Always loved there food since I was a kid . Best rice in town. Best crab cheese as well. The chicken and rice soup too . I don't think there is anything they make that isn't amazing . Please never leave .

The service was polite but the food was disgusting. Like bad even by Flint standards.

I wanted to try this place after moving to the Davison area. We ordered sweet and sour chicken and chicken lo mein. The sweet and sour chicken was stuffed in a box with the sauce in it already (not that upsetting). The fried rice that came with the sweet and sour chicken tasted only of soy sauce. The worst part of it is the chicken lo mein was with boiled plain chicken and SPAGHETTI NOODLES. Would not recommend.

There dinner is always on point and great prices

Overall, food was good. Some were kinda bland but we liked most of what we ate. The combo plates fried chicken was prepared well and the egg drop soup had good flavor. I felt the egg rolls were also made well, but were the part of the meal where the flavor was kinda bland. You can dine-in and the staff was very friendly. The price for the combo meals is just under $10 and we got two meals out of it. Great deal!

There aren't many Chinese restaurants that are sit-down anymore so we decided to come in to try this one in our neighborhood. The building is quite old with only half the dining room having seating. Service was adequate and the food was fresh and tasty. Plenty for one person. Meals come with soup, egg roll and tea. I ordered the hot and sour soup extra. It had a lot of ingredients in it and was quite good. The main dishes were even better. My favorite was the egg roll. We probably will come here again. Don't forget to buy some almond cookies on the way out. They are delicious.

Tried dine to see how it was… freezing cold in the restaurant. Was told ( when asked) thermostat keeps shutting down. Felt like eating in an ice shanty! Requested a usual meal…wanted egg drop soup….was told too expensive to have around for dinner time…”come back during lunch”. Usually had been offered/given tea….NOTHING! Sad to say really bad experience. The server honestly didn’t care..nor did the owners ( I felt)! Too…it was a bit icy outside…told server about ice on the stairs….they did nothing! After coming to this business for over 30 years…..NO MORE!

They have changed the rice and it's just plain brown rice. No pork, egg, onion, green onion or sprouts. Just bland plain rice. What happened Wah Nam? Pls go back to how things were before.

I took 3 friends with me that have never been there we are all going back. I also brought Take out home for my husband, He loves it too... There was another couple there that have been going for years we all chatted like we came together. It's the friendliest place I've been to in a long time. Thank you for your service.

I was here for the first time 2 weeks ago. I had dinner (Hung sho gai)with Wan ton soup and my fiend had beef and broccoli. She had the egg drop soup.. All dinners come with soup,, egg rolls, and rice.. The Wan Ton soup was so good I couldn't stop thinking about how good it was. This restaurant is a hidden gem. It sits behind the gas station at the corner of Richfield and Genesee, you can't really see it until you pull in the drive. They do alot of take out but the restaurant is charming with plenty of room. Booths line both sides of the dining from but they do have tables for more than 4. The food is exceptional, as I had a big bowl of Wan ton and a side of chicken fried rice on my 2nd trip. Worth your time. My new favorite Chinese restaurant. Please if you're in the area give them a try.

Have loved this place for over two decades. Thank you for all the amazing food you have served me. The chicken and rice soup is great! I love the egg rolls. I especially appreciate ordering my food extra spicy and actually getting spicy food! As always, they only have one person in the lobby covering but he's super quick and polite, no complaints!

Hard to find good fried rice that is not soggy and over cooked.. Thos was some good fried rice. Will definitely be there again..

Large portions, great prices, ive been coming here for years because its close by, but have never had any complaints. They have really good pork fried rice that we substitute the regular fried rice with and i get the warm sweet&sour with our meals. Its a bit thicker.

Did Wah Nam change hands in the last few years? Food is awful. Used to be my favorite place for sweet and sour chicken eggrolls and chicken fried rice. It is nothing like it used to be. It's sad

Great Chinese made quickly with decent size portions and reasonable pricing.

Pho is my favorite dish, ever. I know good, authentic pho. The people who say the pho is good there, have never had good pho. There are ticks in their pho. The "beef" has a terrible taste to it. The bean sprouts were the only decent thing. Hubby and son ordered rice, and it was pure mush. The best part is the service, and that's because we were the only people there.. On the bright side, the young man who was serving was alright! He was considerate and attentive, aside from the fact he wasn't busy. 0/10 though guys.

Phenomenal Asian and Asian American cuisine. Owners are wonderful folks and always cook up delicious Thai/Laotian/Vietnamese specialties for me. A true family run business.

8/12/22... DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.. OMG.. Got SweetSour Chicken/ Chicken Fried Rice/Crab Ragoon..Chicken Egg rolls.. GROSS! Chicken and Rice were saturated in Sauce.. Horrible..The Rice Was MUSH.. The ENTIRE Meal was Horrible.. Threw it Away.. What a SHAME..! DONT GO HERE.. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE..!

We absolutely love this place! I have been going here regularly since high school and my kids are now grown and grew up coming here all the time. The food is excellent the staff is friendly and it is our absolute favorite!

We were the only people in the restaurant so of course the service was good. The food was average.

Worst Chinese food I've ever had!!! Disgusting!!!!!

Working in the area, and decided to try this place. The food is not good like many others have reviewed. I choked down what I could stand only because I paid almost 12 dollars for a lunch. Whoever was taking orders and cooking was friendly. I decided to order sweet and sour chicken, figured it was a safe thing to order, but it wasn't good at all. Egg roll was very pungent, and only was able to take 2 bites of it. I personally won't return.

Worst service i have ever had. Crab cheese was gross. Tables were dirty.

I was an hour away from home and I just wanted a nice place to relax and have a meal before driving. I went at 8pm and the place was dead silent. They still served me and let me dine in and have a warm cup of tea and some pho. Incredibly friendly and accommodating.

Same good food I remember from my teenage years in the late 80's, the almond chicken and pork fried rice is very good.

IMO, best Chinese food in the NE area of Flint. Dining room decor is simple, nothing fancy. The food is done fast and right.

Coming from the perspective of so many oriental restaurants being similar and bland, Wah Nam's food was a surprising up lift. Many of the dishes you could pick out from many other locations, but with a kick of care in cooking they were elevated and stand out from the rest. Ask the chef for a side of her in house chili oil or paste to add some heat if you want a spicy treat. We are early in the revamp post COVID at the time of writing, so the place was pretty empty. Dish ordered was the sesame chicken.

It was wonderful having found you open for restaurant seating and take out. You did not mind my pulling my mask off. Food superb very much good for your soul. Thank You.

Great food with huge portions from the combination menu. We all took food home... Standard Chinese American fare. Jasmine tea capped off wonderful meal. Decor and condition of restaurant are run down, no windows. Nonetheless, good locale offers meeting space with Chinese fare available.

This has always been one of my families favorite places - since I was a teenager. The food and service still seem great - although I fear how much longer they will be around. Seems like every time I've gone lately to get takeout - when I get there I'm the only customer in the place. Used to be a really busy dine-in restaurant.

Disappointed that they no longer make shrimp toast but they stopped about 12 years ago the menu has gotten twice as large and varied between traditional and vietnamese. The spicey oil made my dish and the steak cow was delicious.

Typed in pho near me, and this place popped up. They did not dissapoint. Large bowl portions, delicious bone broth made from scratch, Fresh bean sprouts and delicate noodles. Will definitely be coming back. Might make it a regular spot for me and my mom. Great job!!

Wait staff was very friendly, made sure we were taken care of. Food was fresh and hot. I had the General Tso combo and my husband had the Sesame Chicken combo. Egg drop soup was great, absolutely loved the egg rolls, all around a great experience. And you can't beat the prices! Definitely would recommend!

Excellent and innovative Asian cuisine - a local gem. Under management of a new family who works tirelessly to deliver great family meals at a fair price. Non-GMO, no MSG - they gladly customize your order for no or little cost. I don’t eat Chinese or Thai anywhere else in town! Yummy stuff 🙂

Revision: Wah Nam's has came under new management. The atmosphere is still as good as ever, but the recipes for the food has changed. I feel like the fried rice is not nearly as good as it was before and the sweet and sour chicken is a little worse. Will be looking for a new Chinese spot. Sad to say --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Very nice atmosphere with very good sweet and sour chicken! Don't forget to request complementary hot tea. It is excellent.

Fast and friendly service with all the typical Chinese-food dishes. There is plenty of seating inside and they offer take out as well. They are open on most federal holidays when other restaurants are closed, which is nice.
