A cozy place for a date night or for a group. Service was great as well as the food. Only issue was I ordered a side of fried rice but what I got was just rice blended with soy sauce.

Pretty good tasting food, however the portions for the price were not enough and they forgot my wife's soup.

An average, a typical Americanized sushi and rolls.... more like sub par...

Not worthy of the asking price, as I'm sure you'd agree, too. Service: 2/5 While my rating my seem unfair for the servers whom had worked that day. It still reflects overall quality of service I'd received. Visited this establishement on Sunday 6/16/2024. I'd arrived at the restaurant around 6:30pm, placed my order in by 6:40pm. Food didn't come out until 7:29pm exactly. Between this time, my server had checked on me twice. Once to bring me my salad. Second time when I had ordered a beer around 7:05pm... just to kill some time. Between that and the arrival of food, no one came by to check on me. Even when my beer glass/can was empty. Because of the terrible delays in bringing what I'd ordered, I feel they were trying to avoid eye contact... or any interaction for that matter. Also, my server didn't understand what ginger was. I don't blame the server, however, I do blame the owner/head waitress whom seems to the owner/operator of the restaurant for not training the server with the basics. Almost forgot to mention, when I ordered aforementioned beer, I had asked for a Sapporo. When I asked for a second one, the same server had brought me a Sapporo Black instead... and ensuring me that it's the same one I'd ordered previously. What? Atmosphere: 2/5 Some people may say, "Hey, the restaurant was probably really busy. Thus, why they had brought out your late." Well, you see. I had taken a picture of the dining area. See for yourself and tell me how "FULL" the restaurant is. Mind you, most of these people still sitting were on their way out. By the time I got done with my plate of food, there were only 2 tables plus the same people on the sushi bar. The decor is old. Unorganized. And the space is restrictive. My chair was a bit too low compared to the table. But I guess that is all subjective. They do offer a "Happy Hour" for drinks, but it's only good until 6:30pm. Overall, while I wasn't execting a great experience, but I'd sure hoped it would be good enough for me to visit regularly as it is the only sushi place near where I live temporarily. But after spending $50+ for a dinner, I'm more than disappointed to say that I would not be back at this establishment again. PS. Don't be surprised to see they ask for minimum 20% on tips when you pay with credit card.

This place is great. Definitely a must for all sushi and steak lovers 🤤. All round excellent experience. Definitely will be back soon. To many great choices and not a big enough appetite to try it all in one visit.

I've been here twice this month, and both times, it has been great. the sushi is delicious, I'm starting to think you can't order anything bad here. But the MUST try is the crispy tonkotsu pork curry.

Food and service was good! Sushi was fresh. But let me tell you, the MANGO MOCHI was hands down the best mochi icecream I’ve ever had.

I respect the work ethic, courtesy, and experience with our waitress. She didn't waste any time to serve my family on our first visit. Although it wasn't as busy the afternoon we arrived, she fufilled her obligation of service. Her conduct and professionalism is exactly how every waitress/waiter should be if he or she wants to be tipped well. The food was made promptly and tasted delicious. Will definitely revisit in the near future.

Hello! I ordered the chicken and steak entree with mushroom soup and salad. It comes with just one shrimp sauce and I’m assuming sauce for the steak. This is my first time trying this restaurant and I ordered takeout. I paid about $25 for the meal. My overall impression is that I’m not impressed. I thought this place would be giving Miyabis but it was really giving Seasons of Japan. My chicken was extremely dry but the sauce was decent so that helped a little. I ordered the steak medium it was more so on the medium well side but had a decent taste. I threw the salad away it did not look appeasing at all…truly was giving the pre-mixed salad out the bag in a produce section. I’m a food enthusiast and truly enjoy trying different restaurants! I would rate my experience a 5/10. I would not come back or recommend.

Food is good. I enjoy the homemade ginger sauce more than anything they offer. Sushi is skimpy.

I got the teriyaki vegetable which consists of broccoli cabbage, onions, mushrooms and carrots. The dish was pretty much rice and cabbage with four pieces of broccoli, very thin sliced carrots almost undetectable. .. pretty disappointing but the flavor was there. We asked the server if there was any happy hour or specials. she said there is no happy hour and showed us a little bit of a special that was on the menu .. she had no knowledge of the wine specials, beer specials or sushi specials. Because of that lack of knowledge... we spent $15.00 more than we should have. Big mistake as a server. We did leave her a tip but not as much as we would love to have.

Oil used on crab wontons was rancid. We had stopped on a road trip for sushi lunch and it has good reviews. But imagine my susprise when the first review I read said the frying oil was bad. Another surprise was that review was 3 years ago so why no current reviews? And it looks like oil not changed in 3 years?? Also the dinnerware and interior could have been cleaner. I gave it 2 stars as the shashimi was ok and they had Ashai beer but not a place to recommend.

Promptly seated by a friendly efficient waitress. Food hot, fresh and flavorful. Will definitely be back.

Ordered delivery let me say 78 dollars for sushi i could get at a cheap buffet is ridiculous! I will never order again from this place, the dumplings were do small and bland, the sushi was like convenience store grade and the soup was disgusting no flavor tasted like tap water

We were craving a Japanese type of dish, but the place a friend recommended was closed till 5. We found this place highly recommended on Google and took a chance. We arrived shortly after they had opened for lunch. Lots of stuff on the menu looked delish, but the table close had a bowl of Ramen that I couldn't resist...so I held back the urge to steal his and ordered my own. My wife wanted tofu and when she went to order, the waitress asked if she had ever tried it extra crispy. My wife said yes and she had a very delicious meal. I dove into the bowl of Ramen which had pork, a boiled egg, imitation lobster maybe , sprouts etc. I couldn't finish it all, but enjoyed every bite. We also had an order of spring rolls that were the lightest crispiest we have ever had. The other customer said he thought the Ramen here was better than any in the Savannah area and I will have to agree. It is not to be missed, but I think all their food would be very good. The waitress was great and the restaurant was decorated nicely ..and very clean. Not too bad to get in and out of with high Pooler traffic, but worth the fight to eat here

3.5 stars rounded up to 4. we tried this place years ago and weren’t impressed, but we finally decided to give it another try. we were the only people there at 6:00 besides maybe one or two other people so that was concerning, but the waitress was very nice and we had a much better experience than the first time so im glad we gave it a second chance. the egg roll was delicious! decent portion for $11. my only complaint is the chicken in my chicken teriyaki was kinda dry and had a weird texture going on

Great sushi. Best sushi in Pooler. Same owner as "Kanpai". My favorite is the Thom Roll. The restaurant itself is a little small and not somewhere I'd eat with a large group.

Food and vibe are excellent, but the service was really bad. I don’t know why elegant and rude people work in hospitality fileds. Lol it is quite funny. Their service is pooooor then want to get tips a lot.

Fresh and a solid variety on the menu. Was out of some authentic sushi like uni and ama ebi but the broth on the soba was one of best. Service was also very nice upbeat and inviting

Wow! Very impressive. Extensive and creative menu. Large portions. Great prices. Excellent and courteous service. Booking the reservation via Google was flawless. Lunch box was excellent: Tempura was perfect and authentic, California roll was fresh, but chicken a bit chewy. Friendly patrons. Low key, cozy decor. Strip mall location, close parking. Authentic Japanese decor. Did not sample the sashimi or other raw fish. Fried rice excellent. Will be back.

Our waitress was very attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful! However, the kitchen staff need to pay more attention. My husband’s plate had a penny that had been prepared in his food. This could have easily turned into a dangerous situation (choking/blocking air way/etc) had he not noticed it. While they did comp his meal, nothing else was mentioned. No manager or anyone came over to talk with us about the situation.We didn’t ask for anything, but expect a little more concern.

Great energy in this restaurant. Kind service! The only thing is that the menu is sprawling and as a result, the food seemed to have been made by an experienced generalist Asian food chef vs a specialist. It’s a fusion spot, so I think this is to be expected. Would revisit, especially for the green tea.

The best service and sushi we’ve had in the greater Savannah area. Gus was on top of it. The chef was watching each table periodically. The other server was sweet and attentive as well. We had 4 rolls, the bulgogi, miso, jasmine tea, and hot house peach sake! EVERYTHING was good. We love soy sauce but barely used it because the sushi flavors stood on their own. We’ll be visiting again soon.

Wasabi and Sushi Hana in Pooler are probably the two best sushi places outside of but in the relative vicinity of Savannah.

I dined solo and sat at the "bar" overlooking the sushi chefs. Tried their miso soup, vegetable tempura and niguri tuna and yellowtail. Everything was excellent and service was impeccable!

Went here for lunch with coworkers and it was not busy at all. Place was very quiet, clean and staff was friendly. Food was very good and presented very well. Highly recommend if you are looking for sushi or sashimi. A huge variety of sushi.

We had a group of 10 & they were so great from beginning to end! We reserved our table 2 days in advance & they even called and checked in the day of to ensure that we were still coming. The service was so fast and everything was absolutely delicious! Thank you so much for such a lovely night! Highly recommend!

Great food, and great service. The waitress was very mind and made sure we were always taken care of. Sushi was good; Fish tasted fresh. Hubby got the salmon plate and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Gyoza was some of the best we've had. Miso and mushroom soup, as well as the ginger salad were all very well prepared and flavorful.

Nice spot for a sushi dinner after work. A strip mall diner you might drive by but at least grab dinner to go! We started with the Martini salad, dumplings, and sake. The calamari was marinated nicely, so it was surprisingly tender. Among others, we had the Savannah Beach and Savannah Sunrise, Fresh ingredients, and they were very good. I wish they used real Wasabi instead of colored green horseradish. It is in your name, after all. The dessert was fantastic.Tiramisu and Keylime pie (cheesecake). The cook makes it fresh in-house.

I come here consistently for reliable takeout and Wasabi still delivers their excellence. Staff are very nice and especially Andrew, whom I deal with often, who is very respectful and professional.

UPDATE: Came again, still DELICIOUS! The sushi chef made my roll again and it was just as amazing as the first time. 🥲🔥 (Yuka no longer works here but we had Andrew and he was awesome too!) I’ve had a lot of AVERAGE sushi. Wasabi Fusion was anything but! I couldn’t find a roll with my favorite combination on the menu, so they allowed me to custom order it AND IT WAS DELICIOUS. All of their ingredients were so fresh and the roll was SO good that I ordered a second when I finished the first. So satisfied and happy, I will definitely be coming here again! (YUKA was our server and she was the BEST! 🤩)

Disappointed as I don’t feel it lived up to the reviews. We thought it was just ok but we did only have the sushi boat special. Service was good. But won’t go back.

My favorite Japanese restaurant in Savannah. The Chef/owner came out to talk to us last week at our table. Always a nice touch. Our waitress (I wish I could remember her name) - was fabulous.

Come here about once a week. It's a very affordable and delicious sushi and hibachi place. I usually just get the teriyaki chicken lunch, for two people. It's usually less than 20 bucks.

Hands down Savannah’s best Sushi. We’ve been fans of brothers JoJo and Arie for roughly 5 years now, and it’s still an exciting experience every time. If you’re looking for a fast in and out visit, go elsewhere. These guys put their hearts into every dish prepared. I’d recommend Wasabi Fusion to anyone from the novice to the seasoned vet. Also, whether you sit at the bar or out on the floor, be sure to ask for Lyle as your server. Another great addition to the Wasabi family !

Wasabi Fusion is the best Japanese restaurant in town. You can taste authentic Japanese dishes and delicious sushi here. Besides, the service is excellent which makes you feel warm.

We found this place on the way to Savannah for an event. We hadn't heard any reviews on the place but it turned out to be very good food. The side salad does need a little help but the soup, sushi, and entree was very tasty. If you are in the mood for some hibachi food, this place isn't a bad choice.

Jojo’s sushi is the best in the area! He and his staff only serve high quality, ingredients and fresh fish. The unique twist and presentation make dinner at Wasabi an experience. Attention to detail and customer service make this the go to sushi spot for us!!

More veggies less onions!! Ordered two teriyaki chicken and rice meals. The chicken was a little dry and not too flavorful. There were more onions than zucchini, that was a little disappointing. Not bad but definitely not great.

Easily one of the most bizarre dining experiences I’ve ever had in my life. Calamari appetizer was cooked to temp and not a degree more. Sushi was fine, Sushi Hana prices with a shed-n-breakfast vibe. Server? Absolutely on something 😂 Life story? Only partially told, have to return to learn the rest (unlikely) Quality assurance from server? They squatted (dropped it low) just to “see what it looks like, I’ve never eaten sushi before” Music/atmosphere? Creedence clear Water Revival’s Unfortunate Son to accompany you while you take this meal! I don’t know… I can’t say I’ll return, but I might if I’m in need of another story to tell. Who cares about this review? Not likely the server.

We got the happy hour sushi boat for two. It was amazing.

Crystal was our server and she performed her job perfectly. Th food was great, especially the ginger dressing. Thanks for the great service, Crystal and Wasabi fusion employees.

Our server, Cori, was absolutely amazing along with the food. We ordered 3 sushi rolls, kid meals, teriyaki hibachi steak and shrimp, and my fiancé ordered their ramen. Everything was delicious, came out quickly and hot and wasn’t overly priced. Our waitress really made the experience 10x better, so sweet and attentive even with how busy she was.

Wasabi is THE sushi and fusion restaurant that we recommend our friends and family! The food is delicious, staff friendly, and drinks tasty. Our go-to is the happy hour sushi boat, pictured above, with Tokyo rose sake. This is one of our regular spots and we’ve always had a wonderful experience.

The food was excellent! Sushi and the entree was outstanding. Our server’s name was Nathan and he was top notch. I’ve lived in the area for years and never tried it until tonight. I’ve been missing out. I will definitely be back!
