Excellent dogs, always a long line!!

This place was a classic, in demand hot dog right off Main Street driving through Rockland South on Route1. Menu classic hot dogs on a bun with a variety of fixings. Short wait in a seemingly continuously filled order line from locals. Attractive, interesting big sign "Wasses" over the hot dog shack. So it must be good and it was! Basic includes mustard, relish, and onions. I bought one of those for $3.50 and one with sauerkraut and mustard for $4.00. Ice cold soda for $1.50. Quick and easy. The lady and here small crew inside were very pleasant and well organized. Take away to eat in your car, a couple picnic tables nearby, or an adjacent bench just past the order line. Very popular for locals and for drivebys like me!

This place has the best hot dogs I've ever had, hands down! Especially the hot dog with everything (fried onions, relish, and mustard). There's always a long line, but service is fast as they make the food immediately and have it ready by the time you're done paying Definitely come here for lunch if you're in town!

They are printing money! This place had a nice line at 1:30 but they were pushing out the dogs and stacking the cash like pros. The standard hot with everything is perfect taste of Maine - relish, fried onions, and mustard. The fries were perfectly fried and salted. The service could not have been more friendly. They say its a staple of rockland, you better REALLY like hot dogs, because you'll easily drop $20. That's pretty expensive heartburn.

The store hours are wrong. After I was done visiting my mother in the hospital, I decided a hot dog would be a great lunch. I get online check the hours and see they are open, I drive over excited about my lunch and pull in to see they are NOT Open in fact they are CLOSED. And to top it off they have a sign in front that give there hours and yup they should be open. As I write this I’ve counted 10 different people pulling in to get a hot dog to have to turn around and leave empty handed.

Every single time I go to Wasses I am always satisfied the hot dogs I don't know where they're made but they are the best I've ever had and they have a great variety of toppings that would make anyone happy

Reliability is key! I visit Waaaes every time I get over to Rockland. I will give them 5 stars this year, and the year before, and the year before that....... it can be very busy in the summer but the ladies are always very friendly.

Doesn't get much better than Wasses Hot Dogs! Had the Western Dog and the Kraut Dog. Western was probably one of the best hot dogs I've ever had. Worth stopping by if you're in the area!

There's very little you can get wrong with a hot dog and Wasses gets them all right. Honestly, when my wife and I go, we usually get 2 regular hotdogs with everything for her and 2 of the western dogs for me, 2 drinks and 2 fries. That usually brings us to 27$ and that's a really, really good price for the quality of small business food and service. The ladies inside are always super nice as well and working as fast as they can. They're great! Highly recommend if you're craving a good hotdog.

The only reason we come to Rockland, is to eat Wasses Hot Dogs! Please remember to bring cash as they don't accept cards. We found this out recently, as after we ordered and handed her our debit card, she casually slides it back and says we don't take those (she was so cool about it). We didn't have any cash on us, so she pointed us to the nearest ATM and then said go enjoy your lunch first before it cools off. Wow! Not too many places would be so kind. The food is excellent and the service is superb, I would definitely recommend this place!

Almost 4 years have passed and memories have faded so we once again joined the longish, slow moving line to order hot dogs for lunch. Once again we received, unless specified, a hot dog on an ungrilled bun with yellow mustard, sweet relish and grilled onions.
