The name is more inviting than the food. I discarded my entire meal.

I've never had brisket that felt like it was sitting in a heating pad for days. It was dry and white looking. The french fries were okay. Could have been crispier, beans were good. But after taking a few bites of the brisket I had to throw it away. It must have been yesterday's or last week's batch.

im kinda upset they only take cash. Ppl dont carry cash anymore. Mot like that.

Got the barbecue chicken beans and mashed potatoes. I'm glad it was good portion of the beans and mashed potatoes because the barbecue chicken was dry And I could only eat half of it

I ordered the urban legend from this location. I had ordered it in the past and it was definitely worth the money then. Today when I got it I can't begin to even explain how disappointed I am. It is missing about 80% of the meat that normally came with the meal previously. There is absolutely no brisket. I have taken approximately 3 bites from the dish I received because I'm at work and I have to eat something and this is what I'm left with after shelling out over $25.00 through Doordash. I called to ask if something has went wrong due to the small portion and food quality because Doordash support is pure garbage and the employee who answered the phone said: "Yeah I talked to my manager and they said that some things have have happened and because of that the portions are smaller now." If that is the case the price point should reflect the portion you are receiving. I hope someone from urban BBQ can do something about this because this was my GO TO spot when I needed something amazing but the urban legend was definitely not legendary today. I would advise maybe going to the restaurant instead of ordering through Doordash because it seems they don't care about their customers concerns otherwise.

The pulled pork, tomato & cucumber & corn salad, and Mac & cheese was great.

The food was pretty good. Service was good.

Great service from at the counter from a very pleasant young man, college football on on all screens, beer/cider, lots of parking. I haven’t been into the Mission BBQ in this area, but compared to the Mission BBQ in the Richmond area, this place has equally great food, great portion sizes and great prices. Can’t imagine why the local Mission has .7 more stars than Urban but as of September 16, 2023, Urban is def solidly ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟 five stars!

It is a good option if you are traveling on the road and do not know what to eat, they have a variety of dishes for all tastes and with very good flavor, the atmosphere quiet and peaceful. I recommend this place 💯 💯 without any doubt

pulled chicken 4/10 very dry beef brisket 6/10 good flavor but not hitting the spot cornbread 4/10 over done shouldn’t have sent this piece out collard greens 8/10 good flavor nice spice mac n cheese 5/10 very mid urban soul rolls 5/10 they’re okay I just shouldn’t have ordered beef brisket and the soul rolls that’s on me there’s also something random in my bag it tastes like chili 8/10 good flavors worth the shot to try the food but don’t think I would order again

BBQ is excellent and the staff is super friendly. I keep going back when I can. Pulled pork, brisket and ribs were on point. Sides as well. Sauces available were tasty and complemented the food perfectly. Highly recommend!!

It was good. We were from out of state and wanted to try something different.

Just ehhh, the sausage links and brisket was awful unfortunately.

Walked in and it was empty. When I started eating the driest brisket I’ve ever tasted I understand why. Beans were out of a can and the coleslaw was weird. You don’t deserve to claim you serve bbq

I felt like a beef sandwich and fries. I enjoyed my meal. I know they have been at that location a while. But there was only one person before and one after me at about 1 pm.

Food was great, they were out of brisket when I got there. They definitely know what they are doing in the kitchen; chicken was juicy and had a pleasant hint of smoke. Will probably come back to try the brisket.

Had the brisket tacos with urban topped and an amazing bowl of chili

Ordered Red BBQ Wings (bone in), Boneless Old Bay Wings, Fries and Mac N Cheese. Had a sample of each sauce (BBQ, Yellow, Red, Atomic & Dragon). I personally don't like hot but the flavor of each was good! The food was delicious! It was cooked perfectly! Service..Polite Proficient and Professional! We were informed of ingredients which is always a plus! The space was clean and refills are FREEE!

I wish that they could get their hours of operation correct on Sundays. This is my third time coming, and the restaurant is closed. I usually arrive at 1 pm or 2 pm. The website will say they are open, and you get disappointed when you go to the door. It is wild how the hours of operation are not posted on the door. I need you to get your hours together.

Chicken extremely dry - 1/4 leg dark AND pulled chicken. Sides were excellent size, and pretty tasty - mac n cheese, potato salad sakad and collards. Cornbread was good as well. I tried it, would probably not return.

Been coming here since they opened. Good food and good staff. Limited menu after the pandemic. Hopefully they keep getting support from those who are in the business park and surrounding offices.

Eh. The sauces weren't really great. Not a large variety.

Food was rather dry, not much of a smoke flavor. The baked beans had a vinegar taste.

BBQ pork, ribs and brisket was great, we didn't like the sides (Cole slaw and mashed potatoes.) Service was quick and friendly.

Not a great menu, but the food was good. There are better BBQ restaurants in the area, all you have to do is find them. It is good for a quick lunch around the neighborhood.

Since my last stop here, the food has gotten significantly worse. There's hardly any staff or patrons either. Shame since there's hardly any lunch stop barbecue locations nearby.

The 2 star rating is because of past experiences. So, I feel I owe them that. BUT!!!!! I keep giving this place a try, but I really feel this last time will be the last. The food which 3 years ago was amazing has been in a steady decline and no longer is anything particularly great. In fact this time the brisket was more fat than anything. The big issue is the atmosphere of the place. It previously had a quaint little bar area with an amazing selection of taps. You could get served at the bar, have a beer, watch some sports. No more!!!!! Like several other reviews I was told they are trying to get beer back. Why did it end in first place? I was told it was because a liquor store was opening next door, which frankly makes no sense. Now it is just this sad little forgotten place with few patrons, an apathetic staff, average at best food, and no real reason to be there any longer.

BBQ so good it made my toes curl. Tomato cucumber salad? Not so much, but that’s just my personal opinion. I can see why someone would like it (: Only waited like 5 minutes for hot delicious food. Great service, very clean place, great atmosphere! I will be coming back. Yum.

First time visiting. Food was ok. Portions for the 2 meat sampler isn't worth it. Mission BBQ 2 meat sampler has better portions and taste better. Ribs were tender and juicy. Good flavor. Brisket could've had more flavor but it wasn't dry.

Best Bbq I have ever had. Been all over the country this is the best. Fall off the bone Ribes brisket wasn't fatty. Mac and cheese was baked to perfection. Oh n the greens were better than any southern greens I've ever had. Gold star****

The food is good but the price of the food to the portion of food you get didn't add up to me! 2 tacos, 2 eggs rolls, a side salad and redneck nachos, oh and the not even filled up chilli that was suppose to be cheese!?. cost me 43$ my pic is with 1 taco ate, a couple nachos ate and a piece of the egg roll eaten. *Beefalo bobs* is way cheaper the food taste the same if not better and you get way more for 13 dollars vs. This over price version. Located in Glen burnie Your welcome :) & The dude that took my order attitude rubbed me wrong (husband said cancel it when he heard the guy, but i said lets just try it) The guy couldn't understand what I was saying.. legit I wanted Buffalo sauce with blue cheese crumbles in it (not sure what was so hard about that but anyways).. he charged me 2 dollars for sauce! Which I might add he gave me the wrong ones ! I got 2 Buffalo 1 blue cheese and no ranch for my salad I had asked for. Legit small Ken cups for 2$ that doesn't add up to me either. Seemed like one of those things where a place ain't doing so great so they charge for anything and everything.. I see why they are dead and the reviews add up.. my husband said I was too generous with my stars lol good luck to anybody who goes there. :)

If from Texas and the food was great. I enjoyed my meal. I had the 3 meat combo.

Store looks like that other bbq chain but there are major differences in the food starting with the plethora of options. Main takeaway: when I asked for brisket here I didn't get a choice of lean or moist(fatty). I found I like the moist(fatty) brisket better. I loved the collard green side. LOVED IT. Can't get it at that other place. The beans were good too, but the other place had bigger chunks of meat in their beans.

Nice place and nice people. Food wasn't great. Brisket was dry and tough despite asking for a fatty cut. Pork was the best thing we had. Well seasoned, nice and smoky. Fries advertised on the menu as "house cut fries." Only thing they cut was the bag when they took the fries out of the freezer. Not bad for frozen fries, but certainly not house cut. Mashed potatoes were good, gravy was terrible.

I found this place on a spur of the moment with a friend. I was catching a flight out of BWI and thought it would be a great spot for BBQ. I ordered one of their sampler platters and was not disappointed. If you are in the area or are looking for BBQ, give Urban a try. I do not believe you will be disappointed.

It's cool ... not as good as mission. It's never busy and there is mountain dew on the soda machine. They clearly use to have beer & root beer...no mas!!! The guys running it were nice though.

Food is good. Music is a bit loud for a restaurant vs a night club!

How are you going to have a restaurant and not have water for patrons? I asked for water and he said sorry we only have soda. I asked to use a soda cup for water from the fountain drink station and was told no the cups are only for soda. Tf? All I want is some water with my meal....wish I could take my prepaid tip back. Food was decent though. They had one guy cooking AND taking orders ...one....guy...smh

The potato salad and ribs are amazing! Very fresh food and quiet atmosphere. Definitely a hidden gem.

1st and last time here. I spent $35 on food and the cashier forgot to add the soda before I paid. They did not want to take my credit card to buy the soda becuase it was less than $5. I requested a refund. They rather loose a a sale than charging the card or just giving a cup that most likely it cost 10cent.

I came here when you first opened. Such yummy BBQ. I think the toll of everything these past few years took the soul of this BBQ joint. Get back to your roots of why you opened? Because you wanted to share your BBQ flavors. 🥰

Not crowded at All.foid was okay

Generic BBQ place with plenty of seating spaces. The amount of meat that was given wasn't large, although they do give a fair amount of sides with it. I tried the pull pork and it was good, nothing was really special about it. The mash potatoes side was a large amount but there was very little gravy.

I loved the food here ,it was delicious yum yummy.

The worst food money can buy waste of time

The first time I went to this restaurant I had a very great experience I'm going to say about the third time I went to this restaurant it wasn't so good I ordered brisket they charged me $5 more because of the platter that I ordered the platter consists of two Meats I don't eat pork and I didn't want chicken because the last time I got chicken it was dry so I asked for double brisket and I was charged for that and then it didn't look like they gave me double on top of that it was salty and on top of that they raise the prices was cool at first it won't be back

I'd give 0 stars if i could! Came from out of town, and went in for lunch. The menu prices in the dining room have been raised from what is listed on the menu. The man taking my order was rude about it when I said something about it. Placed my order and all I had was cash on me. My bill was $14 and some change and he insisted must have exact change which honestly is ridiculous. I left and went to Toro Bravo next door, and had a FANTASTIC (and cheaper!) meal. I'll never return to urban crapique.

We were the only ones there on a Monday evening. Portion sizes were good. Smoked meats were good. Variety of sauce choices. Location was easy to get in and out of

Fast service, delicious food! I got the dark chicken 1/4, the meat fell off the bone, so juicy and tender! I could eat a gallon of the Mac n cheese, it's so creamy and delicious

So disappointed ...I ordered a pulled chicken sandwich & fries. the bun was soggy, the chicken does not taste good at all. The food is not the same from when they 1st opened. This used to be my go to lunch spot which was always packed. I will not be returning.

Nothing super spectacular, its low key good. Customer service, on a personal level was great. Meat was good and sauce are great! The restaurant was kot packed, either.. Id revisit on the next drive to lithicum area.

I’m hoping the owner/manager reads this because clearly, there is a lack of care and/or training going on here. Before 2020, this place was my go-to when my sons came to town. They had the best ribs I’ve ever had (no lie). Now, not only has the food quality declined, but the decor inside has too. My son and I sat at one table, but it was wobbly and the booth was ripped, so we moved to another table. One of these staff walked right by and ignored the problem. It seems like they accept the decline of this once great restaurant. The brisket was dry and flavorless. They had no beer…I was told they’re “working on getting beer back”. All these issues are fixable if owner/manager starts upholding standards.

I stopped in (first time) to grab a quick something for lunch. I got the pulled pork sandwich only and took it to go. When I got it home, the sandwich was a nice size. The only problem was that I forgot to pick up some barbecue sauce :-(

The food was just okay. Looks delicious. Fast service. But the brisket had very little flavor. The ribs were better, and tender, but still not much flavor. The beans however were amazing and the best part. Only... who wants the beans to be the best part of a meat sampler?

I absolutely love. Bbq, so I ordered the "3 meat platter, with(2 sides&bread) burned end beans, macaroni and cheese, and cornbread. Icy cold sweet tea to wash it down. 3 Lil bbq cups to use. Yum. Most definitely ordering again! Took me 3 times to eat it all. :-)

Way too much vinegar on the ribs. I tried 2 different locations to see if it was a fluke, but nope. It had the same way too much vinegar recipe. That's it for me.

I was looking for good Bar-B-Que. Urban Bar-B-Que was a bit boring and "fast food" like. Not very friendly, too.

The best hands down bbq we have had in quit a while.

Although the chicken, brisket, and pulled pork were good and tender the food was bland.

How does this place even exist still. Does the owner just not care? One person working lunch almost every time I visit. I'm sure that this place has put more people back out the door then in the seats. It's a shame because they have decent food.

Dined in again for the first time in months. Unfortunately i wasn't blown away. I tried again a couple weeks later, and it was more downhill. The service was par, not terrible, not above and beyond. The food, brisket in particular, I don't know how to explain, it just wasn't good. I've always preferred urban over mission, slightly disappointed at my last 2 visits.

This place opened 4 or so years ago. Iibe been 15 times with 0 issues. It has always been solid, brisket was generally good , wings, pulled chicken and pork solid. It's been a while since I had been here. I had the 2 meat sampler , brisket and pulled chicken. My wife pulled chicken sandwich and son Mac and cheese with fries Chicken and brisket were dry as hell. The chicken had an orange color , and no bbq taste. Not what we have gotten here before. See pictures. So they replaced the pulled chicken with pulled pork which was much better for both me and my wife. I then just asked for a refund on my 2 meat sampler. The kid had to call a manager , none on duty. The lady in the back didn't know English and the kid was clueless on bbq or running anything up front. Not sure I'd leave those 2 to run the place. After 10 min on the phone with the manager Ignacio , he comes back and says my manager says I have to take back the sampler and the pulled and we have refunded you the sampler. I mean I didn't want the sampler , but would have eaten the pork , yet took that too. Just odd. The place looks run down as well , I mean invest in the menu, don't write things on paper and paste them up there. Needless to say thanks for nothing, won't be going back again.

I visited here 2 years ago numerous times the food had better quality 2 years ago than it has now sorry urban your restaurant has fell over the boat just a little you need to bring back the Cole slaw with the soolantra all the sauces are the same the quality of the meat was different it's okay but it was alot better a couple of years ago

They do not appear to have thier own smoker. The quality was medium. Turkey was ok, beans with tip meat was a joke with out the tomato and possibly red peper pieces in it I would say it was direct from a can. Saracha Chiken sausage was a.greesy mess that looked like a large Jimmy Dean sausage. The flavor was good but the portion size of the sausage was lacking. POSITIVES cornbread was great and the greens were flavorful and tasty. The sauces I tried were very good and almost work an extra star. Bottom line will not be back and not a value between cost and portion size

Yummy BBQ. The pulled chicken was good. Mac and cheese was really good. They were out of a few items but still offered plenty of options.

Smoked turkey was dry, brisket was good. Make sure you have all food items before you leave the establishment.

I’m a big bbq lover, the closest one to us that’s ok is Rocklands and or smoke shack but Urban was very delicious, I had my slab dry and love how their bbq sauce wasn’t so sweet and crazy like most bbq places and hold the msg like smoke shack in ft Washington! We made a trip out here from VA for hike and didn’t regret the decision to stop in at Urban! Hope you guys open one in VA soon!!!!!

We purchased a three-meat platter from this restaurant: beef, chicken, and ribs. The meat was soooo SALTY we had to spit it out. Took the food back shared it with the manager and he had the audacity to say they do not use salt. Somebody did. TERRIBLE!! Did not offer any compensation-will not go back.
