This used to be the nest restaurant in the area, but has gone downhill in a big way. The prices have sky rocketed, portions have gotten smaller, service is incredibly slow, and the food was all overcooked.

The environment reads as fine dining, pays as fine dining, but something is amiss with this establishment. Maybe we’re just not local enough? Our group watched as multiple tables were seated after our own and were continually served ahead of us. It took us 3+ hours to complete our experience without dessert, almost 2 hours spent waiting for entrées. We had to ask a staff member to remove salad charges which should have been part of the entrées. We were relatively excited to try this on holiday but were pretty disappointed. The dishes sounded exciting and some of them were pretty good but not worth being overlooked consistently.

We haven't been here for years and it was as wonderful as we remembered it! The ambiance is authentic; you know you're in VT. The service was excellent and the food was delicious and offered a variety of options. I would recommend this to everyone!

Decided to change things up from my usual spots and come here for a special occasion. It’s a beautiful, cozy and romantic restaurant with friendly wait staff. However, we were disappointed with our meals. The appetizers were good, warm cheddar and bruschetta. The steaks could have been a lot better especially for the price. The filet was mushy with almost a sand like texture - never experienced that before. The steak au poive was fine. The desserts were delicious but I won’t be coming back. Their other restaurants are way better!

This place has so much history and they don’t even mention it! It’s crazy… I would have loved if they mentioned anything at all. The food was okay, nothing to rave about. It was a romatic setting, the sweet potato mash was really amazing. The stuffed chicken was so bland, it came with a horseradish mustard. If it didn’t I would not have enjoyed it. My husband said his steak didn’t have much flavor. We got this baked apple with Vermont cheese, don’t get it! It was not good and random. They don’t complement one another at all. I was given raved reviews about this place from several people. So it’s possible they didn’t have their main chef in that night. Not sure if I would come back

We had a poor experience last weekend. The atmosphere was lovely but the food was not good at all.The pate appetizer tasted and looked like it came out of a package. The salmon appetizer was bland. The three entrees were poor. The duck was bland and poorly prepared. The lamb shank was ok but underwhelming. The strip steak was bland. An expensive meal that must have been an office night for the kitchen.

Food was excellent. The wait staff was attentive. An excellent over all dining experience.

Had a wonderful meal at Two Tannery. The escargot was delicious! Perfectly smothered in garlic and butter! The swordfish special was excellent with a lime chili sauce. Our server, Trina, was friendly and attentive. We will be back!

We came up to ski at Mount snow, and had dinner here one night. This is the definition of a “nice” restaurant. Great vibe, great food (french) and amazing service. The restaurant seemed to be a historic house and it was very cozy

Spent an overnight in West Dover after finding this restaurant on line. Loved the menu so had dinner there. Good choice. Highly recommend making a reservation early. Luckily we were there on a Thursday as they are only open Thursday thru Sunday in September. Had the Mushroom soup app, a salad, my buddy chose the Bouillabaisse main and I had a sword fish special. All delicious. Enjoyed it with a great Cali Zin from their extensive wine list and it was all made special by the exceptional Trina, our delightful server.

We visited Two Tannery years ago, probably before I began writing on Tripadvisor. A recent visit to Vermont with family gave us an opportunity to return. This is a terrific restaurant with excellent food and a wonderful, eighteenth century atmosphere. It would be worth a visit even if the food wasn't first rate: the building is rich with history and the decor drips with tradition and authenticity. But the food is first rate. The Smoked Salmon appetizer was delicious in a surprising citrus vinaigrette, and the Scallops wrapped in Prosciutto were equally well received. The salads that followed were also above average. I had enjoyed the Roasted Long Island Duckling years ago and was eager to have it again, as the black cherry sauce is one of the best toppings I've had. Everyone in our party loved their entrees, including the Nutty Vermonter and the Bouillabaisse (which looked incredible). My only disappointment was that my duck wasn't as tender as some I've had, though my mother reported that hers was perfect. The service is friendly, professional, and first rate. Parking is no problem, but you'll surely want to make reservations, particularly during the busy ski season. Highly recommended.

Had a great meal last week with my parents. Been coming here for a long time. It's a go to place when you want an upscale meal in the Mount Snow area.

It was a while since we eat at Two Tannery but heard there was a new chef so we wanted to see whether it was still the top restaurant that we loved. It certainly was! Chef Brett and his team have taken an excellent restaurant and made it the top premier restaurant in the region. Best mussels we ever had. A new simple salad that was so refreshing. The Nutty Vermonter was as good as ever, but the scallops were to die for…a subtle sauce combined with perfectly cooked scallops made for a flavor delight. We finished with a delicious strudel and my favorite coffee toffee ice cream. This was truly a foodies dream!

Since Bret started as chef the food has been wonderful. Craig is still the Best Bartender in the valley and Vera is the most accommodating hostess !

Service and speed were impeccable. Loved Carly. Duck was way overcooked. Not their fault but I would have loved them kicking out the table of 4 guys with one of them drunk, loud and cursing. Really ruined the meal and evening.

If you ever tasted decent good, avoid at all costs. Also, prices are a bad joke… on you. Please, avoid their cocktails as well. Service was clueless and seemed so confused when asked simple questions.

This time wasn't as good as our last dinner here. A lamb order was not served medium rare, it was well done. The schnitzel was not so good. The escargot tasted gamey and everything needed salt.

The ambiance was great, the food is a hit or miss. Mussels are solid but the steak I got had literally no seasoning. Did not seem to be the highest quality cut either. Also I ordered medium rare but it was cooked through fully. The coffee toffee pie for dessert was out of this world though!

We made reservation for dinner one night during our snowboard trip at Mt Snow. A really nice and beautiful restaurant not far from the mountain. Friendly staffs and exceptional service. The appetizer Escargots and Baked Vermont Cheddar were not bad. I also tried the Special Mushroom Truffle Cream Soup which I like a lot. For main course I had the Roasted Long Island Duckling, nice crispy skin but meat was a bit dry. My hubby ordered the New York Sirloin which was okay. We enjoy the venue a lot but overall mediocre food from our dinner experience.

Make a reservation early, very popular dining destination. This restaurant continues to live up to its good reputation. Filet mignon, duck breast, and the cod special were all great this past week. Craig mixes great cocktails and the entire staff is professional and friendly.

Two Tannery is arguably the BEST restaurant in the Deerfield Valley area. Elegant, classic, with AMAZING food and Wine, this is where we used to celebrate family birthday dinners. ❤️👍😋

The atmosphere at Two Tannery Road is warm and inviting. The hostess and wait staff is kind, personable and helpful. The food, however, did not meet expectations. We had the New York sirloin and the stuffed shrimp. We were expecting the food quality to match the fine dining atmosphere and prices, but it was very mediocre.

Everyone loved their entree choices. Casual dinning with a flair of class. Desserts were also yummy. Bar was packed by the time we finished dinner and headed out.

It was wonderful. The food, drinks and dessert so delicious. Great attention too and beautiful atmosphere. We’ll be back!

Ordered the boulibaise and it was very good. My husband had the stuffed shrimp. He's very particular about his stuffed shrimp and he was very happy with it. Two thumbs 👍 👍 up!!

I can't recommend this place enough for the perfect sitdown meal - the folks there are so kind, and the food is phenomenal. The portions are generous, and the menu's very consistently good. The decor is welcoming but refined. Plus there's some fascinating history to the place!

This is what fine dinning in Vermont is about. Great ambiance, great food, friendly service from top to bottom. Menu is varied and interesting. Food is fresh and tasty. It is as if this spot has set the high bar for dining in this area. Parking on site. Management should be proud.

I never give bad reviews however in this case I have to. My wife has dietary restrictions due to health and so we often go to nice restaurants because they are more accommodating. This restaurant was unable to accommodate basic changes to the menu and so she couldn’t eat most of her dinner as they brought out the wrong things. I wouldn’t recommend it as they are overpriced for what you get and aren’t understanding of dietary needs.

Very nice. We were traveling on motorcycle and picked it on a whim because it was walking distance from our Inn and rain was coming. It was also our anniversary and we had zero idea what type of place it was and had no expectations. It could not have been a better anniversary dinner! The delicious food, atmosphere and friendly staff made it one of the most memorable occasions. Soooo happy we lucked into Two Tannery Road!

What an amazing place. I have eaten here hundreds of times in my life and have never been disappointed. Always amazing. Escargot is top and the seafood is always outstanding. Try one of the fish specials as we always do and they are so good. My favourite restaurant? Yes, this is easy to say.

Really outstanding experience; the decor is beautiful and welcoming and the food,wine and service absolutely excellent. The restaurant is large enough to accomodate many people but has a number of small dining rooms which makes for a more personal and intimate atmosphere. Our hostess,Vera took the time to greet us and to ask us if everything was OK

Attentive service by Trina. Outstanding. Great personality. The food was absolutely fantastic. The corn chowder was very good. The flounder was out of this world. And the schnitzel was terrific. No room for dessert. Our favorite in the area.

Don't let the 4$$$ review sway you. This restaurant has an exciting menu of beautifully prepared dishes, at not "special celebration" prices. The setting is warm and comfortable (not stuffy!), the craft cocktails are a work of genius, and the staff is so warm and friendly. Once you settle in, dally with the enticing menu options, and take a sip of something from the amazing cocktail or wine list, do make certain take in the beauty of the outside surroundings and treat yourself to this all around wonderful experience.

The Outstanding Host, Becky, makes you feel like a celebrity. The food is unique, service is perfectly timed and the Early American atmosphere is perfect. Two Tannery is at the top of my list in the Deerfield Valley.

We decided to venture out to a restaurant for the first time since COVID. Two Tannery is always a favorite so we choose it for this adventure. It was wonderful. We felt completely safe. Everyone wore face masks and the social distancing was very well done. As always, the food was great. My Nutty Vermonter (chicken cheddarbleu) was perfection but nothing beats the coffee toffee desert. Out of this world. Staff were wonderful and it was the perfect place to eat in this new world we live in!

The food is good but even our waiter had to be reminded to wear a mask properly.

We have been doing to Two Tannery for 25 years. The ambiance is great, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is always very good. It can be expensive especially if you drink and have all of the courses. We find that because the meal includes a house salad, we skip the appetizers and save room for dessert. Go have a good meal!
