It was absolutely delicious. Keep up the good work. This is the best place to eat in Springdale, by far. I had coconut shrimp, fish tacos (which happened to be salmon) and a chicken quesadilla to take along. You have to stop here.

Killer view and a GREAT kitchen. We had the chips and salsa, fish tacos and the wings. Alex delivered top notch h service. The Margaritas were refreshing with the chips. The entire menu is, imo, elevated casual. Want to get a burger? You got it. Ribeye? They have that too. Everything we ordered came out super fresh and hot. Last point- the entire team was there to help and make the experience with the views wonderful.

Alex was great. Staff was very on top of it and food and drinks came out for us within 10 minutes. Loved the carne plate.

We had lunch here and it was nothing short of spectacular! Staff were so kind and portion sizes were huge! We both took to-go boxes. I had the strawberry Jalapeno margarita, which was delicious!

An excellent little restaurant located at the entrance to Zion Park

This was one of the best restaurants I have ever been to, seriously the best! Our servers name was Alex and he was fantastic, very friendly and awesome service. The food was also amazing!! We had the sweet pork tacos and wings. We also ordered margaritas, I got a coconut raspberry margarita… one of the best cocktails. Don’t skip on this place!!!

This is definitely one of the very good mexican restaurant in the country. Foods are very good and fresh. Enchiladas can be finished by 1 person but their burritos portions are really big. Rice and beans had a mixed review from our group we wasted a lot so be cautious though it is included in lot of dishes. Famous Goat Cheese Chile Relleno is must try.

We stopped here for lunch on vacation in Springdale Utah during a hiking trip to Zion National Park. It’s an old gas station converted to a restaurant with indoor and outdoor covered seating. The food and service and the views of the surrounding mountains were amazing. Our server was Geraldine. I had the house salad with the burger and fries and my husband had the Chile Relleno, which is their signature dish and he said it was amazing.

We are here twice during our weeks stay at Zion. The Steak Tacos were amazing- great portion size for price. The burritos are spicy which I like! Would definitely return!

Excellent 👌 the pulled pork sandwich with a homemade sauce 😋😋 and a salad with avocado vinaigrette I enjoyed it. That’s changing, I can no longer find good burgers in the US. I recommend 😍

The restaurant is furnished in a spartan style and could be set up in a more comfortable atmosphere that suits the region. The reception was good and friendly. Service was friendly and quick. Unfortunately, I was sold a house salad for $9 instead of a side salad for $6 like the option on the menu. Firstly it's the price difference and secondly the portion size. In general, the portions are far too large and they could certainly be calculated better. The food tastes good. For the salad I would have liked more dressing or a ready-made salad. However, this is not always compatible with mice en place.

After a HOT morning in Zion NP and staying just this side of heat exhaustion, my family and I needed a special place for lunch to cool down and refuel. And we found it! Whiptail's location inside of an old Texaco gas station is a beautiful bit of repurposing! This gave the opportunity for indoor seating in the old service garage area and outdoor, mister-cooled seating under the old gas pump awning. A truly unique venue! And what about the food and drinks? I ordered a cucumber margarita, and after the first sip I felt rejuvenated! A perfect balance of flavor. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her strawberry jalapeño margarita as well. I ordered the NY strip and was amazed by the flavor! The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare, and the chimichurri topping was some of the best I've had. The peppers and onions were perfectly cooked, flavorful and crisp. Altogether one of the best meals I've enjoyed! My wife had the enchiladas, my older daughter the kid's spare ribs, and my younger daughter had rice and chips, all of which was devoured with happy faces and enthusiastic noises of approval. Prices were reasonable for the area. Staff was polite and attentive, couldn't ask for more! This gem of a restaurant is a must visit!

We split the BBQ Bacon Gouda Burger. I recommend that you get the housemade chipotle pineapple sauce on the side to be sure that you like it. We did not care for it at all. We had very good sweet potato fries and an outstanding Margarita. The service was excellent!

Food: 4-star burgers and 1-star Mexican averages to 2.5. I am rounding down this time. The Mexican food was so bad- the “asada” was “guisada”, the enchiladas featured flour tortillas, and the chips are 3 colors (an unnecessary usage of food coloring.) It was 6 of us. The person that took our order and never came back to the table until it was time to pay, showed up with the credit card machine, and rattled a total ($170, which was very expensive for bad food.) We did not see a check. After one of us gave them a credit card, she presented the machine and asked my friend to respond to a question, which happened to be “how much tip”. My friend pointed out that the menu said that tips were added for parties 5 or more. The waitress acted annoyed and pointed out where one could choose “no (additional) tip”. Good thing my friend noticed that the tip was included - since the waitress did not present us with a printed check, very likely to deceive us.

Came here on recommendation of a girl friend. What a sad disappointment. They sat us in a far corner away from the main dining area next to stacked up storage of tables and chairs. The table was sticky, and the menus were dirty and covered in "ick." I ordered a $35 ribeye steak. I could have eaten better semi-truck tire-shreds on the side of the highway. I asked for a "medium" cooked steak. What I got was a barely 1/4" thick, extra-well-done piece of shoe leather. The fries looked like they came out of a bag from Albertsons. The salsa was mediocre, the queso tasted gritty and liquidy - not cheesy and flavorful. The whole experience was stunningly terrible. I will NEVER go here again. If there was one good take-away it would be the service was quick, friendly and prompt. However, that's no substitution for food worse than a really bad chuck-a-rama.

We had a great time at Zion and after a long day this was just the place to stop after a great day biking Zion. We had an 11 person E-Bike crew and Whiptail seated us quickly. They were happy to have us (unlike a few other stops on the way). Alex (moving to a new place) was FANTASTIC! He was enthusiastic about us being there, talking about Zion, and filled our water bottles with ice water before we headed off on our bikes again. Ask for Alex. He had great drink recommendations and even helped us "midwesterners" find other essential vacation spirit stores that are hard to find in Utah! He was a great server. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area. Oh, and the restaurant had misters that everyone loves to keep you cool on a hot summer day! Thanks, Whiptail, you ROCK!!!!

The kids burgers were amazing. The shrimp tacos and carne asada burrito were also amazing. The tomatillo sauce was unique and delicious. The service was friendly, fast, and appropriately attentive. The environment was also great as the decor pays homage to the building’s former life as a Texaco station. If you’re visiting Zion, this place is a must!

Good food, nice atmosphere, friendly waiter. However, the food is not exceptional.

Family and I came here because there were a lot of good ratings. I assume this is probably better for young adults or couples. The hostess was curt and didn't allow us to go inside to cool off with the 1 and 5 year olds. We were told instead of asked to stand outside. We didn't even make it to a seat before deciding to pack the kids up and go down the street.

Fabulous food as usual. Whatever we order is always great and never disappointing. Had the Spaghetti squash enchiladas.

Best Mexican food around town for sure. Everything was delicious and generous in portions. Light eaters can share a main dish no doubt. Recalled immediately after sitting in the restaurant that we’ve been here 10 years ago. This longevity already proves something. Here has only leaves good memories. A great plus for an already A+ destination of the Zion park. You can enjoy the sunset spread on the mountain just standing outside facing the restaurant.

Wish we had found this place on our first night. It has a small indoor section and larger outdoor patio. Service and food was excellent. Restaurant reasonably priced. We had chips and salsa and shared shrimp tacos which were delicious. Portions are large and even the rice and beans were really tasty and well made. Nice margaritas too. You will not be disappointed.

Wow! After reading many positive reviews, we decided to dine at Whiptail Grille and it was the best choice! Quesadillas, Carne asada tacos, bacon Gouda burger w sweet potato fries, Whiptail nachos- all amazing! They cooked every dish with care! Service was great. Our server was so friendly and provided a good service. In this hot weather, indoor seating is limited but outdoor space was ok with cold mist. When you are in Zion canyon, this is a restaurant you want to dine if you want straight good food.

First place we at when we arrived in Springdale for lunch. No disappointment; great service and great food. One of the best places we ate at during our visit to Zion and Springdale.

Can’t beat this place after a long, hot day in Zion. The Famous Goat Cheese Chili Relleno is amazing. We also ordered the Mahi Mahi Tacos and they were excellent with the mango mix.

This is an amazing spot for lunch/dinner....everything we had was an elevated version of our favorites. We tried the chips/salsa, quesadilla, steak tacos, and chicken tacos. I wish we found this spot earlier on our vacation, but so HAPPY that we dined there at least once! Super yummy and a great spot for lunch/dinner when you are visiting Zion National Park or the local area! I would jump on a plane and head back there in a second!

Today at 5:50pm. We received our food. As we started my guest found a black curly hair in his house salad. We all stopped eating and immediately got sickend. We flagged down the waitress we told her we found a f'en black hair in the food. The waitress had the nerve to tell us there is no reason to be rude. Are you frickin kidding me?! We found a human frickin hair in the food and we are told to not overact! Mind we all had at mac 3 bites of our meals. The staff told us they comped the salad!!! What!! They acted like it was perfectly normal to have a hair in the food. Then had the audacity to make me pay for the rest of the food!! Are you serious?! The staff were not even shocked by the hair at all they seemed to think we were the problem. The manager Fernando allows human hair in the food and it's no big deal! Beware of this restaurant unless you are okay with hair and who knows what else they don't care about putting in your food!.

It was delicious and love the atmosphere. Service was great too! Prices very reasonable just wish I had room for dessert.

We happened on this place because of ample parking and misters on the patio. But we returned because of delicious food and great margaritas. Everything we ordered both times (Chile Relleno, Enchiladas, Southwest Salad, Carne Asada Burrito) was phenomenal and not just because of long days hiking. The food unique and delicious. Portion sizes are perfect. The kids quesadillas were also fantastic but our kids loved the Rice and Beans so much they just ate a helping of both each. It’s no exaggeration to say we might eat here every night the next time we visit Zion. Don’t miss it.

Very pricey for what you get. $5 extra to smother a $22 dry burrito. Terrible service and the food was mediocre, canned black beans and no flavor rice. I will NEVER go back.

Amazing views, service and food! I suggest sitting outside. A must stop if you’re nearby for sure. Order the ship tacos and the spicy margaritas. You won’t be disappointed. “Alex” is the best waiter around for sure.

After a day of hiking at Zion, this is the place! Great food and ambiance. Sit outside and enjoy the setting sun after a day of being in the park. The shrimp tacos are outstanding. If you are hungry the burrito is one of the best ever. Servers are fun and helpful. The chili relieno was delish (but a little smaller size for the price), & the wings were great. We were in Zion for two days, and ate dinner here both nights - happily. Teenager and parents approved!

Ordered the Whiptail burrito with shrimp; it was very good. My wife ordered the Asada tacos. The portions are generous. My wife also ordered the blueberry lemonade and it was great.

This is a great location for a multitude of reasons. Their food was amazing, I had the enchiladas (ate it too quick so I don’t have a pic), and the guava margarita. Both were superb! The location is a nifty way to repurpose an old gas station transformed into a restaurant. Of course the view is truly majestic with the mountains as a backdrop.

Stopped by this place after a day hiking Zion. Service was great! Highly recommend the goat cheese Chile relleno. The wings were also a favorite in the group. Even after full bellies we split the chocolate peanut butter habanero creme brulee. Very tasty! We sat outside and the views were amazing. Definitely recommend

Did a walk up to order takeout as the phone only had a recording. Very friendly reception (Fernando, who I think was the owner?). We ordered Chipotle Chicken Enchiladas ($22) and Sweet Pork Tacos ($21). Both were sizable meals having beans and rice. We loved them both. Meals were ready in 10 mins as promised. Very handy location close to Zion and right at the entrance to our campground - Zion Canyon Campground. Would return if staying longer. Might tonight at least for a drink of the fresh guava margaritas they gad as a special. Outdoor seating looked good, only service animals allowed though.

Very rude receptionist who was there to make us get seated. She could have been polite to us and made it comfortable. Overall food and place is nice. A bit on the expensive side I would say.

Reasonably priced Mexican dishes. Pork tacos were very good. Sides of rice and beans were mediocre. My husband had a chicken burrito which was huge and he enjoyed. Our server brought us complimentary chips and guacamole and we realized that other people were being served before us. I guess our meal was delayed or forgotten. Didn’t bother us…the chips were good!! I had a raspberry margarita. Tasted more like raspberry juice. Would definitely get a beer next time. We arrived just in time (5:30) as it started to fill up and they don’t accept reservations.

Great restaurant and the food is excellent! We stopped here on our walk back from Zion. It was a great midway point between the park and our hotel. The food was super tasty. My husband and I split the carne asada tacos. The portion was big and they made them with filet mignion. We will definitely return on our next trip to Zion.

Everything here was fantastic and fresh. The margaritas did not taste like some mix, but they were special, delicious recipes unique to this place. The beef on the nachos was stupid delicious. We had a party of nine and everybody loved their food.

I just had a bad experience in terms of bad manners and lack of general courtesy I was having to wheel chair my 82 year old mom on mt zion pkwy bc shuttles were not stopping bc of full capacity and i asked the manager “ fernando “ to kindly allow my elderly mom to use restroom in his restaurant since she is elderly and may lose control and next public restrooms were half a mile away He was rude and pointed us out of his restaurant as if we were beggars I just hope and pray that karma teaches him a lesson in the future and guides him to be kind to the elderly . We all have elderly parents and we ourselves are heading there too each passing day . So he may ne in theses shies one day If u don't have basic manners and courtesy you don't belong in the hospitality business

My chicken enchiladas had zero chicken, only smashed pinto beans. $30 for 2 bean enchiladas. Would not recommend.

Overpriced. Great service, but the food and drinks are WAY overpriced. If you want chips and salsa it costs $7. And $15 for a small margarita. The food was more Tex-Mex (not preferred) and chicken burrito was a bit bland. But we ordered a side of salsa for our meal and it was delicious.

Sat outside for lunch after hiking in Zion all morning. A bit picky about my margaritas but the spicy mango margarita did not disappoint! All three of us ordered and we unanimously agreed they were delicious! The Whiptail nachos (can't recall what protein we added) were delicious as well - very flavorful and loaded! We also ordered burgers and sandwiches, the BBQ bacon Gouda Burger and the Pineapple Porker - we each enjoyed what we got. Not to mention the scenery can't be beat! Hope to return to Zion and the Whiptail Grill one day!

Me and my fiancé came here to celebrate our engagement with my family this week and it was definitely a good choice. Everyone was stellar, and the food was excellent!

Fernando is the friendliest guy here, and had a fantastic team that took VERY good care of us!! I tried the chicken enchiladas & blueberry mojito which was made fresh & it was so good, my mom ordered her own! The atmosphere was relaxing and the views were beautiful. We left with full bellies and smiles on our faces! Safe to say we will definitely be back very soon. Thank you again Whiptail team, y’all were amazing!!(:

The food was as amazing as the views!! Fernando provided great recommendations and those suggestions did not disappoint. Blueberry Mojito was so good that we needed more. The avocado dressing was my favorite part of the stuffed avocado salad. It is creamy and light and just the right compliment to the mixed greens. Do not miss out on the desserts! Chocolate-Hañero Crème Brûlée has a thin crust of sweetness on top. Flan is the dessert the chef made when applying for the job. Tres Leche has a touch of cinnamon. All are fabulous! It was easy to access the parking lot. Service was as good as Disneyland used to be. Don’t miss the art on the side of the building. There’s a story behind it. Ask your server. We will definitely be back!

We have been treated very nicely during our diner here. Quality / price I would say a bit too expensive. NY Steak was good with a good Chimichurri sauce and well prepared. Chicken Burrito a bit too cheasy and we thought it said TomatoSauce on the menu but there was no TomatoSauce inside, but that could also be our mistake 😄
