Good prices, nice ambiance, small selection of food and drinks. Did not have coconut milk.

First visit yesterday. The shop smells delicious and feels homey and welcoming. Received an immediate hello and offer of assistance. Purchased a lb of Summer Eclipse ground for the French Press! Who knew? It's my new favorite. Absolutely delicious! My iced coffee to go was also perfect. Definitely going back! PS The shop is hiring!!

I am now ruined for coffee. The last few times I have gone in the blends are so good! I have tried to go back to a regular Fingerlakes Coffee and it is just not the same. Your coffee is so good black.

The employees were nice and the one helping me directly was both helpful & knowledgeable. I am excited to try their lightest roast, being the Guatemalan. Though, I will say the latte I got was underwhelming as it lacked body.

In my humble opinion, the best French Roast Colombian in the world! I bring home the whole beans, and jam many grounds that will fit in the filter basket. Since I live an hour away, if I run out of their coffee, I am not happy.

They have many great flavors. Rich coffee beans and other items. Coffee syrup is good too.

This shop has some of the best freshly roasted coffee I have ever tasted, hands down. I've tried almost all of their unflavored beans and I am pleased every time. I especially like their Guatemalan batch. They also give you a free cup of coffee when you buy a pound or more and the staff is always very friendly. I love this business. Thank you!

Came here to try their coffee. I love the on-site roastery, but the actual cafe side was a little underwhelming. Pour over made with a medium roast coffee was real bitter and tasted burnt. Checking out a lot of their beans for sale, they look a bit darker than most other places - even their light roasts looked darker than a medium to me. So maybe that's just how they operate - which is okay, but I'll definitely have to keep that in mind for next time & try something lighter. Didn't hate it, didn't love it - but I would stop by and give it another try!

This is the best coffee place you could ever find. We got some for Christmas and loved it. The snickerdoodle decaf was amazing and bananas foster is our new favorite. They roast it on site in small batches. The people that run the store are so kind and friendly and the coffee on hand when you go in to get your ground bags gives you a chance to try different flavors. I typically put creamer and sweeteners in my coffee (a lot). This coffee is roasted so well I can drink it black. If you like coffee and haven't been here you have to go!!! ❤️

Excellent cafe! The shop has a great feel and smells amazing! It took me a while to actually go in because I'm not a huge coffee drinker but their coffee is very good and their lemonade drinks are great for beating the summer heat! Laurie and Nick are more like hosts than baristas but do a great job as both! Definitely will return whenever I'm in the area!

Do you have an espresso machine? This is the last place you will ever need to find coffee. Do you brew coffee in any other way and live within a 20-minute Drive? You need this place. They only sell the freshest coffee. Every cup is insanely good. The staff are so friendly and it has the most amazing local shop feel. They also have some very affordable Burr Grinders available right in the shop. Highly recommend.

We love doing business with Union Place! Their coffee is roasted in-house in small batches, is high quality and absolutely delicious! We buy from them each week for our cafe. Laurie, Nick, Jasmine and Joe are doing an amazing job and are some of the nicest people we’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Their space is classy, yet cozy and features retail coffee and upscale coffee merchandise and accessories. You can sit and enjoy their amazing coffee at their tables or comfy chairs and even watch the roasting process while you’re there. If you’re in the Genesee Market area do yourself a favor and pop in.

My favorite coffee roaster in town! The people are SO nice here, from the front end staff to the roaster to the owner. I buy my supplies here, too - French press, grinder, etc. They really know their beans and ALL about coffee, and willing to share the knowledge. Fun specials, too!

By far the best chocolate espresso beans I've ever had! Usually, chocolate espresso beans you can buy in the store have grinded beans in it but this one has a full bold crunchy bean which is really good! We even had to buy another one before going back to the road. Thank you too for the very kind Lori who attended to us.

I've never actually been to the location yet. I live a couple hours away but i was online searching for local coffee roasters and i found Union Place online and I had to try them! So I picked out a bag just to give them a try. I ordered a bag of Jamaican Me Crazy and within a few days of placing my order there was a package delivered on my steps. Now I wasn't expecting my coffee to come so quickly so I was pleasantly surprised. The box was bigger than i was anticipating since I only ordered one bag of coffee. I opened the box to find a hand written note inside thanking me for my order and to say they gave me a free bag of coffee. They included a second pound of coffee for free! I've gotten samples from other places before but never a full bag and the shipping speed was amazing. I'm brewing a pot of coffee right now so I can't comment on the taste yet but it sure smells amazing! Thank you! I already know I'll be ordering more and hopefully in the future I'll be able to visit your location in Rochester.

This place is great! Owners and staff are always friendly and attentive. Their coffee is delicious and the only kind we use in our house. We have tried many of their different beans, including flavored, and truly love the Breakfast Blend and the Brazilian Full City Roast. This is a difficult time for everyone, please consider buying local when you need coffee (don't buy it from the big chain stores), support the small businesses if you can and visit Union Place Coffee Roasters!

My son and I have shopped at the store numerous times. We were always greeted with a smile and an offer of coffee. We are always satisfied and will continue to to shop there as well as passing the joys in the store to our friends. I placed an order on line due to the corona restrictions. It arrived in a timely fashion and with a hand written note explaining why one of the coffees I ordered was not received, it was out of stock. Instead 2 additional coffees where sent in it's place. How consumer friendly is that. The only thing is I ordered whole bean and got ground. However, that will not stop me from shopping there in the future. Good coffee is hard to find and this establishment is a hidden gem.

My absolute favorite place to get coffee! LOVE the seasonal flavors. Send all the flavored coffees to my family in Michigan and Texas and they agree it is the best 😁 Laurie is wonderful too!

This place is the real deal. A roastery. In come green coffee beans from all over the world, and out comes coffee: blended, roasted, packaged (possibly ground), and maybe even brewed.

Tried the coffee of the day (French roast) for free. It was delicious. We ended up buying the Ethiopian medium roast beans to grind and make pour over coffee at home. Will definitely be returning for more beans.

They offer great coffee beans for purchase and a free cup of today's brew. They have a nice variety and great expertise. They roast the coffee fresh right in the store and also can sell you green beans to roast at home. Not an easy place to find but once you do, you'll be back.

I have owned a coffee house and have been drinking espresso starting in the 80's. Let's say I know good coffee lol. Now this is GOOD coffee, and the service, AMAZING! I spent about 30 min in a shop about the size of a large living room. Why? Because the variety and selection was out of this world, the staff was friendly, helpful, educating and truly cared about you. I was amazed to see the roster right in the shop out in the open and up & running. I watched as a new customer came in and was greeted, asked about needs, educated on choices, offered samples & helped to make selections. It was done so well I just had to watch. My wife was asking about a variety and was offered a cup to sample. The owner made up a lot just so we could try it out! I also watched coffee go from the roster right in to the bins for sale. You can not get fresher than that! I only wish I lived in Rockester now but was happy to see they will ship also :-)
