Service was horrible lady had an attitude the whole time like she was busy but there were only like 6 people there and my order was to go. Then what I was charged was not what the menu said and when I inquired about it the lady said well we made it already so now you have to pay for it!!!! No sir .....and they let the food go to waste for $2

Great food. Try the white salsa dip, it is a sour cream base. I just noticed they no longer open for lunch, that's sad as I love this place and food. I guess it has to do with covid, less people going out.

I didn't even want to give this restaurant any stars. This place use to have a great menu with exotic food choices. Now ..... very sad 😔 to say it's a regular taco place. ........... and not even a good one. It's the level of Taco Bell!! Spend your hard earned money somewhere else.

We ordered torta de pastor, shrimp cocktail, and shrimp alambre. Everything was great 👌🏼 Horchata was great, please make the glass a little bigger. Also salsas could use more picante 🌶 Five stars 👍🏼

Really good place to eat, plates are big and ladies are very nice. I mainly go for the Volcan dish which is amazing 👏 Only downside was the yellow rice that was kinda bland and a little too moist.

Prices are a tad high for what you get. Food has plummeted in quality. They were out of half the things advertised on the menu, the staff got weird & rude when we brought a service animal in. Handed us a dirty, shattered iPad covered in masking tape to pay our bill. I grew up with this place & it has really gone downhill. Would not recommend. Don't try their margaritas... it's just the cheap sweet & sour mix.

That was a while ago the food is to americanized for a Mexican restaurant..price a little high.

Food was good but took a while to cone out...I think because they are short staffed...only saw 1 cook and only 1 waitress the whole time we were there.

The BESTEST burrito I have EATEN THUS FAR!!! The meat was perfectly seasoned, the rice & beans so ever tender! & OMG 😲 the white sauce is FIIRRREE! The 🌟 of the dish!! It's seasoned, nicely spiced, & delicious on ANYTHING! Whatever you order, GET THE WHITE SAUCE!!

Fantastic restaurant near Midway airport. I feel very lucky to have found this place. Dinner was fantastic and the staff was so friendly. Did not have whiskey and yet I still give five stars...tells you something.

They got my order wrong I came back within 5 minutes and was told they they closed the kitchen and couldn’t remake my food. It was 7:30 and I was told closing was 9. I drove 40 mins out here and ended up with no tacos.

Food is mediocre at best, beans and rice were horrible. Drinks were good but too expensive. Way better and less expensive places around.

Okay so this is another hidden gem in the south side. The steak quality was exquisite. The horchata was a raving hit with my husband and his siblings. The margarita was delicious. Marking this one as a restaurant I'll be visiting again soon. Oh and there's parking so that's convenient!

Our family rents out a Banquet Hall every year for our Annual Family Christmas party...this year we rented the party hall at La Valentina. The + side is they allow you time to go in 1 hr before your event to go in and decorate, the food was out out exactly when uou requested it to be served, the hall has its one bathrooms for your guests separate from the Restaurant dining guests in the front. The Cons are the communication from the Event Mgr & the staff actually working the Event. We chose & paid for the upgrade Premium Bar pckg specifically because our family wanted imported beer. Upon arrival our guests were told by the bartender at the bar that they could ONLY have domestic beer, but they could pay out of pocket for Imported beer. Most of our guests did not know that we had paid for Premium so they believed her and just chose another option. From 7pm- to 8:30 pur guests missed out on drinking the Premium Bar pckg we paid $45 a person for!!! Once we found out we asked to speak to the Manager (not available) The lady who we spoke to did try to resolve the issue, she apologized & said no money coukd be refunded for all the time we lost on our pckg but she did try to make amends by providing us with imported beer to go at the end of our Event to make up for the lost time. Everyone enjoyed the food, the hall is spacious for about 80 people, more than that will be seated tightly.

First time trying this restaurant and everything was delicious, chicken was so juicy and very well grilled. The margaritas are huge and very good, recommend the lime or mango flavor.

This place serves the best Mexican food in where everything on the menu tastes delicious. And the setting is very nice to bring friends or a date for dining in.

Tacos are small and not enough meat. 2 small tacos almost $7.00, I think I’ll stick to Pacos tacos, stuffed with meat and regular size tortilla.

Great experience. Food was fresh and tasty. We required a brunch after mom’s funeral service and they were very accommodating. Though it was a difficult time for our family, we felt like it was a beautiful banquet in her honor. Food was wonderful and they kept the trays filled regardless of how much people ate at no additional cost per person.

Food wasn't that good. Soup tasted watered down.Chips were old tasted stale. Meal was overpriced for portion they serve you. Food was only a 1 star. Never going again.

This restaurant has been around for a while (over 10 years) and I have to give them props for being able to stay open this long. The food and drinks are okay for my taste. Nothing to brag about, yet not bad. This would not be my first choice when picking to eat around the area but it is also not a bad choice. Solid three stars.

The Agua de Jamaica here is one of the best I have ever had... and I've had many from different restaurants. It is not overly sweetened, like most places and is very flavorful. The food is just as amazing. Even the different varieties of salsa that they bring out to go with the chips. The staff here matches the quality and excellence of this restuarant. I highly recommend coming here.

My husband and I love going to Valentina for there food and margaritas are delicious! We usually order a skirtsteak dish and it comes in a big platter with beans and rice is so big we share it! Also there ceviche is always fresh and tasty!

If you have not been here yet do it. Great food and service.

Place was okay first time couple of times I have Been getting the same thing since I been going but lately they have been a real disappointment first off the chips are stall as EVERRRR NOW !!! Then the portions they give you sucks ! I always get a burrito & everytime I get them they get smaller & smaller then when you ask FOR "EXTRA" they charge you for more which is understandable but they still be smaller than when I first got them (I also have pictures from the first couple of times) but that doesn't mean for them to keep getting small . Then my price is always different which I don't understand why because I always get the same thing made the same way .. Then I would try to order 2 hours before closing & this the third time they told me they close & it's not even time for them to close.. Then when I ask to speak to a manager she says I am the manager & some how the phone gets disconnected so I call back & I am not sure if she unplugged it or what but I couldn't get back through the line ... Overall this place needs better management & new staff with positive vibe .... Yes I would love you to speak to the owner you can message me

Los precios en el menu no son los precios reales. Pedi una piña colada y estaba amarga y con pedazon muy grandes de hielo. La comida es cara y no tienen buen sabor ni el agua de horchata sabia bien, te dejaba un sabor muy malo en la boca. Nunca habia estado en un lugar tan malo.

Service was good. Salsas were delish. Chilaquiles were disappointing and lacked chile. Over easy eggs were overcooked. Soup was not tasty.

Valentina is a great mid-scale Mexican restaurant. I don't know if it's been the same guy cooking for a dozen years, but they have been consistently awesome. Parrillas, fajitas, specialty seafood, and tacos for the kids. The atmosphere is cozy, but there's very little of it. If you end up there on a crowded night, you end up in the cold, undecorated downstairs dining room. Finally, they can host events in the back room (maybe 60-80 comfortably) and catering is as good as the kitchen food. We've hosted a first birthday and bautizo celebration there, and it was a great time!

I walked in today with my laptop Martha the waitress told me I could not have meetings at the their restaurant. I had to mention to her 3 times, either way I was going to eat and drink. She tried to deny service to me in front of a very important client of mine. Restaurant was empty. After 10 yrs of going there I will never go back for the same embarrassment and bad service Martha provided. She also over priced everything. Check your receipts with Martha! Very unprofessional. My last visit today 1-27-19

Fantastic food! Great service and great portions. Waitress were really attentive and menu options were plenty. All salsas were good and chips were fresh. Drink menu is also great, they sell beer and cocktail drinks. Place has it’s own parking lot. A must try!

Food is great. I've been going to this place for years. Recently in the last year, I've noticed they over charge EVERY single time I'm there. When I have addressed them on the issue they make it seem like the mistake is on you or like they can care less. I now warn people that go there to keep tabs on what they order and prices. Again the food is great, this has been one of my favorite places to eat for years but they have been charging me for things I did not order or for extra drinks, etc. I don't think I will be returning any time soon because this has turned into a regular routine for them. Moral of the story: CHECK YOUR RECEIPT.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome. Food is to die for, especially the Carne Asada combos. I live south of the Museum of Science and Industry, which is very far away. This establishment is soooooo worth the drive.

First time there and won't return. The salsa was good but the chips were stale. Husband ordered the steak, it was good but the portion was quite small. I ordered the asada enchiladas, it was tasty until I saw a hair in the food. It did not come from me it was not laying on too of the food. It was clearly entangled inside the food. The cook was sneezing in the kitchen. Disgusting!
