I can easily imagine during busy times, seating won't be available. Nonetheless, this place is great for both food and drinks. Service makes you feel like you are at someones home as it feels very comforting. Very nice staff, and the prices are perfect. It's not some $20 coffee with fancy foam art. What is says on the menu, is exactly what you get. If I am in the area again, I would definitely come back.

Visiting from Los Angeles… had two coffees… hands down the best in San Diego. Mo, the owner, indicated he may sell the business… so you better try this amazing place while it’s still around.

Delightful! Greeted warmly upon arrival. Ordered the Avocado 🥑 Toast. It was a delicious blend of Avocado, cucumber, tomato, feta and I believe pumpkin seeds. Everything was fresh, even the seeds. I will be back.

This place is amazing! Their coffee, chais, acai shake and breakfast sandwiches were really good. They even have ginger shots. The owners are so nice and attentive! 10 stars!!

Very comfortable place. Too many customers but the service is amazing, you feel like you’re really important, so is wonderfull. The taste of the turkey croissant was unbelievable, crunchy and soft. Nice coffee. It’s a small place but nice and quiet.

If you are looking for a cafe that cares about quality, care, and their customers, you need to come to Village. The owner was one of the nicest people I have ever met, so giving and welcoming. They have their own local community that comes all the time for a good reason. The coffee is amazing, I got the village special and it was sooo smooth, delicious, and creamy. Actually one of the best latte’s I’ve ever had. I also got the breakfast sandwich, it was massive and delicious. And lastly I got the acai bowl and it had so much fruit and delicious toppings. Everything is an amazing price for such quality food and drinks. Do them a favor and come in and try it out, you won’t be disappointed:))

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! I got the village latte special iced and it was the best coffee I’ve ever had. The owner and his family are so sweet and chatted with us for a while. When we asked what espresso blend he used, he gave us a container to take home! Wish I didn’t live on the other side of the country so I could come here every day :)

Iced greek coffee was great!! Not too sweet, it was perfect! And the owner was friendly and funny. Would visit again :)

This is a true local cafe leaving you with the feeling of being part of the community. Had a Chai Latte and an Avocado toast. The cucumber in the avocado creme with sprinkled feta on top was a perfect combination.

As a patron of Village Cafe for an extended duration, I can attest that I have never experienced any form of harassment from the owner, nor witnessed any behavior that could be deemed inappropriate. This is my first time coming here and it was an amazing experience. I got the white mocha w/ caramel almond milk and it was so delicious but what blew my mind I ordered the breakfast croissant. I did not expect it to be as big but it is packed with so much flavor (deliciousness). !

I had the village breakfast croisant. Food was amazing. Cortado was amazing. Service was friendly, fast, and with a smile. Nice little hidden gem!

Food is delicious especially the breakfast croissant. Got a hazelnut latte and the chocolate croissant and those were super good as well. The owner is very kind and the setting is clean and casual. Definitely would recommend!

I come to Village Cafe at least once a week since I work nearby and I love it. My favourite chai latte. Depending on the day, I either walk out with an acai bowl, village breakfast, breakfast croissant, or nutella banana croissant. Everything I've tried has become comfort food for me.

Dog-friendly spot! It’s always nice to see that more and more places allow you to bring your lovely pets. Everything was great, from the service to the food and drink. It's a nice local spot to get your breakfast quickly within an affordable budget. Google pin is wrong - you need to walk across the corner to get to the coffee shop.

We were on our way out of San Diego and we wanted to grab some drinks and grub for the road. Moe, the owner, was super friendly and kind. He recommended the Village Special coffee and that's what I got. We also had the banana Nutella croissant and damn, it tasted absolutely decadent! I could tell it was made with a lot of attention. I wish I'd got the Turkish coffee instead because it apparently has cardamom in it (I LOVE everything cardamom 😍). I'll definitely be coming back here the next time I'm in San Diego. A quaint and cozy spot! You always feel like offering extra support to owners who are kind and sweet! ❤️

Skip all the other spots in east village and come here. This place has AMAZING coffee and food and all at a great price. The owner is from Lebanon and is extremely friendly and hard working. I got the Turkish coffee and croissant, but I brought my puppy there and he was so friendly to her and gave her a lot of treats. It’s such a cozy and quaint atmosphere, and one of my favorite coffee and food spots in downtown. He’s extremely passionate about coffee and customer service. There’s a lot of trendy spots here but don’t have as great of quality or service and aren’t worth the $$$$. I’ll be coming here way more regularly from now on!

I got the Home Village Cafe coffee with oat milk hot, the Home Village Cafe coffee with oat milk iced, and a chai tea all in the same day. I came back for more in the same day it was so good! The chai tea is the best I’ve ever had! It has a smoky or wood fired taste that is so unique and good!

Skip the big queue at the places down the road and head here for a more intimate or takeaway option. Delicious Avocado toast with feta, and a cucumber tomato salsa. I added an egg and it was wonderful. This is a small friendly place with lovely friendly staff.

Lovey little coffee shop about two blocks from my hotel. I ordered a latte to-go and it was spot on! Would’ve gone back if I didn’t also want to try another spot.

The owners were very friendly. The food and coffee were both great. I had the breakfast sandwich with turkey and the village cafe special which I highly recommend. It’s rare when you go to a cafe and both the food and coffee are perfect.

It doesn't look special from the outside, but inside it's quite inviting. The coffee and cheese Danish were delicious. However, the star of our visit was the ham breakfast sandwich. To quote my teen "It was the best I've ever had!" Don't pass them by!

Village Cafe has one of the best matcha lattes I ever had. They provide delicious vegan options and are passionate about their job. The ambience is cozy and clean. The owner and employees are really kind and welcoming. I’m definitely going back. I got the iced matcha latte with oat milk and rose water and the vegan sandwich. I had a great time there :)

This place is a true gem in the middle of Downtown San Diego. The food is delicious and the coffee is some of the best I’ve had. It is a very tiny but yet cozy cafe in downtown San Diego. I like the setting and it is very comfortable for a cup of coffee or to do some works. Moe, the owner of the cafe, taught me some new coffee knowledge - some are his creation! I tried the Turkish coffee and WOW - that's very special. I love it.

Wrapping up breakfast here now and had to write a review before I forgot! Visiting SD for the day. After reviewing every 5-star breakfast spot in the area, we settled on Village Cafe because of how fresh the ingredients looked. The vibe is super cute and thoughtful. Outlets at the small albeit comfortable tables and cozy holiday decor. The food and coffee (and oat matcha for me) was exceptional. Complimentary biscuit with drink orders are a nice touch. We ordered the avocado toast and the acai bowl. We killed it! So fresh and tasty. Didn't leave a crumb. Lol. I also overheard the owner offer another customer the option to text for her order pick up next time. The barista offered us water mid-meal. Wish the world all exhibited this level of service and kindness! This would be my daily breakfast spot if I lived in the area. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Worth trying just to support this worthwhile small business! Loved this spot!
