This family owned establishment has become part of my weekly routine. First, let me start with the staff. Everyone there is so friendly and welcoming regardless of time. My favorite staff member is Shy; she has such a positive energy and always greets you with a smile. If they have a line, it typically moves very fast, so never be discouraged by the long lines, and it is totally worth the wait! Second, their prices are extremely reasonable. I used to be an avid Starbucks customer, I would easily spend 15 dollars for a sandwich and a small coffee. At Whitney donuts, you can get the same products for half the price, and it is benefiting a small owned business as opposed to a large franchise. Baked Goods: Their donuts are delicious and fresh; my favorite is the apple cider one. Their chocolate chip cookies are also delicious and soft. They have a variety of muffins/danishes/ and croissants. Coffee: One of my favorite things about this shop is that they have flavored ground coffee, not the flavored syrup. They have seasonal flavors. My favorite, which is typically offered in the spring/summer, is Peanut Butter Banana. For the fall they have pumpkin and apple crisp, which are both delicious. They offered non dairy options which is great for those that have a dairy sensitivity.

Atmosphere? C'mon, it's a donut, sandwich, bagel & salad shop!! We don't need no stinkin' atmosphere!! Just the great food they have!

Helpful friendly staff. Did not wait to be served - quick to help. However the sweet treats were disappointing. They looked delectable, but taste did not match visual. Chocolate chip cookie was a little bland lacking a rich chocolate chip flavor and expected a more flavorful buttery batter. Also tried apple filled cinnamon donut and cream filled powder covered donut. The apple was just ok. I had expected the cream filled to be a white cream, but it was more of a custard. Dough for both was a little dense, not as light and fluffy as expected.

Great place to get breakfast and lunch! All home made foods, always delicious! They have a variety of flavored coffees hot or cold, bagels and breakfast sandwiches, and for lunch great sandwiches! I built the dispensary right across the street from it, so I found myself getting breakfast and lunch almost every day, good place 👍

They don't make the "BEST" donuts you've ever had. And I'm thankful for that. It's Saturday morning, I have family in town, I don't want a boutique display of key lime-balsamic chiffon filling and cracked white pepper and truffle glaze, with single source cacao nibs. They make GOOD donuts, fresh, plenty of variety, they're friendly, patient, and good at helping you fill a box. You can get bagels, and breakfast sandwiches, and coffee. It's all good. All hail Glazed. Update, a couple years later: unsurprisingly, still great. Also, the apple fritter...amazing.

Bought 6 muffins for $16.25 and these were the worst muffins I have ever had. Got two blueberry two carrot cake and two chocolate chip. The blueberry and chocolate chip are like sawdust with a very few berries and chips. Very very dry and no taste. The carrot cake muffins were very moist and very good except you would think the cream cheese filling would be sweetened. Nope just a lump of cream cheese. Ate the muffin left the lump of cream cheese. I can make better muffins at home for less money and they aren’t like sawdust!!!

Everything is delicious. Bacon egg and cheese croissant is delicious, all the donuts are, blueberry cake is my favorite. Drive thru line is long but processed incredibly efficiently, felt like I had to move forward every fifteen seconds.

They put more jelly in the jelly donuts than Dunkin Donuts.

I love this place and I’ve been obsessed with it lately llol. I will go out of my way to get food there

One of my favorite places in Hamden! It's always busy because the food is wonderful with donuts, coffees, sandwiches, muffins, pastries and salads. The staff are nice and move quickly, nice counter seating if you want to eat in or drive through the line goes fast even when it's long. You definitely will enjoy this spot!

So my husband and I go here after we find out that they have chicken sausage egg and cheese!!! And choices of donuts 😍😁 They can have a better update on certain foods but we like to coming here grab breakfast from time to time. One of the things we don't like is that they stop breakfast after 12, so we automatically go somewhere else if we want some breakfast late.

Busy in the morning but worth the wait!

Food is one thing. The egg sandwich is great, but this woman with the tan straight out of a can is one of a kind. She asked me my name, and I said it about four times before she asked, "what is your name?!", veey rudely, and very loud, she spoke at me as if i was slow, or not one foot in front of her, and she seemed annoyed for no other reason but that my name is different, simple though, its "Wisdom" so I get it, it's not a common name, but don't disrespect me. Your attitude is deplorable, and you getting annoyed with me ordering a sandwich with roast beef and white cheddar cheese, on a bagel? is really speaking volumes. I did not enjoy my experience, she made it a teeth pulling experience to order a breakfast sandwich, its 8 in the morning so I get it maybe you're just miserable in the morning, but as always, I noticed that she treated the white customers with more grace, softer tones, kindness, patience, and understanding. Even now, the inflection in her voice has completely changed from the way she spoke to me, there she is she's telling everyone to have a great day! This is comical, all she said to me was, "napkins are on the counter" beeyatch. Won't be back

This place is amazing. People smart, pleasant & super efficient! A delicious chicken salad sandwich you get get in the drive thru. So fast & easy!

$12 for a Dozen Freshly Baked Donuts..can’t beat that. Favorite donut is the Blueberry Cake

They were able to supply our business with 12 dozen donuts very last minute during a morning rush. Employees were very friendly and the restaurant was clean. Would highly recommend

We’ve been going there for about 5 years I think now. Service is excellent even through COVID ⁉️ Try there Costa Rican coffee. I take mine iced and black. Its really good 👍🏽

Stopped by for the first time today! The drive thru line was long but it went very quickly! The blond girl at the window was super helpful with helping me decide what I want and being a first time customer.

We had their donuts last night for our wedding and oh my gosh!!! They were by far the best donuts we e had. All 4 dozen donuts were gone. Guest loved them. I’ve tried so many for the wedding and Whitney’s Donuts had to be the best donuts I’ve ever had! ❤️

After traveling for 2.5 hours and starving…. The search for a recommended good review bagel spot was on! We came across Whitney Donut and Sandwich shop which had many great reviews. After checking out some of the reviews and photos decided to give it a shot. Did not know that this was actually a drive thru/dine in store combo but actually preferred to go inside order and sit down for a meal vs drive thru. The sandwich was made to order and fresh. Bagel was delicious not a belly busting sandwich that leaves you feeling gross after. The coffee was also excellent and local, forget the name but was really good. So many different coffee flavor options both hot and cold. If you are looking for a good breakfast sandwich in this area or passing through to get somewhere else…. I recommend stopping here for a bite and coffee!

The service was very friendly and professional, the food was delicious and the pastry selection was amazingly tasty!! The coffee was hot & fresh!! Couldn't have asked for a better treat!!

The best place for Bagels, Delicious Donuts, Bacon, egg & cheese sandwiches and coffee / ice tea. Drive thru and counter service is excellent, You can call in your order and have it ready when you arrive….you might get lucky and have Kayla take your order, a real delight….The Best !

went in to only wait in line while employee talked with another patron for 10 minutes while he waited for his order to be ready, after his order was ready the employee continued to talk with the patron while other patrons were waiting. I'm not sure why the employee could not take any one else's order while waiting for the previous order to be ready instead he chose to ignore the other patrons who were waiting this employee was wearing a blue baseball cap with a orange "c" on the front. His service is a great description of what "poor service" is

Super busy donut/breakfast spot with fresh donuts and excellent breakfast sandwiches. Fast service, reasonably priced. Very basic decor with a few tables and a bar but no table service. My breakfast sandwich was huge and delicious.

Their bacon egg & cheese sandwich is very good as is their muffins
