plantains). Wine list was brief but superbly chosen. Fun and gracious service. The lovely old house was a character unto itself, with bonus seating & bar upstairs, & pleasant patio dining outside. Loved it! As Guide Michelin would say, worth a detour!

Today was my 3rd visit here. The appetizers are amazing. The plantains are so good, tonight we had the ceviche and it was the most delicious I've ever had. This is the 2nd time ordered chicken and its not the best. The first time it tasted like fish so they remade it (much better after remaking but my husband had already finished dinner by then), tonight it was very well done, I only ate half. The drinks are also delicious.! Staff was so friendly and accommodating. If you are going in the winter though, be careful, the sidewalk are NOT shoveled very well or salted at all. This wonderful little family owned restaurant is must in cozy and warm dinning. Reservations are preferred but they made an exception for my family and sitted us after only 5 mins. The food was wonderful; Salmon, shrimp, Mahi mahi dishes were very flavorful and delicious. This quaint restaurant is in a remodel older home off the beaten path. My husband is from Louisiana and is always on the search for a good jambalaya. Well Tortuga's knocked it out of the park! The Jambalaya is hearty and full of meat with great flavor. The Cajun Chicken is something I will DEFINITELY crave! We already can't wait to come back. The server had worked there for 10+ years (a huge testament to their company for sure), and the owners are the cooks! The place has been in business for 27 years which speaks volumes for a small locally owned business. We were impressed to say the least! We dined here last night ,I called them for a last minute reservation in the early afternoon for four hoping we could get in . Woman who took it said we have a table at 6:45. We arrived at 6:40 to no reservation the owner going over the list walking away to supposedly speak to the hostess who took the reservation, another “server “ comes goes over the same list 2x’s I can clearly see my name isn’t there. My spouse and guests are questioning what’s up .slightly embarrassing. They ended up seating us all alone up stairs in the empty bar area. Ok we had a seat but ….. Don’t go by the menu on line either it is not current some items are not served anymore, the ceviche used to be great but now has oil in it that congealed due to being kept cold , the same goes for the cucumber salad.
