Best coffee beverages in Southern Vermont! And excellent roasted and ground coffees!

I make it a point to go to local coffee shops wherever I travel. I found Ungrounded not far from us and we stopped by this morning during an absolute downpour. We used the walk up window and they had an umbrella and a heater unit, which made it so pleasant and welcoming to customers. Service was fast and friendly and coffee was absolutely fantastic. I would definitely recommend the maple latte - it was delicious!

On my recent visit, I indulged in a latte and was delighted by its richness and depth of flavor. My companions chose a maple latte and an Americano. The maple latte was a sweet, comforting treat, perfectly balanced and not too sugary. The Americano, on the other hand, was robust and invigorating, showcasing the quality of their beans. Each sip was a testament to their expertise in brewing. If you're serious about your coffee, this is the place to be. Great taste, great experience!

This place is top notch. They roast excellent beans, and the americano is my favorite coffee in the state. If you’re in the area, you owe it to yourself to stop in.

A little slow on making our coffees but loved the take out window

Picture this. We're driving along route 100, desperate for a quality coffee shop in the late afternoon (we dont usually drink caffeine in the afternoon, but having had only a weak cup of coffee earlier that day, the headaches started to kick in). Like a light at the end of the tunnel, we saw the sign for Ungrounded Coffee, pulled a U-ie, only to discover that they closed just prior to our arrival. A man (the owner?) was closing up on the deck and (probably sensing our desperation) kindly offered to reopen the shop to save us from our caffeine withdrawal! The latte we got was so good and the whole experience just warmed our hearts. We love VT and this place really is "The best little coffee bar you didn't expect to find in the middle of nowhere."

By far the best coffee in the area! My suggestion, try the maple latte, hot or cold.

As a home coffee roaster and self-taught Coffee Sommelier, I want to share that there is nothing not to love about this Coffee Hut. The Owner/Barista/Roaster hails from a country that has loved excellent coffee longer than America. Australia gifted us with the flat white no matter what St*arbucks has led you to believe. The coffee, espresso, and coffee-based drinks are made to the highest standards and would be in the running for a prize at any Barista competition. I am a double Espresso and coffee person, but I had heard so much about the maple latte that I had to try it to see what the roar was about. I am trying to remember having a better prepared espresso drink that I didn't make myself. WOW! Perfection in a cup!! I am going to duplicate it at home. Did he use maple syrup, maple sugar crystals, or a combo? I wish I knew! enJOy!

I like this place but again, no pour over will prevent me from giving 5 stars. I don't think any progressive/modern roaster can be top notch without a pour over. Espresso was good, pretty good. Not amazing. Everyone else liked their stuff, there were 4 of us in total. The guy running it is super friendly.

This is a cute coffee spot in town. I loved the fresh ground beans I got from here and am still enjoying the espresso blend. The guy working here is passionate about his job and the service you receive reflects that passion. We were able to have a nice conversation while he took care of my order. I would 100% recommend this shop for its ease of access, excellent customer service, and wonderful coffee.

Just stopped here randomly on our road trip, we couldn't be more happy! One of the best coffee we had during our stay. Defnitely the best in the area. My wife had a Flat White and I had a Long Black. They were both exactly how they were supposed to be. The Barista making your coffee defnitely knows his stuff. We had a very chill convo with the man behind the counter and we'll definitely stop by on our next way down. Your coffee is the bomb! <3

Live in NJ, spent the weekend in VT, randomly stopped by for a coffee on the way home, the latte was amazing, bought 3bags of coffee beans and the Ethiopia Natural Sidamo is so good and I recommend to every coffee lover, will definitely order online in the future.

This is a local gem, I highly recommend stopping for a coffee (or maple latte) and bag of beans if you're even somewhat close by! The owner is really kind, they offer different non-dairy milk options, and they sell super cute mugs... but most importantly, the coffee is consistently delicious :)

Wow just wow. Been to many coffee roasters in New England and Ungrounded has the freshest beans. Their flavor is so unique and you can taste every note that the beans boast about. Will be ordering online and will be back in person whenever in Vermont. I purchased the Honduras whole bean and an Ethiopian decaf - both have been fabulous !

My girlfriend and I stayed a weekend in the area, and had 3! amazing maple lattes and a flat white here made by Kevin, a well-traveled and down-to-earth guy who loves coffee and is happy to recommend interesting beans to brew at home. Support this business, enjoy some good coffee, I guarantee you'll come back for more.

The maple latte is fantastic. Would highly recommend it. The chai latte is fine and good for the area but objectively a bit underwhelming as it's not as spicy as it should be.

Coffee shop where you can order drinks and also purchase bags of coffee. Bought a bag of their whole beans, Mexico roast. It is so delicious, I hope this small business continues to do well! The owner was the one we spoke to and bought from. He was so friendly and knowledgeable, he answered all our questions. I will definitely be ordering a bag online from here. Stop by, it’s worth it!

We go to coffee shops quite frequently, and this one has been the best one we've found in about a thousand miles of driving. The staff was wonderful, the service was quick, and the drinks were spot on. The drinks were so good, we went right back again for another one for the road. Really can't say enough about how great of an experience this was. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job, we wish you all the best!

I was driving back to MA from a long weekend in the mountains and NEEDED COFFEE. I got a maple oat milk latte and it was perfection! The barista was so friendly, chill vibes all around. So happy I stopped!

The maple cappuccino is everything! Worth a special drive to this cute coffee shop, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. The order window opens to a dog friendly patio so you might see some very good bois and girls hanging out! Extra Pawsome! Christopher, the owner is super nice.

I've been in Jamaica for 3 weeks and have visited this place every day. It's kept me and my husband sane and has been a little daily treat. Service is always friendly, coffee is always delicious. Website is charmingly quirky but super easy to reorder quickly once you've registered and means you don't have to wait in line. Total gem of a place in rural Vermont. This is the kind of place that would make me move to the country. 5/5.

Fantastic Coffee. Great place to stop for any espresso beverage. Make a true flat white that is incredible. I purchase my coffee almost monthly from here for my home espresso machine and have it shipped to New Jersey. Their espresso blend is my favorite. I'm sure there is great coffee here but make sure you check your clocks before you go. They are only open 4 hours a day. Hopefully next time we can actually get a coffee.

I was going mental before finding this place!! An absolute gem in southern VT. Quality coffee, quality staff, and a wonderful selection of house roasted beans. Drinks are made with care and come with friendly conversation. Dope music, too.

Great small place with a friendly staff

I was in Vermont for the North American Obstacle Course Championship and searched out coffee and ended up here. It is the best coffee I have had. I went both days I was there, took a bag of beans home, and am now ordering the coffee to have at home. Friendly service in the best environment.

Strong coffee and great atmosphere

Literally have too many good things to say about Ungrounded!!! Passed through here early on a Sunday morning and it was the perfect way to kick off a long day of traveling. Coffee was incredible, friend ordered the maple latte and said it was a must try. I had a chai tea latte that was made from actual tea and not just steamed milk with the tazo premade overly sweet chai concentrate you find at most places. Turns out they sell this INCREDIBLE chai which I purchased and it has changed my life for the better. My one problem with Ungrounded is.... that I don't live closer !!

The locals must be happy to live close to Ungrounded coffee roasters. We sent Ungrounded espresso beans to Frankfurt / Germany where there are a few world class espresso places. Tested by an expert, the Ungrounded espresso beans came equal to the best espressos in Frankfurt.
