I stumbled on this little gem of a joint. Small, but fantastic. Husband & wife team. Dined with my 2 granddaughters (8 & 13 yrs) and they enjoyed it also. I had an omelette. Now, as a once pro cook & having been part of the culinary world, I can honestly say, it was literally the best omelette I've ever had. It was like a *cloud*. C'est ce bon! Fantastique! 😗🤌🏽

Had the winter waffles and egg white frittata it was delicious! Friendly owner and great coffee and atmosphere such a cute brunch spot!

As someone who’s been in a lot of caffès and restaurants ,I gotta say this is one of the top 5 I’ve visited. The place is cozy and pristine. Starting by the decoration, the colors, plants and furnitures build a great experience since from the beginning. The menu is clean and objective. Nothing extra or too much. First time I tried their signature burger and was surprised. The details on the recipe were somehow unexpected and unforgettable. Second time, I tried the weekend brunch menu. The steak and salad are something out of this world! The seasoning, meat quality, presentation, and most important the flavors are unique.They’ve been working really hard to offer this experience to the customers. Everything was fresh, tasty, rich and well prepared. Fast service, polite staff. A place to go with high expectations of being well served, I’m sure they won’t disappoint you. If you want a good and affordable gastronomical experience in Union City, this is a must go!

We were five and almost tried everything on the menu. Serving size too small. Cutlery was ok. Bread and waffles did not taste good. Steep prize for food. Had to pay separately for coffee. Very expensive.

Friendly staff and amazing food

From its cute corner spot to its thoughtful decor, it was love at first sight. But the food and coffee was next level. We had the grilled cheese (Oaxaca cheese?! Like what?!??) and the breakfast sandwich on the roll with bacon. And to finish it the winter waffle (churro…say less).the bacon was thick and delicious and the egg was cooked perfectly. The grilled cheese was a revelation. And we will be dreaming of the waffles! The service was outstanding to boot. We can’t wait to go back!

I love coming to this place! The gentlemen there is so friendly and it seems like a family business so I hope people support this local business. The food is always delicious. So far we’ve had their their breakfast, soup, burgers, and sandwich and I love their taro chips.

Impeccable service and friendly staff

This place is very unassuming when we were looking for breakfast spots on google maps.It’s tucked in a corner location of a neighborhood giving it a local vibe. The menu was simple but had a great selection of options within our budget. I’d highly recommend getting the breakfast toast if you ever go. It not only was presented very nicely but also tasted amazing. Would definitely come back if I find myself in NJ in the future!!

Cute local spot for breakfast or lunch. It has a family cafe vibe and I love it. Waitress is amazing, she is always friendly and patient. I would recommend to come earlier in the morning on weekends because it gets packed fast. Delicious food for a reasonable price. Totally recommend

The food was super tasty! The owner was the one that took care of us. He suggested some plates out of the menu and made some special dishes for our group to share. Also it’s a BYOB super convenient for a brunch with friends! We loved the spot is super cozy.

It's definitely a place you want to come back to and try all the dishes on the menu! You can see that everything has been thought out to the smallest detail. Very clean, beautiful dishes, cozy interior and always delicious food!

Vale's Kaffe serves food that absolutely hits the spot. My wife and I were on a quest for new breakfast places and happily stumbled upon this snug and comfortable venue. It was comfortably warm and inviting. The customer service was simply outstanding - prompt, warm, and genuinely friendly. We're already looking forward to a return visit. Highly recommended!

The egg white omelet frittata was delicious: fluffy egg whites, avocado,and shaved gruyere cheese. Caramel latte was wonderful and can get bacon on side.

Great small place in Union City The atmosphere is cozy and clean the food presentation and taste is great. Definitely worth a stop. The menu is small but great options they also do more stuff on the weekends for brunch. Happy to see more places like this around Here.

I came here with my mom, best friend and her mom while we were on a NYC girls trip. While not in NYC itself, this little place is less than 5 minutes from the Lincoln Tunnel on the Jersey side (we were staying at a hotel nearby). I am gluten free, and I have to say I was very pleased with the chorizo hash side! Often breakfast potatoes give me a headache from cross contamination, but these caused no issues! The owner was very open to meal accommodations, and everyone in my party enjoyed their food (and beverages). If you're looking for a nicer, more homey place to eat breakfast, this is a great place (and I'm sure the lunch here is great too)!

We traveled all day and needed a late afternoon bite. My wife and I shared a bowl of Corn w/ Bacon Soup and a Vale’s Burger. Soup came with a nicely toasted piece of bread slathered with garlic and butter and the Burger had the thinnest, delicate taro chips. Well presented, nice and hot and most delicious. Weekday breakfast and lunch place and Bruch on Weekends. Owner very friendly. They have been open 7 months. The space is small, 25 seats, but really nicely designed. We will return whenever in NYC area.

The food was 11/10. The atmosphere was lovely and personal and the service was great too. We got the burger, eggs Benedict, mint lenonade and chai tea and all of them were so so yummy 😊

Stopped by here because they had good reviews. My husband and I were looking for a breakfast place to grab a quick bite. And we absolutely fell in love with this place the owner was so sweet and tended to us so well. The service was superb and even though the menu looks small the food does not lack in flavor! We ordered lattes and matchas to try and they were also very very good! The place is cozy, everything was clean and organized. And to top it off the fact that the restaurant is named after his daughter really warmed my heart. I wish nothing but the best for them you can tell that they're going to be a great addition into the union city community. TLDR: Amazing food, amazing staff, cozy atmosphere. Stop reading reviews and go in and eat. You'll love this place.

Newly opened kafe with great food. We had the Vale's burger and grilled cheese sandwich. Was really good. And the boss is so friendly and welcome. Lovely space. Will consider spending more time here too. They seem to have plugs! :) French toast looks good, will get it the next time I come

The best brunch in Hoboken is not even in Hoboken. ITS HERE. It is worth driving out of the way I promise. There was plenty of free 2 hour street parking. Came on a Saturday morning and there were plenty of seats, no wait. For 1 side and 2 entrees we paid $36 and the food was perfect. On the French toast, they cut little flowers out of the fruit, it was so pretty but we forgot to take pictures! Will be coming back :)

Vale’s Kafe union city. I always struggle with recommending a place and it gets too crowded or keeping it to myself and losing it, because not enough people know about it. Vale’s is great for breakfast and lunch, delicious food and great coffee. Highly recommend. Sweet place. Good people.

Great place for brunch! We randomly came here based on a quick Google search and all three of us were impressed. Small, family run, generous portions, fresh well prepared food, trendy decor and ambiance, cool music, and good coffees made for a wonderfully enjoyable Sunday brunch. We had the waffles, avocado toast, Benedict, omelet, and the burger (my chef husband said it was one of the best he has had in a long time.) All of it was fantastic! Check the menu before you go...some of these items are available only on weekends. Even the light dressing on the side salad was just perfect. Service was so kind, welcoming, and gracious. We highly recommend you try it!

My husband always orders burger every restaurant he goes. The burger we had at Vale's yesterday was one of the best burger we had in our life. It's just simply WOW. So juicy, tender with layers of flavors! The bun was fluffy like a croissant, chips on the side was interesting, I've never had sunchoke chips before. Overall this is a great place to come back! (Wish it had a weekday lunch special menu so when we work from home we can come get a quick bite 😉)

Found this little gem just a few steps away from our bnb. Everything we had was top notch.. highly recommend the almond croissant and omelette. The service was impeccable and such a warm homely feeling. Must try if you are looking for good food and a good laid back vibe without the frills.

Came here with my daughters and we were very happy with everything from the food, the friendly service and atmosphere. We ordered the truffle potatoes which were unbelievably delicious! I had the prosciutto eggs Benedict and my daughter got the avocado toast which were both amazing! We had a hazelnut croissant at the end that was generously filled with the chocolate hazelnut but you could also taste the warm buttery flavor of the croissant at the same time. This is going to be our new favorite spot to eat...highly recommend this place!
