We really like this place. It’s a staple for us when we are in town.

I received a Euro from these guys it was a bad girl seemed like it was made out of jerky meat I've been getting food from there for 27 years only the second time I've had a problem manager took care of it and gave me a girl for free along with some rice tried to pay him for at least the rice he refused what great service an honorable company and I will always continue to go there what a great business to stand behind their food like that in 27 years you're going to come up with a few problems due to employees or maybe somebody is just not performing well that day being a business owner I completely understand that what great people I would recommend them to everybody end anybody my name is blue help they see my post what good people have a nice day if you want some good Greek food go to University grill every time you'll be happy and if not they will make sure it's right

If you come after 2pm (i was there at 210), you will pay more for lunch. I take late lunches so i will not be going back for lunch as it costs more after 2pm. Food was great.

**UPDATE** I visited again today June 6, 2024. The food was amazing, service was wonderful and the prior visits. Still would 10/10 recommend I have driven past this place for 12 years, and never once stopped it until today. I gotta say, my normal Greek spots have lessened their quality and quantity these last few years, today I was looking for a restaurant that was opened, without looking at the reviews I decided to stop by. The food was GREAT, I mean the best gyro and combination plate I have had in a very long time. The pricing is I would say average, but well worth the money for the portions and quality of the food. Needless to say, I will be back. The service was also great, the staff was very nice and attentive to tables they were waiting. Keep up the good work!!!

First time eater here. When asked which item the server would prefer, she said "All of them". She was not wrong. I sampled the items the others were eating and everything was excellent. ONE problem: The portions are small in relation to the prices. Loved the food but was still hungry when we left. The Greek salad dressing was impeccable. Lemon pepper chicken soup was excellent. Gyros were as good as they get, but small. A pro football player wrote that the lemon pepper chicken nuggets were world class. Correct. We will return, however will order plenty; maybe two of each to fill up.

It's a College-Based restaurant. You have to understand that in the first place. The food is alright. The gyros we had were well seasoned, but the mozzarella sticks and fries were your typical "bar food". I do recommend trying more or the Mediterranean/Greek specialty foods on the menu, as those have a great amount of flavor, along with the rice and sauce. Overall, might come again, might not. I do recommend this place for college students looking for a quick bite near the campus.

Don't bother. The gyro plate was just a skimpy gyro sandwich with the dried out ends, no strips of meat, no feta or olives anywhere, one wedge of tomato and tzatziki sauce that was thick like cream cheese with a few onions, no lettuce. Nothing happy or delicious about this. Pathetic and dismal. In the to go box was a full pound of bland rice and some strangely seasoned boiled potatoes as if you needed more carbs. I called but was met with blank silence. Don't go to restaurants in Ogden. Consistently disappointing.

Waited 25 mins for a take out order, they gave it to the wrong person. They called the other lady who had my order… she drove back and they gave me the my order. That had been with another person in their car for at least 10 mins. Seems like a situation where they should have remade the order. Felt unsanitary .

Great food here! I really liked the gyros. Decent amount of meat and good seasoning. The rice was decent and the lamb was tasty. We also had the chicken kabob and it was done well and had great flavor.

Super chill atmosphere, the food sat very well and was more of a simple meal although very filling. Great service and cute plants around the dining area. They offered dine-in and take out.

Ive eaten here off and on for just about 30 years. Same owners, food is still awesome, and the staff is great. The only thing that's really changed over the years are prices and portions... both of which have happened everywhere... would highly recommend.

You bet your dolmades this good food. Souvlaki, gyros, pita bread, lemon rice, dolmades, spanikopita, tzatziki sauce and all your Greek favorites. They have a large menu so you will need to come back a lot try everything! Kids love the rice and greek potatoes. Their fries with lemon salt is also a kid favorite.

it was not good the kabob was burnt the rice was too sticky the potatoes were blan and mush the sauce is not good so if u want souvlaki go anywhere else

Fun place to sit down and eat with family. Yellow rice was kind of mushy and didn't have much flavor. The gyro and kabobs were pretty good :)

This place has some of the best Greek Food in northern Utah. They are always busy, but well worth the short wait. The flavor profiles are out of this world. I could eat here everyday and be happy.

My wife and I always enjoy coming here. I love their gyro, rice, & potatoes combo. The meat on the gyro is thick and cut in chunky strips. The portion size is great. They have a really good tzatziki as well. They do have a few good beers to choose from if you enjoy a beer with your meal. I do! Lastly, I love their baklava. It’s so good. The servers are really friendly and the place is a nice environment. Lots of room and you don’t feel squished. Like I said, we really do enjoy coming here. Reasonably priced too!

A discount of 10% coupon appeared on my computer, so I copied it to my phone and went there. They claimed it was only for Harrison High Students. Show me? I don't see any restrictions at all. But since I have eaten there before I placed an order anyhow, but I will think twice about going again.

I used to have a five-star review for this restaurant but I changed it. One of my favorite things to get at the restaurant is soup, but after covid they significantly increased the cost and cut the size drastically. $10 for a bowl of soup that measures as less than a cup, I did measure it when I got home. The first time it happened, I thought it was a mistake, so I gave it another chance. The next time I ordered a bowl of soup, it was even smaller. Your greed has lost a formerly loyal customer.

Solid Greek food. The pita was very nice (although they give you quite a lot of hummus in comparison to actual bread), as well as the mozzarella sticks. Warm and satisfying. For the actual entrees, I had a shrimp kebab and chicken kebab. Both of them were good, and they were filling. Nothing to write home about really, but I had an enjoyable time there. Service was nice too, I liked our waiter! He was a great guy. My mom’s order was someone else’s though, but luckily enough, the only thing she didn’t order on it was the french fries. She got the original side she wanted in the end, so all was well. It was just due to some new staff confusing tables, so no harm done. Good experience overall. Mozzarella Sticks: 8/10. My first mozzarella sticks… eaten at a Greek restaurant. Well, they were good! Nice and hot, went great with the marinara sauce. Cheese pull wasn’t disappointing. The mozzarella was super, breaded wonderfully. Very good, I enjoyed them. Hummus & Pita Bread: 9/10. Who goes to a Greek restaurant and doesn’t order hummus and pita bread? This was spectacular. The bread was nice and warm, very soft, and the hummus tasted delicious. The pita gave me a very homey, warm feeling. For some reason, just eating it brought me comfort. They give you way too much hummus in comparison to the amount of bread they give you, so we had to ask for more. It was super good though. Chicken & Shrimp Kebabs: 8/10. I received one chicken kebab and one shrimp kebab. They were very good! Both were done well and seasoned nicely, tasted very flavorful. Chicken wasn’t dry, shrimp wasn’t over-cooked or anything. The tzizki sauce paired wonderfully with it. The dish came with some pita bread that I used to eat the extra hummus with as well. Good food. Baklava: 9/10. I have to wonder why I have never tried such a delicacy like baklava. This was perfect, I loved it. It was much easier to eat with my hands than the fork they give, but I guess some people just don’t like to eat with their hands. Couldn’t be me though, my Indian ancestors shan’t roll in their graves because of me. Super good and sweet, but not too sweet. The honey was sticky and the bread was thick in the perfect way. It’s a great dessert for if you like sweet treats that aren’t too tooth-rotting.

Good Americanized Greek Food, pita bread is Not actually Greek food, it's Lebanese I believe. The quality is still consistent over the years. Still the same consistent quality the end of 2023.

Excellent Mediterranean cuisine with nice sides included. Everything tasted so fresh and the service was prompt & attentive, restaurant was clean with a wall of pictures showing all the dishes. Really great find along Harrison Blvd when we came up to visit our daughter at Weber State. New favorite place to eat. Also, it's not super fancy inside, but the authenticity and mix of Mediterranean flavors is, hands down, the best we've ever had! It's a fun place to take a date and the prices are reasonable with great portion sizes and options for entrees and sides. We absolutely LOVE University Broiler & Grill!

We went in and got double chicken plate and a single chicken plate. The portion on the two were totally different. The single had larger portions of everything besides the chicken. The double chicken was clearly portioned with less food. The worst part of the meal was the chicken. It was extremely dry. It was hard to choke down. It tasted too me like they over microwave it. I spend 20 bucks on this plate I’m glad I had some ranch to help with choke it down. If you order the chicken bring lots of water your going to need it. The girls in front were very nice and sweet awesome customer service. Recommended the chicken which is the only negative I have. Thanks

Love this place but the authentic flavor is far from there. Pretty bland and no veggies all starch. Greek food typically has fresh veggies paired with the main course.

This is such a cute little place. It's been around for a long time and it's family owned. The food is absolutely phenomenal and reasonably priced. If you like Greek food or you want to give it a try, go see them. They don't have a liquor menu or wine but they do have beer.

Tsaziki was fire. Got the chicken kebab with gyro; both juicy and not over cooked. Lemon rice is bomb and fries instead of salad. Hits the spot when you want Greek.

My favorite Greek resultant in all of Utah, the combination plates are the way to go! The rice and potato’s are always so delicious and I go back and forth between the trout and the chicken kebabs

The rice, the salad the potatoes were delicious! The chicken, beef and baklava were not so good.

The food is on par with most Utah Greek restaurants. The service is okay, but not great. The big reason I’m giving them one star is that they blocked off their handicapped parking to put up outdoor dining tables. When I tried to address this with the cashier, she said it was the owner’s decision and that he was unlikely to change it. She refused to let me talk to the owner, who was less than ten feet away. This is against the law, and it inconveniences every handicapped person who is entitled to use that space, but cannot because of the tables.

Ordered 2 trout dinner to go; who or what chef would add both rice and potatoes on the same plate and no vegetables? Poor choice of side items; trout was not favorable and meaty, thin and dried out; poor quality of trout; no lemon, ran out at lunch time? Lastly no tartar sauce was provided; Obviously I would not recommend this place.

We are new to the area and love having a Greek food option nearby. I had lamb kabobs with rice and it was delicious. My husband had the gyro and it was great as well. Their tzatziki was one of the best I've had. Our server was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

Awesome fresh food. This place should be a lot busier than it is. Came here for a guys dinner with friends. Some of them are foodies and we all enjoyed our dinners and we're all had nothing but good stuff to say about the place. They serve beer was well. Their potatoes are really good.

The food here is slightly above average. Service is also slightly above average. Atmosphere same.

My very favorite part of eating here was having Jaxton take our order, hearing his love of the food they have, and watching him clear tables inside and out. All employees there should take his example. He is a very hard worker and deserves a raise. The food itself was fine. (Not the best I've had in Utah but okay.)

The lunch menu is well priced for what u get! We had a gyro and a gyro salad. The meat was tender and flavorful. The side of rice with the gyro was a bit bland but all in all a good meal!

I was very happy to see that I could order just meat on the menu. I would get it all again except for the shrimp. It was a bit dry and with out flavor.

So far the only decent Greek food in the area. Happy to have this nearby. The Baklava is quite good, hummus is good, some of the other foods are certainly not homemade like a true Greek restaurant, but it's still decent and service is good.

The food was not good at all. The meat was dry, and the hummus was strange. I can only imagine that it was made from a packet of dehydrated hummus mix--if such a thing exists. The dolmades were mush, the pita is like having an Olive Garden version of bread sticks. I suppose that sums this up: if you like Olive Garden for Italian food, then you might like University Boiler and Grill for Mediterranean food. The waitress was really nice. Very attentive. I've rarely had such good service before.

Ordered the food and 60 seconds later was given fresh, warm and delicious food. The guy that helped me was friendly and quick! 5 out of 5, they were even technically closed and I didn’t even notice. So amazing….

Still the best Greek restaurant in the Ogden area. Their gyro is more like you get in Greece than the standard American gyro sandwich. Wife hade the gyro plate complete with potatoes, rice,and salad. Both of us had ice tea. They have both a walk up and order window as well as a traditional dining room.

I've been coming here for a while but have noticed the portions for the salad and the quality of the falafel has diminished. It is 13.99 for a salad and portions are small. Ice burg salad bag mix a few olives and a small amount of meat. I will not be getting food here anymore.The low carb salad at Greek souvlaki is just better, more food and flavors better. Not to mention less expensive.

I love this restaurant with all that I have! It’s simple, delicious, and consistent! The lemon potatoes are my go to side every time, and the dressing on the salad is the best! They even sell it by the bottle, I always have one at home! I typically get the falafel over salad, the falafel is crispy but not dry and the flavor is great. Some of my favorite falafel. The ambiance inside is quirky, but don’t let that fool you, it’s a great restaurant and you won’t be disappointed if you’re looking for some delicious Greek food!

Based on the reviews, I expected more from this place, though I concede that it's been very difficult to find quality Mediterranean and/or Greek food in the Ogden area. So far, the falafel sandwich, the rice, the salads, and even stuff on the kids' menu have been overcooked, uninspiring, or lacking in quality ingredients. It's possible I've tried the wrong things, but after three visits, we've been disappointed.

Awful and over priced with a side of hastle! Let me start by saying I really used to like this place. I will never go back again. The food is very expensive and you don’t hardly get anything for the money. I ordered a chicken salad with extra lettuce. The cashier said he didn’t understand what I meant… I’m not sure how that can be difficult to comprehend but, unfortunately for the cashier it was. My salad came with less than a handful of bag grocery store iceberg lettuce and 5 very thinly sliced strips of chicken. The chicken was dry and not even a standard portion size. The salad was $15.00!! Not to mention that the actual salad was the size of a fast food side salad. Also, I’m asking for extra lettuce, the restaurant/cashier wanted to charge me for a side salad! I understand we are in a inflationary time in our country. But, when will these businesses and corporations understand that if we don’t buy from them, they won’t have a business! This is probably the third time I’ve put up with bad service and under sized portions. The cost, the headache from staff and the lack of food I’d definitely why I’ll never be back. 16 yrs of supporting this business… I’m done! P.s. the extremely small portions started before inflation :/

This is not real greek food. The best way to describe it is american greek. The food was awful. I was looking forward to it but it was truly disappointing. It's like they took packaged salad mix and put it in a pita bread and called it a gyro. After going here and wasting money, we went somewhere else. Would not recommend!!!!!!

Mediocre food, bland environment.

We went looking for a Greek place in Ogden and found one. This place is great! Very good Greek menu with a few American things on the side. I had a Greek gyro salad while my wife had her favorite spanakopita. They offer both table service and takeout. The gyro meat was similar to we had in Greece not long thin strips but mor large chunks carved off the spit. This is a must go place if you want Greek when in Ogden. We will be going back.

We arrived about 1:00pm and the restaurant was busy. Lunch specials are available for about $11 with combos and regular menu items more expensive. Our food was good and service was good. Outdoor seating of two tables probably as the weather allows. At least two people ordered meals to carry out so not all customers eat there. As the name implies, this location is close to Weber State University.

We’re traveling and randomly found this place. The food was fantastic. We plan on eating here again on our way back home. Highly recommend!!!

The food is always fresh and delicious.

I enjoy simple warm soup once in a while. In my quick short lunch break, I ordered their chicken green lemon soup. The wait time was reasonable and the soup was perfect for what I need. Customer service was great and their staff were very friendly.
