Fantastic Thai food in Dickinson. Had Pad Thai with beef. Highlu recommend.

I recently dined at Upin Thai and it was an exceptional experience! The food was absolutely exceptional. The Pad Thai was a standout—perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice and freshness. I also appreciated the diverse selection of options for both traditional and modern Thai cuisine. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable for the quality and experience. If you’re a fan of Thai food or just looking to try something new, Upin Thai is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

Food was awesome as well as the service.

Food was excellent tonight! Got the chicken pad Thai, fried rice and cream cheese wontons. Recommend all! You can order to whatever spice level you prefer. Our food was ready in 15 minutes. Prepared well and we and our kids received great service when we picked up. She visited with them, gave them some 4th of July treats. It was a great stop and great supper at home.

The two who run this place are so sweet. The lady made me a vegan yellow curry with a ton of vegetables. I was so happy to find a good vegan meal in Dickinson. Just an fyi-it is cash only.

Upin is amazing and the food is to die for... best food in North Dakota. And dare I say best Asian food in the Nation?? It's tough to say but I promise you that you will not be disappointed. I have tried everything on her menu and have nothing bad to say. Thank you Upin!

The Drunkin Noodles were very good with just the right amount of spice. Large proportions.

Fabulous, Upin is a wonderful person and fabulous cook, enjoyed learning her story while there, simply scrumptious! Many people come from out of State, watch the time—it is Mountain time while much of ND is Central time.

Update 4/08/24 still awesome. Love the spicy. Cash only! first time tonight getting take out. The customer service alone would be 5 stars. I got the pad thai. best I've had hands down. lots of flavor, good portion lots of meat. they threw some sauce in too which was cool but it has nuts in it and I'm not sure what kind but I wish there was a warning cuz I thought it was garlic chunks and I got some allergies. I didnt die tho 😅. but the food is worth the almost death experience in my humble opinion.

The woman is so sweet and gave us a sample to try. The food is certified bussin and so good. I also had Thai Tea it’s all homemade and is totally worth checking this place out!

Portions are nice large size, food always comes out excellent and never got my order wrong.

Absolutely the BEST food I have found in North Dakota!! Had the Srimp Fried Rice w Egg Rolls. She even makes her own dipping sauce! Yummm They give you ALOT of food for such a reasonable price. Wonderful atmosphere and the people are so nice and friendly.....Highly recommend!

I'm sorry, I wish the owner well, but I can't say I enjoyed this Thai food. Usually Thai is so flavorful with great spices. This was very bland and no spice (I did not specify how spicy I wanted it, but trusted the menu that said medium for that dish). I usually don't get to eat Thai where I live and I was really hoping to get those flavors!

I have worked as a server at a Thai Food restaurant in Hawaii. I've been to Thailand several times. Dickinson ND you are so lucky to have Upin!! I wish I were a poet to describe how delicious our dinner was. My favorite part was the sitting and talking stories with Upin ❤️ If you look at the outside our her building and say nah!! Then you will never experience authentic food.

Traveling through town and we tried it. The best Thai I've ever had in my LIFE. It was seriously so good I CRIED. I've been HUNTING for Thai food all over the country that was as good and I still haven't found it.

This place satisfy your taste buds, hands down one for the books. Been all over the country this place doesn't disappoint.

A very unique take on Pad Thai, I was delighted by the flavor. I would recommend getting extra sauces for it.

Typically a 20-30 minute wait, but well worth it!

Yum Yum dishes are the owner's family recipes. I had the Yum Yum Salad with chicken and it was wonderful! The chicken and Yum Yum sauce are heated then tossed with the fresh onions, celery and bell peppers; it's served with a large side of rice. It might not be what you're expecting for a 'salad but it is fabulously delicious. The beef and chicken egg rolls are equally good the flavor of the meat and veg take center stage. I am not usually a big dunker when it comes to egg rolls but you have to try the mango dipping sauce that comes with the egg rolls... sweet, savory and spicy all at the same time. I was an egg roll dunker today! ** They are CASH ONLY, but there is an ATM on site if you forgot to bring bills. **

Phenomenon food the lady that made my food definitely made sure I was well taken care of and I will most definitely be coming back.

Don't let the outside and the decor fool you. Upin Thai delivers food-wise. A better location, nicer interior, more inviting space to actually eat there would definitely help. The food is fantastic though!

Tasted like boiled watery hot chicken with no flavor. seriously. Lots of it, the serving is large. but who wants a lot of something that I can not even feed to my dog. The man said that he put the coconut milk in himself. You must reduced it down my friend before adding. The bell pepper was green no red vegetables anywhere and it was over cooked to mush and I picked it up before 3pm. Perhaps the red was the too hot oil the cook added in to compensate for no red peppers. ??? Sadly I paid cash and gave a tip. Not everyone is a cook. As a former restaurant owner I would be embarrassed and apologize and find out what happened. I’d like driving it back to the establishment and having them eat it. it’s not been eaten. Wasted $20. The food can’t be salvaged. Should I waste the gas? Probably not.

Went in, asked for beef curry, he asked what kind and waited for me to read the menu. Got a Reed beef curry, and for 15 or so bucks it could reasonably feed 2-3 adults. Good food, good service. I just don't know where to park.

I am violating the first rule and talking about upin. It is fantastic. Do not tell your friends, family, or coworkers. Keep this place a secret.

We ended up stuck in a blizzard. Being vegan and gluten free I was worried there would be very limited options for food. We popped in to Upin and the employees were incredibly helpful, friendly and treated us with some dessert rice. Our entrees were fresh and delicious - great food and service!

Delicious food, always a must stop when in Dickinson for work.

The food is really good and the cook is awesome. So busy today we had to wait 40 mins so call ahead and pick-up when you're ready. The lady at the counter spends most of her time on the phone anyway. It might be a good idea to get her a hands free.

It is a small place and people generally call in and pick up their food to eat elsewhere. We walked in to order and they were really busy- would have been a half hour wait. She had just made some extra pad Thai and chicken fried rice and said we could take that so we didn't have to wait long. We took her up on that and were out the door in a few minutes. Delicious food and large portions- enough for lunch the next day. Some of the best cream cheese wontons I've had too! And I for one appreciate that they don't give you plastic silverware.

Awesome flavorful food! Able to make most dishes vegan or vegetarian apon request just be clear about what you can and can't eat. Sometimes they even have tofu in the back :)

A delightful surprise to find such high quality Thai food in ND, and kind people are always a bonus. I live in nyc, have had a lot of good Thai, and this ranks amongst the highest. I will absolutely make a point of returning when I am in the area. Thank you and best wishes.

Amazing! It looks alittle scetchy on the sides of the building but I'm so glad we weren't scared away because not only were the people, who own this small businesses super awesome, so was the food! They were very accommodating and made all the food fresh right in front of you! I don't like mushrooms so she substituted with eggplant (right from their garden in the back) in the spicy green curry for me! When the food was served the portions were huge! We were so stuffed that it was a pleasure to take it home for leftovers. Still amazing the third day! Everything was lovely. Will reccomend to all my friends and Family to have the same heart warming experience that my family and I did ☺️spent 38$ a heck of a deal.

Absolutely amazing place! Walked in with friends and we were greeted by the owner and staff and offered samples of some of the curries before ordering. Staff was incredibly friendly, kind, and a joy to talk to. And most importantly, the food was phenomenal. My friend and I ordered and split both the pad Thai and drunken noodles. Best pad Thai I’ve had! My other friend had the green curry, which he also raved about. Great portion sizes and the Thai tea we ordered was also delicious. If I ever come through Dickinson again I’ll certainly stop by again!

I have been going here for years. The food is absolutely amazing. The portions are pretty good sized for the price. Chicken fried rice topped with the sweet and sour my favorite. Upin makes the best food!

Went here with my daughter and had the best dinner ever! Huge servings and the spicy crab roll was fabulous! Order early cause she gets busy but it is sooooo worth it.

This is the best Thai food we have had since we moved to North Dakota 4 years ago!!! Huge servings, great prices, amazing flavor, and the most important of all is how accommodating she is!!! I have celiac disease and she made sure my whole order was gluten free and separate from all other food!!! Will make this place a regular for my family!!! Thanks Upin!!!

Pad Thai is the bomb! This place is fairly priced and you get a good sized portion. Definitely one of the only non-Applebee’s style places to eat in town. Dickinson definitely has to up its food game and this place is a good start.

Tried this place based on reviews. It’s generally a take out restaurant but since there was seating, we decided to eat in. Food was tasty, reasonably priced and the portions were generous. The two gentlemen were courteous and friendly.

Seriously the best Thai I have ever had, honestly may be the best meal I've ever had. We felt like we were in grandma's kitchen.

Very good food, most people do takeout, but there is bar style seating if you want to eat inside and see how busy they are at lunch with a stream of people coming in. Have eaten here probably 3 times (whenever i am in the area) and its always good.

Great Thai food. You can order the "spice" level however you want to describe it to the person taking your order. Medium has plenty of taste for me. Hot is exactly that and authentic/how you would make it back home, well that is just dangerous.

This is hands down one of my favorite places to get Asian food in North Dakota. I always get the red or yellow curry, but I have also tried the pad Thai that a friend ordered. Delicious! I would probably avoid the fried rice there is just better stuff on the menu. The pepper steak is also pretty good. The owner and cook never makes anything until you order so it is always fresh. He does like to talk, so if you would rather not chit chat while you wait, call ahead and have it ready to pick up when you get there.

Very little for vegetarians. Also, it is not really convenient to eat in, there is very little seating and they don't have plates and silverware. Our food was served to us in take out containers. That being said, the food was amazing and delicious. We actually were able to take one of the curries home to eat for a different meal!

This place is small and you might miss it, but the food is good. The people running it are nice, they explain the food to make sure you are getting what you expect, and you get large portions!

This is an amazing place, worth the slight detour if you are driving through town. Everything we had was amazing.
