Beautiful hotel in front of Aventura Mall, ideal for being without a car and enjoying the facilities. The rate includes a day trip to the water park next door, which is small but worth it. My only complaint is about the attention of one of the Front Desk people named Jackie. We waited in a 5-star hotel and being Marriott Titanium to have a special reception, however, this lady was rude, did not make eye contact and when we asked for breakfast included in the rate, she went to consult the back office without saying anything. All this with the face of a public employee, zero empathy and bordering on rudeness. Finally fed up with this lady, we went on to finish the check-in process with Diego, who was next to us and apologized for this person's attitude. It is a hotel that has a LOT of movement and there are people constantly checking in/out (there are always lines) but that does not justify the mistreatment of this lady or her bad attitude towards the guests. If you don't like customer service, maybe you should try another field since hospitality is not your thing. Fortunately, all the staff were super friendly, at breakfast, pool area, etc. and we put aside this first bad impression.

Having stayed at various Marriott's I have to say this was a very disappointing stay. The level of customer service was something you would expect at a small hotel. The resort was extremely understaffed. The food was mediocre at best. Definitely will not be visiting this property again.

5th year in a row staying there for my son’s birthday. He loves it because of the waterpark which is amazing. However, even sans the waterpark, there are dozens of other activities for all ages offered by the hotel to keep you pleasantly busy whether you are staying two days or two weeks.

This is a beautiful hotel but unfortunately disappointed us immensely with service. We usually have such wonderful times at family resorts with Marriott but unfortunately waited four and a half hours for our room AFTER 4pm quoted check in time. Many staff members told us over and over that our room was getting it's final review only to finally have the manager share that they ran out of linen and were waiting for it. Front desk staff were miserable and when we walked into the on-site Starbucks, the staff said "hello, we close in 2 min" then rushed us through our order. The food and drinks are expensive on site but tasty. Sad the service was so bad because the pool slides are fun and lazy river is relaxing for kids and parents. Once we finally did get our rooms, they were comfortable and beautiful. Sadly, still can't recommend. This was during a day where pool staff told us it was a comparatively "slow day" of business. I can't imagine what a mess it would have been during the height of the season. We will not be back.

Having spent 10 years in the hotel industry, I generally walk into a new property without any real expectations. Walking this property I was quite impressed. Very spacious with lots of amenities and it seemed as if every inch (including the back of house areas I saw) was spotless. The staff I interacted with in the lobby were very professional and courteous.

If this was a cheap 3 star hotel, it would deserve 4 stars. For a 5 star hotel at this price, it deserves 3 stars at best. Very disappointing and not worth what we paid. We were traveling for a conference so did not have a choice of hotel. Check in was easy and quick, but we arrived at 11:30am. They upgraded our room when we asked if there was a better option available and it was ready immediately, which great and unexpected. After that it was all downhill. The front desk line was always long, chaotic and cramped. Passing through the lobby became very unpleasant. Room- toilet was broken and either would either not flush or keep flushing. We did not want to deal with asking for maintenance or a room change. TV remote needed batteries which we didn’t know until we went to turn it off late at night (it had the time, weather etc so we’d left it on) and they were not able to provide batteries at that time so we ended up having to unplug it. The bedding was nowhere near the quality I would expect. Mattress pad that is too small is strapped onto the bed and you can feel every strap. The bottom sheet is not fitted so slips around while you’re sleeping, along with the mattress pad. There was a lumpy, crumpled tag in the middle of the bed by our feet that bothered us both throughout the night. Overall the bed itself was okay, but the bedding made sleeping uncomfortable. There is no fridge or microwave in the room, but I did find out I could request one from another guest. The shower, soaking tub and robe were the best part of the stay. The noise of doors slamming and people walking by is LOUD. The saving grace was that the alarm clock has Bluetooth so I was able to connect my phone and play white noise. Other colleagues reported guests in rooms near theirs keeping them up and partying until 5am. Housekeeping took our dirty towels and left us without bath towels so I had to request more and wait for them to be delivered. There were frequently children both at the “adults only” pool; as far as I could tell they were not asked to leave. In addition, they allowed a group of college kids to bring a speaker into the pool area and blast music. Trash bins at the pool were overflowing. You have to go to the pool attendant to be set up with pool towels but in general they seemed not to want to be bothered. One pool attendant had headphones in the entire time and appeared to be on the phone while working. It was always a very awkward experience. Although the water park is advertised as part of the resort, it is actually open to the public and extremely overcrowded. Selection overall is limited, and selection for the price is horrible. Obviously everything at hotels and in this area is overpriced; this goes beyond that. There is only one pool, no hot tub, and the pool “bar” is actually more like a glorified bar cart. To be advertising this place as a “5 star resort” is laughable. There was a language barrier with most of the staff we encountered. We had stayed at another hotel (4 stars and less than half the price) the prior two nights and although English was also clearly the second language of most of that staff they were hospitable, attentive, and able to more than effectively communicate with guests. The staff at the previous hotel made us feel not only welcome but like they truly enjoyed their jobs and hosting us; this one made us feel like a nuisance. I actually ended up in tears that we had left the other hotel for this one.

This was my first and most likely last time at this particular resort. 15% of the staff was welcoming and helpful and they are lucky to have those wonderful people. The front desk failed to manage expectations when we arrived. After we checked in and walked to the building, then room with our luggage, we walked in to find a king suite when my friend and I had booked a two queen suite. The room did not smell good at all. My friend walked down to the front and was told they had sold out of the 2 queen rooms. No apologies from the gentleman working at the front desk. She asked to speak to his manager and he told her the manager wasn't there. My friend sees the manager walk out her office and asks him if that was his manager and he acknowledged it was. She ran after her and told her what happened and that's how we received the first level of service recovery. She did try to defend the front desk gentleman by saying it was a language barrier but it was not. She affirmed there were no more suites available but upgraded us to a suite. This room smelled clean and was much better but not much bigger. The sofa bed mattress was the worst I've ever slept on. Comfort Inns have done better than this one. But we were tired, so I made it work the first night and just slept on the couch the other nights. We were hanging out with our friend who was a titanium member and saw that same gentleman bring champagne to her room and spoke perfect English. We found out she had been offered a double bed room the day before we checked in even though she was one person. Perhaps this is why our reserved room was no longer available. The bar tenders were awesome at this resort. Absolutely no complaints there. There was a Fraternity convention there and they were a bit rowdy but I would never complain about that. The valet is an issue. No one answered when we called from the room. 10-15 minimum wait to get you car but they were so nice and really hustling. They may need some golf carts because the lot is far from the check in. The pool was amazing and they have a water park so it's very kid friendly. I think some of the staff wasn't very approachable when you needed assistance but I prefer the other Marriott chains much more than this. Just a FYI $1500 cc hold at checkin.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at the JW Marriott Turnberry this past weekend. The hotel claims to offer luxury accommodations, but my stay was far from luxurious, especially considering the high price. Firstly, the hotel is not handicap-friendly at all. My father, who is in a wheelchair, faced numerous challenges, starting with the lack of automatic doors at the entrance. This made it incredibly difficult for us to enter and exit the hotel. Another major issue was with the hotel's strict and unreasonable policies. They initially refused to allow me to bring in distilled water for my 4-month-old baby's formula, which is essential. I also had trouble bringing in my son's float, which we needed for the pool. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was met with unprofessionalism; the manager could not communicate effectively in English, which only added to the frustration. To top it off, despite checking in via the Bonvoy app and indicating our arrival time as 9 AM, our room was not ready. This was particularly challenging for us as my father needed a place to rest and store his belongings due to his condition. Overall, this was by far the worst hotel experience I've ever had. The JW Marriott Turnberry fails to meet basic standards of accessibility and service, let alone the expectations of a luxury hotel. I strongly advise others to stay away from this hotel. Never again will I consider staying here.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the JW Marriott, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The hotel's ambiance is luxurious and inviting, making it the perfect getaway. One of the highlights of my stay was the incredible service at the bar. Luis and Evan, the bartenders, were truly outstanding. Their friendly demeanor and expert mixology skills made every evening at the bar a delight. They went above and beyond to ensure that each drink was crafted to perfection and that we felt welcome and well taken care of. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. The amenities, including the pool and fitness center, were top-notch and added to the overall enjoyment of our stay. I can't recommend the JW Marriott enough for anyone looking for a top-tier hotel experience. The exceptional service from staff members like Luis and Evan truly sets this hotel apart. Five stars all the way!

During my stay at the JW Marriott Turnberry Resort, the poolside bar experience was truly exceptional, thanks to the phenomenal bartenders, Evan and Luis. Evan is the epitome of professionalism and charisma. His cocktail-making skills are impressive, blending each drink to perfection with a flair that adds a touch of magic to every order. Whether it's a classic mojito or a signature creation, Evan's drinks are always spot on. His friendly demeanor and attentiveness make you feel welcomed and well taken care of, ensuring your time at the pool is nothing short of delightful. Luis, on the other hand, brings a vibrant energy to the bar. His knowledge of mixology is vast, and he isn't afraid to get creative with ingredients. Luis has an uncanny ability to recommend the perfect drink based on your preferences, often introducing you to new flavors that quickly become favorites. His engaging personality and genuine enthusiasm for his craft elevate the entire poolside bar experience. Together, Evan and Luis create an atmosphere that is both relaxing and fun. Their teamwork and dedication to guest satisfaction are evident in every interaction. Whether you're lounging by the pool or mingling at the bar, they ensure that your time at the JW Marriott Turnberry Resort is memorable and enjoyable. If you're visiting the resort, make sure to stop by the poolside bar and let Evan and Luis craft you a drink. You won't be disappointed!

Stayed here for the weekend and had a room with a balcony facing the golf course. It is a beautiful hotel with nice rooms. You can ballet your car / pay 45$ to park the car overnight. Theres a water park (Tidal Cove) next to the hotel that you can go to for free. Theres also a starbucks at the hotel entrance which was good. Did not eat at the hotel restaurant. Aventura Mall is a five minute walk from here which has many restaurants to pick from. Will stay again

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the JW Marriott Turnberry, and I can confidently say it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the stunning property and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The accommodations were nothing short of luxurious, with beautifully appointed rooms that offered breathtaking views and every amenity you could possibly need. The hotel's pools and spa facilities were also top-notch, providing the perfect environment for relaxation and rejuvenation. However, what truly made my stay unforgettable were the incredible bartenders, Luis and Evan, at the hotel's bar. Their expertise and passion for mixology shone through as they crafted some of the best cocktails I’ve ever tasted. Not only were they friendly and attentive, but they also took the time to recommend drinks based on my preferences, making the experience feel personalized and special. Luis's signature cocktail, a refreshing twist on a classic mojito, was a highlight of my evening. Evan, on the other hand, wowed me with his creative concoctions that perfectly balanced flavors I never thought would work together. It was evident that both bartenders genuinely care about their craft and take pride in providing outstanding service. Overall, my stay at JW Marriott Turnberry was a true delight. The combination of luxurious accommodations, stunning amenities, and the exceptional service from Luis and Evan made it an experience I won't soon forget. I can’t wait to return for another visit! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a top-tier getaway!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I wanted to share my experience for those who like detailed planning and those concerned about the mixed reviews. The customer service at this hotel is outstanding, with a genuine warmth that made our stay special. Upon arrival, Jimmy from guest services escorted us to the concierge to expedite our check-in. Kesiina at the concierge desk was a delight, and despite our early noon arrival, she promptly provided us with a room in the Orchid tower that had stunning views of the golf course and the city. The resort and its grounds are beautiful, and Bellman Dimitri was incredibly helpful, giving us a comprehensive tour and pointing out key amenities like the mall and grocery store across the street. He offered the front desk could provide a mini-fridge and microwave for our room, which was very convenient. After a quick walk to the grocery store for snacks and beverages, we returned via a $5 Uber to find the fridge and microwave already in place. The water park is a major highlight, though note that outside food and beverages aren’t allowed inside. Plan ahead or take breaks back in your room if needed. We enjoyed a tasty pizza for lunch at the park, and despite the park getting busy depending on the time of year, we had no issues with seating or towels. While navigating large floats to the slides can be a bit tricky, it's manageable. Given that water park access is included with the hotel stay, it’s a great value, though I wouldn’t pay the listed $200 admission fee separately. For dining if you want to eat onsite, consider eating at the hotel's restaurant for dinner and using the mini-fridge for breakfast to manage costs. This is a pricey resort as most upscale resort are- no surprise there. I’ve read some reviews mentioning worn rooms, but our Orchid room was lovely. If you’re not satisfied with your room - don’t hesitate to request a change to ensure you have a pleasant stay. I hope this review helps with your planning!

This was the worst checkin experience I have ever had. Only booked this location because of the water park and thought it would be fun for my 6 and 3 year old. We flew in from San Francisco and arrived at 1pm. I told the front desks my preferences regarding room location, and the person indicated he blocked a room and he would text me when it was ready. Despite having waited 3 hours, our room was not ready. I requested an upgrade due to the wait, and the ‘manager’ refused and only provided me with a room right next to the elevator, in the back of the resort to wait in, despite having told the front desk of my issues with loud noise. Traveling with children is already stressful, but adding a 3 hour wait for a room that did not meet our needs is completely unacceptable. I would definately not recommend staying at this resort.

Not a good value for the money. Long lines for everything. Overflowing trash cans. No seating available at the pool unless you feel like waiting in line for an hour or two before the water park opens. 25 dollars for a melted Pina colada. I don't mind paying for premium sometimes, but to pay for premium and get cheap quality is frustrating. The staff were all very friendly and tried to be helpful. I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the treatment my group and I received at Tidal Cove earlier today. I visited your facility with a group of four 10-year-old girls, eager to enjoy a day of fun and relaxation. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by an incident at the flow rider attraction. Upon arriving at the flow rider, we encountered a long line. In an attempt to make the wait more bearable, three of the girls went to purchase ice creams while I remained in line with one of the girls. This decision seemed to upset a lady in line, but I assured her that we would rejoin the line together once the girls returned. However, when all of us were back in line, the individuals operating the flow rider, James and Calden, abruptly and unfairly removed us from the line, without any explanation. To add insult to injury, the lady who had complained earlier began verbally attacking us, making threats and laughing at our distress. Shockingly, none of the staff members intervened to diffuse the situation or address her inappropriate behavior. As a result, our experience on the flow rider was not only ruined but also deeply distressing for myself and the young girls in my care. I am appalled by the lack of professionalism and customer service displayed by your staff, who chose to side with a hostile individual instead of ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests. I urge you to investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate action to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. Additionally, I kindly request a refund or compensation for the distress caused by this unacceptable treatment. I hope that you will take this complaint seriously and take steps to rectify the situation promptly. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I had a disappointing start to my stay when my room wasn’t ready until 4:08 PM, despite arriving earlier than other guests who received rooms on the same floor and with the same view before me. To add to the frustration, our bags, which were checked in at noon, weren’t delivered until 5:30 PM – well after guests who arrived later than us had their bags delivered. The explanation given was that delivery is based on a queue system, but it was disheartening to see others prioritized over us. Additionally, the service at the front desk was less than helpful, contributing to my frustration on the first day. Another persistent issue was the mobile key, which never seemed to work, forcing me to visit the front desk daily to resolve the matter. Furthermore, requests made through the Bonboy app for additional amenities were never fulfilled, adding another layer of inconvenience to my stay. While I understand that occasional hiccups can happen, the cumulative effect of these issues significantly impacted my experience. I hope this feedback can be used to improve service for future guests.

We were so excited to round out the last leg of our family Disney Cruise vacation at JW Turnberry. The water park, restaurants, and beautiful setting made this resort look like the perfect way to end a great vacation. However, since we woke up the morning of our check out day and since it has not been a great experience. We had a mid morning flight to catch, so we woke up early to get the 5 of us ready to depart. When we went into the bathroom in our room we noticed a slew of ants crawling all over the bathroom vanity and on the floor. This was our first upset. Then we woke our 6 year old up, who had slept on the pull out sofa, and she started to complain of itching. We took a look at her and realized something had bit her from head to toe through the night. We proceeded to get ready and headed to the front desk to check out and alert them of the bug infestation in our room. The front desk was less than helpful or apologetic. She asked if we had alerted the hotel. We said it’s 7:45am we just woke up, noticed the ants and bites, finished getting ready and came down here to tell you. We then 2 wrote an emails that has not been followed up on and also called and were left with no solution or even an APOLOGY. We loved the Marriot brand, but this has put such a bad taste in our mouths for it. We will not be loyal marriot guests moving forward. The lack of concern, apologies, and customer service is disappointing and frustrating.

Ridiculously cramped seating. Service not good. Salmon overcooked, despite repeating twice I didn’t want it dry. (Waiter appeared to have too many tables?) Waited over an hour for our meal. VERY noisy. Not what I’d consider “energetic.” First time we have had a bad experience at Bourbon - in 12 years and many meals!

The food and service were both excellent. A great wine list, too. If you’re looking to save money, this isn’t the place. But if you’re looking for a great dining experience, I highly recommend it.

The place was really hopping but Randy and Kayla were exceptional … best service that we’ve had this vacation! Would highly recommend this restaurant. The oysters were the best we’ve had south of NJ. The steaks and potatoes were divine!

The food and service were excellent EXCEPT my 14 ounce N.Y. strip was not quite medium rare as I ordered it, and it came with a Bordelaise sauce or glaze that was too sweet. My wife's seared scallops and grilled shrimp and the brown butter cake were outstanding.

First impression is everything. When I arrived, the ladies at the concierge check in counter were not very pleasant by barely speaking. Also, my son's steak was sent back 3 times after requesting medium well. Not the best overall experience.

Food and service excellent. I love that they give different flavor French fries and dips instead of bread as a free starter. Chopped salad—excellent. Ribeye and filet—excellent. Creamed spinach—best I’ve eaten. Key lime pie—excellent. Only negatives would be that the place kind of looks and smells like a dining room on a cruise ship. Seating was cramped. We were seated on a long bench 6 inches next to a very loud party.

Amazing food and sides. The drinks were also very good. We had old fashions and it was delicious. We had the rib cap and Delmonico steak and they were worth every penny. The sides were truffle Mac and cheese and the mushrooms which were to die for as my wife puts it. We finished up with a key lime pie that was awesome. It was all a bit expensive but you can really tell the ingredients were fresh and high end. It was a bit loud inside but that’s ok. Would definitely go again but on a very special occasion.

This was one of my favorite meals I have ever experienced. Great atmosphere, great food, great service. Best short rib I have ever had in my life. The rest of my party had steaks, which they loved, but they all wished they ordered my short rib meal because it was so amazing. Went on a double date here and celebrated a birthday. Dessert was delicious, especially the key lime pie.

This is the second time I have been here! Food was great service was ok a bit slow! But they put 6 people on a small table in the lounge after I made a reservation weeks ago for the restaurant part! We could hardly move and three times our drinks were spilt over two of us as table was full and just cramped! Paying over $1000 for the night I thought it’s unacceptable to seat 6 people like this!!!!

This dinner was supposed to be part of a Christmas present to my wife. We came in from Sarasota and stayed 3 nights at the Turnberry Resort. We were really looking forward to our dinner on Saturday night at 8:00. We brought dress clothes based on the scale of the restaurant. We arrived early for our reservation, and were sweated promptly. It's hard to give this restaurant a normal review as we ended up leaving after less than 5 minutes after being seated. We have been to restaurants around the world, and across our country, 5 star, 5 diamond, Michelin rated, etc., never have we been to such an upscale restaurant were the music was so loud that you couldn't hear yourself think, let alone have a conversation. My wife said she could feel the bass of the music vibrating through her chest. The music was some kind of techno latin noise turned up as loud as it could go. We should have been forewarned that this was going to be the loudest techno concert you have ever been to before we arrived so we could have made other choices ahead of time. Nowhere on their website, or on any literature provided by the resort, or the restaurant does it say that this nonsense would be happening while trying to enjoy an upscale dinner. We ended up getting room service for our special night. We did go back on Monday night and it was civilized, so we decided to have some appetizers at the bar because we had a good experience the day before for brunch, no blaring music. I will say that the food we had was delicious, steak tartare, oysters rockefeller, wedge salad. We are just disappointed that we couldn't have had the full dinner experience on Saturday night. We don't understand who would find music at that level enjoyable while trying to savor a wonderful meal? We're in our mid fifties, and we do go to rock concerts, but we've never thought of boning a Dover Sole while jamming to AC/DC live. Staff was fantastic, 5 star wine list, beautiful restaurant.

Delicious food! We were staying at the JW Marriot and went for dinner here. It was about 8pm on a Friday night so the noise level was pretty high but understandable given the time. We loved that the “bread basket” is actually different French fries. We got filets cooked to perfection (medium). Mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese were our sides - delish! We started the meal with crab cakes that were great! I know there’s plenty of seafood and signature dishes to choose from but we weren’t feeling up for venturing off what we know we love although I’m sure the other items on the menu are fantastic. We had wine too but it was a tough decision bc their cocktail menu sounded amazing. We will for sure be back!
