Literally one of my favorite restaurants on the planet. Everything I've had there is so good (I love the lemongrass chicken). The owner is SO nice and sweet. Very well priced; portions are generous. Lots of seating so it's never packed. Highly, highly recommend this restaurant. Feels like home.

Great presentation, pork vermicelli was delicious as were the crepes. Definitely will be back!

my friends and i had passed by this place so many times contemplating if we should go in. today, we did and were so happy we did. we were greeted by the sweetest couple who owns the restaurant with big smiles. the food was delicious, service was great and we will definitely come back. thank you!

I like this place but they are actually too expensive. I normally pay $8-$9 for a lunch chicken fried rice, but here for a lunch chicken fried rice, I pay $16-$17 & you get less food. But they are so nice I come back every now and again. 😃

I don’t want to give this place a bad review so I’ll give it a “meh” because the service was great until I went to pay in cash and was given a dirty look because I paid almost to the dollar. I was searching in my purse for exact tip money and the person stood there glaring at me until I looked up surprised. I still tipped ! I ordered egg rolls for there which was good and sandwich to take home to eat. When I got here the sandwich was front loaded (very sad to see) ripped off half the bread and made a partial sandwich with the rest. The taste was there but the cheapness of front loading made it not worth the price. Or the grimacing over a cash tip 🤦‍♀️

For being in pecan plaza, this place is much nicer than the strip mall would have you believe. Delightful, charming atmosphere inside, absolutely delicious food and very generous portions for the price. The staff was incredibly kind and friendly, we felt at home from the moment we walked in the door. If you like Vietnamese food, or just want a nice cafe vibe, you can't go wrong here. Definitely try the smoothies too, they're a little pricey but they're real fruit and home made, so it's understandable. Very good! Five stars.

Owner was so sweet and the food was really fresh and amazing! I really loved the fact that they had vegetarian options without any seafood and the pho was warming and flavorful! 10/10 would recommend and more college students should come here!

Lovely family owed restaurant. Food was delicious I got the rice crepe and the portion was pretty big . Came out fast and hot. 10/10 great options if your vegetarian. The man serving us was very sweet . No wait time .

Service is very nice. The brisket in my pho however tasted old and was gooey, not fresh and pleasant. Ended up not eating it :/. Broth was good.

YaYa Vietnamese Cafe on 38th had just what I wanted, a delicious banh mi. I got the BBQ pork bahn mi with an avocado smoothie. Very clean inside and staff are super friendly. I definitely want to go back!

The food here is delicious and affordable. The man who owns it is super nice and has a great memory, he always asks about my family and is just a great guy.

The tastiest and most wholesome Vietnamese food I’ve had in Austin. I always start with the tofu spring rolls. The fried rice and lemongrass tofu are my favorite dishes. One lovely aspect of visiting here is being greeted by the owner Sinh, a sincerely good man that cares about putting out positive vibes and having heartfelt conversations. I’m grateful 🙏

Great food, but very overpriced

Fresh ingredients and great flavor. We loved our meal, I especially liked my pork banh mi and mango smoothie. The prices are really affordable. Definitely recommend!

My wife said it was her new best pho in Austin. The fried rice was good, but not great. Next time I'll bring my own hot mustard because they did not have any.

YaYa has the best Vietnamese coffee in town! By far best egg rolls I’ve ever had, food is all good and very fresh. Owner is a very down to earth, and personable. I went there frequently, for coffees and was always greeted like a friend and had very good conversations while waiting. Great locally owned restaurant! Thanks yaya!

This is the cleanest Vietnamese food I've ever eaten! I do no like Pho but I can eat this pho. Everything is made fresh per your request. The restaurant was clean and I loved the fixtures. Service was prompt and friendly.

Delicious soul-restoring broth imbibed noodles. The Pho manages to balance beefiness with fresh greens perfectly. The Yo Yo noodles are garlicky pork goodness. Will come again and again.

YaYa's is consistently good. The owner is very friendly and makes an effort to get to know his regulars. Everything I've had here has been delicious.

Wow. So fresh. So delicious. This is a hidden Austin Gem. The rice! Not all rice is created equal my friends. I don’t know where Yaya sources their rice, but it is incredible. Charcoal chicken. Delicious. Pho is amazing.

I’ve eaten here twice and I really enjoyed it both times. The pho, rice dishes, vermicelli dishes, and crepes are great!

Pretty Sad portions for the price. The pictures on the website are a total hype. Just paid $30 (online convenience fee + tip included) for a very light meal. Banh Mi was $10.50 and had more bread and jalapeno than anything else, barely any meat. Absolutely nothing special about the $7.50 spring rolls and $4.50 egg rolls. I ordered the Pork & Shrimp Spring Rolls, only received Shrimp, and the rolls were terrible. Fish Sauce is usually .50 to $1 (if not free) almost anywhere you go, but it is $1.50 here. There are so many better/cheaper Vietnamese places in the area that offer larger portions and better flavor.

Food is tasty and homey, and the owner is friendly. I've had a few different dishes from them and always enjoy it. A nice place to come and indulge in good, honest cooking without the flash or pricetag of some other Vietnamese offerings in Austin.

I wish the portion sizes were bigger, but the sesame chicken and vermicelli bowl were amazing!!!! They know their stuff. Also had a yummy smoothie :)

Hand down the best pho is Austin I’ve tried them all. Not too sweet or too much star anise. I mean they make their own peanut sauce for the spring rolls, attention you detail. Also they make you feel right at home.

I had some business in the area and stopped in for some Pho due to other reviews. I was not disappointed. Everything was delicious. The only thing I did not like personally about the Brusket Pho I ate, while very tasty the brisket had no taste and there was a lot of fat vs meat in the pho. It didn't ruin the pho I just pushed it aside. Overall, YaYa is worth the stop to enjoy the great service, the owners, and comforting Pho👍👍👍👍👍

I was never a Vietnamese food lover. But a friend of mine is complete foodie. So I tried. He absolutely loved the Banh Mi sandwich and i so loved the vermicelli with charred broccoli and shrimp. I have such a new love for this type of food. And the staff is so personable. Definitely coming back when we are town!!

My husband and I have been going here for years. We love the food and the owners are such kind people. A favorite for great food and a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

To be fair, most businesses in the service industry have to be struggling right now. However, the food that my wife and I got (Mi Combo, Mi Seafood Wonton, Spring Rolls) was so incredibly bland and unappealing. We couldn't even finish our dishes because we'd rather save the calories and fix something at home in 5 minutes that tastes better. We love Vietnamese food, but what we got was very underwhelming, and extremely disappointing. This was our only visit to this restaurant, and honestly, we have no reason to go back. Again, we do understand that now especially is a tough time for food service, and we hope this is experience is an anomoly.

Family run Vietnamese restaurant, enjoy the amazing flavors their food has to offer at a reasonable price. The grilled pork or chicken vermicelli with egg rolls is one of my favorites, stop by and enjoy a bowl. Open for lunch and dinner.

(Reposting from Yelp) YaYa Cafe is a neighborhood gem and the owner is very warm and always down to chat. The food is hot and delicious (and lots of options for vegetarian folks as well). My go-to order is tofu spring rolls, tofu banh mi, and tofu pho... and leftovers make a great lunch the next day! I know that times have been tough recently due to the pandemic and the labor shortage, so would highly encourage anyone to dine-in or do take-out and support this local business.

YaYa’s is my favorite restaurant in Hyde Park! I love their pho and hu tieu. They’re only open during the week right now because they’re short staffed but make an effort to check them out because the food is worth it!

Very kind staff, solid Vietnamese coffee, comfortable environment. Not only for people dining in, but students as well, they had no problem with me not ordering food and just having a coffee and water. I stop in the area once or twice a month and will be coming here more often.

Delicious food served by super friendly people!

I ordered the Banh Mi. The sandwich that came out was smaller than expected, and had a pretty minimal amount of meat on it. For a $9 sandwich, it was pretty expensive. The bread was good, but I do not think that I will be coming again. There are definitely better places to get Banh Mi.

A lot of vegetarian options. Tofu is great. Vegetables dishes are fresh and delicious. Love the veggies soup!

I had the seafood pho and let me tell you, it was the best pho I’ve had in Austin. I’ve tried many pho restaurants and this one is number 1 out of the hundreds of restaurants I’ve tried. Also, phenomenal service! Highly recommend.

The pho is top tier. Rich broth and lots of tender meat. The owner is awesome. Very friendly and helpful. Its hard to find authentic food in Austin, but YaYas is a hidden gem.

Staff friendly, food is tasty, service is fast, but the portion sizes are not enough. I ordered the General Tso chicken and my friend ordered the combination fried rice. The amount of protein was less in both plates and is not enough to fill appetite.

I was looking for a place just for Vietnamese coffee for my gf. Went to a truck 1st but it was closed. Found Yayas next. I ended up with 2 coffees and a tofu and a grilled pork Bahn mi sandwich. Let me say this, I am not normally into tofu but these sandwiches are fantastic. The staff is incredibly nice and suggested a knock out. I'll probably be back weekly for a while. Clean place, friendly staff, good food. 5 stars.

I love yayas I've never been disappointed by this place. Their veggie pho is so bomb and they have plenty veggie options to choose from. Also the man who works there is very friendly! it's affordable too. EAT HERE.

Great spot for Vietnamese soup! Spring rolls are not worth it; I wouldn’t get it again. Wonton soup was great as well.

Love this place! Great atmosphere because Sing, the owner, is a good man with a heart of gold. My favorite is the vermicelli beef. I eat low carb so I order with more vegetables and less vermicelli. My, husband, who lived in Thailand, loves the beef stir fry rice. Dine in or carry out, Yaya is heart-warming comfort food and should thrive in these tough times.

Stopped in for the first time for some lunch. This place is great. Owner is very friendly. Really enjoyed getting to know him. Ordered rare beef pho. I travel to lots of cities and eat pho often. This is definitely the best bowl of pho I’ve had. When my travels bring me near here again I will definitely be back.

The pho here is unbelievably good. I’ve been coming here for almost a year and the pho has always been consistently good. I have tried many places but the taste of the broth at this location is savory and perfect. Their egg rolls and Thai tea are also very tasty. Their customer service is excellent. I will say they are a bit pricey but worth it.

Wonderfully fresh & flavourful. My sister had the chicken bun and while there was a merely adequate amount of chicken it was cooked beautifully and the flavour was outstanding. I had the seafood sizzling rice crêpe and it was a glorious mix of crispy, chewy, and soft while the crab & squid in particular were tasty and perfectly cooked.

Food was very good. But so very expensive. 5 shrimps and 2 small egg rolls and a tea for $18!!!!

Staff was very nice and helpful. I got the pho and it was your typical pho which is good! Nice broth and noodles. Lots of optional additions to the noodles. Tender meat. I dunno it was good. Place was clean and good atmosphere. Recommended.

This small cafe makes several varieties of authentic Vietnamese food, including Bahn mi sandwiches, Pho soups, Vietnamese crepes, plus several excellent rice or noodle bowls. After a lifetime of travel and living in Asia, this is one of our favorite lunch places in Austin.

Everything about our visit was really wonderful ...delicious food...beautifully prepared and presented. The server was a treat.. ..he was nice and very profesional. My eldest son enjpyed our visit so much ...he returned the next day to savor this quaint little spot...quickly rose to a favorite spot.

Nice location, a gem that needs to be discovered looking for Vietnamese food on north campus/north university of UT Austin on Guadalupe Street. The Pho noodle soup is recommended.
