A wide variety of beer and spirits. The barstaff is nostalgic, and the atmosphere is everything St Augustine. This bar is a must go anytime you visit the area to be a tourist. It's just a 3 minute walk from St George St.

We frequent St Augustine annually. A time to get away to this great historical City. I'm finding it increasingly so, that customer service is failing. We only visit this bar for the live music. I found the evening female bartender to have attitude, unapproachable and unpleasant with a scowl. And not a happy staff. It gives a not so pleasant vibe, even though it's a packed house for the music. An elderly lady knocked her drink over accidentally and then charged her for another. A very unpleasant way to deal with your customers. I made my visit short in Trade Winds. Dog Rose Brewing Company has live music 🎶 and a very friendly staff. Pros; Popcorn at the back of the bar 🍿 self-serve, is very good. The afternoon bartender, very polite and welcoming.

Not the best service, bartender was rude when I asked for a water. Said I need to be a paying customer to stay assuming I wasnt going to order more. Paid for soda to stay and charged way over price. Very small bathrooms but I do Love the live music, best thing about the bar.

My sister and I were in St Augustine for three nights. We found this bar and loved it to the point of visiting every night. The live music is terrific, the drink prices very reasonable and the staff awesome. Matt, the day bartender is great and our favorite person was Angela or SA. It is the oldest bar in the city. I highly recommend visiting this bar.

I have been a patron of a trade Winds for 15 years. Recently the level of night service has changed dramatically. I would rate much higher for the afternoon and early evening customer service experience. We had a table of 8 ordering drinks, enjoying music and anticipating our favorite band Blister. When the late evening staff changed - not only was the women server rude but our table was literally ignored after we settled the tabs for the people who were leaving before Blister started their set. 4 of us remained at our table with NO contact or service. When I went to the bar to order for our table I might as well have been invisible! We literally did not receive any service at our table or at the bar during the set for Blister. Music was amazing - customer service horrible!!!

We stopped in to watch the live music, which was awesome! Both guys were great, we enjoyed their guitar riffing and improv. The first round of drinks was great! We had a buy one get one for the second round because we bought a pint glass and the waitress / bartender was rude when we ordered. When we got our drinks, there was NO alcohol in the margarita, it was just straight sour mix. Overall, great music, but bad service. (From one waitress, the other bartender and waitress seemed great and were friendly!)

The live band was awesome! The male bartender excellent. The female one was a nasty one. She made the wrong drink and then began using the F bomb on me. The male bartender was polite and apologized and fixed it. She then threw out my boyfriend’s drink when he went to the bathroom. I initially asked her very politely to pour him another drink and it was his birthday. Again, she got this attitude. I’m not sure why this place would hire a person like this who clearly doesn’t like her job. We go out to enjoy and have fun— not to be made feel bad when they make a drink wrong and then throw one out. All she had to do was be polite and fix it. WORST service ever in my life from a nasty bartender. If I was management, she would be FIRED. I would give this a five star rating for the band atmosphere and the male bartender but the nasty attitude bartender who clearly hates her job brings it down to a 1 star.

Staff was really rude from the moment we walked in. Bartender did not want to take our individual orders when there were only a few other people at the bar and was very dismissive. Other staff was very unwelcoming and confrontational for not tipping because the service was bad. Yelled at us to move when could have easily said excuse me. Will not be coming back due to the rude workers.

Service was terrible. We wanted one drink and it was clear they didn’t want to us there. If u want crazy insane workers go here!

I don’t get the rave about this place. I took my wife to St Augustine and this was the first establishment we stopped in. As a Latina, she was the only non-white person in the whole place and it just felt a little weird. It’s crowded. You have to squeeze through the chairs to get through the room. The bathroom was two urinals right next to each other so close a guy almost peed on my shoes and the door opens and the whole place can see you standing there trying to urinate. Not very welcoming staff. After we left this venue and saw the rest of the town my wife said that truly is a bad representation of everything else that St Augustine has to offer.

No food, no menus I don't understand. If you want to be a successful bar/ restaurant , please accommodate to the customers needs. Enjoyed the live music and customer service but no menus... No good.

My tequila sunrise was kinda strong but me and my husband liked the live music and atmosphere. We didn’t eat here so I can’t say anything about the food.

Very fun place with live music. The band was excellent (classic rock) and so was our bartender Holly. If there was an Olympics for bartenders, she'd have a gold medal! Busy as could be and she still kept up on drinks and kept a great attitude, even when about 2 dozen people came in at once and filled up the place. We'll definitely go back next time we're in St Aug. We didn't eat here so I don't know how the food is.

Super fun place !! I didn’t give them 4 stars because the service is not the best and the waitresses are kind of rude . Other than the gentleman at the door gave me a great sit at the front and they were super friendly. I ordered club soda with lime and lots of ice and had a great time !

Kind of boring hole in the wall. It was fine but there's better things to do than be here.

It’s a hole in the wall but with character and charm, It’s a must stop and drink place. We first went by there around 4 and it was empty then returned at 6 and it was full and a guy looking like Willy Nelson was singing. The bartenders were sassy and fun, oh they poured every drink a double without even asking. We left after an hour but came back for round 2 around 9 and it was still full and fun. Next time we are in town we will be back. It’s not fancy, it’s not shiny but it’s entertaining.

What a awesome little hole in the wall bar. Ignore the 1 star reviews. The bartenders were awesome!!! The Rio grande band was fantastic. Will definately go again when we come back up to st augustine.

Boaters beware. If you go alone, you can become fodder for weird pranks and be filmed on social media. You can be attacked or removed from the bar by the bouncer for no reason other than a local/regular wanted your seat. Terrifying experience that involved being cut and bleeding, bouncer wanted to refuse medical assistance.

We stopped in for a couple of beers because we heard live music. We go in, order a beer at the bar and the bartender was soooo rude. How about smile at the people coming into your bar? We got our beer without any indication the bartender( possible owner) cared if we were there or not. I closed my tab which took forever to get because he was talking football with a guy at the bar. When he handed me the check he was STILL talking football to another patron and didn’t have the decency to look at me. I shouldn’t have left a tip. Plus, the music was WAY too loud. It sounded good from the outside, but once you got in….wear ear plugs! I don’t suggest this place if you are expecting a fun atmosphere or engaging bartenders.

Could not recommend this place any less specifically because of how rude and unprofessional some of the servers are here. We had a humongous party from a wedding in there giving them so much business and there was a server that was extremely disrespectful. She full out disrespected about 4 people in the group completely non affiliated as well. I’ll just leave it at that. Never going back to this bar again and honestly will be spreading the word. The music was amazing but that does not make a business. Service like that is a shame.

We went there to have a couple of drinks and listen to the live music. It was not that crowded. The waitress with the white knee socks and shorts was very disrespectful. She threatened to call the police on us because we were dancing along the wall and not on the dance floor. Would not recommend going there if you want to have fun

If you count popcorn as food, then OK, food is good too 😁. Been here many times when in town. Have always had a good time. Any negative reviews here are either sour grapes from ungrateful trolls or jealous competitors trying to steal customers.

just now NEW Went on June 4th after a concert and the bartenders were some of the RUDEST people I have ever encountered. Never been to a place with worse service or ruder people. Looking at the reviews i can see many many other people have had this same experience over a long span of time and the owners do not care. Not only do they not respond to reviews, but they clearly keep the same rude staff. Do NOT recommend.

We had the best time at Trade Winds tonight. Great live music with Vegas Gray. Fun atmosphere with lots of singing along 80's and 90's music. Drinks were spot on. Angie was the highlight of the night with impeccable service. She was serving at least half the tables in this packed bar and yet we never went without a drink. Will definitely be going back again soon.

Female Bartender is rude and just downright mean. Will only come in for live music and stay away from the bar. I’m not one to leave a bad review. The establishment is amazing!

My sister was kicked out with no explanation after paying for her drink that she wasn’t allowed to drink. I hope the owner of this establishment reminds her staff that those customers are what keeps the doors open and keeps their paychecks coming in. On a final note people do look at reviews sometimes before going to establishments so when you’re being rude to someone don’t forget social media still exists.

Never in my life have I been made to feel so incredibly unwelcome. We were really looking forward to some live music and a few drinks but within a minute of being here, the waitress came over, shouted us for IDs (no hi how ya doing) , aggressively admonished my 73-year-old father in law for giving a sip of his drink to my 35 year old firefighter husband, and then proceeded to deny service to my husband and sister in law (both over 35) because they didn’t have original passports with them. While I completely understand that it’s her responsibility to ID especially in a college town, her attitude was completely inexcusable. I too have been a bartender in a college town and could never imagine treating customers like that. We all were carrying valid forms of ID that have been more than fine at every other establishment we’ve visited in the ten days prior. She eventually cooled down when I explained (clearly she must have had a closer look and believed us), and she tried to say we could be served if the bartender was fine with our IDs. But after the way she rudely spoke to not only us but my father in law, I told her we didn’t want to stay. My mom lives in St Augustine and will certainly not be going back. What an awful experience.

Went with a friend to grab a drink and maybe a bite to eat. Sat down and was asked to show ID…no biggie right? Gave her my ID and she looks at it funny and accuses me of having a fake ID, so I said that it wasn’t and politely offered to show another form of identification. I gave her another form of identification and she snatches it out of my hand with an attitude. She proceeds to examine it very closely, and isn’t satisfied with a second form of identification. She then asked me to see my credit card, and I told her “if this is going to be this difficult to have a drink here, I’m gonna leave” and so we did. After my friend and I got up and walked to the door, she PUSHED my friend! How inappropriate! Never ever coming back.

Classic pub in old town St Augustine. Live music in week nights so how can you go wrong? Fast fried bar service. Recommended.

St. Augustine’s downtown anchor! Angie and Kaydee are literally amazing! They are so fast and efficient they keep the place running like a well oiled machine! Those ladies take such good care of us every time we go in!

Cool atmosphere, love the theming. However, I had the rudest bar tender experience. Maybe the guy was having a bad night, he was rude, didn't acknowledge customers, never said thank you, look miserable to be there. Bad bartender equals bad bar experience.

The bar support staff were incredibly rude. The girl with the dreads and the blonde specifically. I paid for my drinks with exact cash and the dread head goes, “wow, no tip??” Are you kidding me? I haven’t even gotten my drinks yet. I’m a server myself, of course I’m gonna tip, but I shouldn’t have with that attitude. The blonde also had the nastiest attitude. She acted like doing her job was the most troublesome thing in the world. When my friend told her we needed our last drink she insisted we never asked for it in the most condescending tone, not once, but twice. We were both there, I heard her say it, but regardless we need our drink so maybe just handle it without being a ditch? I easily tipped over 20% on top of the cover and I wish I hadn’t, cannot recommend. The bartender was concise but very busy and served us with haste, she was great. Dread head almost lost her her tip though. The bouncer was friendly and welcoming.

No wonder all of the 1 star reviews mention the dread head. She was insanely petty and rude.

Went to this little pub with couple friends. They had great live music and cold beers. The staff was very kind and we loved the atmosphere!! Great place to have some fun in st Augustine!

What a fun dive bar and open until 2 am on a Friday night! The live music was incredible and the drinks were reasonable! The only thing that kind of bothered me was the designated dancing space. I kind of just wanted to hang out with my friends and dance a little where I was!

The two man Jackhammer band played rock tunes from up and down the ages. Bartenders and waitstaff Matt, Sara, Angie P, Eric, Holly and Julie were super attentive and treated these visiting sailors like we were long time friends.

The music was wonderful, crowd was great….service? No so much. I asked our waitress (cute with dreads) if I accidentally left my card in the book after we decided to stay for another drink and realized my card was not in my wallet. She said “how long have you known the person next to you” and walked off. My card was in fact in the book, had to go to the bartender for assistance.

Best dive bar in the area. Great band tonight. But what is the most impressive is the efficiency of the two gals working the bar and waitressing. My drink was never empty all night and had a fresh drink in seconds when I asked. A group of 15 ppl walked in during a rush and they all had drinks in less than 5 minutes. Ive never even witnessed a bar full with 5 baretenders be able to do that. Those girls deserve a raise.

One week post Ian- on our second honeymoon and found this lovely local bar. Mark was amazing! Had pasta salad home made for patrons...Smoking Joe playing guitar and dishing out comedy...$5 rum punch . All of us choosing songs and breathing... come on come down Enjoy !

The most RACISTS BAR in St Augustine. Don't go there unless you are white.!!!! The treatment of Hispanic is disgraceful. The waitress with the dreds, is the biggest racist in the place!!!!

If you’d like a yummy bloody (any hour they are open), you’ll find the staff that is friendly and they have excellent live music. This was my go-to during the pandemic, as they stayed open and entertained us all. There’s even free popcorn. :)
