We've been raving about pot roast brisket meal to our family for 2 yrs. Not any more! What a disappointment. Meat was so fatty that taters & carrots were floating in grease. I had to blot them with a napkin in order to eat them. Please chef, I'd rather pay more for the dish in order to have a better cut of meat.

Been going there for awhile. But today's trip may be our last. Raw burgers nasty fries and the blooming onion was always our appetizer but this time it had uncooked batter and the onion was over cooked..

The Water Tower Grille is perfect for a night out and also provides excellent catering!

On Friday July 26th we catered a luncheon for a solar project in Sheridan, MI. Water Tower Grille did a fantastic job preparing the food, and the service was outstanding! We catered in over 200 hamburgers, 250 hot dogs and brats, and cookies. The food was fresh and delicious! Although the exterior could use a little TLC/attention, we were pleased with the back deck and dining experience overall. The service and food were good. Brisket egg rolls were heavy on the cream cheese and deficient on the brisket, but still okay. Pork quesadillas were fantastic.

Good food, staff can get quite busy at times but very friendly

Food is good service is okay drinks are awful. The sweet tea is not good (is what it is i am in the north i get that) order anything in a can everyone's mixed drinks came out more mix than drink. The "specialized cocktail" was more orange juice and curacao than alcohol. The food was good.

came out to get a few drinks with some friends and was very surprised by the lack of customer service given by the bartender Molly. not only did I, but both of my friends did not feel welcomed at all and felt as if we were a bother. Understandably everyone has off days, but a simple smile goes a long way.

met with friends for drinks, no food, and our bartender (molly) seemed annoyed that we were there to begin with and then couldn’t have been more rude to us (actually to be fair, she probably could’ve) when we asked to order a second round of drinks. not a welcoming environment. please smile more <3

The atmosphere here fits into a classic Golf Course Clubhouse. It all looked clean, but it did seem a little worn down. Plus it felt like they were trying to hide that with dim lighting. On a plus side they have a couple of live edge tables for sale that are really nice. I ordered a 3 Choice Bbq smokehouse combo ($27). I got Ribs, Pulled Pork, and Shotgun Shells. The ribs tasted decent, but were not tender at all, in fact I had to use my knife to separate the ribs. The Pulled Pork was very good. The Shotgun Shells, which are a group meat in a pasta shell wrapped in bacon and covered in bbq sauce, were good. However, the pasta shells were dried out and tough. The bbq sauces were very good. For the sides I got baked beans and deconstructed street corn. They were both very good, probably the best part of the meal. The person I was with ordered the Burger ($12). It was declared to be very good. The service was friendly, but not very efficient. Long periods of the waitress vanishing or talking with other waitresses. Overall a 3 1/2 star review. However I'll be rounding up to 4 stars, due to the sides, the pulled pork, the sauces, and the burger. Would I return? If I was in the area, then yes, otherwise no.

Spent 20$ on 4 stuffed jalapenos and a blooming onion, onion batter was still raw, took 40 mins to make and in that time I spoke to the waiter once. There was lots of cussing coming from the kitchen and a chef had quit. I was more impressed entering the joint rather than leaving. Could be an off day for them, but still made my meal very unpleasant.

People that arrived after us got helped first. Drink was so strong, couldn't finish it, food came out cold. A few of the staff just walked around over and over just waiting for a dish to grab. Made it awkward. Only reason I gave 2 stars was the view was nice over the course and waitress was very nice.

Had the best breakfast today, the sauage gravy was the absolute best I have ever eaten. Kristien was an amazing waitress thank you.

Sadly, the food quality has gone down since I was last here. The chicken quesadilla was burned on both sides. I would have been embarrassed to send that to a table myself 🤦🏽‍♂️. The person next to me had a hamburger bun top that looked like it had been crushed/flattened and slit in half 🤔. The coleslaw flavor was nasty 🤢. The fish was dripping of oil to the point it was not eaten. I hate leaving bad reviews because we all know these places are short staffed. I am hoping they will improve and have delicious food like they did the last time I was there.

I've been here many times and the majority of the time everything has been good. We keep coming back due to the majority and not the couple of bad ones.

I love their white chicken chili nachos. Not on the menu, but still available if you ask.

We had a reservation for 15 people this last Saturday for my grandma's birthday. We had plenty of room for everyone. Our server was so patient, helpful, and kind! I called two times prior to the reservation and was always able to get through to someone quickly. Everyone enjoyed the drinks and food! I had called to see if we could bring in her birthday cake and our server provided everything we needed to serve it. And she took our group picture and somehow got everyone in! So thankful for the service we received and that my grandma chose Candlestone for her birthday dinner!

Elyse and Kristen were wonderful. They even let us taste test some new drinks they are trying out. If you like white Russians they have a whole variety to try! Thanks girls

Friendly service. Restaurant manager a bit unfriendly.

Very disappointed in dinner. Ordered the country fried steak. It came out chicken. We asked the waitress and were told “that’s just the way it looks”, and “maybe it’s a mix”. The kitchen apparently told her that’s just how it came frozen from Gordon’s. I was also overcharged for beer on a special night but at that point it was not worth the hassle.

The best buffet today. Enjoyed it more than Easter & Mothers day. Compliments to the chef & staff.

My wife and I stopped in here for a quick sit down lunch, on our way to get some pumpkins. She was really happy with everything as was I. We will definitely stop again.

Celebrated my birthday with my family here, this place was awesome. They have a large menu, with every kind of food available. Service was also excellent. Watched the Sunset, and everyone had a great time.

Ordered take out tonight but when we arrived 30 minutes later to pick it up, the girls said they forgot to put in the order. Needless to say, we left with no food.

Service tonight after golf league was the worst I have experienced at the Candlestone. Waited almost 30 minutes for my drink. When I asked the waitress when she took our food order, she told me that that's between me and the bartender. I didn't order from the bartender. I understand they were busier than normal, but everyone else had got their drinks shortly after ordering. To top it off I got charged for a tall (which I ordered) and received a short. When I pointed it out to the waitress she said she would get it fixed. She came back and all that changed was the description of the size had been removed but the price was the same. When I asked if the price was the same regardless, she said I guess so. I understand service being slower when busy but the rudeness is uncalled for.

Disappointing food. Good old fashioned. Friendly waitress.

The ambiance is definitely that of a locals spot, which is cool. It felt like we were some place where everybody knows everybody. We came in at dinner time on a Friday night and, though they were busy, we were seated right away. Our waitress was Kennedy and she was pleasant and friendly. I do not recommend the "Soon to be Famous Smothered Burrito." My husband and I both agreed it tasted like a great microwavable/frozen burrito. My husband ordered the Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Burger and said it was pretty good, though would recommend upgrading for your side to something other than the chips that come with it. The best item we had was the quesedilla for an app, and that was absolutely delicious. All in all, it was an ok experience but don't plan to return. ***Be sure to ask for a military discount if it applies to you.***

Love the atmosphere. Garlic potatoes are yummy, although it took me a few times to get use to them. Nice restaurant close to home to meet up with friends. Good service.

The waitress was very attentive. We went during happy hour, which had some really good food deals. We got doubles of the cheese curds and the Buffalo chicken spring rolls. My Ruben was good, and the kids meals were quality. The kids macaroni and cheese was homemade and not just kraft or something. The homade chips were great with my sandwich.

I am finally able to write a review. My family came for the Thanksgiving buffet. We were so disappointed. The food was very dry, and not much option. The setting was down in the basement with no windows and just seemed very out dated. I had heard wonderful things about this place, unfortunately for the price we paid for 7 people and the quality, we won't be back.

Well drinks were not great and most food items have a smoky flavor even though not ordering from the smokehouse. Service was slow. Probably won’t return.

Great atmosphere, great food and service. The Ruben was delicious, and the smoked old fashion was top notch.

I had a lunch break between meetings at this location, so decided to try this place for lunch. Their fish and chips were incredible! Huge pieces of Alaskan cod fillets - very delicious. I think they are known for their barbecue, but don't pass up trying their fish and chips!

Had meat loaf, just ok. Smothered burrito was awesome!

Dark and spacious, good scenery, sports on TV's all around. They had some fun sauces to try and local beers.

Atmosphere is nice, deck is perfect for dining on a summer evening. Servers are stretched thin, but they hustle. The last several times we have been here, food is 40 min to hour wait; then not correct. It seems training is needed in a few areas. Food runners never seemed to know which table food went too, asking at every table until they found the right one. Overall, great place for atmosphere & outdoor seating, subpar on food & timely service.

They have a beautiful outside seating area but they were hosting a private event so we could not sit outside. The food was good. It got busy with golfers and customers. It was a beautiful day for golfing!

Came to golf and got there a bit earlier so my dad and I got a couple drinks at the bar. Drinks were really good and the bartender was very nice and helpful.

Only had a limited menu on Sunday 8/21/22.

They left out two sides, and gave us a small Mac and cheese when we ordered a quart. So 8oz vs 32oz. Highly disappointed with order and quantity and quality of food.

After receiving terrible service two weeks earlier we thought we would try again for a table of 10, one person was celebrating an anniversary and the other a 40th birthday. The service was fine the food was awful. The dinner entrees the meat was over cooked. The selection for sides was limited because they ran out. Lastly the menu listed on their website is not the same as the hard copy in the restaurant. My advise just to stick burgers or sandwiches if you need to eat there. We won’t be back anytime soon.

Visited here a few days ago with a friend. We sat by the window overlooking the golf course, and both had the spinach salad with hot bacon dressing. Delicious! The chef came out to see if we liked our meals. Super nice guy. Cocktails were reasonably priced, too.

We came for brunch and it was amazing! Great food selections from breakfast items to lunch, carved meat stations, omelette station, fresh fruit and salads and dessert options 😋 our group of 12 was very happy, accommodated and FULL when we left. Our server, Brianne was very friendly, plates cleared promptly and drinks kept full. We will be back!

Drove from grand rapids because we bought tickets to the comedy show. We couldnt get the attention of our waitress so we got drinks from the bar. We sat around for an hour and a half and had to flag down a waitress to our table to find out that the kitchen shut down due to being too busy. Starting to get drunk and hangry, we left before the comedy show even started (due to them also starting 30 mins late) and went to somewhere that didn't overbook. I've worked at 8 different restaurants and been to hundreds, never once has anyone ever denied food at a food establishment. They obviously way overbooked for the amount of people the kitchen and staff could handle. Management should be ashamed. Keep our money for the tickets. We don't plan to come back.

They had comedy club and it was there last one of the year I guess. This is the first time I ever been to a stand up and was excited. Even put in my reservation a week early. Showed up an hour and a half early and immediately ran into issues. Couldn't even order a drink for 30mins due to lack of staffing and over crowded. Stayed optimistic as long as possible. Took 20mins to get a server to FINALLY! take my order, only to be informed I cannot order food due to how many people were there and how overwhelmed the kitchen was. I ended leaving before the show started because I waited to eat because I heard they had good food. Had to leave without paying for drinks because they were to busy to pay attention to. Hate leaving bad reviews but it was horrible
