Great little shop next door, but the prices can be HIGH. Started to get some of the items online. Come here for the football and full English for a taste of home! Fair pint too.

What an amazing place to get afternoon tea! Afternoon tea in LA can be so overpriced but this place is perfectly reasonable and delicious. I will keep going back! The service is always great too.

The service here is very warm, pleasant and friendly. The food is really delicious and yummy as well. Really enjoyed everything, especially their customer interaction/service. Their food sizes are pretty good, a tad bit on the pricey side but still pretty fair overall. Nice atmosphere, especially the outside. Good food and good dessert selection, too. All in all, very good service, people and location.

Great English style pub in the heart of California. provides a good, huge variety of sandwiches, and more, which are accompanied by excellent beers, with that "British" touch in the USA. recommended for those who want to try excellent specialties!

Cool place with great food. Ate outside, which was fun for people watching. Scotch egg was great with chips and brown gravy.

The food was okay for the price but not great. The beef was overcooked for medium and all the dishes were very salty. The server was friendly but not super helpful either.

No one comes by to refill the water The worst curry I’ve ever had in my life. All frozen vegetables (if you consider peas vegetables), white-people rice. The whiteness made me almost forget I was in California, pretty accurate of British food I guess The vibe is cute tho. The decor and smell reminds me of hostels in London so the “British pub” is pretty accurate in that sense too

Cute English pub just seconds from Santa Monica Beach! The scotch egg with spicy mustard is delicious! Also had the fish and chips, Shepards pie and the steak and mushroom pie and the clam chowder. Everything was amazing!

Grabbed a couple beers. Out off Magners cidre but still had Smithwicks! Overall, fun, quaint little bar 1 block from the beach ⛱️

Came here for the 1st time w/9 fam members. It's a fave of my Aunt & Uncle's. The food, finger sandwiches & pastries were very, very good & tasty. My brother & I had the Vanilla Tea. So, sooo good. The other teas our grp had were the Earl Grey & Asom.

We didn't expect a British experience in Santa Monica, but we got one. The place looked good for lunch and we were surprised to find dishes like Shepherds pie and Indian curry's on the menu in addition to the typical burger. We had steak, shepherds pie and a tika massala. All tasted really good and at very reasonable prices, especially considering the location. Service was also very friendly.

First off no excuse for $5 Ice Tea ... outside of burgers & fries maybe the fish n chips...food is a 👎

Had the fish and chips. The fish was good not great the chips were very marginal. Friendly service, but I'd give it a pass.

Shocking espresso martini. Even more shocking that this drink was literally invented in London. Even more shocking is that something can be this bad and still be involved in a transaction.

Very British. I introduced my future daughter in law to shepherds pie. She and I both agree the gravy was amazing. She noted the potatoes were delicious and the meat was very rich. I had bangers and mash. The only difference to actual British food is the toughness of the sausage casing. Otherwise yummy and with the drive

Enjoyed Tea Service at an outside table. Server was overly occupied by a large party indoors and apologized for being absent and rushed. Tea service itself was poorly done (no introduction to the teas nor brewing guidance). The tower of sandwiches, scones, savories, and sweets were beautifully presented and delicious.

The food doesn't taste like anything, we ordered several dishes and it was horrible without flavor.

Just tried to stop by this place and the bouncer at the door, in 2024, said “I already have too many white people”. Place was slow with maybe 6-8 people in it, who may have been white……but wow

I would not rate their English dishes at all, Scotch Egg was pretty awful, sausage rolls were just ok. Service was pretty slow. Just because you put a few British flags on a wall does not make it a British pub.

Staff is from the UK, I believe. Or their accents are spot on

The fish and chips were very good, huge portions. The chicken Samosas were just ok. It has the vibe of an authentic English Pub and can be very loud, even during lunch.

I really enjoyed the place. Had the fish and chips. The batter was great, fish was cooked just right. Only thing needed was some more seasoning. Service was great. English pub atmosphere was great.

If I lived in LA I would come here frequently for a taste of home. Like everywhere in California it is expensive but compared to everywhere else in the area it did not feel over priced.

$20 minimum to watch a Euro game? I walked into Kings head as I have been doing for years, intending to watch a game with my usual English muffin and coffee. I order (after 20 min of not being acknowledged, and look down to see a piece of paper that says “$20 per person minimum”. I ask the server how strict they are on this, as the bar was only 60% full at 10am, and she said “I’ll let you off this time”. Are they crazy? I’m trying to relax and watch a soccer game at 10 am and they are charging 20 bucks a head? Not coming here anymore to watch soccer games if they continue, it’s not worth going broke to come here.

Food, service and atmosphere was good. Not pleased to be told happy hour was on the patio and at the bar but NOT the tables inside! And found out at "bill time". WTH?

great place but the outdoor seating is too small and hard to get around, staffs were fine but service was not attentive - i think they are understaffed great fish n chips! fish slices were thick and the batter was thin and crispy steak was okay, given that it is a seafood restaurant, a bit too chewy

Great British-themed pub with freshly-prepared authentic dishes. Staff is friendly and helpful. Fun place. Very busy on days of big games, but there still might be space outside.

British pub in Santa Monica. There is plenty of inside and outside seating. A British decor theme throughout the pub. We had a tuna melt sandwich, for $17, which was very nice. It came with chips and coleslaw.

What a charming establishment! I have been craving British food for a while and had unexpectedly stumbled upon King’s Head while in Santa Monica. The food was amazing, the service was incredibly hospitable. I wish i had ordered the scones but will surely be back if I’m in the area :)

The waiter John was amazing and the food was fairly good. We had a mimosa, Bloody Mary, crab cakes, and roasted brussel sprouts. We sat outside and it was a beautiful day.

Ordered vegetarian breakfast. It came with real eggs and sausage. When I brought this to Caroline’s attention. She said that’s how it comes. There were no meat substitutes and that she “knew the struggle bec she was a vegan for six years.” I should have sent it back, but I’m flexitarian, so I thought I’d give it a try. Bottomline: it wasn’t worth the money. I much prefer to get what I ordered. The cappuccino was good.

Friendly place w great history but got food poisoning from the fish cakes and it is very dark with bartenders making a face if you dont have an open tab

We celebrated my wife's birthday here. Tea isn't my thing, but the ladies had a great time. My quiche and salad were top notch. We parked in the public lot 6 less than half a block inland. We will go again.

Great, traditional English pub in Santa Monica. Outdoor seating and plenty of bar seats if you want to watch a soccer game. Didn't eat while we were there. Check it out!

I had a friend who was visiting from out of the country, and I am incredibly disappointed to report that our server was beyond rude, demeaning, and inappropriate. When we first arrived, she asked us to switch tables because she didn’t want an international table. Then, after we paid the bill, she proceeded to come to our table and say “I know you’re not from around here and probably don’t understand this, but the minimum tip percentage here and everywhere else is 20%.” My friend had originally left 10%, but after this spectacle, she deserved zero.

Poor beer selection. Only one genuine English ale in tap mostly just overpriced domestics.

My group had a great time there on a very rainy day, which added to the atmosphere. The food was so delicious and there was a lot of it. We did afternoon tea. We were originally seated (crowded into) in the tearoom. There were 3 other large parties there and the noise was horrible. We finally asked to be moved to a table outside this room. Once that happened, we could enjoy the experience and actually carry on a conversation. There were many choices of delicious tea. I definitely would go back, but not on a crowded Saturday.

Traditional British Pub with cozy atmosphere, darts, trivia (Wednesdays) and all the football (soccer) you can stand. Outside seating as well. Good conversation to be had with new friends at the bar - check it out!

Love this spot. Great breakfast if you order the right thing. The English omelette is my favorite, with English Muffins. Raoul and the staff are lovely. Top top place if you are a Chelsea fan!

Been going to the Kings Head for almost 50 years. Menu has changed a bit but the fish n chips keep me coming back.

Just had the best afternoon tea at the Kings Head!! Great food and proper good clotted cream for the excellent scones. Very reasonable price, ambiance wonderful, and the service was perfect. The Kings head is a great English pub and I’ve had many a great breakfast and dinner. This was the best. My wife and adult kids all agreed; this is a must visit! Thanks Christine for a great experience and we will definitely be back.

Do not Spend American Money at this "establishment ", Bullies and idiots and Constitution haters. This is america, we have the Bill of Rights for a reason. In public, there is No expectation of privacy. If you want privacy, You Must create it yourself.... i.e. a mask and glasses. The server who was "scared" walked up to with in inches/millimeters of touching aka battering a civilian recording from a public area. Learn the law and stop making yourselves and this business look like trash.

This is a nicer place at night and on weekends it is small but it is only a bar, there is a second one, it has a good atmosphere and they respect you. I don't know if it is a restaurant. I also only accompanied some friends and they like to go there every week and I did like it.

Reminds me of an English bar.The fish and chips are just like they make overseas.The atmosphere is so welcoming.Very excellent pub. Went there for St Patrick's Day. The waitress are very nice and fun. I ordered a salad with apples walnuts and champagne dressing. Very excellent Had a great drink there. Highly recommend to go here. They have a shop next to the restaurant. Lots of great food and other items to buy.

Went in, got a drink with friends, we went out to patio and then I went out to smoke and then he refused to let me back in and claimed he never saw me before. Never coming here again. And the bouncer in the photo can get a life, he is very unprofessional.

Everything was amazing but the food was disgusting. Ordered a medium well it was rare ordered it well done instead still rare, my food was cold when I got the stake and cut into it, it was flavorless and just sad. The fish and chips the rest of my family got was also disappointing, the breading was way too oily, thick, and soggy you could also tell that the oil was stale. The service was awesome with the waitress we had but the food was horrible, never going again.

So many fond memories of this place from many years ago. I used to cycle up from Hermosa beach Saturday mornings.

Adorable spot with the best high tea in LA. Excellent deal for the price and very solid gluten free options! Not going to be a very fancy or intricate high tea, but definitely gets the job done, esp if you have a fun group going.

Nice atmosphere in a busy pub, decent selection of beers. Had some chips (fries) which were clearly microwaved from frozen. I would be disappointed if my local English pub did this.

As a Brit I can confirm that this place very much captures the charm and vibe of a traditional pub, without feeling contrived or novelty. Dart boards a nice touch.

I've visited this place numerous times but I usually stick to the patio seating. I found out this place has tea service and nice tea room in the back. I loved it. It was a proper tea and our server was super friendly.

The Sunday Roast and English Breakfast were so good! Not a fan of the veggies, but everything else was delicious. If you end up here on a Sunday, I highly recommend it!

A great place to scratch the itch for UK based dishes. One of the only places I know of where you can get a Full English Breakfast. I usually walk out of their restaurant overfed because there is always something else on the menu I want to have. When there’s not a football match playing in the pub the dartboards get regular use and the atmosphere feels just right for a pint.

The server was terrible! Kept saying she’d be with us but waited for a long time for everything! Will not be back!

Food and environment ok but service ruined it completely. Chaotic, slow, brought in by bits so that the rest got cold while waiting. Will not be back.
