The chips and salsa came out first chips were fresh and hot salsa was fresh and tasty you can taste the freshness of the cilantro I had the birria steak tacos my mother had the pork tacos with a side of rice and refried beans it was all very delicious well seasoned very tender meat will go back again

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. I was told my food would be ready in 10 minutes, but I ended up waiting for 30 minutes. When the food finally arrived, everything was burnt and tasted horrible. Definitely not worth the wait or the money. I won't be coming back here again.

We were excited to try this place because of the reviews. I don’t know if they were having an off day but our food was not good unfortunately. The meat was super over done and very dry. It was difficult to eat. I probably won’t come here again.

Josue, our waiter, was so friendly and had great customer service right away. He greeted us kindly and really made our first visit there great. We had birria tacos, guac, and everything was delicious including the salsa. He even asked me if I wanted my salsa more spicy because I told him I enjoyed my food spicy. 10/10 food and owners are amazing! Highly recommend for authentic Mexican food!

This is a hidden gem you don't want to miss, it's tucked away off the main street so you would never know it's there. The staff was super friendly and answered questions/requests with no problem. The food was authentic and absolutely delicious. They serve large portions and almost everything can be made vegetarian. I personally enjoyed how the chips came out hot and were unlimited with the salsa. The churro cheese cake was something I never knew existed and ended up tasting awesome. Would highly recommend and will be returning myself.

Stopped by on a whim! Will come back on a regular basis. We had the fish tacos and a carnitas burrito. The tacos were the best I have had since moving here from the west coast 6 years ago. The fish was fresh and firm and cooked perfectly in a light batter. The coleslaw tasted like it was just made and the sauce was very flavorful. The burrito was filled with rice and cheese and carnitas and onions and all were fresh. The tastes combined to something out of the ordinary and super tasty. The owner/waiter was very helpful and a pleasure to talk with. Add this one to your Want to Go list. See you there.

Just go. Absolutely unbelievable top notch mexican food. I thought Casa Ortega’s burrito couldn’t be matched, but somehow Villa Picante’s is right up there with it, if not better. I’d like to see the chefs battle it out. I’ll volunteer as judge, because I’m just so gracious like that and committed to the community, y’know? :)

If you haven't tried this place and you are in the area..I suggest going! I ordered the small guacamole and chips and a shrimp quesadilla. The chips were freshly made along with the guacamole and the shrimp quesadilla was filled with shrimp and cheese. Highly recommended going!

Hidden gem! Small family owned restaurant with amazing food! Service is quick, with a smile! Menu is extensive! They do not sell alcohol but I honestly didn’t mind it at all! Definitely worth checking out!
