I usually do take out but dining in is great too. Best sesame chicken I've ever had; my husband loves their cashew chicken and Thai fried rice. Always friendly

This place is just beautiful with an amazing ambiance and the food was soo good. The wonton soup was good but overall mediocre. However, everything else I had was top notch. Great egg rolls, and the Mongolian Beef… wow! Some of the best I’ve had! I will definitely be back. In a world where it seems like most Chinese restaurants have gone the way of the buffet, it’s so refreshing to find an amazing sitdown Chinese place like this!

The food needs a little work. Was kind of bland but it was good enough to take home! In my opinion the rice needed to be stir fried longer, and in sesame oil. But all in all it was good. Service was great! Bf had the dumpling soup, says yhe dumplings were good, the broth had no flavor what's so ever. But we both agree we would go back and order different food next time :) Oh and the plum wine was delicious!! Reeeeaallly sweet but has great flavor

General tso chicken is the best I've ever had. I still think about it as I don't live there anymore.

Chinese restaurant in Ozark with dine-in and take out. I have been several times and have always been more than satisfied with the food quality. There are few vegetarian options on the menu, but I was able to order the tofu and vegetables with the sauce of my choosing. The decoration and ambiance of the restaurant is nice, and our waitress was kind and attentive. I definitely recommend it, my go-to for Chinese food and one of my favorite restaurants in the area.

First time. Heard good things about the place. I had high expectations and am used to major market restaurants. I was pleased. We were sat promptly, server was prompt and very nice, and knew what she was doing. Food was a little slow to arrive and I was very surprised there was no tea as a starter. Mine, Happy Family, was good and my wife's, Curry Chicken, was fine though she found it bland. The atmosphere is great but our over all expectation was higher than the experience. They cut some corners with no fortune cookies either. I would return for sure for the food and atmosphere.

The food was really fresh and hot. My husband and I ordered the moo goo chicken, and my son ordered General chicken. The only thing that was just ok was the egg rolls and crab Rangoon. They were both overcooked. Our waitress was wonderful. The interior of the restaurant is nice. The food is a little pricy.

Restaurant is unsafe for vegans, alphagal, or any with dietary restrictions. I ordered the tofu with veggies, and found a piece of meat in my dish after consuming about half of it. I brought it to the attention of the server. She assured me the dish is vegetarian but that the cook probably didn't clean out the wok after the prior dish. She did not offer to make another dish for me. I advised the cashier and was given the same apology without an offer to make it right. Meat makes me sick and causes migraines so this is unfortunate. Otherwise, the server was attentive and the ambience was good.

My husband and I have been looking for good Asian food since we moved to the area a year ago. We've tried several places and while they were OK, this is at the top of the list! The food, as my husband said, just seems fresher than other other places we've tried. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Yen Ching is by FAR my favorite Chinese restaurant in all of SW MO. The food is incredible, the service is fantastic, and the atmosphere is so peaceful. I am so thankful that this place still exists after all these years.

4/5 on atmosphere- it’s mostly pretty cool looking. Went at 1PM, the place wasn’t busy. Other full families that ordered much after us were served before us and we waited 40 minutes for food…. I had to get back to work. Portions are much smaller than other restaurants. The food was good but not the greatest. The egg roll was yummy but it was the size of my thumb, not big at all, especially for the price. I will say I am not a fan of Asian soups, but their soup came included and was full of vegetables and other ingredients. The checkout smelled like cow manure for some reason. Just isolated to the checkout booth.

Came in unknowingly before close. Which I would not like to do. After checking with the kitchen, they were kind enough to take a large order. Boxed it with care and was all very good. Another local business to that I will continue to support.

Egg drop soup didn’t taste very good, large canned mushrooms in the soup, peas in the soup tasted frozen. General chicken sauce was good, chicken tasted similar to chicken nuggets. I wasn’t able to substitute rice for something I enjoy like noddles, lo mein or chow mein. Even if there was an up charge, I would appreciate eating something I would enjoy. Sweet and sour chicken sauce tasted like apple sauce. Spring roll was okay, not much flavor or taste. Friendly staff, random multiple themed decorations, clean restaurant and dimly lit. They also sell some miscellaneous items at the front of the store. Clothes, house decorations, sunglasses are some of the options.

Pre breaded chicken breast chunks with cold sauce ladled over top. It just wasn't good. It's definitely not authentic. The service was fine.

They must have a real chef because the food is amazing! We were greeting as soon as walking in and the service was outstanding. Also I have to say, the atmosphere so so comforting. You can tell that time was out in to make sure everything looks just right. Very affordable as well. This is a must try for sure!!!

We got takeaway tonight and looking forward to it because we used to come here years ago and it was great . We got orange chicken, pad Thai and three orders of egg drop soup. This was $60 not including tip!!! The food was not at all what we remembered.

Best Cashew Chicken and General Chicken I have ever had! Portion sizes are Huge and very generous! Employees here are always sooooo nice and friendly and the quality of the food is unbeatable.

If you haven't been here before, I highly recommend it! It has an amazing atmosphere and great staff. The service was incredible and the food was so flavorful and filling. We only had two people but this was the first time at any dining place where we got our food super quickly! The cashew chicken was super tender but so crispy! I highly recommend the crab ragoon as well. My fiance loved his Szhechuian pork. Great portion sizes as well.

food was absolutely horrible we had 3 different chicken dishes all of the chicken seemed either freezer burnt or old my husband puked all night long afterwards pretty sure from food poisoning we also ordered their homemade cake and it was old and gritty not moist just a huge disappointment all the way around i dont reommend eating here.

Love this restaurant. Everything is always served hot and fresh made. Their crab rangoons are savory and soooo good!! I almost always order their chicken with garlic sauce but branched out and got their house beef today. Both are delicious! They have the restaurant decorated really nice and it gives each table a quiet private feel. Also - not to be missed by my kids - there is a mini store at the front that they always manage to find something in.

When we have that craving: You all know the one. This is by far the best place in the area. Food is always outstanding, it isn't just chicken with some nasty sauce poured over the top. Amount of food is perfect for the price. Teriyaki skewered beef..... This is a major thing where I come from, as is teriyaki skewered chicken. (sadly they don't have). Lo mein that is actually Lo mein and not some salty flavored spaghetti. We have never actually eaten in the restaurant. Always getting to-go. Food is always hot and survives the 20 minute ride home. Regardless, the place is always clean and welcoming. The staff are always awesome. Prices, are fair. Maybe a little on the high side. But in my opinion, you get what you pay for. Worth every penny in my opinion.

Yen Ching is our favorite Springfield-style Chinese restaurant! The portions are enormous and the food is so delicious and fresh. Always great service and a nice cozy, modern atmosphere. The menu has a healthy variety and the food comes out quick and really really fresh. It's a hidden gem in the Ozarks!

Been going to Yen Ching for years. Went there for the Spicy Cashew Chicken and General Chicken as usual. Very disappointed with both. It's changed to rin of the mill fare. Not the depth of flavor it was known for. Was served a small cup of Siracha Sauce on the side, if that tells you anything. It's lost the umomi flavor that it was famous for, the iced tea was weak, as well. The offerings have changed on the menu too. Prices are up of course and that's ok with us, but cost cutting has effected the food. Very disappointing.

Yen Ching about a mile from my home so it is my go to restaurant for lunch. The food is excellent, and service is good also, one of the best Asian restaurants I have ever eaten. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I drove out if my way to try this place based on reviews here and left disappointed. Started off well with egg roll and crab Rangoon. Both were tasty. But my “spicy” cashew chicken had little spice or other interest, just white meat, white nuts, and bland white sauce on white rice. I had to fish out of my mouth quite a few small inedible pieces too, including one nut shell. At the end I asked for a serving of sherbet or ice cream. Not available, the server said. Almond cookie? Nope. Fortune cookie?? Nope. I won’t be back.

It's definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants in Springfield. Very clean and never too busy. Food is good but nothing spectacular, Definitely good for Springfield though.

I tried the General chicken during lunch and very pleased with how well the chicken was cooked. It was juicy and tender. Hot and spicy soup was good along with the fried rice and spring roll. Would have liked more heat in the General Chicken as it seemed as my dish was not spicy.

Loved this place. It's a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. The waiter was extremely attentive. Everyone was super friendly. And the food was outstanding. We had the Mongolian beef, hot and sour soup, crab rgoon, and my kiddo had the pineapple chicken. All left with big smiles. Will definitely be frequentimg this place!

The best Chinese food I've had in years! Great portions, speedy service, attentive staff, flavorful food, fresh tasting vegetables and meats. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the restaurant is very clean. I'd eat here every day if I could. 10/10!

Our "go to" Chinese restaurant in the area. 6/14/2023 Anniversary lunch with my wife. Service was awesome, as was the food. The waitress was so kind and helpful. I failed to get her name, but she was awesome.

Exceptional food and service. Honey chicken and sweet n sour chicken-chicken was moist, veggies are cooked just right still with good crunch. Egg rolls were crispy and not too greasy.

Ordered chow Mein but did not know their chow mein is this crispy noodle. It is very very salty and expensive. Serving is too small for the price. Not worth it

Literally the best chinese food in the Springfield area!

Disappointed is the only thing I can think of to describe our experience. The atmosphere is always fun, that’s why we gave 2 stars. The server was sweet and she did a fine job. The food was very disappointing. Egg rolls were burnt, egg drop soup was definitely not egg drop soup. Tasted like a chicken noodle soup mix that had shrimp added to it. The crab Rangoon was rubbery and the duck sauce was lumpy. The cashew chicken (which was the reason for the visit) was mediocre at best. The food here used to be sooo good. 3 people for $70. We had 3 appetizers and 2 entrees. We all drank water. Just not worth it.

We have been eating at Yen Ching for quite a few years. The food is always authentic and delicious. We highly recommend it if you like Chinese food.

If I could give this place 1 million stars I would, this is the best Chinese food since I visited Little Chinatown halfway across the United States. Best value, best flavor, best services an extremely polite an professional. All the other businesses in the area should take note to what they do here.

You get a ton of food here for the price and I love that about Yen Ching! I always have loved the general or cashew chicken but recently have encountered more gluten issues so I opted for the Szechuan chicken (non-breaded). I will still give this place 5 stars since I’ve come here for SO many years but their non-breaded chicken is stringy and spongy and I would NOT recommend it. Get the breaded chicken or skip getting chicken. The hot & sour soup is always a good choice and this time we tried the steamed potstickers and they were very very tasty!! With the lunch meals you get soup, the main course usually comes with rice, and a spring roll. It’s a great value and the restaurant is always clean and the staff is most excellent. Highly recommend!

Such great food, but their prices have gotten out of hand. Way too expensive! Not worth the money. Go to Thai Palace instead.

Food is amazing but there phone service is garbage I tried calling for 15 min while they're open and it kept saying it's busy. Fine you don't want my business I'll never eat there again. Good luck to all try to order over the phone as it seems impossible now

Crab Rangoon actually sucks. Their spicy Cashew Chicken was ok. Nice facilities and greeter as well as waitress were pleasant.

Came into town for lunch. We had 4 adults and 2 children. Let's say the food was ok nothing great. The food was just warmish. Not alot of chicken on the plate maybe 5 or 6 piecs of chicken. Also one thing that was a bit shocking was the pre added tip on the ticket. 18% tip....I like to be in control of giving my tips. I do a fair job in giving a tip since I have done a waiters job before. Lastly for the food we got I don't feel it was worth the price tag. We had 3 chicken and rice plates with soup. Then one childs meal and a big bowl of soup. One hot tea. Two sodas and two kid drinks and Raghu and wontons. That came to a big 105$ for lunch.....well I would hate to come for dinner.i understand that things r costing more and more but for lunch???? That's just crazy.
