Found this gem on our way home. It takes you through a cozy town to a perfect dinner spot. Excellent service, atmosphere, and food!

Yummy meal with good hot coffee and friendly service in a laid-back environment! I had cranberry pancakes, which were thick and fluffy.

Great food at a great price. So glad we found this place while visiting Niantic. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was friendly with great service. We had breakfast and it was the best corned beef hash I have had out. Can’t wait to try lunch next time we are in town.

Went here on Mother’s Day weekend and the food was delicious! I love that they don’t have a cookie cutter menu but rather offer unique options. The garlic hash is a must try! My family and I agreed, this is undoubtedly the best breakfast food we’ve ever had. Customer service is also top notch. Highly recommend!

This place is a kitchy, fun place to grab an amazing breakfast, I had the breakfast burrito and it did not disappoint. They javelin daily specials as well. I wish I had gotten the banana bread French toast. Maybe next time. And the service was top notch. We had KC, who gave us an unforgettable experience. He was personable, funny, and accommodating. He kept my 80 year old mom happy and tended to her every requests, even making menu suggestions and leaning in to listen and assure her she was no bother at all. He gives all of his customers the VIP treatment. He made us feel quite welcomed. Will be going back.

The food is delicious with good portion sizes. They also have an unlimited self-serve coffee bar which is a plus if you are a caffeine fiend.

When Pigs Fly is an amazing breakfast spot! They always have fun specials for the sweet or savory lover! I also love the self-serve coffee because there are always great options for flavor. There's also always a nice decaf if caffeine isn't your thing.

First time, and I was not impressed. The "classic" eggs Benedict had overly runny poached eggs, and the hollandaise sauce had a distinct lemon flavor, which did not seem to fit into the advertised "classic" idea. The parmesan rosemary hashbrowns had decent flavors, I think, but they were so overcooked that it was hard to tell. The buttermilk pancake was pretty much the only food item that I somewhat enjoyed, but even it was a bit dry and needed excess syrup to make up for it. The fòod I was served did not represent the cost I was charged. The one true saving grace was the staff. They were friendly, attentive, and overall delightful.

They are very friendly. The food was great! The sausage gravy was to die for!

When Pigs Fly is a great breakfast location offering new breakfast specials every week and they have a Coffee Bar! Yup unlimited pour your own coffee buffet. Special pancakes and french toast are my go-to they bake the French toast breads in house and usually have seasonal flavors. Must try if you are in the area they also have a sister restaurant in Mystic, Connecticut named “Somewhere In Time cafe” if that's closer to your stay. Be prepared to wait in lines on the weekend. This place is very popular with the locals. But overall great breakfast

Very cute diner. Staff was super nice and checked in frequently. They food was good. Everything was reasonably priced. Coffee Station was self serve and I really loved that. Great place to grab breakfast.

Everything ordered here has been amazing. Coffee is self-serve and there is plenty of cream and sugar. Food always arrives sooner than expected and staff is always at the top of their game.

Just as in all the other highly marked reviews, this place is now one of our favorites. Too bad we don't live closer. The effort in cutting up the potatoes alone would win an award in itself. The scramble i had was spot on. The seasonl favorite eggnog French toast was mint! And my ewifes eggs were poached to perfection. I know adding another great review won't do this awesome breakfast place justice, but comming from us and our hundreds of reviews will...

Great taste, cheap prices, excellent service. Had the breakfast burrito which was amazing. Very tasty and a big portion for only $12. Service was fast. Waiter was friendly, and had helpful but not pushy suggestions. It’s a smaller place, so we had to wait 10 minutes for a seat on a Sunday around 11am, but they have self serve coffee with a variety of flavors for you while you wait which is a great idea. Was visiting from Long Island, NY and this was a great stop on our way out of Mystic, CT.

Wish I could give 6 stars. If everybody went to this place for breakfast wars would go extinct, Earth would be heaven, everyone would be happier.

The garlic hash browns are to die for! In fact everything we ordered - pancakes, omelets, sample platter - was absolutely delicious! The coffee and the apple cider were also amazing, hot and fresh. Service was friendly and quick. Prices are also very reasonable. Definitely a place to visit. And revisit!

The garlic hash browns are amazing. Very welcoming, no fuss atmosphere. The parking wasn't obvious at first but definitely worth figuring out. Will be back to try those bacon chocolate chip pancakes!

This place is very cute! The staff was attentive and the food was phenomenal. I got the Mavis Medley minus tomato and swapped in the garlic hash browns. It was sooo good with Sourdough bread. Hubz got the Chili omelet and it was just as good. We were here only for the weekend but will be back next time we are in the area.

I got a "healthy" sandwich (eggs, cheese, spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, red peppers, and I can't remember what else) a side of fruit and it was delicious. The sandwich was a special but they have so many great breakfast and lunch options on their daily menu. They just happen to have super good specials that day. My boyfriend also got a special that was some sort of pumpkin french toast dish. He said it was great. I will definitely be back!

Great breakfast spot. Its my new go to for sure. Specials are rotated all the time and the regular menu has a nice variety. I had the steak and eggs last time and anyone that can cook a perfect over medium egg knows what they are doing.

Had a delicious sandwich there. And the rest of my party enjoyed their meals as well. The staff was outstanding and the place was very clean bright.

The food was good and the service fast. It is a wonderful space to just enjoy company and good eats. Be aware some of the portions can be huge.

First , it's one of the busiest places for breakfast, brunch and lunch reserve a table if you can. Parking is a bit limited so be ready for that. Food is pretty good. Everyone in our group enjoyed the food. The place is dog friendly so you can bring your four legged family member and have breakfast.

Great servers, always put a smile on your face. Food was rich and full of flavor. Place is a little small, so you know it's popular when it's packed every weekend!

I had to go with the bacon/chocolate chip pancakes with peanut butter sauce and I'm so glad I did! Coffee was hot and fresh. Every employee we interacted with was so pleasant. All the decorations are adorable.

Cute little cafe with a nice coffee selection. After a week of disappointing meals on vacation, breakfast at When Pigs Fly was a treat on our way out of town. Four easy-over eggs all came to the table with liquid yolks. The variety of bread meant all four of us could have a different kind. All were good. There is plenty of parking in the rear but if it is marked on the street, we didn't see it. Just drive back on the left side of the building.

When Pigs Fly is an outstanding small breakfast/lunch only cafe. My wife & I had a late breakfast there & it was the best value I have encountered in years. 3 truly massive & delicious buttermilk pancakes for only $8(I couldn't even finish them)plus unlimited self serve coffee of 6 different varieties for $3.25. Staff was friendly & the kitchen filled our orders in only 7 minutes. My wife really enjoyed her Eggs Benedict with hash browns. If you are looking for breakfast in the Waterford/New London area, I heartily endorse them.

I had order steak and eggs with home fries. Steak tasted tangy. Home fries were cut to small that it was crispy. They didn't ask how I wanted the steak done and was punk in the middle.

I love eating here! The food is always great, the service is lovely, and I *love* the self-serve coffee option! Leave room for baked goods. Their grilled muffins are divine. I would add a photo of our food but we were so hungry and the food looked so good that I didn't even think to take a photo.

I came here with my boyfriend’s for breakfast. Was greeted as soon as we came in and was allowed to be seated where we wanted. Our host was very attentive, and patient with us, as we decided what we wanted to eat. The pictures speak for themselves. The food came out amazing there was nothing wrong with any of our orders. My only comment is that the French toast could’ve used more cinnamon.

What's nice is the friendly service! The server started right off asking what we'd like to drink. Then I was directed to the coffee station where plenty of choices were available. We ordered the Sausage Gravy served over toast and topped with two overeasy eggs. Home fries on the side. Very good 👍🏼. Our other dish was basic eggs over easy with bacon and toast; also very good. Menu offers plenty of choices so no one will be left out. The restaurant was spacious and offers plenty of parking.

My favorite place to get breakfast. The food is fantastic and well priced. I love the pig theme and decor. The staff is the most friendly and attentive. This place makes me miss living in CT. It tastes like home.

Usually love this place, but last meal was a disaster. Santa Fe omelet was a vinegary canned tomato mess in a thin egg pancake with crunchy avocado. Pancakes were rubber. Christmas French toast was so over-spiced we couldn’t eat it. Home fries were a boiled mess so heavy on the paprika as to taste of nothing else…. We had family in from out of town and were actually embarrassed that we brought them out for such a bad meal. What happened? ☹️

Arrived early so there wasn't a wait to be seated. A nice choice for a good breakfast and love the self serve for the coffee. Plenty of selection and they don't skimp on flavor.

Pulling up to when pigs fly brings a warm and comfortable feeling especially if your trying to get out of the cold waits aren't too long due to fast reliable service and the food they serve is even better there a nice mix of different food to satisfy all taste buds o had a steak wrap and it was cooked to perfection all the flavors explode in your mouth as soon as you bite into it this breakfast place has its own unique vibe and energy ill always remember I highly recommend this spot for family and anyone that loves great food

First time eating at this place. Out of town from Ohio and wanted to try a small breakfast restaurant. The service was fast and the food was top notch. If I’m ever in the area again I’ll make sure to stop.
