Great food and though they were crowded, they did an amazing job turning tables around. Very helpful waiters.

Fun food to share! We loved the duck buns, eggplant appetizer, fried oysters, Naruto roll, truffle sashimi, and special lobster roll with bacon and tomato. So many delicious, surprising flavors.

Tried to upcharge me $10 for one thing of rice. Do not recommend will rob you.

The sushi is delicious. It is so fresh and unique. The service was excellent. The owner is 93 years old and still comes around to make sure everything is good and you are happy with the food and service. His energy and happiness is contagious! That aside, the prices are excellent and the food was excellent!

The chicken lettuce wrap is my favorite as a dinner options and filling!!! I love this place!!!

Went on a Saturday night with a party of 6. Atmosphere is extremely loud. Food wasn't terrible, but wasn't the best so a bit overpriced. The Painted Lady sushi is the best thing we ate. Fried oysters were just okay, Kung Pao shrimp not as tasty as PF Chang's and have had much better pad Thai. That being said, the General chicken and lamb chops were good.

Oysters and sushi were on point. There was love put into this establishment. Daily specials. Extremely fresh. I believe the owner was sitting at the bar, he was a sweetheart.

Service was amazing, food even better. Byob. Highly recommend sushi in any form and the XO Fat noodles were great.

First time here and I have to type this is my fav sushi place in all of the Jersey. What a creative menu. Loved the bacon, cheese and egg fried rice! The tuna sticky rice excellent! Had the Kobe beef. Loved it. And then had three special rolls. All delicious. Steve was very nice who sat us and Sammy a great server. We’ll be back and so should you!

The food was good. The food was rushed. We were shocked that after we were done eating and trying to enjoy the wine we brought the waiter asked us to leave that they had to give table to someone else.. we made a reservation for 6 pm. We had spent over 175 for a party of 4 snd was treated like this. Shame on them

Normally I like what I order. Had chicken pad Thai last night. It was awful. Not what I expected. I've never had orange colored pad thai before. It looked like a dish of spaghetti in tomato sauce.

I know 3 different people who have went here within the last week and all have been extremely ill from the food they have eaten here. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Will be calling the health department. If you havent gotten sick consider yourself extremely fortunate.

I saw this place on a friend’s story and immediately made my boyfriend take me here. It was my first experience and the food was worth the spontaneous hour long drive. Will be back whenever we are dts 💖 delicious fresh oysters!

Excellent meal! Everything looked so good and we just barely ordered everything we wanted! BYOB was a huge plus. Service felt a little rushed which I get since they don’t have a bar. The restaurant was entirely too loud. Couldn’t hear the person speaking next to me. I’d recommend the duck buns, king pao chicken, and beef takaki. I’d go back if I was ever visiting again but maybe take out next time!

The absolute best sushi in the area. We love Xina and everything we’ve ever eaten here. Any time we order from here or take friends here, everyone loves it. One of our favorites is the everything bagel roll.

Our waiter was very knowledgeable, explained to the one person in our party who hadn't had suchi before and was helpful with my gluten free needs. Food was excellent. Although we had suchi and rolls there are several non raw entries, including non seafood. Everyone in your party will enjoy Xina. Just make sure you make reservations well in advance.

I truly want to love it here and I'm sure many people will disagree with what I'm saying but unfortunately while the chefs menu ideas sound great, they are executed without flavor. They get me every time with the selection of specials because they all sound delicious. Unfortunately time and time again, I order and wonder what happened to all of the delicious ingredients. They have the potential for greatness but the chefs are afraid to use the ingredients. I remained hopeful for many years, but am forced to come to terms with the fact that the food is only delicious in theory.

This is my all time favorite restaurant! Everything tastes fresh and delicious, using the highest quality ingredients. The menu, although small, is incredible. The restaurant has some super fun specials regularly. Nothing you order will be of disappointment. I highly recommend calling for a reservation, even during off-season.

I have been here twice now. Both times were excellent. The only “bad” thing but they fixed it and made room for us, is they booked our reservation for the wrong day ( off by a day) but again they made room for us on a Saturday night. There were only two of us though, don’t know if they could or would have accommodated us otherwise. Food and service were great both times! Prices very reasonable!

It's been awhile since I had good sushi and the oyster bar had a good selection with house sauces available.

As a return customer to Xina, I can confidently say it's the best sushi and Asian cuisine on the island. The service is superb, and the food is always fresh, prepared with utmost care and quality by the chefs. This is a five-star experience all around. I congratulate the owners and staff at Xina for maintaining such high consistency every time I visit.

Bar none the absolute best service you will ever get on the east coast!! Beyond attentive staff, and about that food!! The sushi, the entrees, and starters are incredible!!! Everything about the restaurant is simply incredible!! We will be going back again, and again, and again, and again!!! Love it here. And the owner if your catch him is awesome!! Say hi!!!

We went there for Mother's Day. We had a reservation and got seated right away. We had oysters and the baked clams for appetizers! They were fabulous! We had a number of rolls for dinner and they were really unique, fresh and delicious. Our server was very attentive and kind and the view of the bay was lovely. We will be back!!

My great girlfriends took me to lunch here for my Birthday. Fabulous food, I had the walnut shrimp which was excellent. This place does not look so inviting from the outside but is lovely inside. Great service and would go for sure again.

If there was a rating higher than a 5, I would have selected it as this place is awesome! During the New Jersey summer months it may be difficult to get in though but definitely worth trying. Enjoy!

Favorite spot for sushi and other Asian dishes. Chef continues to amaze with specialty rolls and food. Whatever specials they have GET it. you won't go wrong and they change often so enjoy while you can. Also a byob

Both my wife and I had General Tso’s Chicken which was fantastic! Wonton soup was great. Service was great and you have to bring your own alcohol. Highly recommend! We returned last night and again everything was fantastic! They had a special , Garlic Parmigiana Chicken Dumplings! Unbelievably great! Like mixing Italian with Chinese! Our waiter, Dave M. was also very friendly and knowledgeable! One of my favorite places to go!!

Food was just okay. Sushi tasted dry and rice was falling apart. Enjoyed the views, and dining room experience.

They charge a processing fee for credit cards stead of adjusting the prices. It's false advertising if you ask me. I go to a place that charges a fee once.

Oysters on the half shell were delicious albeit expensive at 3 for $15. The sushi was average, some pieces being too large to eat in one bite. The atmosphere isn’t great — old worn wood tables that are very close to one another. . . like eating with strangers. And LOUD! very very loud making it hard to talk across the table without yelling.

Sushi place right off the bay, with some great views. Much bigger inside than it appears. Large sushi bar area. No alcohol, so bring your own. Special were very unique mix of ingredients. Sushi was done well and service was good. The Wasabi and avocado was not as fresh as I would like it, bit discolored, but the fish tasted good.

Came here tonight as a party of 8 for a birthday. Absolutely impeccable service. Very attentive to cleaning the table, refilling glasses..... so impressed.

Always delicious and super fresh everytime we come here. One of my favorite things to order is when they have the Nashville hot chicken dumplings special & raspberry point oysters when they have them. The sushi combinations are unique and great size portions and the milk pie is a must try!

Absolutely top notch staff. Food was excellent. Can not say enough how wonderful we were treated and the food was fantastic. Made a mistake on ordering and forgot to ask about a vegan option and the staff noticed something was wrong. We felt terrible as it was completely our mistake and don't ever want to make a fuss especially since it was our mistake. However the staff went completely above and beyond. Sushi chef ate, then cupped water into his mouth, rinsed and spit into the bar sink. This was right in front of us as we ate, 1.5 feet from our dinner plates. Yum. Original below, still true, even the silverware... The great part first. The food and staff here have been consistently outstanding since they opened. I prefer to sit at the sushi bar as sushi and rolls are prepared by hand in front of you, adding to the experience. The food is reasonably priced comparative to far inferior local eateries. I have three complaints that will seem petty: 1) the patrons tend to be an unnecessarily loud bunch of transplants, wannabes and woo-girls 2) the lack of acoustic engineering amplifies the obnoxious folks in the table section 3) the silverware isn't fit for the Toms River Diner back in the early '90s (I don't understand why such a simple thing is left wanting).

I'm not a sushi lover but it is always a treat to come here. My friend loves all things seafood and if it has squid, octopus, scallops, lobster. or oysters in it, she orders it and it's always a treat. Yesterday she had some fantastic roll thing and I had miso soup and shrimp tempura. I also love the lettuce wraps so there is something for all palates. We love to sit at the large U shaped bar and watch the sushi being made but there are also many tables to accomodate larger parties. You MUST try this place. It is right at the western end of the Seaside Heights bridge and there is plenty of parking.

My husband made reservations here for Valentine's day. Everything was fantastic! 😍 Planning on making a reservation for my son's birthday as well.

This was our first time there and I can honestly say the first of many more to come. Everything was great. The atmosphere, the staff, the food was unbelievable. What an awesome selection of sushi rolls and platters! I thought the menu was awesome but the specials were just as great too.

I’ve been here many times and I just wanted to come in with my boyfriend for our favorite rolls. We were tired and just expecting the to come and get some great sushi like normal. Tonight just blew my mind more …. And again! Our server spit out an eloquent menu like it was a normal Tuesday haha. And she was so nice! The food doesn’t even need to be questioned, it is TOP NOTCH! We just wanted to write and let you all know that we had another amazing experience and cherish this place & the employees that we love. I always say it comes from the top… They treat us with respect because management Train and respect them!

One of if not the best sushi in the area. They also have great dinner plates as well but I always go for the 🍣. Atmosphere is great, friendly staff and BYOB makes it even better. Great spot for a dinner date or quick sushi bite

The place was busy so we sat at the bar. Our waiter was amazing. My glass was never empty and he was great at checking in. Food was flavorful and fresh. I can see why this place was packed.

Sushi great, chinese and thai not even close. hot and sour was ‘ok’ , didn’t see evidence of any chicken or pork. tofu was scarce. flavor was not robust . Pad thai , very bland. lots of noodles but lacked a protein , no cilantro or fresh bean sprouts. pineapple fried rice , lots of rice not much of anything else

Cons: - None! Xina absolutely delighted me! The service was warm and knowledgeable, the atmosphere was spotless and inviting, and the view of the bay was beautiful. I appreciated their healthier options like brown rice sushi rolls, and the freshness of the fish was remarkable. The restaurant's decor added a touch of sophistication. I can't think of a single thing they could improve on - a rare feat! Five stars and highly recommended. Xina is a gem in Toms River!

The two week reservation in the summer is justified, I suggest to keep that in mind. I’ve been here twice in two months, it’s now the fall of 2023. A small place just off of Seaside New Jersey. That has a nice size sushi bar. and probably 15 tables but the food is outstanding. It’s a BYOB place. My wife’s not a seafood eater and there’s several things on the menu that are delicious enough to keep her happy. I have ordered four different sushi rolls. All were great and unique and oyster appetizer, as well as spring rolls. All very good. I haven’t eaten at the sushi bar yet but it was full. Maybe holds 30 people. So it’s huge, but has a very nice view from across the toms River into the bay. Looking towards Seaside. Really nice vibe. New Jersey shore prices are like New York City prices you’re not getting out of here under $30-$50 if you have appetizers and a meal. The price might be faint of heart but with a BYOB policy it seems expensive but not for the area and not for the view those are both terrific

Sushi is always good. Love their hot and sour soup. The baked clams are so good also. You will need reservation during the weekend. There is something for everyone. Its BYOB. The XOXO roll was amazing.

1st time here. Best sushi I've ever had. Ordered the special, scallop roll and another roll Chilean seabass excellent food. Service was excellent. Nice atmosphere. Can dress casual . We will be back.

I loved my experience at Xina so much! It has lovely views of the water and a really cool sushi bar to sit at. The food is delicious and I hope to get back up there soon!

Besides the rudeness from the waitress, my family and I all went home with food poisoning. I spent my night with diarrhea and vomiting. This was the first and last time going to this place. Food poisoning was not even from having sushi because we ordered meals with beef and chicken only. Im really upset about this! $209 later and couldn't even keep it down!

A wonderful experience with immensely tasteful food and incredibly attentive and friendly service. It’s BYOB too which is always a nice plus! Definitely worth the trip over the bridge if you’re staying in one of the nearby beach towns. We can’t wait to go back. Plenty of room for big parties and the portions are huge, we were stuffed.

Everything was amazing from the walnut shrimp to the fried rice with whole fried eggs on top and the special coconut curry soup with noodles, eggplant, shrimp and extra tender chicken strips. If you want excellent Chinese food or sushi combined with a side view of the bay at the tip of the seaside bridge, you must go!

Everything was amazing ! Crab salad was enough for two people but we still ate our own . Shrimp appetizer was great . Sushi rolls were fresh and it’s byob . We had the special collab with burger 25 and it was amazing ! I’d definitely consider keeping it as a special roll ! Wild drove 45 minutes and will definitely be back . I also think it’s a great value as all food was only 70 something.

Although I always thought the food was good, I haven’t been to Xina in years but we stopped in a few times this summer and it was outstanding! We were seated super quickly at the bar on a busy saturday and the service was great. Food was sooooo so good. Rock shrimp was perfectly crispy and saucy. Rolls were so fresh and delicious. Crispy rice spicy tuna was amazing! and the udon noodle special was so yummy. It is also byob! Can’t wait to come back!
