We went for our nieces birthday dinner. Upon walking in it was nicely decorated with a rustic feel. The menu had several items to choose from. I got the chicken gumbo, white rice, green beans, tomato salad and garlic bread. The gumbo was schmeh....literally some shredded chicken in a thin gravy like sauce. Not the gumbo I'm used to which is almost stew like with peppers and onions. The tomato salad was good. Green beans seemed like they came from a can with some bacon added. On the other hand, the service was really good. We were waited on and taken very good care of.

The only time I don't clean my plate here is if my body refuses to cooperate. The food is amazing, the service is top notch, and the staff will let you taste test the food so you can make sure you'll like it before you get it.

Went here a few years ago off a recommendation that the person would drive 200 miles out of the way to go back. Um, yes! Best food in Prattville and probably central AL. It's a bit pricey, but you can get a sample of anything before you choose. Anything shrimp for me! Will continue going here as long as I live in the area.

Awesome dining experience after church on Sunday. The food was great, and the service staff were excellent. We were visited by what I assume was an owner who checked on us and gave us great information on the upcoming events and the area. We highly recommend it.

Was with my husband and my 8lb service animal who had her vest and picture ID on. Was told after we sat down and had nearly completed our food that my service animal couldn’t be in the restaurant. She was under the table during our meal. This employee was clearly violating ADA and proceeded to argue with me about my disability. She refused to read the ADA restaurant regulations when I pulled them up on my phone to show her. I think her family owns the restaurant as she told someone the cornbread was her grandmother’s recipe. She NEEDS to be educated on ADA and service animals and their purpose. What started as a great dinner was totally ruined by her! I am a veteran who has battled cancer for the last year and my service animal was professionally trained to alert for my medical issue which this employee proceeded to tell me was not covered by ADA!!! I’m pretty sure I know the disability I have lived with since 1995 is covered by ADA . Was waiting for her to tell me I didn’t deserve the handicap license plate on my car either! I will never set foot back in this restaurant and will certainly discourage others from doing so as well.

First time eating there was yesterday. OMG!!! Food was wonderful. My bestie took me there for lunch. I can't wait for my husband and I to eat there together. If you want really delicious Cajun food, this is the place to go.

One of my favorite meals in the state! If I’m in the area, I’m going here. My favorite is the shrimp a la crème on top of the dirty rice - delicious! Tried the potato salad for the first time and it’s also good. This place is consistently good and the staff is so friendly! If you’ve never been just let them know and you can sample anything before making your selection. Also, the owner came by and checked on us. I love that - I didn’t catch his name but can only assume he’s ’Uncle Mick.’ He runs a fine business. Go support them if you’re local. Don’t skip the pie!!!

One of our favorites in Prattville for many years. We go out of our way to eat here at least once a year now that we have moved away from the area. The crab meat augratin, the shrimp a la creme, Cajun potato salad, green beans, red beans and rice are a few of our top favorites. Excellent food. Support this local place. You won't regret it.

We were visiting the sunflower field in the area, and Uncle Mick’s was recommended as the best local restaurant. We arrived just before they closed for lunch, but we were never rushed. Staff was personable and patient while we decided what we wanted. They offered to let us sample any options. It’s a cafeteria line, not table service (at least at lunch), so we were a little leery coming in at 2:00, but everything was hot and tasty. While it was all very good, the cornbread was one of the highlights. Following the spicy entree with a piece of buttermilk pie was a perfect ending.

Ok so I travel a good bit and have tried food from all over the state of Alabama. I will say this, if you want great tasting Cajun food with a good variety of options for all tastes then THIS IS THE PLACE. Not sure on an item and if you want a whole serving, ask for a sample. Super happy I found this place and if I am back in the area will absolutely revisit them.

Stopped in because I saw a recommendation on a Reddit page and it was fantastic. I don’t really know Cajun food that well and the staff was very kind. They were knowledgeable. They let me try a couple different things to pick out what I liked and the food was fantastic. I didn’t know I like things with cream, but I love the shrimp al’ cream And I don’t have pictures because I was eating on the road but would definitely go again very nice place

I was in Prattville, AL for a conference. A friend and I decided to have lunch at Uncle Mick’s Cajun Market & Cafe before heading home and WOW was I glad we selected this place! The food was fabulous and what’s great is that they give small samples of the entrees so you can choose which ones you really like. She and I both really enjoyed the entrees and sides we chose. I brought home their bread pudding for my hubby and he said it was really good too. The staff was extremely friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant was comfortable and eclectic. If it’s meal time as we are headed south on I65 we will detour to dine there again.

Enjoyed a wonderful meal at Uncle Mick's once again. Allways offered sample portions of different entrees to see what my palate prefers. Very generous portions of authentic Cajun food with great service!

We are traveling nomads in an RV from WI. Wingbabesonwheels.com The past week we’ve been staying at Gunter Hill campground in Montgomery. We rode to Pratteville on our motorcycle, did some shopping and asked some locals where to go to eat. They mentioned Uncle Mick’s, so we went there. This eclectic Cajun place is the real thing! The owner pleasantly greeted us and had us taste some entrees before ordering! The food was amazing! We will definitely stop in again when we travel thru the area! We ate alligator and sausage piquante and shrimp with cream sauce! Yum!

This place is awesome! Just out riding around and seen it and decided to stop. Whenever I go back to Prattville this will be my spot for food!

Hands down best restaurant in Prattville. Nothing comes close to this unique local gem. Uncle Micks is traditional Cajun fare done right! Mick is from Louisiana and it shows in the kitchen. Plates are $10-$20 depending on what you get and you cannot leave hungry. He won't let you! If I could give it 6 stars I would.

What's not to love about this cool restaurant. My husband and I love everything about this place. The food is phenomenal, fresh, and hot. The atmosphere is just the best and very clean. So many details in the restaurant that you can admire while you eat and listen to chill music. It's a place you'll love to dine in every time.

Hasn't been in a while, so we went today. Maybe it was a fluke of a day, but we won't be back in a while. Our garlic bread was cold and soggy and party of my tilapia was hard and dried out. I've ordered these two things every time I've been there and this is a first. When I told the staffer, I felt like she could have offered to replace my garlic bread at least (since it was uneaten), but since my husband saw a bunch of plates with uneaten bread it may have been a bad precedent.

They let you sample everything to ensure you like it. Spoiler alert: it's ALL good. I had the gator gumbo and crawfish etouffe. It was delicious!

This was our first time eating here, and it won't be the last. They gave us samples of everything we wanted to try. There's no wrong choice. My favorite was the shrimp creole and dirty rice. The staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was great.

I have to say this is one of the best Cajun style restaurants outside of the Creole House in New Orleans. Very authentic as the atmosphere and employees were great. If your visiting or local, this is a must go to outing. You wont be disappointed. I had the sausage red bean and dirty rice, green beans with cornbread with tomato salad feta cheese. They will let you sample before you order.

The atmosphere was pleasant, clean, and well lit. We ordered at a serving window. The servers were friendly and helpful. The 4 of us enjoyed our meal but all commented on the smaller than expected portion size. It was my first "cajun" experience. All the dishes were tasty but the andouille flavor was even in unexpected places. I would have liked it more if all the dishes didn't have the same heat of flavor. There was no contrast. It may have been my choices. I'm somewhat limited by being gluten free. Uncle Mick's has an adequate gluten free menu. I did enjoy my meal.
