Great experience for us to try these Lebanese food in a friendly cafe. Batinjan Bi Banadoura is more like soup for me, but I think they grilled the veggies and it gives a nice taste and a certain smell. I love the texture of the grilled cauliflower!!!! I'm a Big fans of it. I can't finish the veggies so I took it home and ate it later. And guess what..... It taste more delicious! Shish kebab is a highly recommended food here. The beef is tender, and comes perfectly with the onions and pickled cucumbers. For the specialty foods, we can choose the side dish: soup or salad. We tried both of them and we like the refreshing salad and delicious lentil soup! We ordered Tabbuleh as well, but we don't think it is suitable with other foods we got. So I think it's better to ask them some suggestions. And for our bonus today is the chili sauce. I am a fan of spicy food. Suddenly I thought about chili sauce, and ask them. And I got it!!! I am so happy to try it. Try also their Baklava! Tasted fresh. You can feel the crunchiness. The sweetness is just right. You need a warm drink? Hot cinnamon tea will be a good choice.

Terrific Mediterranean fare. My schwarma was perfect and affordable. Also enjoyed hummus, baba ghanoush, and the sweets platter. Not fancy but well worth a visit.

They were so nice and the food was amazing!

I’d say to get takeout from here, since the dine in experience is a bit lacking but its fine. The fattoush salad is realllly good. I got the kafta too, was alright. I would say its a little dry but I did not eat it immediately. I honestly do not judge for not having stellar lamb, its hard to find. The service was quick and friendly. I’d definitely come back and their prices are extremely fair.

Zaaman Cafe was an impromptu stop after a doctor appointment. Mom and I shared some hummus and some falafel and a small order of tabbouleh. We thought the flavors were good and I liked the texture and robust flavor of the hummus. We got the platter of 8 falafel and it was plenty. The tabbouleh was full of cucumber and tomato and the flavor was very bright.

Delicious Middle Eastern food! The baba ganoush, hummus, lentil soup, falafel were outstanding. My friend loved the chicken shawarma. The service was a bit slow but worth the wait. Very fresh.

Delicious Mujadara lentils and rice. Very generous portions. Clean restaurant with music and friendly people. Highly recommended

Absolutely delicious food! The salads flavoring was delicious, the shish combos lamb was so filling and good, it was the best meat I’ve ever had! The service was amazing. The employee there was so friendly, and so fast with the food! The atmosphere was also very good. They had very good Lebanese music, and decorations. Overall, this restaurant was one of the best!

Wonderful place, just a little place but full of atmosphere and friendly staff. Food is great and very reasonably priced, service is fast, can’t ask for anything more. Personal attention assures satisfaction and portions are large.

Ordered delivery and everything was superb! I was especially impressed with how tasty their hummus was. I got the Ginger hummus and Fulful hummus (spicy) and both were outstanding. I enjoyed the falafel wrap and stuffed grape leaves as well. Will definitely have again!

What a pleasure to have had Zamaan cafe when they first started in Ann Arbor’s east side, and now again rediscover Zamaan after quite some time (on the North side)- they are even better than I remember! The Karnabeet is delicious, as is the rice eggplant wrap, chicken shawarma, fattoush absolutely delicious. My very particular (as in picky 😄) bf loved the fattoush salad’s homemade dressing. We cannot wait to be back and take our parents. A note on the dining room- it is not upscale, very “mom and pop” family business. It is clean and not pretentious.

The food was very fresh and delicious. This was very near to double tree where we were staying. We skipped it first night, assuming that food would not be good, and drove five miles for another one (will not mention name), but their food quality was worse. Tried Zamaan next night and were amazed. Highly recommended.

Outstanding, authentic Lebanese food!

Super friendly guy working the front. Food looks beautiful. Good prices. Also the shawarma is HUGE (look at my hand). 10/10. They give you a cup of water cause I dine in.

We are from Indiana. Made a second trip out here and specifically booked the same hotel so we could eat here again. This is one of our all time favorite restaurants. Wish we could eat here more often !!

Amazing meat shawarma pita wrap, I get it AT LEAST once a week. My partner also loves the chicken fattoush salad, she gets it every time we go here. Great staff, they're all super nice. I always recommend this place.

Great Palestinian food: fresh and served piping hot. Their take away dinner is great although I would recommend the soup rather than the salad which was pretty ordinary. I have had several of their soups of the day and they were each excellent. The dinner portions were more than we could eat so the soups we had re-heated the next day and they were still outstanding after re-heating. The chicken tawook and biryani are excellent. The rice pudding is not to be missed although it is not always availble.

Great restaurant with delicious dishes!

There’s nothing seriously wrong with this restaurant—the staff are normal and it’s clean and all—but the food just isn’t all that good. The falafel was a little soggy and slightly grey. The hummus and tabbouli didn’t taste like much. The rice was oily and artificially yellow. I have to wonder whether the people posting reviews have ever eaten Mediterranean food before. Or maybe I just went on a really, really off day…? I don’t like writing negative reviews, but I simply can’t recommend it. It’s mediocre. I wouldn’t go out of your way, and recommend Palm Palace, Casablanca, or even Jerusalem Garden instead. Or if you’re up for a drive, go to La Fresh in Plymouth (superb) or all the way to Dearborn (biggest Middle Eastern community in the US).

We got the meal for two (2 fattoush salads, 4 falafel, hummus, bread, shish tawook, 2 large kafta, rice, grilled onion & peppers, garlic dip) and we got an order of baba ghanouj. The flavors of the foods was perfect and the meal was delicious! This was our first visit & we’ll be back.

The food was amazing and the staff were so kind, this deserves to be a pit stop to in town visitors.

Recommend: Kufta Harra Mix of beef and lamb meat with a rich and fun blend of tomato-based sauce.

The food was great. We got Combo for 2 (Tawook, kafta, falafel, hummus, rice, pita bread, salad). The meat was fresh, full of flavor and grilled into perfection. Hummus and garlic sauce were really good too.

Very good Mediterranean food in Northside Ann Arbor

We love Mediterranean food and have tried many of the restaurants in Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Livonia. Zamaan is our favorite. The lentil soup is amazing and the rice and salads are also so delicious. Employees are always so nice too. Highly recommend.

Zamaan is a nice little cafe with good food and a friendly staff. I have stopped in a few times and each time the food was fast, hot and fresh. It looks like they took over another food location and have expanded. This section of the restaurant definitely needs improvement but the dining experience is nice.

This is primarily a take out place but they also have a few tables inside and outside. It's located in a strip mall but the food makes up for it. It was simply delicious and the owners were friendly and efficient. Great experience.

Excellent Halal Dining option. Good food, good prices, friendly staff. Best fries I've had in the area for half the price of the second best fries I've had in the area. Unbelievable

I visited this Lebanese restaurant the past two days and tried several of their dishes. I've had very little opportunity to eat Middle Eastern food, but my son and I enjoyed almost everything. The cashier was friendly and patient - good service! There are several items on the menu that are vegan, so it worked out perfectly for us! Makale: really enjoyable and I recommend it. Batinjan Bi Banadoura: Good eggplant meal but not my favorite. Veg. grape leaves: similar to the Greek ones but not as sour (yay!). Although it was good, I like Jerusalem Garden's better. Tabbouleh (tabbouli): really enjoyable if you like parsley - recommended. Fattoush salad: I found it to be just like a basic salad with vinaigrette. Jerusalem Garden's was much better. Falafel: pretty tasty and much better than JG's. Recommended! Falafel pita: very nice, complete with iceberg lettuce, pickles, tomatoes and a couple other things. Karnabeet: it was ok but I found the flavor to be a bit heavy for me. House rice: mildly spiced yellow rice. Fulful: hummus with hot sauce in the middle - I mixed them together and found it not very spicy and I didn't care for the resulting taste. Their basic hummus is good, though (much better than JG's)! Mujaddara in a pita: nice, complete with iceberg lettuce, pickles, tomatoes and a couple other things. The mujaddara was about the same as JG's mjaddara, although I don't know if it had a lot of fried onions. French fries: very large but too salty - ask for less salt! Pitas: these are different from Greek pitas, much flatter and not as soft, and the ones they gave us were not fresh. They do not make them and were waiting for the order to come in. Between Zamaan and JG, I prefer Zamaan. My only real criticism of this well-decorated restaurant was the cleanliness. When we went the first time, the floor under our table hadn't been cleaned (dirty napkins, etc.) even though we arrived when there were only a couple of customers (one of whom walked in with us). When we returned, the same table's top was sticky. Yuck!

Stuff is expensive but food is good

Lentil soup was, hot, delicate and delicious. Chicken shawarma was fresh and tasty. It's always a pleasure the frequent Zamaan Cafe, an exceptionally clean and welcoming venue.

Best falafel wrap + hummus i've ever had in my life!! Their falafel is not dry at all, absolutely to die for.

So glad I dropped through while traveling. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the chicken with salad and my husband had the chicken wrap. The chicken was very juicy and tender. All the flavors were on point. The workers are very nice too.

We love Cafe Zamaan! We know the family who owns and operates it! They are such kind and generous people who are always warm and welcoming! One of our favorites is the combo for 2! It has everything and we always have leftovers! I highly recommend it!

This was delicious! Hot fresh, excellent service, we had fallafal, chicken shwarma, hummus and the eggplant dish I can't pronounce! 3 of us split everything and we were stuffed and took a meal home. Highly recommend

Great middle eastern food, wonderful humus!

Try the eggplant and rice pita wrap. I am not a vegan and love eating meat, but this vegan wrap blows my mind.

It's the best hummus in Ann Arbor, and probably the best middle eastern food overall. Really, just an incredible place all around that we go out of our way to eat at when we're in town.

The staff are incredibly friendly. Food taste amazing. I highly recommend their Chicken shawarma wraps and french fries (they're crispy). A side of garlic sauce to complete the meal.

I got the meat shawarma wrap and my hubs got the riz bi dajaj wrap combo style with rice. Oh ma gash! It was absolutely delicious! We both agreed the meat shawarma was good -but the riz di dajaj was HEAVEN! Think chicken shawarma plus garlic sauce plus rice plus a few pickles to cut the fat. I wish we lived closer! Staff was friendly and we’ll definitely return when we’re in the area again!

The food was okay nothing memorable. We had to wait a long time (45-50 minutes) for food. It was surprising to wait that long since there were a few customers and only one pickup order. But the server was polite. It is near the hotel where we were staying. Will go back when we are too tired to drive to downtown for meals.

I go here often because it is so close. I can think of better middle eastern restaurants though. The food is good, the service is okay. Nothing really special though

Not bad. Had a shish combo, the kafta and kabob were delicious, as was the rice and veggies. The chicken tawook though is where it went downhill. It was either frozen or just thawed. It tasted like rubber, every single piece of tawook. Also, take your food to go. Dining experience is so so.

What a Gem! I had the chicken zamaan a few days ago ,and it did not disappoint. My wife is actually on her way there to get me another one. We are at the Mott children hospital and it is such a great comfort food as we are waiting for our daughter to recover. I highly recommend Zamaan Cafe!
