Date night, first timers… We were not disappointed. The table-side salad service is an experience in itself, and the Caesar salad is authentic and lives up to the hype. Vince was personable and really cares about the customers that come to his father’s place. A rare gem. Will absolutely be back.

I had the greatest experience with my wife at Vicente’s Restaurant last night. The staff was friendly and the food was amazing. We both enjoyed the table side Caesar salad presentation with Vincent and our server was so kind and attentive. The chef and kitchen deserve recognition for the delicious entrees and I can’t wait to return with the entire family on our next visit. 5 stars

Took yet another trip over to Vincente's this time with friends on their first time visit to get them to experience this dining experience. The couple love Caesar Salads and Bananas Foster so it was right up their alley and my information and description of the restaurant was "on point" according to them. They remarked about the "entertainment" factor making the dining experience that much better considering the quality of the food. They thoroughly enjoyed the salad, entrees and the Bananas Foster. Thanked us for the dinner get together and indicated they'll be back. As usual the food was impeccable as was the service and drinks. The three brothers are carrying on the Vincent Mancari traditions and quality without missing a beat.

We went to Vincente's for our 30th Anniversary. The Ceasar salad made at our table was fantastic and delicious. The entree was the best. And for our Anniversary we were given a surprise piece of cake. We would love to go back.

We always have a great meal at Vincente's. Can't get a better Caesar salad anywhere!

A big shout out to my cousins Vinny, Danny and Tommy Mancari for another fabulous dinner Friday night at Vincente’s in celebration of the recent engagement of our daughter Emilee and her fiancée Ny’ree Williamson. Such a wonderful evening of fun and fellowship with the two of them and Ny’ree’s parents Andre and Tina. The service, food and atmosphere were all superb! We absolutely loved Vinny’s table-side presentation of cesar salad. The entrees we each ordered were all Molto bene! Always love visiting Vincente's. It's one of our favorite restaurants. When we have family visiting from out of town, we usually take them here. Great for the food, service, and fun (with the Caesar salad cheese throw).

Our issues are only with the food. Service was very good. They recognized it was my wife's birthday with a thin slice of pound cake with a candle in it. The free flounder appetizer was bland and fish was over cooked. My wife's Broccoli in a cream sauce was drowning in way too much sauce. Chef salad was just OK. My steak was cooked as ordered but was bland. My side of linguini with red sauce lacked depth of flavor. My Italian Wedding soup was good as were the rolls. Was hoping for more. Will not be going back.

My girlfriend recommended this restaurant to me, and I’ve seen my husband‘s cousin recommend it many times, but we’ve never gone. This was my husband‘s birthday so based on their website and her recommendations, we thought it might be a good place to go. My son‘s girlfriend was very hungry when we got there, and I was happy that they gave you a little bread and a piece of crusted fish as a little appetizers at no charge. We all got the Caesar salad, which was delicious. We got the Markowitz the field, Roma crab cakes and the salmon. First time getting the Bananas Foster and what a treat it was. We all enjoyed our meal very much. ( ok truth here-I ordered the spinach as a side but was too busy enjoying the main entree to eat it.) But it was all very, very good; prices were very reasonable for the quality and type of food you got. Vincent has been been in business since 1972 so you know they must be doing something right for everyone to come back. We’ll be going back as well

Always a great experience when dining out at Vincente's! Table side making of the Caesar Salad is one of the best parts of the meal. We had a party of 6 and everyone loved their meal. Service was top-notch too. Thank you Vincente's! We'll be back soon!

We had a very good experience here and would go back! Food was delicious, service was great, and the cook is entertaining and makes things in middle of the room. They can also make some meals that aren't on the menu - my husband asked for a bacon carbonara and he really enjoyed it. They also give you a complimentary bread with cheese and piece of fish, and additional complimentary bread if you ask. I highly recommend the caesar salad, which is famous there, and they make it in front of you, and also the banana foster cheesecake or ice cream, which they make the sauce in front of you. Highly recommend this place!

As usual, great experience. They always treat us like family. From the stories about the family history to the delicious food, this place never fails to impress. The salad and desert tableside presentations are worth the price of admission. Any time we travel through town, we make this a must stop.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Vincente’s in Pike Creek Valley, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the service was nothing short of amazing. The staff was incredibly attentive and genuinely cared about making our evening special. They went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Now, let's talk about the highlight of the night—the Banana Foster. It was simply divine! The presentation was spectacular, with the dessert being flambéed right at our table. The combination of caramelized bananas, rich sauce, and the perfect hint of rum was a treat for the senses. Each bite was a delightful blend of flavors that left us wanting more. If you're looking for a place with exceptional service and delicious food, Vincente’s is the place to be. Highly recommended!

This was our fist time here. The table side Caesar salad is a must. Yearly on our Cabo trips we always get table side Caesar and this by far surpassed anything we have had in Mexico. The quality and taste were superb!! The Veal Parm was excellent and perfectly prepared. The service was exceptional as you are made to feel as though you are the most important customer they have. Everyone is friendly and went above and beyond to make this a wonderful dining experience. We are forever patrons. A+++

Third time, still amazing. Vinny said his dad Billy a restaurant around a Caesar salad, and you’ll believe it after eating the Caesar here. Amazing. Had steak au poivre for the second visit in a row. Order it for the steak, but the mushrooms are amazing, too.

This is one of our favorite restaurants. We go here about once every two months.

Food is always excellent here. The complimentary app was delicious. They have to have the best Ceasar Salad I have ever eaten. Prepared right in front of you. Everything is always fresh and the service is always top notch.

I’ve been dining here for a long time. Today was the last time. The hostess was busy socializing instead of backing the wait and kitchen staff. Waitress forgot to bring a drink for a member of the party. Later, the pasta and meatballs dish was brought out with no pasta. She failed to notice. Also, hair was in my ladies pasta. My chicken piccata was basic and edible. I asked for extra capers. There were none and the pasta was overdone. No one returned to the table to check on us after the dishes were dropped off. Finally, I chasing staff down the hostess to get a box and the check. I was offered a replacement dish for my lady. She declined.. It was removed from the bill. Bad overall experience compared to the way it used to be. The owner and hostess were socializing instead of backing up the staff. I used to love this spot.

This was my 3rd time here and the past few times I enjoyed the visit and the food- however this time not so much. There were a lot of flies landing flying around and landing on the food we were eating. When the table side Cesar salad was brought out the person that was putting it together kept coughing - wish he had a mask on. T And the food quality just wasn’t as good as before. We paid $107 for Cesar salad, two entrees, glass of wine and a cocktail. I don’t think we will be back. he waitress we had was very good and always checked in on us.

We have been passing by this restaurant for over 20 years and never tried it. What a MISTAKE that was! We were pleasantly surprised with the food quality and portions, the outstanding service, and the low prices! Having made a reservation for an early Friday evening, we were seated immediately in this traditional neighborhood italian restaurant. That was about the only thing that was traditional. The servers were very attentive, friendly and professional throughout the meal. They brought us an unexpected house-special appetizer, compliments of the chef, of a potato-chip crusted flounder. A great start. The table-side preparation of the caesar salad was not only interesting, but the quality superb! Very rare to see a table-side preparation of anything today, but this was the best! Our dinners consisted of a huge lobster tail stuffed with lump crabmeat that was prepared perfectly (with a side of angel hair flat pasta in butter and garlic - a great combination) and veal parmigiano. The veal was very tender with a crisp crust and a tasty red sauce. We were so stuffed that we had to pass on dessert, but are looking forward to a return visit soon! We highly recommend this one! Don't be like us and wait - you won't be disappointed.

We traveled to Wilmington from Tennessee — we chose Vincente’s for dinner and were very impressed. The food was excellent, the service was impeccable, and the overall feel of the restaurant was warm and cozy. We would definitely recommend it to travelers coming from out of town.

It was our first time there and we had been wanting to try it for awhile. The hostess was so rude! Not sure I’ve ever encountered a hostess as rude as her! Then the service of the waitress was mediocre. Was looking forward to finding a new spot so close to our home but we wont be back.

This was our first time here and I’m hoping we just came on a bad night . The hostess was clearly frustrated that the seating system was giving her a hard time. Us and a table of 6 came in a few mins a part for our reservations, party of 6 a little after. She did express that everything was fresh so to bare with them. Our server came like 5 ish mins after sitting and said he would be right with us. Cool no problem. Another five mins he came back got our drink order and we were ready for our food order but he had walked away. Came back another ten ish mins later with the drinks so we could order. We got one soup and one Cesar salad to split. One hour and ten mins from the time we sat (no exaggeration) we were served our salad and soup. The salad thing was cool and the man was so sweet and knowledgeable. Another 35 mins later we got our food and immediately asked for boxes because at this point we had been here for two hours. Given we had our boxes I would assume the next question would be if we wanted our check or dessert. Neither was asked, and we waited another 10 minutes for our server to come back to ask for the check. The entire time our server checked on us twice once before our food even came, and once five mins before our food came. Never once apologizing for the wait or updating us on time.(I was a server for many years and it’s proper etiquette) I would like to mention that the party of 6 who sat after us was already done with their meal before we were even served ours. I ordered the chicken Parmesan which although the presentation and smell was Devine the water from the noodles made the chicken mildly soggy and when I lifted the chicken there was so much water under. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his chicken Marsala. I bet on a good day and better server this place would’ve been amazing.

Very disappointing. The only thing that was great was the Caesar Salad. Something was weird with the Chicken Parm from a previous visit. The Veal Parm was like a from a frozen dinner box. Unfortunately would not go back here again.

Always an excellent experience.. love this restaurant and the people. A definite must try is the infamous ceasar salad. My friend ordered the Markowitz- veal, sirloin, lobster, shrimp, scallops....wow perfect dish if u want to try a little of everything. I had the blackened scallops with eggplant rolatine...super yummy. I'd be remissed if I didn't tell u about the best, the best martinis in town. This place is so amazing.

My 10 year old son and I had the best dinner. We had table side Caesar Salads, fettuccini Alfredo and table side Bananas Foster. It was perfect!

I tried to introduce two people to this restaurant on Friday. I have big regrets. Generally this place rocks. But I completely wasted my money on this instance. We got the flamed steaks excited to see a little table side service and enjoy one of the most expensive menu items. They did the flamed steak at the complete wrong table, we didn’t even get to see it, and were really looking forward to it. Now for the worst part it was the worst steak anyone at the table had ever tasted. The amount of pepper on this made it nearly inedible. Our mouths were on fire because of how much pepper there was lol. We ate somewhere else afterwards because we were so dissapointed for our friends birthday. I want to give this place another try but now I’m scared. Too much $ to get a poor experience and steak Update: All three people at the table tried the steak and found it inedible. I’ve had a ton of different kinds of steaks including peppered steaks before and none were this bad. Sure it was indeed tender. But I think everyone at the table not enjoying says all that needs to be said. Again I want to stress that I actually like this place, so to have one bad experience sucked but hey the next one could be better.

Great Experience and food. I have been coming here for over 20 years. Ask for the walking menu. Don’t see what you want, ask. We did an off menu Meatball appetizer with chef suggested mango habanero sauce, knock your socks off good! Also did off menu Flounder Piccata with mushrooms and Angel hair pasta. Also fantastic. Don’t overlook this spot. My favorite in the Wilmington area.

I had the veal piccata casino, and my friend had white sauce clam linguini. We both enjoyed our food. The caesar salad was also delicious.

The good: The food was delicious. The Caesar salad was excellent. On the weekend the brother that doesn’t own the restaurant makes the Caesar salad now. He told us about how he learned to make it from his father. I really enjoyed hearing the story and watching him make it up close. It made up for the slow service. The bad: The service was extremely slow. It took 30+ minutes to get our drinks ordered and served and our orders taken. They did bring out the complimentary appetizer before that but it would have been great to have at least my drink order filled. This was a birthday celebration that I did notate on the reservation. Had 2 of my friends not been there with us we probably would have left because sitting for 30 mins with no acknowledgment is really pretty unacceptable. I understand being busy and short staffed but I did very politely mention to the hostess prior to that no one had waited on us. She came over and said oh you have the complimentary appetizer and said they are very busy. She should have at least taken our drink orders. Also my partner ordered the surf and turf. Online it says filet and lobster. He got filet and crab cake. He did not say anything because we had waited so long to get orders placed and to get the food. The steak was cooked exactly as he asked but a crab cake is not the same as lobster. And had he known this he wouldn’t have ordered the crab cake appetizer. The waitress was also very nervous acting. She was super nice and sort of attentive just nervous and slow. We gave her a 22% tip but she would have gotten 30% had she done a better job. Overall it was a nice evening but with annoyances that I hope the restaurant sees and understands isn’t acceptable especially when a reservation is notated as a birthday celebration. I will be back but not for any type of celebration with friends.

The food was very good but service was very slow. We had reservations at 6. We’re seated at a small table (I know, I should have spoken up). We ordered a glass of wine, Caesar salads and our entrees. 20 minutes later I got my wine and it was an hour before table side salad was made. It was good though. Then another 45 minutes until entree. Would have considered dessert but it probably would have been another hour!!

Don’t spend the money. Service was slow and the filet was the worst I’ve ever had. Took one bite and pushed it aside.

Probably one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to haven't had anything in there that I really didn't like yet if you go there it's a must that you order the Caesar salad they make it right at your table it's a heck of an experience I'm not going to give it away the bartender is on point as soon as you get somewhere near the bottom of your drink he's already there to see if you need a new one it's a must go to place

Finally was able to get back out to Vincente's for a sorely needed date night with the spouse. Was once again treated to a wonderful dining experience with the table side Caesar salad and Bananas Foster. 9 oz. Filet with Scallops and Shrimp was outstanding... Was pleasantly surprised to see the third Mancari brother in the restaurant who handled the tableside preparation and entertainment. Had not seen him since the family's restaurant was on 4th street in Wilmington. The "Three Stooges" back together was inspiring. The patriarch and matriarch are both looking down on them as they continue to carry on the rich Vincente's traditions.

Crab cakes were very disappointing; all you tasted was Old Bay and very few lumps of crap, mostly filler creating a mushy texture. I literally broke out in a sweat after one bite, could not eat. Luckily I had a side of pasta and I split my Husbands dinner. I have been going here since Lincoln Street. I do not think We will be returning.

Absolutely the best way to enjoy an evening, a wonderful, delicious, dinner with family, surrounded by a great family run restaurant. All 4 different diners, appetizers, and WOW, that Ceaser Salad. YOU, WILL, NOT, find a better place in the area to have dinner.!

Normally the service is outstanding however, this time is was just good. I do know that they were shorthanded. We asked for refills on two sodas and each time it took over 10 minutes to get them. My friend normally doesn't drink the water but was having to since it took so long to get the sodas.

Very nice restaurant. Ambiance was nice, service was excellent. We got the history of making the Caesar salad at the table, it was fun and most importantly delicious!! The cocktails were great too!

What a lovely surprise! The exterior of this restaurant does not tell the real story. The inside is warm and inviting and the food is the star, delivered by friendly, helpful staff. We had the caesar salad, a fun experience, and my husband had the Berkewitz, a rich combination of steak, seafood and veal. I had the veal piccata with a requested addition of crab (plus just $8). Both were outstanding and fairly priced. We finished with their scrumptious signature galiano cake, soaked in rum sauce and topped with real whipped cream. There are two large rooms and a bar area, all busy on a Friday night. For a quieter yet fun experience, ask for the "overflow" room to the right. We'll be back!

How have we not gone here sooner? My wife and I decided to (finally) give Vincente’s a chance after all these years, and we’re both so glad we did. From start to finish, every bit of the meal was delicious, the service was top-notch, and we left feeling like we have a new favorite place for dinner. What we had: - Andouille-stuffed shrimp: perfect balance of ingredients. Andouille could easily overpower shrimp, but it didn’t. - Baked mozzarella and marinara: delicious, though probably the least exceptional part of the meal—simply because I feel like I’ve had it elsewhere. Sauce was outstanding, though. - Caesar salads: when is the last time you were still talking about a Caesar salad more than 5 minutes after you ate it? Simply put, these are the best we’ve ever had. Everything is made table-side, and they’re even using their own croutons. Like the shrimp, everything was in such perfect balance. And Vinny clearly had a blast preparing it for us—we enjoyed watching him work, too. - Fettucini Alfredo with chicken: my wife had this, as it’s her go-to when trying a new Italian place, and she loved it. It’s amazing how many restaurants serve something like this with barely-seasoned chicken or flavorless Alfredo—not the case here. The chicken was lightly dredged and seasoned properly, and she enjoyed it very much. - Pappardelle with shrimp and scallops: this was my entree, and it was incredible! A delicious Parmesan cream sauce, perfectly cooked shrimp and scallops (very tender but with plenty of structural integrity). - Bananas foster over cheesecake: my wife had this for dessert, and I stole some, and it’s one of the most delicious desserts I’ve ever had. The depth of flavor in the sauce is ridiculous. - Tiramisu: My favorite dessert, so I had to try it. It has another proportion of cake/lady fingers to cream than what you can get at Tony’s Cafe (my personal favorite tiramisu), but it was still one of the best I’ve had. Thanks for an amazing meal! We’ll be back!

Great evening. Tableside caesar salad followed by tableside bananas foster for dessert. A great place for old school Italian in a friendly, fun environment.

I hesitate to write this review, as Vincente’s is and has been Northern Delaware’s best kept secret for years.. ( i.e. I enjoy the fact that I can still get a reservation for a Friday night dinner when I call on Wed!) Brothers Danny, Tommy and Vincent excel in their roles keeping old-school service and awesome food quality alive and well at Vincente’s. Their Dad would be so proud.. Along with the theatrics provided when their signature Caesar salad is prepared table side, you will not find a better tasting classic salad outside of Italy! Folks, I literally crave this salad.. I have never had a miss with any of their entrees, with the Rib-eye au Poivre and Veal Louisa being my personal favorites. But make sure you at least get a side of pasta- the gravy is authentic and delicioso👍👍 They also provide a simple small complimentary Hors d’oeuvre that is so delicious, my wife chose to order it as an entree last night! Treat yourself to a rare dining experience and visit the brothers, you will NOT be disappointed!
