Love this place! It feels very touristy but not in a bad way. Right on the water with inclosed seating in heated tents. The crab is fresh obviously and pretty good. The crab cakes were good just didn’t have as much crab in it as I would of liked. The crab bisque is amazing.

I don't really do seafood, but I did enjoy the meal and experience. My husband was on cloud nine and particularly liked the king crab.

The only thing that would make this experience better is a plastic tray or paper trays because all we got was paper wrapped Crab legs and a claw opener. I found myself having to do origami to keep my food off the ledge where we were sitting facing the water. There are rumors the King Crab is not from Alaska. I wish that the location of the Crab was disclosed on a white board or something. We avoided king for this reason and the snow and dungunous was good. The unfortunate thing is it was cold enough our butter got thick half way thru our dining and the way we got our food wasn't clear at first. All this being said I enjoyed the food, the soda fountain tasted glorious, the hand washing station was a welcome touch and I loved the secondary location with a calmer smaller vibe. Woman at register was kind and helpful with allergies. I have celiac and I'd come here again and I felt safe to eat here. The rice quality was excellent and the slaw was spectacular.

Less busy than the spot by the cruise ship. Good service. The beer selection was good. The crab legs were the best crab I've ever eaten.

This is a better location than the one directly in front of the cruise ships. locals tell me it's a more authentic experience. Firstly, this place is quite expensive to get a taste of king crab legs. Also, it's not best and freshest king crab I've had before, so I can't give this place 5 stars for food quality.

Truly a “shack” but a great place to visit. We got the crab cakes and a pound of King Crab. The crab cakes are amazing and unexpected. There is almost no filler and it’s just a bunch of crab that’s breaded and fried. Along with their special sauce, it was amazing. The king crab was cooked perfectly and we shared a pound. It's a crab shack, so don't expect fine dining service. According to a local, Dungeness crabs were being brought in by the local fishermen, so we opted for the all you can eat option. Super fresh. Cook well.

Fun experience in Juneau. Crab legs are big. Zero lines unlike the main restaurant on the port.

The rolls were a real treat. Buttery and hot. Thev Alaskan crab was delicious and the service was top notch. Definitely stop by. This location is away from the pier but the walk is worth it. It was quieter and no lines.

Don't miss the red crab. We had the red crab before the snow crab and realized we ate in the wrong order. The red was so delicious! Thanks Tracey's!

Nice outdoor restaurant. Seating is inside an enclosed tent like structure with picnic tables. Ordering takes place at a counter and is easy. You're given your drink, and you have a seat. Nice musical selections were playing. Our food was delivered to our table within 15 minutes. We had two pounds of king crab legs. It came with melted butter and rolls. All items were hot and tasty!! Highly recommend this establishment.

Gorgeous spot on the water. Great crab. Get the dungeoness if you want to save a few bucks.

If you're on a cruise ship, keep walking past the nearby Tracy's king crab shack to get to the second one. It's worth it! So good! The second one has a lot more space too.

I'll be honest. I was afraid this was going to be a "tourist trap" but I was so wrong. I got the dungeness crab meal and everything was amazing! Right on the water watching bald eagles fly as you're drinking beer and eating dinner. They even have a fire pit with lots of seating by the water. I'll be back soon!

agree with every other review, take the 10min walk to the off harbour location. Same food, shorter lines. We got 4lbs of king crab and it was worth every penny (yes, it is pretty expensive compared to Red Lobster). All the staff was friendly. It's fun when the bring the food out and they call your name and state!

Above and beyond my expectations. They do crab right. 10X better than the aquarium live crabs I get from my local market in the city thousands of miles away.

Excellent King Crab! The main Tracy’s had a huge line so we walked down from the main cruise dock, took about 10 min. There was no line here. Worth the walk! Views are great! Food is excellent! No wait! Same as the main restaurant, better views and no wait!

Sure it’s a bit pricey, but the crab is absolutely worth it. Everything we had was delicious and the crowds at this location are a lot less. Definitely recommend!

Great food. Had king crab bucket, crab cakes and bisque. Everything was delicious (especially the garlic rolls…definitely got refills of those…multiple times!). Worth the walk as the line was nonexistent compared to the main location on the pier.

This is the place to go in Juneau, Alaska people! Fresh crab and some other dishes, but this is their speciality. You won't be disappointed!

If you’re not in a hurry and prefer not to wait for 30+ minutes at the original shack, I highly recommend a 10-15 min walk (depending on your pace) to this one. Food is all the same and seating was plentiful. We had the king crab and snow crab legs which all were amazing. It was so sweet and juicy. It’s going to be brutal going home to not have fresh crabs like they do here. I’d come back just for the crabs!

Place is funky and nice. The food is mixed. I would suggest getting crab, plain crab with dips. Nothing they make is any good. The mini crab cakes were pretty bad, and used fake crab. The bisque was blah - couldn’t eat it all. The people who work there are very nice and service was good.

This place was everything I hoped it would be. this was my excursion in Juneau and worth every penny. the line moved super fast. food came out super fast. they run that place like a well oiled machine. and the combo was awesome. I was worried it'd only be like 1 leg, and I was not disappointed. the soup was amazing too. can't recommend it more!

Stopped here on our cruise. Crab is pricey but was 100% worth it. Would definitely recommend for anyone stopping. I had seen this second location on TikTok, had a much shorter line than the original and great views.

$144 later, we were stuffed full of amazing food! We got the combo #1 with snow crab, a pound of king crab, a side of fries, and a pop.

What an amazing treat!! King Crab right now very expensive but Tracy's knows how to make worth every bite. There is nothing like fresh Alaskan king crab.

Absolutely incredible food. The service system is a marvel too, honestly. When we showed up, the place was packed full, with a small line out the door. We expected we would be waiting for a little while, but the line kept constant movement, with people leaving at a consistent rate with the people entering (happened through our entire meal!). This is due in no small part by how the staff conduct their business. Order at the door, claim a seat, wash your hands while you wait only a few moments for your fresh food (they have a perfect assembly-line style system), and get ready to eat. I ordered the king crab platter, and I would do it again. The best crab I've ever had in my life, with the best crabcakes I've ever had in my life, with the best crab bisque I've ever had in my life. The only thing I wasn't spectacular about was the free garlic bread that comes with nearly any order, but like... who cares. It was good, it was fine, it just wasn't the 5 stars of the meal I actually ordered. When the worst thing I eat at a restaurant is still "good" and free, that's awesome. I would eat here every day if I was able to. Try the fried shrimp as well, but come here for the crab.

Excellent king crab right from the ocean. You're just eating at picnic tables under a tent, but based on the messy crab, that's probably best anyway.

Fast service, great food. It was raining off and on and the tented outdoor area was great. We had a combo meal with king crab, bisque soup, and crab cakes. Eveything was great!

Ordered a pound of red king crab to go for $70, total $83 w tax and tips. This is what I got. Sad right?! I know. I ate at the original location 2 days prior and know how much I should be getting, see side by side comparison. I’m 100% sure Shack 2 shorted me. It was too late by the time I got back to the hotel. Extremely upset that I didn’t get what I paid for. The crab is yummy, but not with the 50% up charge. TO GO ORDERS - BEWARE!!!!!!

Delicious options for crab lovers. A bit pricy, but hey - it's crab. This location has virtually no line compared to the one right off the cruise terminal.

Truly a ‘Shack’, it was drizzling and they had a fire set up within the Shack. We had lunch prior and wanted to give it a try but Tracy’s Shack 1 had a super long Q. We saw on the map there’s a no.2 Shack and decided to take a ~500m walk. We went for 1lb red king crab anyways and 2 legs came up. Their width is easily the size of 2 fingers combined. The Red King Crab was sweet and nicely cooked just by itself. No sauces needed.

We had about a 25 minute wait in line outside but it was worth it. Loved this place! You order at the counter grab a seat next to strangers who are soon to be friends sharing stories and eating great food. Got the Alaskan Red King Crab (5 out of 5) cooked perfectly and delicious - exactly what we were hoping for to get a crab fix. Also got the mini crab cakes (4.8 out of 5) and the crab bisque (4.5 out of 5) - there was a spice in the bisque I took off .5 for, personal taste thing but don’t me wrong I would gladly come back and get another bowl. Had local beer that was great as well! pictures are not the greatest because we started devouring the chow as soon as we got it. Sooo good. If you need a crab fix come here.

We walked here because the one by the boats is always packed, this location has GREAT views and fast service! And nice to take a walk through the Capital of Alaska!

Cute little place off the beaten path! We weren’t to the #2 location, I watched a tiktok saying this location was less busy and more authentic. That was the case! If you're getting off a cruise ship, walk the extra ten minutes for some peace and quiet. We got the sampler meal that they recommended, everything was super tasty! Was on the expensive side but pretty worth it! Three of us shared this for lunch and we were happy with it, it was a rich meal!

The service was fast, friendly and attentive. Great vibe on the water and perfect to sit outdoors and enjoy the views on a beautiful day. The crab cakes were pretty good. The crab was decent, but was a bit dry and stuck to the shells. I’m not an expert on crab but thought it might have been over-cooked??? The bisque was awful. It didn’t have any chunks of meat and was pretty bland in flavor, just a lot of grease. I’ve had much better.

The biggest highlight of my Alaskan cruise was in Juneau as we visited Tracy's Crab Shack 2! At $70 per pound, we ordered the ALASKAN GOLDEN KING CRAB since it's described to have a mild rich flavor, is locally caught, and has limited supply. This was definitely the right pick since the seafood was so fresh. It also comes with a butter dip - it was neat to taste the different flavors that are brought out with and without the butter. The garlic roll on the side was also nice and fluffy. Fun fact: to make the crab legs easier to eat, they give you tools as an aid. I highly recommend skipping the long line up at Tracy's King Crab Shack 1 which is the location closer to the port and gets some steps in, to visit their second location. No lines. Beautiful views. So worth the walk! The staff were friendly. Not much service as per the nature of the venue which isn't a traditional restaurant-style but rather truly a "Shack". One of the crew members did come to check up on us once to ask if we needed anything. When you enter the area, you order at the booth per pound, giving them your name and where you're from. While you sit to wait, they call out "[your name] from [place]!" and bring the food to you. You are more than welcome to help yourself to iced water which they keep fully stocked up and cold near the seating area. There are metal picnic tables or bar stool type seats - your choice!

The crab roll was fine. The crab cakes tasted like they were probably frozen beforehand. The actual bit of crab in the roll was good. Can't speak to the quality of their actual crab dishes.

Wonderful crabs! Loved the cooking area where you could watch the crabs cooking and being brought out to serve. The food was fresh, tasty and brought out quickly. A must go to place for crabs in Alaska! We ate crabs in seven cities in Alaska and they are the best.

This is the less busy spot down the street from the cruise drop-off hub. It's the same food, different location. The prices are the same, but without the wait. It's about a 10-minute walk, and you will discover Philippine cuisine (street cart) along the way, absolutely mouth-watering and tasty. Reminded me of Subic Bay. Then I reached Tracy's Crab Shack2. I was already full, and you know they not lettin' you bring that crab back on the boat (what a shame), my eyes were bigger than my stomach. The one downside, it was chilly and 🌧.

Split 3 lbs of snow, dungeness, and golden king crab legs between 3 people. Crab legs were delicious and worth the money. The snow crab was our favorite between the three we ordered. Service was pretty good as well. If you’re stopping in Juneau, make sure you stop at Tracy’s!

Everything was great which explains the long line and no where to sit lol we loved it other than that!

Our friend was visiting and had never had crab before. So, we knew where to go! We splurged on the red crab and it was worth it! Crab cakes were yummy too. Service was not great. They literally just brought us the crab. None of the sides, utensils, butter, etc. When we asked they would just bring one thing at a time and then apologize for forgetting the rest. It was funny at least🤣 Also, we were a party of 3 and the gave is 2 rolls. For spending $300 they could be a bit more generous with the sides.

We heard of this place and wanted to come for the crab. When we arrived it was closed for private event, but asked if we can still come in to eat. Luckily and unknowingly I was asking the Tracy she is the owner and she accommodated us. We came for the Alaskan Red Crab, and boy it did not disappoint. My kid doesn’t like crab but he tried it and he wanted more. No seasoning needed the flavor of sweet salty crab was perfectly fresh. We also ordered the crab cakes and just WOW on those. Did I not mention the IPA beer, for those who drink. Don’t forget to look online they can deliver to most places in the USA. “Tracy” if you are reading this, it’s Joel. I was the one thanking you for letting us enter even while you had a private event. It was great to have met you and telling me about how you grew the small Crab Shack and came to be this landmark in my eyes, of a great spot for crabs. Thanks again.
