My boyfriend and I found Zushi Dozo this evening and had a lovely meal there! The vibe was so homey and the owners were very nice. We ordered 4 rolls, 2 of which were specialty rolls and they were all so fresh and delicious. Some of the best sushi I’ve had in a long while! We will definitely come back soon. 💖

They have the best sushi in Camden County and maybe all of NJ. Immaculate service, awesome atmosphere when you dine in. I cannot recommend this place more, it’s truly incredible

Can’t believe this place is 5 minutes from me and I’m having it for the first time. Exceptional and fast service. Highly recommend the Kani salad and sushi isn’t bad out of the 2 I’ve had.

Dropped in for a quick bite to eat w my wife and five-year old. Everything was great and they were super accommodating with my daughter and helped us pick stuff she would like.

My partner and I found this place on a random Friday night and we are so glad we did! This is the best sushi restaurant I’ve been to in the area. It feels like home and the owners are absolutely wonderful. They really care about what you order and what your preferences are. They make sure you leave feeling like you ordered the perfect items and the perfect amount! Every item I’ve tried so far has been a hit and their fish is always super fresh! I ordered a chirashi zushi, it was delicious... my family got other rolls and a korean meal... it was all great... I just wish I knew that they are charging 3% on using credit... This place has turned me into a sushi addict! I never enjoyed sushi much, but this place has changed the game for me! The chef even convinced me to adventure out of my normal order and try something new which was amazing! The food is top tier but the vibe is even better! Authentic Japanese & sushi. I got cucumber rolls, which are my favorite; and they did not disappoint. Seaweed on the sushi rolls is also done very well; which is a rare find. Fresh fish all around. I got yellowtail, spicy tuna & crispy shrimp tempura. So yummy!!!

I don’t come onto google to write a review often but Zushi Dozo left me no choice. This restaurant is phenomenal! You can see the care and passion in every dish. We knew from the second the gyoza came out we were going to have a great dinner. The sushi was incredibly fresh and I couldn’t stop shoveling the chicken fried rice. Finishing the meal with a mango and strawberry jelly bubble tea was icing on the cake. This family operated restaurant deserves all the success!

What a gem this place is! Rather unassuming modest atmosphere and not an expansive selection of raw fish, but what they do serve is nothing short of masterful! The yellowtail carpaccio appetizer was melt-in-your mouth tender and between the tobiko, ponzu, scallions and hint of truffle oil, the flavors just exploded on my tongue. I'd be hard-pressed to think of a more innovative salad than their extraordinarily delicious Ocean Breeze Salad. I have never had or, I believe, even heard of a salmon skin salad as far as I can recall, but after eating this combination of salmon skin, spring mix, seaweed salad and shallots, dressed with sriracha vinaigrette, eel sauce, ponzu, scallions and tobiko, I will always be on the lookout for it. To finish off, I had a small assortment of nigiri, all that were remarkably tender and delicious. Especially good were the yellowtail and the Albacore tuna. Also, my partner had the chicken katsu which we both loved. They also seem to have some great lunch specials, but we were there in the early evening.

Tonight was our third time going to Zushi Dozo and they never disappoint. EVERY single thing we have ordered from here has been amazing and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who’s looking for fresh and delicious food. I also think this is a small family business which we love, if so. This will continue to be our favorite place to grab sushi and more!

I did take it out because the sign on the door led me to believe it was the only option, which was no problem because they packed it beautifully and ensured all condiments were included. I ordered soup, salad, rolls, and maki. The Miso was in a small container and was good. It didn't taste like fish like others I tried, but it was still flavorful. The green salad was a smaller portion made with mix and cucumbers but had a delicious ginger dressing. The soft-shell crab and Philly roll were packed together in a middle container with ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce. The SSCR portion was excellent, and the crab was lightly battered and deep-fried to perfection, and it was terrific. The Philly roll had a large chunk of fresh salmon and cream cheese and was perfect. The Maki Trio was packed in a large container, including ginger, wasabi, and soy. It was delicious and included three different types of roll: one minced fish and two raw. The raw looked and tasted so fresh you could see the grain of the fish. I was not a fan of their soy sauce at all! From my observation, they are so busy the fish is always fresh. They have a few tables, but it would seem that they prefer customers to takeout. Overall, it was a great experience because the order was correct, the portions were good, and the service/timing was speedy despite how busy they were.

The best sushi we had since being in Japan. The sushi was excellent so fresh, delicious and a great selection. The home made ginger dressing for the salad was also excellent. We have driven by here for years and we are so glad we went in. We can't wait to go again-this is our new place for sushi. The inside is small and not fancy but it is like being in a family sushi restaurant you would find in Japan.

Appreciation post for an amazing sushi/Japanese cuisine. Sushi dozo located at: 1892 Marlton Pike East #2, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003 The food really blew my family and I away. The waitress was great and it seems like a nice family run restaurant. The sushi was really set apart by the seasoned and fresh rice. Also the veggie fried rice was the best we have ever had. If your in the area definitely give them a try. Pictured here is a great veggie curry and steamed vegetable dumpling both were phenomenal.

This is such a great hole in the wall place! Plenty of seating inside it was crowded through a lot of people came for order pickup which was a good sign about the food. The waitress was so nice to offer suggestions and I told her which specialty rolls interested me but I can eat spicy food and she made them mild for me. Who does that?! And I loved the rolls it was the "Second Wife" roll (yellowtail, mango, jalapeño). Trifecta Roll is their best seller (spicy tune, albacore, white tuna) - this was spicy so if you can't handle the heat definitely get this. Came here for dinner and had an EXCELLENT meal! We got the spicy tuna 'sandwich', the nigiri lover, spicy scallop roll and eel sashimi. We were rudely spoken to on the phone while making the reservation. When we arrived, a hand gesture pointed us towards the table with no return greeting. The WORST and most horrifying moment was when that same lady indicated she would not have allowed us to come if she knew we had to bring my son’s own food due to severe allergies. As a parent of a child with life threatening allergies and to hear that ignorance coming from a business is unreal. My son was so sad and upset, he curled up and hid on my lap. Hands down the best sushi in or outside of the city. The chef makes really creative rolls and flavors. The carpaccio is out of this world. We get it every time! I agree with the reviewers who said hidden gem and great sushi where you would not expect it. I took my oldest kid for a quick dinner tonight. We are NYC transplants and have found a couple of good places but the last fave had horrendous service. So when she asked for Japanese I asked her if she'd risk the "place around the corner". Completely unassuming with a sign that looks like it belongs to an 80s Chinese restaurant, the food was off the hook. We had beef negimaki - shockingly tender and different to what we are used to wrapped much tighter more like a small dumpling, edamame (crisp and not overcooked/ mushy), the carpaccio (toro! and truffle yuzu) and the sashimi platter. Fish was fresh (albeit a little cold - some of it was straight from the fridge and not room temp), huge but very fine daikon radish slices to swish thru the sushi. Miso was good and the tempura ice cream was fine altho I prefer it with sweet tempura batter and not cake batter - it gets too thick, sweet and soggy - I prefer the contrast of the crunchy slightly salty heat, with the sweet cold, but it was definitely ok.
