This restaurant is permanently closed. We did not find this out until we arrived and couldn't get in. Called the number for the restaurant and got a message about permanent closure. They should have been taken off of Open Table.

I didn't care for the food, and when we asked for the lobster pot pie to be split 4 ways everyone had a smerk look on their faces. Thought that having being recommended by Amercan Express concierage the Italian food would be good but after my mom ate the seafood pasta she went straight to the bathroom and blew it up. Thank god no one else ate it.

Excellent meal. Since my wife and I dined at Trattoria Divina on the nigh5 before closing we wish Harry, Tammy and the Staff all the best in their future endeavors. J Martin

First time dined there and will definitely go back. Very original pasta menu, not the same old thing you get at most Italian restaurants. Excellent service, good wine and atmosphere. It's a must here in HH. Oh and the homemade pasta is wonderful.

Great service and options for great food

We made this reservation in October when we saw the great reviews on Trip Advisor site . We ate there tonight and they did not disappoint. From the small welcome glass of champagne to our wonderful entrees , dessert and spot on service , we are happy and look forward to returning in the future.

Christmas Eve reservations early 5:30. I think we were the first maybe second there. The whole restaurant was empty. I thought uht oh not a way to impress the in-laws. Within 30 minutes the place was packed. Excellent service excellent food. Father in law ordered the Lobster Pot pie. It could feed 6. He will be having leftovers for days. Great time. Great experience. We will be back

Favorite restaurant and best kept secret in the area. Fresh home made pasta, incredible seafood dishes....just a great experience.

Servers were friendly and efficient. Dining room was quiet but mainly because there were only 3 tables occupied when we arrived at 7:20. Our dinners were just OK - which is contrary to other times we have eaten there. One person ordered the lobster pot pie that was listed as a ‘signature’ dish. It was beautifully presented but was lukewarm, at best. This was the first time that 4 of these people had dined there. Not a good first impression.

Excellent food and service, Chef and owner from our favorite restaurant in LaJolla Calif. A must for Italian classics, do your self a favor and join them for an evening to remember ciao!

The pasta was phenomenal! Service was true from the heart. And The chocolate lava cake melted like heaven. Must visit!

The staff was very accommodating and the food was delicious. We were a party of six and had a round table which was great. Mushroom risotto was not on the menu but when I asked about it the chef made it for me.

This is a new favorite of our family’s on the island. The menu had so many delicious options it was difficult to choose. The food was amazing; everything was so fresh and flavorful. Our server was outstanding, very attentive and knowledgeable. The glass of Prosecco as we ordered and chefs bite was a nice surprise as well.

Extremely nice restaurant that did a very good job. Our waiter was exceptional. Good choice of items on the menu. They are semi BYOB if you consider the $20 corkage fee.

Terrific food, lovely ambience, excellent service. This is a really fine restaurant at a very reasonable price.

I asked if I could take the chef home. Alas, no. The man is a genius of sauces. We have returned here every fall when we vacation at Hilton Head. So many choices, yet every year we return. It is just so special. This year the pasta machine was broken. But our chef made handcut linguini, and cooked the noodles perfectly, and dressed them in a seafood sauce that was beyond heaven. It was our first time at this restaurant and the food and service were wonderful. The pasta is all house made and tasted like it. I had the spicy marinara sauce and it was fantastic and just spicy enough not to be overpowering. My wife has shrimp scampi type of dish and loved hers as well. Both of us took enough home for another meal! We will be back.

I"ve dined at Trattoria Divina 4 times, and the food has ranged from great to totally divine. On this most recent visit, my friend and I both had dietary needs -- lactose intolerance and gluten intolerance. Our waiter was very helpful with recommending good options, and chef was happy to make our chosen dishes without cheese. Both were delicious.

Of the dining experiences we had on Hilton Head this one is me and my wife’s favorite, between setting the mood early on of excellent service, and making you feel so classy and important this restaurant goes above and beyond to make you have the greatest night ever, definitely recommend for people on anniversaries like we were they did amazing will be going back in the future

Dominic did a great job. Knew the menu and all the intricacies of the food. Available when needed without hanging over our shoulder. Food was very good with the homemade pastas great. Still haven't figured the best way to get in to the shopping center where the restaurant is located. A bit confusing but worth the effort!

We came before the crowds so service was great. The sauces were absolutely delish! Lick the plate good! The wine complemented the meals well and the desserts were perfect. We will come back the next time we are in Hilton Head

We took our guests from Texas to Trattoria Divina while visiting in Hilton Head. The waiter was just attentive enough without being intrusive. We were given a glass of Champaign and a small appetizer to begin. Our salads and entrees were delicious and beautifully presented. Our out of town guests were very impressed. We recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting in the Hilton Head, SC area!

Went for the Early Bird special with friends who had not been there before. Food, service was excellent and so were the choices. The perfect dining experience from beginning to end. We are a group of friends who dine together once a month and our goal is to experience something new and different each month. Trattoria Divina was a great choice. The service was perfect, the food presentation was superb, and the food was excellent. My wife and I enjoy HHI and dine at TD on every trip. Twice we have dined with friends who live on the island but hadn’t dined atTD. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The house made pasta is wonderful. Great staff from the welcome with a complimentary champagne to finish they are friendly and very accommodating. This was our fourth visit and can’t wait to return.

I was at this restaurant many years ago but must not have had a memorable experience because I never went back again. Well let me tell you this last visit was very memorable. I was celebrating a birthday, it was a Sunday night and I wanted a good Italian meal, not just something that I can make at home. I have to say the restaurant was not really busy but it was Sunday and the tourist season is over. I requested a table in the small wine room and was promptly seated there. Out waitress appeared with a glass of Prosecco for everyone to enjoy while we looked at the menu - a really nice touch. The menu has some of the standard Italian favorites but also some creative options and all of the pastas are made in house. The bread is to die for and comes with traditional butter but also some type of a garlic spread - we had 2 baskets!! 2 people had Arrabbiata with shrimp which was a white wine sauce rather than the standard red - very creative and they lived it! My husband (the traditionalists) had the veal parm that came with homemade pasta and declared it to be the best he’s ever had. I can’t remember the name of my dish but it was a homemade cheese ravioli type of pasta with the most exquisite mushroom Marsala cream sauce - heavenly! We all scraped our plates and declared this to be the best Italian food we’ve had in Hilton Head

Best meal at this restaurant all year.

We ordered the lobster pot pie and split it two ways, which was plenty of food per person, and actually quite filling. There was no need for additional sides, which is noteworthy since, unless you hit their early bird special, it is an a la carte menu. The vegetables in the pot pie were not overcooked, but still firm as we like them. The lobster meat was tender enough. The sauce was tasty. Overall, this dish was an excellent choice. With dinner pricing on the expensive side in Hilton Head in general, as is also the case at this restaurant, this was a good value, comparatively speaking, and we were not charged extra for splitting, as some places will do. The restaurant we had eaten at the night prior charged $5 for splitting! So of the 3 nights we ate out in Hilton Head, this was our least expensive and best quality dinner. We also shared a plate of calamari as an appetizer, which was excellent----tender, and not overly salty and "padded" with cheap vegetables as other restaurants tend to do it.

Trattoria Divina was one of my favorite restaurants and it was my choice to celebrate my birthday with dear friends. It was for the first time disappointing, food was just okay. Took my favorite item off the menu, changed the sunset dining menu. Don't think I will return and it used to be my #1 choice.

Although what I had was delicious I found the pasta entrees limited. There were 3 of us dinning and our server suggested we share a salad. We had a fabulous Cesar salad, outstanding. The Procicoe before dinner was a lovely and yummy touch. Wonderful service. Outside dinning is available and would be lovely had the temperature and humidity cooperated.

WE ate family style which they had no problem with accommodating. The Calamari is among the best I have ever had. Loved the Lobster Ravioli. The fresh homemade pasta really adds to the quality of the food. I would very much recommend this restaurant.

I had an amazing dinner here with my three children (ages 10-15) and my parents. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. The halibut was superb. Everyone thoroughly enjoy their meals. I’m only disappointed that I didn’t start dining here in prior visits to Hilton Head. Can’t wait to come back. Well done!

Our waiter spent the evening conversing with personal conversation to the table behind us. Apparently the people must have been locals and he felt the need to cater to them and talk with them about his kids etc.. We sat for periods of time with empty plates on our table.

We love Trattoria Divina. Last night was our third time here. You are warmly greeted and treated to a complimentary glass of Prosecco . The menu is amazing and our server told us added Specials, including the price. We appreciate this. Our food was amazing, our waitress warm and friendly and the ambiance is wonderful. This has become our favorite restaurant .

We love dining in the Wine Room at the restaurant, Everything was fine, but I was a little disappointed with the preparation of the food Don't get me wrong, the food was very good,as usual, but the preparation was strange in that the pasta was advertised as having a marinara sauce and if was actually in a very little sauce and mostly tomatoes. This has been a yearly must on our HHI vacation for at least the past 4 years. It never disappoints! I recommend the Osso Buco, It is to-die-for good! Delicious flavor: fall off the bone veal shank accompanied by fresh linguini. My husband and our friend enjoyed the Tartufo Papperadelle with a lobster add-on . Abundant lobster (hubby even shared a coveted claw with me) . Perfectly prepared and the fresh truffles imparted a delicious texture and flavor. Nice selection of reasonably priced wine both by the glass or bottle.

Over the past 5 years we have been here 4 times and always enjoyed the meal. Sadly I think this last visit will be our last- nothing special or outstanding about the food. Service was good but the courses came out so quickly we felt we were being rushed (and there were empty tables.) I am curious how an Italian restaurant doesn’t serve cappuccino?

This was our second time coming to Trattoria Divina. We made reservations and were seated immediately coming through the door. We were given a great table in the wine room, it was intimate and quiet. The service was excellent and the food incredible, just like the first time we visited. Our only suggestion would be to turn the AC up a little, it was warm in the restaurant. We will definitely be back next year, and the years after that!

I would give 5 Stars across the board except for the busgirl. The waiter was awesome, the food was excellent. The busgirl needs a little training - when filling the water she banged the glasses on the table (maybe tablecloths would help). She took away my wife's plate before I was finished , just her over all table manners needs guidance, it was not just our table that she was more focused on the task than the customer. That said, I will definitely go back.

All in all a great experience. Our waiter was wonderful and the food was great.

Not great food - just Ok. No pesto. We felt rushed by the servers. Definitely skippable.
