Owner was rude and threatened to cancel my order just because I wanted to let other people in front of me. Trust me will not be going to this place again . I still got the food and it was all cold and not fresh. Horrible food and very unprofessional staff.

Friendly staff. Excellent food. Always enjoy Greek food but this is honestly one of the best Greek restaurants in the Phoenix metro area. First time here and the kabob with rice and salad...ooompah! Quick service from time of order. Generous portions be hungry. I would definitely return. All tables inside and on the patio no booths. Almost has the feel of a Greek beach house because the design and decor makes you feel like you're on an island.

I’ve lived in Arcadia for ever. tried many places, and consulted many restaurants/hotels, and never once tried this place. I finally gave it a shot and it was great with great food. Will be back for sure. The lady taking orders is a little bit not so good with communication and talking with guests, especially when it’s their first time trying the place, but that’s a training issue. Overall really good place and decent prices with the portion you get.

OMG the Best Darn Gyro in AZ!!! I went here today for the first time. Customer service was excellent as soon as you walked in the door!! The staff was friendly and helpful with explaining the different menu options. The place was clean and friendly. I made a mistake and knocked over the plant on the table, I was trying to clean up the dirt and the nice young lady seen me, came from behind the counter, told me to take a seat and she would handle my mess and even told me to dump the dirt in her hand!! Wow I was impressed with the level of service here, 10’s across the board. This was the best gyro I have ever eaten and I’m originally from the Midwest so we are big on Gyros. The meat to veggie ratio was unmatched and I don’t know how to explain how they put my pita together but it was unlike any other one that I had!!! Everything was super fresh, it was delicious!!! Give them a try, you are guaranteed to go back, I know I will!!! To the staff, thank you, your service was impeccable!!!

Reviews don’t lie. One of the few restaurants around that hasn’t opted for the “shrink the portions raise the prices” route. Gyro is top tier.

The place we decided on was a little last minute but a good choice overall. It is a fast food type restaurant. However, this place beats the fast food chains. I'll have to try the Souvlaki plate next time we're in town.

After reading all the great reviews, I was excited to try this place. I ordered Moussaka, the falafel appetizer, and lentil soup. The Moussaka came with potatoes and rice and a greek salad. The greek salad consisted of lettuce, a few cucumbers, and one singular kalamata olive. The Moussaka was dry and lacking flavor. The falafel wasn't that great either. I could tell they were not house made. I would give this spot another chance, but it was not what I was expecting.

We drive 30mins out of our way just for this amazing salad. The girls that assistant you are very friendly and generous. I know a tip is not necessary but they do deserve it.

I eat lots of gyro. This place is top 2 in Phx so far. Everything was good. From the brewed tea to the salad to the rice. The Gryo was over the top. Staff were friendly and on top of it. A little pricey but avg price for Phx. I will be back.

The meat tasted bitter not sure if it was overcooked? And way too big to get my mouth around yikes what a mess great hummus and portions yummy ty!

They tried to steal a tip. Then claimed I must have pressed it by mistake. The amount was almost $8. I never received the refund. So I'm in the process of disputing with my bank. I used to love coming here.

The Gyros here are so good! The meat is packed with flavor and the Tzatziki sauce is really fresh & delicious!! The French fries are also awesome and crispy. Totally worth every penny. Wish they had more locations!

Z's is amazing. They have the best falafel I've ever had. We've had several things from the menu and never regretted a single item. I'm a fan of the Greek salad with gyro. The staff is always friendly. The place is comfy and clean. And, the patio is a great way to enjoy your meal.

When I asked for pork souvlaki, I was looked at like I was green. I don't know if I know any Greeks that don't eat pork. Amyway, I ordered the lamb souvlaki and it was awesome. The Greek salad was pretty decent as well.

Best gyro in Phoenix Ask for no lettuce and extra meat

No longer a fan of Z's Greek on Indian School. Used to love their chicken platter or marinated chicken platter. The chicken was good but what was best was their yellow rice which was light and fluffy. They have now changed their rice to be very sticky and clumpy. BAD MOVE Ruined the dishes that came with rice.

Grabbed a chicken pita on my way to my son's lacrosse game. Delicious!! Great food. I think I was served by the owner, or manager (very nice guy). I highly recommend. Wish it was closer to home.

This place did not disappoint! Was craving some Greek food and this place is legit and authentic. I ordered the Gyro Pita Combo which came with a choice of fries or a Greek Salad(I chose the salad), and a drink. Price was reasonable and the service was extremely fast! They seem well staffed and the quality of food was delicious. My friend ordered the Philly cheesesteak with fries and he was pretty impressed. I tried some of his fries and I was surprised how good they were. I usually don’t rave about fries but these were noticeably good. It’s a casual atmosphere. Only drawback was the loud techno music. It didn’t seem to fit the environment and was a bit too loud for a restaurant in my opinion. However, the food and service was great, and for that reason I’d come back and do recommend this place. Bonus is they also have drive thru as well and outdoor seating (it was rainy when we went so couldn’t sit outside).

This was my first visit here, and I will definitely come back. Their food is great and served with man sized portions. You definitely get your money's worth here. I had the Gyro platter, which I will order again. Their food is delicious!!!

I got a chicken pita through drive-through, and it is absolutely outstanding! And I barely had to wait yet it is fresh and delicious. I did not go inside, so I don’t know the atmosphere. The pita is huge. In fact, so huge, I wish I would’ve not gotten another tzatziki sauce. Well, definitely be back. It’s the healthiest food fast I’ve ever had and so delicious

This use to be a place to get a delicious Gyro that didn't break the bank. Now it is the place to get an overpriced mediocre Gyro that has pieces of plastic in it and the lamb has grisle/bone. The service was meh, I am disappointed because this place used to put out some really good food & the cost was half the price. Maybe they will read this review and want to make it better, I would rather give a good review 😕

I will be coming back to this place. It’s hard to find a really good Greek place, but this is it. The food was fresh, sauce was amazing, and service was quick. Only downside is the parking.

Z’s Greek is easily the best Mediterranean food restaurant in the valley. A close second is the proprietor, Z’s brothers’ restaurant, Ninos on E. Thomas. Z’s staff is always pleasant and accommodating, the food is so fresh and absolutely delicious! I eat here on average 3 to 4 times per week. Yes, perhaps an addiction, but a healthy one! 😊 The marinated chicken platter is my favorite…and every once in a while I’ll mix it up and order a Philly cheesesteak with french fries, which are truly the best french fries you will find anywhere! I can’t say enough about this place… Try it for yourself… I guarantee you’ll be back repeatedly!

Came for dinner with my family after not being here for about a year. I’ve been eating here since 2014. Was so shock with the prices. They have increased significantly and they made the servings smaller. This place was my favorite place to eat at but don’t think I’ll be back after seeing the price increase and serving sizes being smaller.

I've never had anything here I haven't loved. Phenomenal food! They have a drive-thru, too, so I can get my hummus fix quickly!

I have been here countless times and the food is usually good. First off, the cashier is always rude and unwelcoming. I got a marinated chicken plate and my girlfriend got a cheesesteak and cheese fries. The chicken, potatoes and pita had oil dripping off of it. For a clean and healthy alternative of a meal it was very unsettling. The cheesesteak has no meat and the “cheese fries” had cheese that wasn’t melted and a hair in it. For a $40 meal the value, quality and atmosphere is not there. I will not be returning and I advise everyone to be cautious of going here. There are far better options in the area.

Let me start off by saying, the service here is better than you get at most upscale restaurants! Every single person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting at Zs has been friendly, fast, knowledgeable and so helpful it is unbelievable! What's incredible is that the food might be even better! Everything I have tried here has been absolutely delicious! Everybody I have come here with has echoed that! 100/10 would recommend!

Ive been driving past this place for 17 years thinking "some day i should try this place" 17 years ive been missing out on the Best gyro I've ever had. Service was spot on, price was fantastic and the food will bring me back again and again.

I literally eat most every lunch Mon - Friday at Zs. Z , Stepanie and the entire staff are super friendly. They make you feel important and always check to make sure your food was to your satisfaction. Quality of food is exellent. Run don't walk to have the best Greek food in Phoenix

Fantastic experience, exceptional Greek food with fantastic service. I loved the culinary experience and ate until unable to continue. I will return soon to continue my travel throughout the menu to assure I have tried everything at least once, then return for the highlights, Moussaka being my favorite this trip.

Every single time I get take-out here, it’s amazingly consistent. Delicious gyro platter, very generous portions, the best rice and a great salad that actually tastes fresh. I love this place! Also the lemon chicken soup is fantastic in the colder months. Highly recommend as your go-to take-out dinner spot.

Absolutely delicious food and clean environment. Very simple restaurant with Chicago style American food as well such as burgers & Philly Cheese Steak. I got the Gyro Pita and the portion size was more than enough + it came w/ a side salad, yellow rice, pita bread and lemon roasted red potatoes. Would definitely come back! So flavorful! 5/5

First time here was trying out with wife and very good service and clean establishment. We had both Gyron plates with extra pita bread and crazy fries . Portions are large and gyro meat was good. if in town would recommend it for quick bite.

A great place to get great food for a good price.

Have been eating at his place since it opened, the best food and atmosphere. Unfortunately their prices have absolutely gone through the roof!!! Such a shame. I am not the only one that feels that way, many of my friends, neighbors who used to frequent the restaurant at least weekly cannot afford to anymore. Such a shame it used to be our favorite neighborhood restaurant, often riding our bikes there on the weekends.

The people here are lovely! They always greet you with positive energy and make it a comfortable and clean experience. The food is big portioned size and tastes great. The Bonus is the drive-through.

Never been here before. I didn’t eat anything all day and was driving down Indian School and decided to enter Z’s to get a quick bite to eat for dinner. The staff member taking my order was extremely helpful and professional. I ordered a gyro pita with no tomatoes. Once I got my gyro pita, there were tomatoes but I didn’t complain just started picking them off. The gentleman working the front saw me do this and said he was sorry for messing up my order and gave me free fries! Excellent customer service and good food!

Great little neighborhood joint. Very friendly staff and comfy inside & patio despite being a bit dated / small. Food is absolutely delicious, I get a side of their lemon potatoes whenever I want a small snack that won’t make me feel gross. Good size portions for the price!

My wife and I used to live in the heart of Phoenix on Indian School Rd, and we would frequently come here for a quiet sit-down meal. We moved about six years ago to a place outside of the city, and I really miss this place. I had an occasion to actually drive into the city earlier today (Wed. 23rd) to take care of some car-related business, and then it hit me - hey, we are at about 16th St and Indian School, why not order something from Z's Greek? So I called them, ordered two lamb souvlaki platters (our favorite) to go, and we just picked them up at the drive-thru, easy peazy, then took them home. Tasted just the same as always. Please don't change your menu - ever. We love you, Z's Greek. PS: You actually get TWO skewers of lamb and peppers. I had already eaten one before it occurred to me to take a pic LOL Same with the pita bread - I'd already eaten that!

Great food, huge portions, very good service.....looks like a greasy spoon. Is not. Reminds me of the My Big Fat Greek Restaurant we used to have in Phoenix, those lemon potatoes! But so much less expensive. One platter feeds two..and everything is so fresh and the tatziki is delicious.....what a great place. So many restaurants with this type of menu fall short. Not here. Delicious. And the staff are great as well. Can not sing enough praises.

Hey! You! Yeah you. Reading reviews, looking for a spot... want a frickin gyro? Go to Z's. Clean spot, good food, generous portions, fair price, nice people workin in there. Everything's above the board. I didn't order coffee or nothin, but they had some cake that looked real good in there too. When I go back I'll update the coffee and dessert situation.

Update 4/8/2023: this place has gone downhill unfortunately. Prices have gone up, quality and quantity have gone down. Just average now at best. Original review: This place is great, been here 1000 times and never ever had a complaint. The chicken is the best in town, in my opinion and the gyro is good as well. Salads are just amazing, but everything on the menu is worth trying!
