Absolutely the Best Italian subs anywhere

Truly phenomenal place, loved everything about it. I will definitely go back any day of the week, would 100% recommend this store to anyone.

It was my first time here on Saturday and it won't be my last. The sub sandwiches here were amazing and the employees were very helpful and kind. Everything is homemade and when you walk in the door it just smells Italian!! The employees made you feel welcome as you come through the door starting with the lovely young lady at the gelato stand, which was a nice treat for on the way home. The kind gentleman behind the meat deli told me they make this slow roasted beef in house every Saturday and it was the best! The experience was a "will be back again," from start to finish. I see a couple of disappointed reviews and I have to recommend, that you come back and give it another shot. I'm sure you wont' be disappointed.

I've been enjoying Ventimiglia's Subs since I was a child. My dad would bring home a Ventimiglia's Sub every once in awhile (when he didn't finish it lol) and let me have the rest of it, and now I do the same. It's amazing, delicious, and timeless. If a sub could be nostalgic, Ventimiglia's has it. 10/10 highly recommend, greatest Sub in the Northern Hemisphere.

If I lived by this store I'd be broke and 400 pounds. I didn't get that lucky but I do stop for cannolis and focaccia whenever I'm in the area. I am so tempted to order 50 cannolis before my next trip. One evening I came home with 20 and I ate 18 by breakfast the next day. I was supposed to share but these cannolis turn me into an addict. I have had cannolis from many places and these are the only ones that have this effect on me.

JUST now left this place and was so saddened by how my husband and I were treated. We are looking to buy a home in the area and we were stopping in for a quick sub while passing by because we saw the cute patio to eat. Although the food looked delicious, the staff were far from friendly. Everyone stared at us like we didn't belong (we are a mixed couple). We ended up just getting a couple cookies because we didn't like the vibe towards us. The cashier actually dropped my husband's change in his hand as if she didn't want to dare touch a black man. I don't care how fantastic your food is, bad service ruined it for us. Come on people! It's 2024 and racism needs to end!

I just had the freshest, most delicious Italian sub.

This $10.99 sub was Amaaazingly Delicious, good ratio of meat & cheese on a Tringalis soft sub bun. This is only half of the sandwich 😋, so for me 2 meals with some chips. Tried Bommaritos, tried Ventimiglia (The best so far) next, I will try Angela's. The sub dressing I got on the side, is just Olive Oil & a mix Italian Spices. Got home, I tried their dressing, it was good, but missing something, so I used Italian dressing, it was soooooo good. Got dessert too 😂 😂 it was delicious as well & a product of Italy for under $7.00.

Best Italian sandwich I've ever had. Not just in Michigan! I've tried the Italian, rosemary ham and eggplant, prosciutto, and chicken cutlet. Fresh pasta selection here is the best I've seen too. Owner is always behind the counter with the biggest smile.

Got stared down by this super rude lady working at the counter and than she decided to ignore me and go on her phone? Not sure what I did but it was rude and kinda hurt my feelings

Worst sub ever. Who puts bologna and hot cappicola on an Italian sub. Their dressing is virtually nonexistent. What is it? Oil? Zero flavor. Threw it away. Never again.

Can't find the words to describe the high quality and deliciousness of everything you taste in the store... From the subs to the Italian lunch meat section to the prepared foods to the bakery items. The service was excellent in every area of the store we went to with a staff that paid attention to every detail and were eager to help us. Can't wait to visit again.

Have been going to Ventimiglias for more years than I can remember always phenomenal! I’ve probably had everything in the store! Never disappointed! Subs are by far the best anywhere!

Phenomenal Italian Specialty Market shopping experience! We moved to Michigan after 25+ years of living in Brooklyn NY and have been searching for a great Italian market, and we have found it!!! Owner Tony was there and couldn't have been more hospitable, showing us around the store and giving us some samples to taste! We bought some of their Ravioli and Tony proudly stated that he holds a high standard for the fillings in his stuffed pastas, and I can say they definitely live up to his hype! Very excited to know have a go to spot!!!

True Italian Deli ! All the food was fresh and home made. And they sure know how to make a deli sandwich. Service with a smile as well. I'll be back again and again... PS: Don't forget to get a Gelato as you leave from the youngster out front.. And leave a big tip, they are there working hard, and probably their first job.

Once again, I must say. I cannot believe coming into the store. It's like Italian heaven. I got the lasagna. The chicken soup and some olives send Italian bread and it's worth every bit of $26. I mean, aside from homemade stuff, it brings back the days with my grandmother who lives to be Almost 96 Years old and my mom 87 So keep up the great work guys. The food is awesome. It's always great to visit to get another helping. A good old homemade italian cooking

The best sandwich I've had in michigan so far!!...everything tastes fresh...service is great (I think it's family owned)...haven't tried there other offerings (Coldcuts, Cheeses, and fresh/dried pasta just to name a few) but I'm confident I wouldn't be disappointed....double turkey on hard roll with everything (yes everything 😁) is absolutely amazing!

My husband and I visited the store for the first time today. Small ,organized store with a big variety of Italien food. We bought the Italian sub and a turkey sub,and I was more than satisfied! Plain delicious! Every single item that was on the sandwich was fresh and well prepared. The staff behind the food counter explained what the item was and how to prepare it when I asked about it. I really appreciated that. We will definitely visit again soon.

We have had catering from them before. This time we ordered subs for 125 People. I did the Italian mainly and some Turkey subs too. Everyone Loved the subs. Dressing on the side and also I bought 2 large Anti Pasta salads that were loaded on top, so everyone pretty much got some meat, cheese, etc. when they took some salad. Highly recommend them for subs and salads. They put the subs cut up on a platter for me, presentation was awesome for subs. Thanks. :)

You can't go in there for one thing go in looking for one thing can you come out with 10 other things spending $100.

Little bit of everything italian

Quite literally the best Italian sub in the Metro Detroit area. I’ve been coming here for years and it somehow only seems to get better each time.

The submarine sandwiches here are so good. I highly recommend getting the Italian sub, on a hard roll with hot peppers! Expect a crowd at lunch, but it's not a long wait and is definitely worth it.

They were not that busy. I was there to pick up an order and the guy didn't even give me a chance to add on to my order.

Great Italian market with fresh cooked foods and amazing subs. They have all the goodies from pasta to sauce to olives. I love their subs on hard rolls and need to try some of their fresh Italian classics. Service was great…think of small market with a deli inside making fresh food daily.

Only came for the subs. They are pretty amazing. Everything in the deli counters looks delicious. I may have been sticker shocked by a few products. But it all looks homemade high quailty good.

My husband and shop at Ventimiglia's for a long time. We love the subs, Italain food and cookies! However, today is the first time We are disappointed. Our hard roll Italian subs we made on burnt hard rolls. We were so hungry that we ate until the last one third of the sub. It may be because when I called in the order I was told 20 minutes but I had mentioned that my husband was on his way now and will be there In a few minutes. He was on his way to the airport and was running behind. I didn't mention that, though. See picture. Sincerely,

I don’t see what is good about this place. I got An Italian sandwich with yellow mustard and no other flavors is crazy to me.As well as way over cooked calamari that tasted stale. Fried eggplant that tasted stale. And a chickpea salad with hard chickpeas. Honestly this is extremely bad $80 in the trash.

Been getting subs from here forever, their the best! The only thing I miss is how the hard rolls were actually crispy. The last few times they have been soft like the soft roll, has something changed? Besides that excellent food.

I came here on a whim after googling local Italian markets. I saw a recipe on social media that called for guanciale and hot italian sausage. I drove here without calling ahead to confirm because I knew they HAD to carry both…and they did. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I was in awe of the many Italian goodies and ingredients for your favorite dish. I spent $30 and made one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever cooked. My parents love this place and my dad says he’s been coming here for 20 years. 10/10, I will be back.

Great fresh subs. Had a fresh antipasto salad made on the spot. Very fresh. I placed order over the phone & order was lost.

Best Italian sub I’ve ever had, by a long shot. Got it on a hard roll the “regular way”, plus onions and hot peppers. Devoured before I could get a photo. Entire place smelled amazing and had so much excellent looking food. Excited to make a trip back soon!

Ventimiglia was suggested to me as a great place to get a sub. Its 3 minutes from work so I gave it a try. All I can say is wow! Not only do they have the best Italian subs around, their pasta, bread and premade meals are outstanding! Wine…cheese….sauces….its a little grocery store. If you go there for a sub, plan on going home with much more.

Obviously this place is known for the imported Italian goods, subs and extensive niche deli, but someone needs to tell you that this place makes some of THE best soups I've ever eaten, anywhere. I love soup. You'd never think to go to an Italian market known for its subs to get soup, but now you NEED to. On separate occasions, I've tried 4 different soups (I believe they serve 4 daily, at least on the weekends when I've been there). These included chicken noodle, beef vegetable, okra and sausage + kale. They were all SO good. It's self service, hot and the style is very rustic. Perfectly large chunks of veggies, meat, potato, etc make you feel like you're eating stuff Grandma made just for you. Grab a homemade asiago bread stick at the checkout counter and you're in heaven. Thank me later.

Great place to grab a quick Italian sandwich in the back or some fresh soups. Huge cold cut selection and great fresh pasta. You will love this place because I certainly do.

I personally did not order food here but I had the pleasure of enjoying it. My friend ordered two 6' subs; Italian and turkey. They were so good! Veggies were fresh, turkey was piled on, they had a good blend of seasoning, and they didn't over do it on the veggies like some places do.

Ordered food and got the wrong thing. Owner was kind enough to replace the sandwich.

Best subs around but HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Tell the old boomer that makes the sub to learn respect and understand an order. If you're going to get mad and not understand an order PUT A SYSTEM IN PLACE IT IS NOT MY JOB TO REPEAT MY ORDER OVER AGAIN AND STILL GET IT WRONG. I walked out but will give it a couple months until I'll be back sucks because you guys have the best Italian sub around and an old boomer wanted to be disrespectful

I've been told by a lot of people to come here and try there Italian subs. I ended up getting a sub and desserts everything was great the sub was delicious and the desserts were delectable. I will be back.

Love your subs but very tired of finding hot peppers on my sub after I say no hot peppers it has been at least 3 times in the last 4months. They cause stomach issues for me. brought it up in store before but still an issue.

Turkey sub on hard roll was fantastic! Prices were little high, Italian pasta was a little sour.

The side of fried zucchini we tried was really good. The Italian sub was not what we expected based off of previous reviews. So many layers of bologna and it was all you could taste... yuck.

The best service I’ve ever received from a grocery store. The son was very helpful in teaching me about Sourdough starters and fresh yeast and took the time to explain everything. This is as Italian as it gets in America when it comes to a grocery store!
