Best Italian food I've ever had!! Hands Down!

This place is no longer open during the week at all. Had a large group of coworkers with me, and we came here for lunch and found out that the establishment no longer is open except for Sunday. They should update their Google maps account to reflect their current schedule so it doesn't inconvenience patrons. ***Edited*** The hours have been properly updated to reflect the current hours. The rating has been changed.

First time and already can't wait to try out more.

Amazing food and amazing service!

Best Italian food, ever! Jackie, is the real deal! If you want authentic Italian it's Zanini's! If there were ten stars here, I would give her that! Jackie, is a kind, sweetheart, of a person, she really does make her food with love! Her spaghetti with meat sauce is my absolute favorite! I just keep ordering that one! She has a lot of awesome, dishes! I've had the 🍖 meat ball sandwich too,. It's delicious! My husband and I split that one, with some left over. It will satisfy the hearty, appetite, for sure!

I went in for the first time this week and immediately felt so welcome. The staff all seem happy and friendly. We were warned the portions were big, but we had no idea they would be soooo big. We ended up splitting a sub and still had to get a to-go box. Im not complaining though! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was positively charming, and the people were so sweet. Will definitely be going back!

Delicious lunch at Zanini's. We had sandwiches and salads and they were amazing...but just as good was the stellar service! The focaccia is to die for!!! We'll definitely be back!

My co worker and I stopped in to get lunch to go. I travel all over Washington and part of Oregon for work. Ive had Italian sandwiches from all over. The Italian sub I got here was by far the best one I've ever had.The meat tasted fresh, the bread was perfectly toasted with zero hard pieces and very fresh tasting. The tomatoes tasted like they were freshly cut, not like pre sliced ones. Absolutely perfect. My coworker loved his meatball sub and the marinara. We both liked the pasta salad. The canolis were the best I've had in decades. My co worker had never had one before. He says he'll definitely buy them again. The owner was very passionate and inviting. I will definitely stop in here again next time I pass through. Highly recommend you try this place out!

We stopped here for lunch based on the reviews and are absolutely in agreement. Believe the reviews! Excellent Italian deli options and done right. I’m convinced my Italian grandmother would be impressed, as well (God rest her soul). Only caution would be to bring a friend if you plan on tackling the meatball sandwich. ;) On top of the great food you’ll find kind and attentive service. If you’re in the mood for Italian, just go!

It's always a joy to go to Zanini's. Excellent food, decent price, service with a smile and the people there are a joy to be around. If you're in Oak Harbor I definitely, highly recommend enjoying their Fare.

Where to start!! Their meatballs and spaghetti are to die for as is their Italian cookies cannolis and garlic knots. They catered our small wedding and people are still talking about the food!!

This place has 5 stars and from my experience today it is absolutely well deserved. Not only was the food amazing looking and exceptionally tasty, but the young ladies who worked there were the most accommodating people I have ever met. So warm and kind. And even though they didn’t have A/C or a fan in there they all had smiles on their faces and made sure we had enough food! By far the best food and experience we’ve had in the 5 days we’ve stayed here. No food can compare around these parts. Stephanya, Mini, Holly, and Naomi…. If you’re reading this, thank you all for everything. The cannolis are 10 stars out of 5. I won’t take photos of anything because you should go see for yourself and be pleasantly not surprised that everything is awesome. Not sure when I’ll be back around Oak Harbor, but if I do come back I hope this place thrives and it’s a first stop for everyone.

First time here and will definitely be back again. Owner and all the workers were so fun and friendly. It was a great lunch. They even treated my 3 boys to cookies, which they said were the best cookies they ever had. They had some left overs and one just slurped up the last of their noodles and said “sooo good.” The food was phenomenal. We got an Italian sub sandwich and meatball spaghetti jr. Included with the sandwich you got a side salad. Huge portions that you can definitely share. Italian sub was so good. Fresh tomatoes, bread was soft on the inside with just the right amount of crisp on the outside. We also got lemon cake and cannolis. Everything was great. We will most definitely be back again. So glad to have this new addition in oak harbor.

Tried it for the first time today. Brought home a lasagna. It was soooo good!! Everyone had a clean plate and wanted more. We’ll be back for sure!!

We were very happy with our focaccia, canoli, spaghetti with meat sauce, loaded baked potato soup, pasta salad, mozzerella balls, and cucumber salad. Kids liked all of it too which was a feat in and of itself. Pros: Food was top notch and scrumptious The restaurant itself was inviting and warm Wide variety of italian food (made in house) and drink available Gluten free options are available if you call ahead. Staff is sweet, helpful, knowledgable and accomodating. Take out is welcomed Cons: Really, super expensive for a family of six. Small dine in area Small ordering area Not immediately apparent how the procurement of food is handled.

Stopped in for lunch on an island excursion and it was amazing. The turkey sandwich was so delicious (great bread!), and the pasta salad was pretty good too. Everybody was so friendly, and someone with a great voice was singing some Sinatra. For dessert I had an Italian soda, which was also very good!

I’d never been to Zanini’s before. After going into a nearby business I thought I’d just pick up something for dinner so I popped inside. After a couple of moments an employee greeted me and asked if she could help me. I explained that I’d like to get one of the spaghetti dinners I saw in the case. She said she was sorry but they weren’t open. She said she’d ask Jackie. Another person came out of the kitchen and again asked if she could help me. I apologized as I didn’t realize they were closed. Again I said I was hoping to pick up some spaghetti and bread. She handed me both and when I asked how much, she said the cash register wasn’t open and I could pay next time I’m in. As she walked me to the door, she asked how many were eating, and I told her three. She went back inside and brought a second bread saying “you don’t want to run out of bread!” I couldn’t believe my ears! Who does this? I left, and sat in my car feeling just so grateful for the kindness, trust, and amazing customer service I had received. The meal was outstanding. Miss Jackie just gained a loyal customer who plans to share this story at every opportunity.

Just wanted to give a quick shout out to Auntie Jackie! I've been looking for a real authentic Italian Meatball sandwich that reminded me of my hometown of Brooklyn, NY. I was born and raised in Little Italy and the food was always a family affair. This food will bring your family together and more importantly the food is delicious! Strongly recommend stopping by and enjoying eating real Italian food. The best of Italy west of the the mighty Mississippi. Thank you Auntie Jackie for the conversation and walk down memory lane. Awesome Italian dishes! Be sure to order earlier in the day, as I showed up a bit after 5pm, and their special was sold old. Settled for some veg lasagna that was still AMAZING! Will be back soon!

Went to lunch this afternoon, I was amazed. Best meatball sandwich I’ve had, outside of Chicago. Big portions, reasonably priced, friendly staff. I will be back.

Not much to add that others have not, except that: 1) they accommodated our desire for no plastic utensils or boxes; 2) it's the best focaccia and pasta salad we've ever eaten: 3) they have a pleasant place to sit outside (covered); and 4) they are officially the nicest people on the planet.

Amazing experience. Lovely staff, they were so excited it was my first time in the deli. Great meatball grinder, one of the best cannollis in WW. Great cookies too, and a nice soda selection. A real, family-run Italian deli is a rare thing in this area.

OMG, the food is perfect!! Best cannoli on the coast, all you can expect cannoli to be and even more. Perfect, fresh, balanced, worth driving from Seattle!!! Place is full of love and warmth❤️ definitely will be back ❤️

What an incredible experience. The people were fun, Auntie Jackie was amazingly thoughtful and kind. The people who work here make this a 5 star place on its own to say nothing of the food. The food of course earns itself 5 stars as well. The food was fresh, the portions were huge and the quality was impeccable. It is so rare that you have TRULY exceptional food or Service but this little mom and pop shop has it all. My wife and I were treated like family from the moment we entered the establishment! I never write reviews but I so badly want this place to stay around that I could not help but want to do some small part to help. Thank you again Aunt Jackie, we will definitely be back!

Wonderful atmosphere, great food, great Italian soda. A lot of personality in the best way possible. Great place to sit down enjoy some delicious food and to feel like family. The food tastes like home. It feeds the soul.
