Stopped in after the Fall Bazaar at the Fairgrounds. I think there were maybe 5 other tables,but 4 already had food. Took at least 15 to have someone take our drink order and another 5 to bring it out. Group behind us in seating got their food first. That's never a good sign. Staff was severely over worked. They did try, but it wasn't good enough. Won't be stopping by this location again.

Service slow and prices too highin...It keep getting worse and worse.

1 server. No hurry to wait on you.

Just moved to Florida recently. With moving comes packing and unpacking plus many bruises. I have tried a bunch of the BBQ spots around to try and help with my iron deficiency, this one was not it for me. The ribs were very tough, the brisket didn’t hit like some other spots. The chicken was smoked but a tad dried out. Mac and cheese is my go to side to try and it was mushy. My favorite part of the meal was my Cole slaw. Unfortunately I will not be going back here.

Ordered sweet tea. Tasted old and very strange. Ordered pulled pork sandwich. tasted very strange we both ordered same things and both felt the same way, yuck. with beans, tasted like they had been around for a long time and overcooked.

Over a hour & a half For bbq 2 wraps, with maybe 5 tables in the whole restaurant being used…. Service was terrible, people had been standing at the door for 15-20 minutes to be seated as we were leaving WITH children. Food was the worst I’ve ever had. Woody’s in Palatka was 1000X better before they closed down. Very disappointing!!

Great service. Just wish people would stop eating all the chicken. lol

Pork, beef, Chicken were very dry and couldn't eat it. Service was excellent. Please get a new Chef.

Cold Food. My sandwich was the same Size as My grands child’s Portion

Food was pretty good. Service was good. Only thing I found weird was we had tap water to drink and we were charged for it. Never had that happen before.

Food was what you would expect from Woody’s, atmosphere was pretty relaxed - the staff was quite taxed with the number of call-ins / online orders, which made it hard for them to keep up on the guests in the dining room. Servers were pleasant, but spread too thin in their tasks to be able to give the kind of attention you could tell that they wanted to give to their patrons.

Stopped in for lunch and ordered the pulled pork and the smoked turkey for lunch both were so soft and tender. The sweet potato was amazing too! Our server, Hannah was very kind and attentive, and told us to try the banana pudding, which was very amazing.

This barbecue is not very good. The sides are delicious and the restaurant is very clean and the staff is great. It's just at the barbecue itself is not worth the time

Takeout order: Pulled pork looks like someone put it through a food processor and left it to dry out. The BBQ chicken was equally dry and I had to apply my own dry rub to make palatable. Green beans had no seasoning either, not even salt. After adding salt and pepper at home, the green beans were elevated from prison food to public school cafeteria quality. I enjoyed the sides of mac and cheese, baked beans and the garlic bread more than any of the meats ordered. If you want good, high quality BBQ, go to Sonny's.

Our favorite Friday night place to eat. Great BBQ, salads and burgers.

Great food! Very nice sized portions. Even though it was late at night this location needed more than just average cleaning.

Portions absolutely huge! Catfish fried to perfection, mouthwatering! French fries, baked beans, garlic bread and Cole slaw delicious. Carrie our server was friendly and very attentive. Leftovers will make at least two more hefty meals! Clean, nice bar area with tv. Worth a stop for sure the next time we are in the area . Read it

Only bbq place I've been to recently that the fries were HOT and FRESH and the garlic bread was also hot and fresh. WTG

They don't know what coleslaw or beans is supposed to taste like, but the pulled pork is killer, not overdone, not too big a chunk, seriously good! Idk where they got their side dishes from, fries are good tho

We waited a hr. For our food and it was cold this was at 6pm dinner time and was like they tryed to microwave everything. My baked potato was so cold the butter wouldnt melt. No need in complaining cuz the waitress knew it too. She brought it out to us. Worst place ever wont be back.

Woodys has always been my favorite bar b que for 30 years. Love everything there. If I had a complaint, it’s they haven’t had the rib-eye steak sandwich, which is my favorite meal, the last few times I’ve been there. That’s probably supply chain problems!

Probably the best BBQ place in town! Everything there is delicious. The wait staff are also phenomenal. Extremely friendly and attentive. They know their customers and remember you when you come back. I definitely give Woody's a 10/10. If you are in the area and looking for some BBQ this is the place to go!

Used to go here many years ago..however I really wasn't impressed with the food. Service was good though...but seemed food was lacking a bit.

Food is always great. Wish they stillman you quirky quearuon to call your name out.

The catfish dinner is yummy. I got a sweet potato as a side . Very yummy.

Normally, we get a good meal at Woodys. This last visit the brisket was not very good. Waitresses were outstanding and worked hard to try and make things right.

Ordered to go... I requested twice for BBQ sauce to ensure I received it but it was not in the bag when I got home... Also, there wasn't any Texas toast either... I called but no one took responsibility or accountability either...

Went in there to try to have lunch today, first time back in about 5 years due to bad food and service. Walked in, place was about half full. Me and another person were waiting at the hostess station for approx 5 min with the waitresses walking back and forth with food . No acknowledgement no, we'll be right with you, not even a look in our direction. I get the short staff issue but at least recognize that there's people waiting to be seated.

From the dirty silverware to the disgusting bathrooms Woody’s was very disappointing. The food was cold and bland and even the 3 kinds of Barbecue sauce were in containers so badly worn that you couldn’t read the alleged contents. Ketchup? Nope, it was empty. The order of “‘Barbecue Beans” was watery, cold and overflowing it’s bowl to the point where it couldn’t be eaten with the provided plastic spoon without spilling it. The best thing about it was that the portions were small, so that you didn’t have to suffer much of the food. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!

This was some of the worst food I have ever had. The meat tasted rancid and was so dry you could pick your teeth with it. The smell inside was bad and the soda was flat...I would not recommend!

Always good food, but on this occation the first 2 meals I ordered were not available. I was able to get a good meal, just not the one I wanted. Always clean and family freindly.

Our service was great the young lady did a great job the BBQ just kinda had a tast like it had been cooking for to long .just my own opinion and couple ppl that were in our group there were 5 of us .but our server did well .

Out of several items that was disappointing but service was good

The last time I ordered take out my baked beans were sour and smelled/tasted like dirty dish water. I got very ill from just one huge bite. I called and just wanted to let them know (I wasn't asking for a refund or anything) and they were nothing but rude telling me that the beans were perfect like usual. They were absolutely putrid.

Twice this place has locked the door as I arrived. They like to close up early, or maybe it’s just me. Food alright. Clientele are mostly judgy Jesus people. Take it or leave it.

Food is good the service sucks. We sat down the young lady took our drink order and disappeared. Then anther waitress took care of us. Then it took forever to get the check and pay the bill.

New owner and new faces in service but still best hamburger in city for the money. They got rid of my husband's favorite dish, the chili cheese fries, although if you ask sometimes they still have them.

Definitely would say is not the best place we went there and dinned in and was horrible and couldn't even finish eating cause the waiter did not keep up with drinks to finish eating and we ordered 2 lunch's and they brought out 3 chicken strips for us like wat were we gonna do with that and they were burnt.

Waitress was pleasant. Sweet tea was good. As far as the food though, that's where the pleasantries ended. My baby backs were nothing but fat and grease. My wife's spare ribs were dry and overcooked. Tomatoes and okra was decent as well as the sweet tea. More than likely would opt for another bbq joint if possible.

If you are looking for a family owned and family friendly barbecue restaurant this is the place. You know when the local cops come there to eat and pay for their food it's gotta be good.

Excellent service. Though it was hard to tell that they were open on July the 4th. Alot of restaurants were closed and Green Cove looked desolate. If they had signage outside they wouldn't have been empty with very little customers.

Waited thirty minutes to get food. Only six people at one on afternoon on a Monday. Ordered rack of wings baby back and other person ordered just chicken. Ribs looked burnt and had been in an over for a week could not even pull apart and were like eating jerky. Have them back to waitress and said that. Was starving so ate my sides of coleslaw and beans. The chicken was size of wings and fries were crunchy literally like potato chips everyone one of them.so they ate the beans that came with meal and the chicken wing sized drumstick. Left the rest was terrible.so we go to leave and they literally took off the ribs and charged for everything else. I hardly ever write reviews except when this extreme.wish I would of taken pic of both meals.

I love love my woodys!! My favorite location in jax is Atlantic & University!!! The pulled pork doesn't even need sauce!!!!

None of the meat had any flavor at all. Thankfully they have sauces. I would not recommend this place.

Walked in and was seated. Told our waitress we needed a couple of mins. 20 mind went by, she keeps walking past helping everyone except us. We will NEVER be going back.

Went in on my lunch break at 12:10 left there at 1:15. Server was very nice but the wait time on food was terrible. Went way over on my lunch break for below average bbq. Won’t be back

We went to Woody's after attending the Strawberry Festival on Sunday, and I'm sure that contributed to them being sold out of some menu items. However, the staff was super friendly and helpful, offering suggestions. The food was ok. We had the pulled pork sandwich with fries and the BBQ chicken with fries. The pork was tender and juicy, but it lacked the smoked flavor. The chicken had the smoked flavor, unfortunately it was dry. The fries also seemed to be overcooked. All of this may have been due to the unexpected festival crowd.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I’ll start by saying I visited the Green Cove location so maybe keep that in mind as you read my review. Don’t go there. Don’t waste your afternoon thinking “oh I wanna try a new place, this is cute” because I did that and here was my experience. Firstly, we didn’t get our drinks until a good 10 mins after they seated us. We ordered beer on draft, one was flat, the other had a mysterious black hair floating in it-so both were not particularly drinkable. Asked for another (without even mentioning the hair because I didn’t want spit in my food) never got it. Mind you we were one of maybe 4/5 tables in the entire restaurant so they didn’t appear to be overwhelmingly short staffed or some other perfectly valid excuse for a missed request like that. (I mean I’m understanding to a degree) So we finally just accept we aren’t having anything to drink and when our waitress finally gets to us, we order our food, all of it was wrong. Like not even like a little mistake, but like the meal was pulled pork and there was no pulled pork -like what..?? If I wasn’t so hungry I would have found it as comical as I do now as I write this review. The staff were not super polite. Not overly rude either, but just one of those “blah, why the heck are people eating here right now this is our break time” kinda attitudes. Over all, this is hands down the worst restaurant I’ve been to. Probably ever. The food was terrible. The drinks were terrible. The service was just so wildly disappointing that I couldn’t even believe the check when I did finally get it after asking 3 different waitresses for it. Like how can this dump be so expensive?! So all in all my review is 0 stars. Do not go. & for the love of God if you do not heed this message and do decide to visit this dumpster fire of a restaurant order a bottle of beer. Never draft.
