A very cute artsy vibe and very good food. I got a sausage, egg, and cheese wrap and was very pleased. The only drawback is they only serve drip coffee no lattes or hot chocolate. I would def return though.

My wife and I had waited many months for the chance to enjoy the tapas night. Needless to say it was well worth the wait. What a wonderful gastronomic experience !

Excellent food. Be prepared for a wait on the weekend (it's worth it, but I frequently order ahead and just eat there). I feel like most people go here for the brunch/breakfast but the lunch menu is not to be missed either. Cheesesteak has to be one of the best in the area. If you're at the pool the time it takes to wait in that line is probably longer than calling ahead this place going and picking it up and coming back - food for thought. And to top it all off, the sweets they have are also on par with some of the best bakeries around (Liv and Breadstand) You really cant lose here.

Best sandwich ever. The ciabatta is so light and airy. I had the leftover thanksgiving sandwich and I’ll definitely be back for the bread pudding

The food is so good, but every weekend they run out of the ingredients to make the hangover cure burritos way too early, and they never seem to adjust even though it happens every weekend. We’ve had to find other places as a result. Such a bummer.

Everything I've tasted here has been delicious. I won't even recommend anything because it's all so so tasty and you cannot go wrong. The staff and atmosphere are lovely. It's a no frills sort of joint with really good coffee, really good vibes and a menu that's exciting and delicious.

I love this place. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the inside of the cafe is very unique. I love the vintage decor. The Turkey Goat sandwich special is my favorite.

Top spot for a fantastic Pork Roll sammy...The bun they use has an amazing crispy texture on the outside and an incredibly soft inside! So, as full as the sandwich might look, it's actually pretty easy to eat! The atmosphere inside is calm and eclectic with a very vintage aesthetic and the staff serving are all very warm and attentive! I will always take a day to stop here whenever I visit Jersey from now on.

Run don't walk to this place, I can't say enough about the pastries and the food. I could eat here every day. The service is implacable. Try the bread pudding and thank me later

I have tried alot of pork roll egg and cheese before... this place makes a great one especially due to their bread. Don't let the decor throw you, its great food and Very friendly service. I don't normally like bread pudding, but this was good, found myself eating more than I expected. The short rib cup was good, we all tried it.

The coffee shop atmosphere is incredible and more importantly a very clean place No to mention that SILVER have a vey upscale of customer service, He when above and beyond. my sister and I when there for breakfast, we had the delicious avocado toast, the scone, tea and coffee. The food is good. The place is nice you feel all the pieces inside are one of a kind. The guy that works there had a really good customer service. It happens to be my birthday so he gave me a dessert. That was such a really great act of kindness. I will comeback to this place anytime I’m in this town. 👍🏻

If you follow them on Instagram, you’ll find this hidden gem hosts a tapas night. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at the dishes this tiny spot cooks up. Some of the best tapas I’ve had, and the menu changes regularly. The short ribs are my favorite. I can’t recommend their tapas dinners enough!

The monthly tapas night at True Slavage is Maplewood’s best kept secret but really, it shouldn’t be be a secret because Signe and Silver, the proprietors of True Salvage truly deserve all the accolades for these special gustatory events. I’m a fan girl, coming to these events for over a year now, and can tell you that every morsel, from the Patatas Bravas to the short ribs, is a party for your taste buds. Reservations are a tough get so if you can’t score one, make sure to stop by during regular hours to see what’s on the daily menu. True Salvage never disappoints.

My family gets breakfast and lunch from True Salvage often - the food is always delicious and the staff are so warm/welcoming. We recently attended a Tapas night and it was AMAZING! The dishes were so yummy and the ambiance was lovely. We highly recommend True Salvage and feel very grateful that this gem of a restaurant is in the Borden Park neighborhood.

Had to try the top rated THEC sandwich from 2020. Did not disappoint...the roll was excellent but the sandwich was a bit sloppy to eat, probably because there was so much on it. Definitely going back!!!

Avocado toast - with eggs, greens and pepitas - excellent per wife I had a goat cheese end turkey that was simple and perfect Nice guy at the counter too

Eclectic decor to enjoy and experience while waiting for your order. The menus are at eye level by the cashier, which I very much appreciated. I ordered the melted roast beef sandwich; it was delicious. It had the right amount of roast beef so the sandwich could keep its structure. Caramelized onions added a hint of sweetness to complement the mustard and cheese. The cibatta bread was perfectly toasted and the right thickness for the meaty sandwich. Overall, great tasting sandwich and will definitely come to try their other sandwiches.

I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a plain toasted bagel . The wait time is a little long , the guy on the phone told me 20 minutes . I received my food after 25 minutes . But I will say, even though they toasted the bagel a little bit harder then I expected, it was still very delicious . Everything cooked perfectly and fulfilling for my late breakfast . There was beautiful Pastries there that I noticed other customers ordering and a nice ambience . I was in a rush but will be back to taste some of the items !

Really nice interior design, the only thing I would change are the things out front of the window. The reason why I never went earlier when I would walk/bike/drive-by was that it was hard to see what kind of place it was by just looking in. As far as the food goes what I had (hummus wrap) was quite great, however, it was the only single item on the vegan menu. At this point when I go to cafes, there are usually a decent handful of vegan and vegetarian options, but they were lacking here. There were plenty of options that could have been made available if they carried either beyond or impossible meat alternatives(previously said burgers). Overall, great food and atmosphere, but would like to see a few more options.

Omg 😱, best bread pudding I’d ever had; food is delicious, the ciabatta bread they use is a die for. Pass by and don’t forget to try their secret iced tea and/or the iced coffee.

Great for breakfast lunch and when they have it available dinner! Wish they had specials on their website tho so you don’t have to have an instagram account to view them. Personally not a fan of social media.

More than just a cafe. Terrific food and baked goods (and a great coffee selection). Visually interesting, plus many of the antiques are for sale!
