We love this place! Fast service, very reasonable prices, and delicious food - all while getting to watch planes take off and land!

Incredibly disappointing experience. We were first told it would be a 30 minute wait to take our order AFTER we got our drinks. We pay for those (no offer to comp) and we’re about to leave and then we get told oh we can take your order now it’ll just be a bit to get the order out. We decide to stay and after another 30 minutes, the food comes out missing items and is wrong. What we were given was bland, except the coleslaw, tasted like it was scraped out of a metal bucket. I honestly can’t believe we wasted our time here.

If you haven’t been to Wing It Cafe, you’re in for a treat. Their stuffed pancakes are absolutely amazing! 🥞✨ Located at 171 Aviator Dr in Fort Worth, Texas, this family-owned restaurant offers delicious breakfast and lunch options. The portions are generous enough to share, and the unique atmosphere allows you to watch small planes land while you dine. I highly recommend it! 🛩️👏

This place is cool, it's in the air port so you can see the small planes take off and land. It is way in the back and kinda hard to find. The service was awesome and the food was tasty! I would recommend this place for anyone.

Great food! Friendly staff! Awesome atmosphere!!! I had breakfast there: blueberry pancakes, four eggs, and bacon…the pancake was ginormous and so delicious. I highly recommend!

Great place to eat. Great service. You hot planes, trains, and automobiles as you eat on the patio. Make sure to sit at the tables closest to the runway if you want to see the planes actually take off. Biggest complaint is the signage for parking. It only makes sense once it is explained. Just add a sign that says cafe parking on other side of the fence. It says Pilots and Planes only, but that is in reference to THAT side of the fence. Other than thay little issue, will definitely be coming back.

Dis is da place when near Haslet! Awesome grub, lovely owners wife, and the owner ain't half bad.

They have a new cook. He is good and now the foot traffic will become more. This cook knows what he is doing for sure.

I am very sorry to write this review but the truth must be told. I accidently got there before they opened. I witnessed this place stockpile cooking a bunch of bacon and put this under a warmer lamp . I find this practice very wrong at a sit down resturant that does not do a buffet . So customers your bacon has been sitting a warmer lamp for God knows how long and is not fresh. I am sorry but I will not be back.

This is a great place with great food. Getting there was a challenge: we arrived at a closed gate leading to the runway. We started cursing our satnav. Fortunately a lady came behind us and told the code. After that everything was just great.

This was a hidden gem, I was able to eat and watch planes fly in and out. Food was soo goood. It’s a cozy place indoors and they have outdoor seating as well. Will definitely come back!

We tried this place today for the first time and will definitely be back. The food was great, the service was amazing. Everyone was friendly and really hustled and made the experience great. Don't let the full parking lot deter you - if you have to wait, it is worth it.

Great food, great service, and lots of fun watching the aircraft come and go, some of which are vintage, such as the Cessna 195 that landed and refueled while I was there.

Wing it Cafe is right off the runway and offers breakfast and lunch. We had breakfast. The breakfast was great! I had the French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon. Service was perfect!

What a great spot! We took my toddler & FIL who was a Captain & we loved it. The service was fantastic, so nice & extremely prompt!

Overall, this is a great place. Good food, good service, cool area. BUT, the brisket is not brisket. It is pot roast. I ordered the special, brisket Benedict. It was a lot of food and tasted good, but it was pot roast!!! Nothing brisket about it. This is Texas, you can’t away with serving pot roast and call it brisket!

Really cool little on-site diner at the airport in Haslet. Seating is a little odd with an offset bar-top for traditional diner seating, and a sunroom to extend an otherwise tiny restaurant. Food was very good and came out quickly, and all plates were priced very affordable. Pictured is the Chorizo breakfast skillet and a traditional burger from the lunch menu, which were both very good. Definitely check it out and take the fam on a weekend to go watch the small planes take off and land on the tiny runway. We will definitely be back.

The food here is so good! When you arrive at Hicks you have to call for the gate code. We sat outside with a great view had great service and even better food. Put this on your places to go.

To describe this place is like finding a diamond in the rough. We've been to plenty of diner type restaurants but absolutely nothing compares. Service was incredible, seated us in the brightest most inviting seat where we could see the airplanes take off. The lovely waitress made suggestions and was on top of everything we needed. The food was the star of the show. Hatch Green Chile Omelet with Slow Cooked Brisket. Biscuit donut holes covered in cinnamon sugar paired with icing. Breakfast Dog was a "Texas sized" sausage link split inside of what tasted like a homemade pretzel bun covered in sausage Gravy, cheese, and soft scrambled eggs. Do I need to explain more? The proof is in the puddin. The menu had your normal diner foods sprinkled with specials like stuffed French toast and wings. I hate to make the Wing It Cafe more packed if people see this review but they deserve it. Enjoy this autumn weather with a cup o joe on their patio and watch the planes take off while you enjoy a warm meal. Love yall!

Listen this is one of the best places that I have found by accident. Let’s start on food I had the Roasted potatoes with Gravy and scrambled eggs you can’t forget the Cholula hit sauce on it gives it an extra kick. Then comes the Wings YALL the wings are smoked they are so tender and flavorful and yummy. I think they lasted a whole 5 minutes before they where gone oh the fries are season fries that you can’t start eating add some secret sauce or ranch OMG. Then the Final plate now this one is my favorite plate of all time. The chicken and Waffle now the chicken is so nicely breaded and cooked to perfection. The waffle was thick and crispy and that is hard to do but it was done here. The butter just melted so perfectly throw the syrup on top and man let me tell you I almost asked for another one to go it was that good. Everything that I have had here is amazing worth the drive and definitely worth every penny. Now on to service from day one that we found this place they have treated us like family. Now the waiters and staff know us and are happy when we come. I have two kids a girl and boy and all the waiters love them. This is definitely one of our favorite places to go eat breakfast or lunch. I did mention they should do mimosas on Sundays they would make a killing. If you haven’t been to this location please take time out our day and go it’s a great place to eat and watch the planes come and go. All the pilots we have meet have been so nice and cool they even offered to take us for a ride but I’m To scared to get on small planes if not I would go. If you do go please be patient and tips the waiters good they do an amazing job. The cooks and management Obviously the management is a good guy he’s out there hustling and bringing out orders as well. The cooks in the back out in there busting out that food as fast as possible they are great at it. The food has great flavor no need to add extra anything like other places.

We have eaten here twice recently. The small airport vibe is cool. Staff is very "neighborhood friendly" the meals we have had were fantastic. A special shoutout to the fries!

Great experience, unfortunately we didn't get to seat outside to hopefully next time. We ordered chicken and waffles and Bob Marley burger with fries. They were both great tasting the waffles and chicken came with a jalapeno syrup that I personally really liked but my wife didn't care for it due to the spiciness. The Bob Marley had thick cut crispy bacon with all the trimmings and a side of blue cheese. They were super packed but still managed to give us our food promptly, the service was amazing as well. Definitely recommend, the only thing that we didn't like much was the size of the parking lot, it's very compact and a lot of Dually's parked making it difficult to maneuver.

Great place to watch the planes right next to the flight line. Food was surprisingly good. Not over-salted, eggs cooked to a perfect scramble. Impressed and tasty. You won’t find that a a random diner. Check this place out.

The service is usually great but, the food not so much. I order the same thing each time - the wings and the All American burger. The burger looks and tastes different each time and, it's always under cooked.

I have enjoyed both breakfast and now lunch, and it is top notch! Just great comfort food, and the service is very down home. You will not be disappointed. Being near RWY14 TO/LDG is of course a plus.

What a fun spot! Had been before when it was Beacon Cafe. New owners did not disappoint! Outdoor patio was clean and comfortable….even with 97 degree day (so far). Food was plentiful and delicious. We had avocado toast, waffle and breakfast tacos. Service was friendly and attentive. LOVED all the planes and trains! Can get a bit noisy but isn’t that what you’d expect next to an air field with tons of planes taking off and landing? So much fun! Reasonably priced as well. Will be back!

First time eating here and I didn't even know it was here I was on the way to Fast Lane to get my car worked on. The food was absolutely amazing and a great price for what we got. Thank y'all so much for the wonderful experience!

Our first visit back to this funky little diner since it changed owners and came back in business as Wing It. The breakfast menu is smaller but still offers a nice selection of a couple omelette options, breakfast tacos (that we had) and eggs made to order. Our host seated us inside promptly when we arrived and our server came over to get our drink orders right away. For breakfast we each had the huge and tasty breakfast tacos with bacon. Sides were the breakfast potatoes, and I was told that the potatoes were sweetened before cooking... possibly soaked in a sugar water brine. I cannot confirm whether or not the potatoes were brined, but those with low sugar diet requirements may inquire about this before hitting the spuds. The bacon and scrambled eggs in the two massive tacos were hot and very tasty, so I'd recommend them. I also have it on good authority that Wing It makes a great burger, so I'll post a follow-up to this review soon and let y'all know. Check them out and enjoy a runway view of Hicks Field if you are an aviation buff...Please obey all traffic and airport warning signs, and yield to any aircraft when entering the property to dine here...This is an active airfield so be safe and enjoy a unique breakfast or lunch experience!

This place is pretty amazing. Never seen anything like it. The restaurant is literally inside the confines of a small airport. You're driving last airplanes taxing to take off and driving by lots of hangars with planes inside being worked on. I thought I got lost and ended up insise an airport and even thought I was gonna get in trouble, Lol. You can even sit outside and watch planes taxi and take off. Can't wait to go again. Oh....the food? Totally AMAZING. Go check this place out now. Won't regret it.

We love going to this cafe when we come up to Fort Worth to visit my parents. This morning when we came was a bit of a hassle because there was a train parked on the crossing next to the airport, but that’s outside of Wing It’s control. Once there, the atmosphere is great, and the food is quite excellent too. It’s an amazing place to go if you have little ones (or yourself) that love planes and trains. Usually quite a few planes doing touch and go’s right off to the side of the cafe for you to watch while you eat, and a rather busy train track just on the other side of the runway. Their burgers are quite good, highly recommend. They’re scrambled eggs do have a bit of an odd flavor to them, at least to me. Their pancakes and waffles are also excellent. Don’t recommend going if you haven’t been.

This cafe is really cute . They have a really good American style menu . The patio is really nice, and you can see everyone flying in or flying out. This is a really convenient cafe for people who own small planes they can fly in and out and eat if they want. The customer service was really great and the food was good. I will be coming back here with my family , I especially like this cafe because it is so close to Haslet , Texas, which is where we reside !

We came here on Father’s Day and unfortunately the experience wasn’t the best. We had joined my sister at her table which had plenty of extra seating, she had let the waitress know we would be joining. We waited over 30 mins and the waitress never came back to the table. We asked another waitress to help and she took our order. It was easily another 30 mins until the food came and only 2 out of the 3 meals showed up. The 3rd meal didn’t meal make its way to the table until about 10-15 mins after and honestly it the French toast was extremely soggy. Only place that put the syrup on for you and by the time it gets to you, the bread is soaked and falling apart. We wanted to really like this place but every part of the experience was a struggle unfortunately.

What a cool experience! Wing It Cafe has exceptional food, friendly staff & a UNIQUE experience dining right off a runway at Hicks Airport. Our sweet server Katie was top-notch and helped us navigate through the yummy menu. Our favorites were the chocolate chip pancakes & chorizo omelet with crispy quartered potatoes. We can't wait to return. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for families, out of town guests & local folks.

Great burger! Surpassed my expectation for sure. I went for the airplanes but I'll go back for the burger! The service was friendly and laid back too. Definitely a regular lunch destination from here on out.

I brought my three, smaller kids here on a beautiful Saturday morning to watch the planes while enjoying a great breakfast. It was so much fun. We had an awesome breakfast (everything was just right) and a terrific morning. If I owned a restaurant, I’d do it just like this. Great food, good choices and options, super attentive and kind staff and all this in a clean environment. These guys get everything right.
