I can’t not rate this restaurant since they do not have take out currently. Not until September, this was a huge problem since I drove an hour and a half from Vermont while heading back to Rhode Island. If they put the information on the website then I wouldn’t have gone out of my way.

Tops every bbq place i've eaten at this summer. Better than B.T.'s in Mass

now i gave it a 5 because the food, esp the ribs were wonderful....it is smallish and crowded with some outside seating, sort of in an old house with out much parking at all...interesting but really old seeming decor....BUT food was great!!

Love the live music and atmosphere. Very friendly staff.

Great 50th birthday dinner here. Outstanding brisket and sauce and I think they were shortstaffed tonight so the bartender was handling the bar and the tables and still did a great job. And she hooked me up with a shot when she found out it was my birthday! 😆😉 Great meal!

Me and my son just had an amazing dinner here. From service, to atmosphere, and food quality, everything was beyond our satisfaction. Please don’t let the crazy people’s bad reviews turn you away. This is truly one of our favorite spots.

Ich kann den Aufenthalt absolut empfehlen. Wenn man in das Lokal hineingeht, hat man schon den Geruch von gesmokten Dingen in der Nase. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und zuvorkommend und geht auf alle Wünsche ein. Wir waren mit den Kindern dort und wurden freundlich empfangen und bewirtet. Das Brisket, die Ribs und die Quesadillas waren super fein und zerflossen auf der Zunge. Der Koch versteht sein Fach. Einfach fein. Ich würde sofort wieder hingehen. Vielen Dank für eure Bewirtung.

Food was great. There's only three tables and a few seats at the bar. And, loose the mean, unfriendly biker dude at the bar who make everyone except single women feel unwelcome and unfortable. Ruined what would otherwise have been a nice meal.

Have gotten take out from here about three times. The food has always been delicious and the bartender is very nice! I loved the brisket. It is a bit hard to find parking, but that’s not the restaurant’s fault

Food was good but the owner engages in childish behavior on Facebook because they're upset that The Anchorage is offering BBQ and competing with them. I can stomach the food but not the owner.

Went here over the weekend and the food/drinks were incredible! Loved chatting with the staff and if you like Margaritas…. You NEED to visit. We showed up late since we were traveling from CT so the brisket was not available but I could not be happier with my second choice of the Wing Ding! These might be the best wings I’ve ever had... and I get wings all over including a dedicated trip to Buffalo. If you have ever been to a great BBQ place, they often sell out the more popular items, brisket being one of them since the food is often smoked fresh that day. Wildwood is no different; get there early if you’re going to be disappointed if a particular item is sold out. If you don’t mind being adventurous and taking what cards are dealt, show up at your convenience. But the food, drinks, staff and company are certainly worth the wait if there is one.

I was looking forward to trying this place but when my wife and I visited they were out of nearly everything on the menu. The place could use a couple lights too, it's like walking into a basement. The kitchen and the server could not figure out what they actually did have for food. After initially deciding on something to eat from the limit list of stuff they had according to the server, the kitchen gave a very different list of items. None of which were things we wanted. So we just left disappointed after driving over an hour to go try this place.

We found this place while we were out exploring and it was a great hit! The pulled chicken and pork was absolutely delicious and the corn bread was fantastic. I can't wait to go back. Highly recommend

The food is great! They cook only fresh and for the day. We had ribs, sausage, nachos ... but the briskets were all sold. If you are late, the food might be gone :) The staff is friendly, the ambiance is cozy. There is even a real jukebox!

Cozy place, good vibe, fresh from the smoker ribs, brisket, wings and great side dish choices. Awesome Bloody Mary's and the best Margarita's, anywhere around the Lake Sunapee area. Wait till you try the new bacon clothes line. Get yourself one, it's awesome. Also try your ribs of wings dry their herbs, spices and smoking are the best anywhere around the Sunapee Lake and for miles beyond that.

First time but definitely not the last. The brisket was awesome, nachos delicious, chicken wings delicious. The atmosphere is friendly and prices reasonable. Worth a visit to try one of the best smoke house in NH let me know your thoughts. Great family restaurant

First time going, I went to college out west, it’s very hard to find good BBQ in NH but this place was great! I recommend the sausage.

Food is EXCELLENT!! I’m not Ute which one I should start describing first as everything is soooooo good! We were heading to the north and decided to have the dinner before restaurants are all closed. It’s not a big restaurant but have all good food we need. The drink is good, the sides are so perfect( I even asked for a second corn bread) and the main dish is awesome!! The rib and pulled pork are both good. People there are all friendly and funny. We had a great time there for our dinner.

Found this on our travels through. Food was EXCELLENT, atmosphere great, owner and staff outstanding!! If ever in the area, or even not, definitely worth the trip! I had the BBQ Sundae with side of Mac & cheese w/ cornbread.

Just left this place and let me tell you…. So good! We love BBQ but most places don’t deliver what we are looking for but this place is awesome! The owner as well as employees are great people too. I recommend this place!!

The smell as you walk in the door is worth charging for. Always friendly, quaint, and reasonably priced. Sit on the patio and it is delightful. A hidden gem.

Stellar food, drinks, and hospitality. Came up from NYC for the long weekend and found this little gem in NH. The owner, despite being incredibly busy, took the time to entertain our children. She was a super gracious host and made us feel welcome. We loved the beef brisket and the margaritas on the rocks. Great selection of craft beer. Highly recommend!

The place is small, but unique and I love the decor. The food and service was both excellent. Make sure to come early, as they often run out.

Never ever a disappointment!!! Been going here since they opend been a great bunch of years! Small but lage in customer service and satisfaction! Very personable great small business constantly striving to grow and surprise customers witb new and exciting meals and upgrades. I will alwayd give 110% out of 100 for wildwood. You cant get a better bunch of people owner is amazing and its family run. They do an amazing job i tell every one to go there you will not be let down!!

Brisket and Pulled Pork meals were delicious, a great meal following a great day on the lake.

Interesting local watering hole. Not very large. Had some outdoor and indoor dining. Old saloon decor with native American artifacts. We had the rib dinner which was excellent. The ribs were served wet with a tangy slightly spicy BBQ sauce. Not so spicy that my daughter would not eat so don't worry. The evening crowd is more locals and not really suited for families. Families may prefer take out. Limited parking.

This is a small restaurant with excellent food, smoker on premises. Sides are great and they'll provide pick-up for large parties with a couple of days warning so they can prepare the food.

Found this by accident. Small place...a few tables and a bar. We were lucky to get our group of 10 seated. Food was good. Portions were decent. Value was very good. Enjoyed the food and would come back when we are in the area. Mother & Son owned. Both very nice and welcoming.

Went to Wildwood Smokehouse tonight and the word is just WOW! Food was awesome and the woman who owns the place could not have been nicer. This is a hidden gem for BBQ. We will be back.

Food is fantastic! I had the hungry cowboy sampler so I could try everything (except the wings) and everything was great. Limited seating which they post on the website. Good selection of local beers. They are trying to establish patio seating but they are waiting on the landlord. Most importantly, great people! If you can, eat in...owners and regulars make it a great place to be.

Ordered a BBQ platter. Very tasty. Lean pulled pork which I like. Good service. Included 2 sides. I ate it for dinner over the course of 2 nights because servings are big. Cornbread muffin included.

My wife and I discovered Wildwood Smokehouse during an unplanned weekend getaway. This place was a find! The brisket and ribs were melt-in-your-mouth good! The perfect cap to our evening :) Will definitely come back when we are in the area.

These lovely people are AMAZING at what they do. The atmosphere is inviting, the staff is welcoming and the food is to die for.

On a referral from one of my husband's friends we decided to order takeout from here. We have eaten at a lot of BBQ places, including down south. It said the sides were made from scratch. The coleslaw was okay, albeit a little sweet; The cornbread tasted like Jiffy Mix in little muffin tins and the baked beans tasted like they were Bush's baked beans. I had smoked sausage and beef brisket and it tasted like it had maybe been made the day before. The smoked sausage was very chewy and the brisket was not very juicy. It wasn't horrible but I would not eat here again.

Ok ok so this is the spot for delicious BBQ in Sunapee without a question in my mind. My girlfriend came across there website on accident and noticed almost the whole menu besides a few items are GF. She has a gluten allergy so that is perfect, and with me being from Alabama if there is one thing I know it’s good authentic BBQ. To begin with the parking is ok but is limited. We parked across the street and my girlfriend walked over and picked up our take our order. When she came back to the car from the establishment, she sat down and said “The staff seemed extremely friendly, talkative and the food smells great!” My girlfriend got the Pitmaster meal with pulled brisket and pulled pork with baked beans and a baked potato. It came with cornbread which my son ate and I tried even though I’m not a fan of cornbread (I know I know a southern man who doesn’t like cornbread is strange) it was quite good. It had great flavor and wasn’t quite as dry like a lot of corn breads I’ve had in the past. I tried her pulled chicken and it was perfectly cooked. It basically melted in my mouth and the BBQ sauce was delicious. The baked beans were very well done with a nice robust flavor that I would look for when it comes to BBQ baked beans so excellent job on those. I got the Texas Two Step with onions and peppers sandwich (it’s pulled beef brisket with BBQ sauce on a bulky) with a side of dirty rice. The dirty rice was extremely good it had a nice amount of heat to it that I wasn’t expecting at first but had a great creole style flavor so I absolutely loved it. The sandwich was delicious the brisket was well cooked and fell apart easily as I ate it. The onion and peppers were perfectly cooked with a nice crisp to the peppers. The BBQ sauce on the sandwich was great and went well together as a whole and made an excellent bite. If I had one complaint it would be I would have liked a little more sauce on the sandwich...but that’s it and it’s a small thing to complain about. Overall this is a great place and very well may be my new favorite restaurant. If you’re in the sunapee, Newport, or Claremont area and you appreciate good authentic style smokehouse BBQ then you absolutely need to stop here! If you don’t you will miss out on some great food!

We ending up going twice to this smokehouse The owner is warm and we spent a pretty good time. The food was good, i have not been to many smokehouses to compare, but I can say we had a good time ! Had ribs and chicken and tried my sister's brisket...All were dry and or overcooked. As far as smoked....there just wasn't enough smoke flavor to call it real BBQ. I tried it but wont go back.

Wildwood Smokehouse is spectacular. Though they were sold out of the Hog Wing appetizer I was not disappointed in choosing their Buffalo chicken wings. They were smoky, peppery and delicious. I ordered the Pitmaster with smoked sausage and brisket. Sides were Mac and cheese and cole slaw. The Mac has a nice smoky overtone and the slaw has dill in a classic mayo and vinegar base. Who puts dill in cole slaw? I dunno? Wildwood does, and it works well. All of the food is clearly made in-house and everything was great. The owner/server was welcoming and very friendly. The place is very small, but also, very homey. My girlfriend and I called ahead to check to see if they were open as we read they sometimes sell out and close early. We arrived around 6pm and found immediate seating. We got there at the right time, because within minutes the place was at capacity. I highly recommend Wildwood Smokehouse. Their food was awesome, and the service matched. I am a hard diner to please. But, there was not one thing on my plates that I was even remotely disappointed with. Well done, Wildwood. We'll be back.

This is the very best place to go in the Sunapee area from both a food perspective and an atmosphere perspective. Deb punished that kitchen day in and day out which is why it's a local favorite. It's also one of the very few places that is open all year in the harbor area.

Like draught beer and bbq? This place has it and then some. We both got the pulled pork sandwich (traditional style with coleslaw on the sandwich) it was fresh, tender, and delicious. Meat was piled high. The owner surprised us with free samples of brisket and ribs. Great value and great food, atmosphere. A++

This is a small family friendly spot. The BBQ here meets my requirements... Not too saucey, juicy not over cooked meats. Fresh corn bread, fresh slaw (their recipe had dill which was new for me). The bar was quaint and there is an old world cowboy feel to the joint. I would recommend this place to BBQ fans and although it may not match southern BBQ for New England it will not disappoint. I had the hungry cowboy app and a mix plate of pulled pork and brisket.

The food was delicious, but since it's a smokehouse, I left smelling like smoked meat. Worth visiting at least once.

I can't say if the Wildwood is good or not. I'm here on vacation and was looking forward to some good BBQ and based on the reviews, this looked like the place to be. Unfortunately, it was closed at 8pm on a Wednesday even though the website said it was open. Oh well, I'll have to try again Update: I got to go back and I can definitely recommend the Wildwood. It isn't exactly traditional BBQ, the brisket is like a pulled pork or chicken...but beef. The BBQ sauce was really thin too but all of it tasted great. Portions were just right and the service was top notch. If you're in the Sunapee area looking for dinner ideas, the Wildwood Smokehouse is well worth stopping at.

The food was wonderful! Be prepared to wait a bit and to be really close to your neighbors. Beer selection was nice. BBQ was tender and tasty. Prices were very reasonable. Will be back, often.

We went here for dinner with friends and are so glad we did. It’s small and cozy, with a Western vibe and decor. We had ribs, brisket, pulled pork, a stuffed spud (a baked potato topped with brisket and cheese!), and smoked sausage. Dinners come with cornbread and two side dishes...I chose baked beans and mac & cheese. It was all superb and very reasonably priced. Couple all of that with cold beer and good service, and you’ve got a winner. Give it a try!!

First impressions from outside was that it was a run of the mill local bar, but man was I wrong! Both staff and patrons were very friendly and the food was amazing! Get there early because the tables fill up fast. We will definitely stop by again when we visit our daughter at school.

We had never been to Wildwood Smokehouse before. It's a tiny, cozy "country" place open all year round just outside of Sunapee Harbor. The food--especially the brisket--was great! Deb, the owner, was friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be back!
