Excellent and huge mussels, shrimp, and scallops in tomato sauce. Others enjoyed their entrees, too. Generous piece of baklava to share! Very tasty!

New ownership took over in July 2024 and the quality is no longer there :(. The lamb was extremely dry and overcooked. Overall very disappointed. Many better places to eat in Haddonfield and Collingswood!

If you’re a foodie then this place probably isn’t for you. I’ve had some great authentic Mediterranean food, and this food is just alright. I ordered the chicken kabob and the whole dish definitely could have used some more salt to really bring out the flavor. The chicken was dry, the rice was bland, and the veggies were pretty good. I won’t be coming back for a second time, but you’ll probably like it if you’re not that into food like I am.

Just had a delicious, impromptu lunch here with my husband, our kids and a close friend. We were starved during the arts festival, so we stopped in. I ordered the Italian salad with chicken and I was really impressed. The salad was so flavorful and it was definitely up there with one of the best salads I’ve ever had. We also ordered the hummus of the month, jalapeño and honey. It came out with warmed pita and was really good. My husband and our friend enjoyed their food as well. The servers were so friendly and were being so sweet to our kids. We will definitely be back!

I stopped by, with a friend, for dinner. We were seated immediately. We chose outside seating, but under the roof of the entrance. It was a mid-week day so there was no weekend Haddonfield crowd, and no wait. Our server was super friendly and knew the menu very well. She did a great job explaining how the food was made and what we were getting. The food took a while to come out. I get it, everything is made fresh, you realize why when your plates arrive. The presentation is perfect. I'm not complaining. To start, we ordered the Zaffron Tasting Plate. Great grouping of different humus, cheese, olives, and Baba ghanoush on the plate..... But there was 1 pita cut into 4 slices. Definitely not enough for two people, and not enough to help with dishing out all of the humus and Baba ghanoush. Shame, because everything on the plate was delicious. I've seen reviews about the lack of pita being served I don't get why this is and why it hasn't been corrected. I kind of expected the pita issue, but thought they would have corrected this by now. I mean the cost of making small batches of pita is probably pennies on the dollar. Our waitress did ask if we would like more pita, of course we said yes. She brought out one more pita, cut into 4 slices. I'm not sure if we were charged because I didn't check the bill for that. Other's have mentioned there is a charge. I ordered the Chicken Kurma... Outstanding. One of the best dishes I've had in a while. I just wish the chicken wasn't so dry and chewy. My friend ordered the chicken kabob. She liked it, but said the chicken was over cooked and chewy. I have to agree, I tried it myself. It was the same as mine. We both agreed if the chicken in going to be overcooked then maybe they should consider using cubed boneless chicken thighs, because it's hard to ruin those. She really liked the tzatziki, Basmati rice and roasted vegetables. The final bill wasn't that expensive. I thought it would have been more. Even though there's a couple issues mentioned, I enjoyed the dinner & the service. I would go back again.

The food quality here is the best in area you can taste it in everything they prepare. You can also tell they care about your experience everybody from server to owner to general manager it just seems like a happy family atmosphere. We will return very soon!

We always have a delicious meal here. Everything is super fresh and very good. It is nice to have a dinner where you are satisfied, yet you feel like you were healthy too. I had seafood my husband had the lamb shank. We never visit without ordering the hummus and salad! Everything was delicious.

Zaffron is our go to when we want a delicious meal that is also health choice. The long hots are amazing, as is the Lamb Shank and Seafood Dish!! So fresh and full of flavor.

Such a great meal. Got the baba ghanoush and hummus combo-hummus special was roasted onion-both were delicious. Had the cream of broccoli soup (soup of the day) probably the best cream of broccoli I've had. Girlfriend got the salmon over orzo-Oh Em Gee fab. I got the lamb shank-flavorful and fell right off the bone-i was in heaven. Owner was a hoot all night-really friendly and actually cared about his guest. We'll be back!

I found this place with my girlies while doing wedding stuff back in 2019 and have been obsessed since then. Now my husband and I love making the trip down from the Trenton area to eat here. Amazing food, great service and a great location to walk after filling our tummies. Totally recommend this to anyone looking for fresh mediterranean dishes.

BYOB Mediterranean restaurant. They have a hummus of the month. My favorite one is ginger carrot curry. Most of their hummus of the months are good. I've had many of their kebabs and they're all yummy. They usually have chocolate creme brulee if you're interested in that. I hate that they make you order everything at once. Sometimes they slam you with the food when you're not ready and once they let our food sit back there for a half an hour and get cold before bringing it out. But I think that waitress was new. The night staff is spot on. I can't come here with everyone I know because some people can't stand ordering all their food at once. They want to just order an appetizer first and then order their dinner when they're ready.

Best place is great. It's a little different because you have to place your entire order at once. My favorites were the chickpea and quinoa soup and the roasted peppers.

Right in the heart of Haddonfield Zaffron Mediterranean Cuisine is as authentic as it gets. Whenever I'm in Haddonfield this is a must have. Healthy diet for anyone looking for a lean delicious meal. Walk the town but do yourself a favor and don't walk past Zaffron, thank me later

The desserts were delicious, but the apaptizers and chicken kabob left much to be desired. I need more flavor than that. It tasted like the tatziki was premade as it was bland, there was no seasoning on the chicken or veggies and it barely had that lovely grilled flavor that I look for in a kabob. The owner was so cute and sweet.

We enjoyed our visit here very much. The food was fresh and delicious, the staff and owner were super friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was cozy and warm. I do recommend making a reservation though especially on weekends they get very busy.

This was my second time at Zaffron and while it was a good experience, the cost is not justified. I’m not sure if prices went up since I last came, but $40 for 3 shrimp, 2 scallops, and some veggies with rice is unacceptable. I ordered the shrimp and scallop kebab expecting to get 2 filled skewers only to be yearning for more. My wife got the veggie kebab which also felt overpriced at over $20. I guess it makes sense the online menus don’t have prices. And to boot, the hummus appetizer is clearly served with too little pita, for which they’ll charge extra for each pita serving. While the food is decent, I can’t say I’ll be returning anytime soon based on all of this.

This is a really nice place in Haddonfield. Their sharing hummus tray was delicious. Loved their pumpkins curry hummus. It was a surprise hit. The curry flavor popped. 100% recommend.

Absolutely PHENOMENAL service, food, and atmosphere. I went to dinner solo tonight, and was treated with such care and hospitality. The owner greeted me multiple times, and the staff were all so friendly. It’s all farm to table, expect to wait a little longer for the food, well well worth it for the freshness and quality. You HAVE to check this place out. You will not be disappointed.

Food is very good. Didn't like that asking for more bread (for a table of 2) would result in an upcharge since there wasn't a lot provided either time and it was never mentioned. Never had any upcharges before in any upscale restaurant and Ive been to this one a few times before. Waitress this time around was so-so, and definitely not like my other visits there. Love the owner and other staff though. Also, outside seating needs a bug deterrent (candle, fan, something) to avoid constant swatting.

My friends and I work nearby and 1-2x a month go to dinner in Haddonfield. We usually try a new place each time and we've been wanting to try this place. We sat out front under the covered porch area which is really cute. We ordered the hummus/baba ghanoush combo to share and while the two dips were amazing...it came with 4 tiny pita triangles for that $15 dish with two dips. Basically one triangle per person and even if one person was eating it still not enough. We asked for more and she brought another 4 little triangles. It was absurd at how stingy they were with bread...it's not like we asked for more dip. At no time did the server tell us we would be charged for these extra tiny pieces of pita but at the end they charged us for every few pieces they brought us. You want to charge for extra pita then no problem but bring a good amount not 4 tiny triangles. I'd rather you charge $20 and give a nice size bowl of pita than giving such a skimpy amount and making people beg. The dishes we got were all great...I had the steak kabobs which were tender and flavorful. Other dishes at the table were salmon over orzo, chicken kurma, and lula kabobs. They were all delicious. All in all a cute restaurant with flavorful dishes but they were very expensive compared to other restaurants in Haddonfield for what they give you. The service was good but when an item is extra you should be told up front and not surprised when the bill comes...doesn't make a restaurant look good when they nickel and dime you over the tiniest things.

We should have known better when the other eateries in the area were packed and this place was (literally) completely empty. But I LOVE good Mediterranean food. Unfortunately, that’s not what we received. The platter my fiancé ordered had two types of humus, both being utterly devoid of flavor or any redeeming characteristics of any kind. My kabob was fine but the presentation was lazy and quite unappealing. (At least the meatballs were solid). But for these prices - especially in a recession where people value their meals out and disposable income more than ever - the food simply can’t be this bad on top of laughable portion sizes. Then they passed on the 3% cc fee w/o a mention and charged us for extra pita when they gave only two microscopic triangles with a mound of hummus, all told costing us $60 for abysmal food. Half the price would have been disappointing but I just would have just not gone back assuming their chef was new or just had the worst day of his career. Poor food, poor planning, poor execution, insultingly laughable prices. This place was from start to finish among the worst dining experience of my - as of tomorrow - 40 years on this rock. The fact we were the only two patrons at 1pm on a Saturday and they still couldn’t present remotely competent food evidences that this place’s kitchen is irredeemably bad. Let me start by saying I have been coming to Zaffrons for 5 years over 20 times. I love this little spot and I really do think that this was just a bad day but the last two experiences were not great and today sealed it. I dined at Zaffron at 4:00 pm there were two waitress very kind and nice. The tables count was about 4- 4 tops and maybe a 2 top. Not crazy busy but understood that it could be a wait. My wife and I have been hyping this place up to her aunts and the experience was not great. Start with the bread and oil for the table. The bread and oil was more for a single person than for a 4 party group. Understandable it’s complementary so it’s a nice gesture. But we got the hummus of the month which is the best thing from this place is their delicious hummus. BUT again the bread was enough for one person let alone four of us. We ask for more bread and around 10 mins or less later get it. The entrees were as followed a pasta ragu with lamb , chicken over rice with vegetables and two of the same seafood dishes which I don’t know exactly what they were. It took about a hour Lisa and some change after our apps for our food to come out. Our waitress was nice and did tell us our food should be coming out soon but was much later then soon. When the food arrived my lamb pasta was just not good at all I could only eat less then half. The sauce was very watery and the mushroom were huge the lamb was not seasoned good and tasted odd. My wife’s dish was not great either with her chicken tasting strong of just one seasoning and her vegetables tasting like the grills built up oils. My aunts dishes were ok but you can see they were disappointed and the last thing I was Ted to do was tell the waitress our food was bad and have a whole scene. She was lovely and the place I’m sure might still sever good food but for having to back to back bad experience I just think I’ll have to end my five year relationship with Zaffrons. My wife and I ate at Zaffron last night. She had the lamb shank and I had the salmon. I have to say the food was delicious. The lamb was not overly seasoned, was very meaty (not "gamey") and fell off the bone. We met friends for dinner and sat on the patio which although heated was a bit too breezy for me in January. It's also a byob. The tasting plate was delicious. Great hummus flavors. The long hots appetizer was also a 10. Great complimentary flavors and hot.
