Adorable place with the nicest owners and delicious food! Great option for inexpensive sandwiches!

My Fiancé and I just had lunch here today. A friend recommended me here and I’m so glad she did. The service from the owner was excellent, we had fun talking to him. The food? Phenomenal! There were so many things we wanted to try, they cooked everything quickly and everything was fresh. It’s a very pleasant atmosphere, they even have a little market type area with plushies, keychains, and a bunch of other cool stuff. I will most definitely be back. If you haven’t been here before, it’s worth the trip! I recommend the Bulgogi Fries, they were awesome!!

Stopped by for some banh mi and was not disappointed. Bread was so soft and the meat was perfectly tender. Paired it with a Vietnamese coffee (only place I’ve been able to find it in Richmond). Will definitely be coming back.

Everything was amazing We got the bulgogi rice bowl, the bulgogi Bahn mi, chicken teriyaki bunbuns, and pork gyoza dumplings! My tired pregnant self perked right up after the meal and it was EVERYTHING I had hoped it would be! It was SO great we got some bubble tea and coconut dumplings after which was Just as AH-MAZING but we forgot to take photos 😅 They were also super sweet to our toddler! Can't wait for my next OB appointment so we can come back!

My friend and I tried 88 street food and wow! We will be back! I had a Banh mi sandwich. The bread tasted so fresh and the tofu was delicious. We also had boba tea and agreed it was the best we’ve ever had.

Definitely a place to go for a quick meal! Nice that they have variety of Asian street food.

Love this place! The lemongrass tofu banh mi was so delicious, loved how fresh and flavorful it was. The chicken gyoza and dipping sauce it came with was really good as well - the gyoza had nice crispy edges. We got a Thai tea with almond milk and loved that! Major plus that they have non dairy options for their drinks. The service was amazing with a super friendly and comfortable atmosphere. I can't wait to go back!

Best Banh Mi in RVA but we have tried many of the dishes here and they are all fantastic. My daughter loves the Boba Tea!! Really friendly people who you can tell care about their food and guests. Highly recommend.

Super friendly staff! We ordered the beef bulgogi banh mi and the ube coffee. Both are delicious. It only took 5-10 minutes for the food and they brought it right out to our table

A little hidden and very lowkey, clean interior. I really enjoyed the chicken bowl and lemongrass pork dishes that a friend and I got. As many others have pointed out, the owners are super friendly. Will definitely return!

The food and service are amazing! I've tried multiple menu items and haven't had a bad meal yet. The owners are incredibly friendly and want to make sure you have a good experience.

I will blindly support any Vietnamese restaurant in richmond because I adore everything about the country, culture and people of Viet Nam, but the food we had here tasted very boring — Barely any spices and just one little leaf of cilantro — and the atmosphere of the place & prices of the dishes felt more airport cafeteria than cozy. That being said, the place is very clean and the Vietnamese couple that runs the place is so warm & friendly; they even speak Spanish! Will definitely be back to try their Banh mi and drinks.

The BEST Pork Banh Mi sandwiches we’ve had in a long time! Very nice and friendly employees, as well, very sweet. Super fast service, too! I’ll remember this place when we’re back in town.

The fried shrimp stuffed with Asian vegetables were very tasty.

Ordered one item but ended up getting charged for two and also was served two items, one of which I had no interest in but didn’t realize this until it was too late. It was just an oversight though, so no big deal. Not much atmosphere going on as I guess this is just mostly a take-out place and/or is new.

I came here with my cousins and their daughters and we had an absolutely fantastic meal. The staff who I assume were the owners were super friendly and willing to offer recommendations to a Vietnamese food newcomer like myself. All the food was super delicious. When the food came one of the owners warned us that the dumplings would be hot and gave a special and very kind warning to my cousins toddler daughter because he was afraid she may burn her mouth if she rushed to eat. All in all a wonderful, very clean, very modern restaurant with delicious food and run by Wonderful people.

My second time visiting the restaurant, the food was so fresh and delicious and of course I love the Boba. Even the owners are so sweet and welcoming. I’ve told all my coworkers about this place and a few have already gone for lunch. I can’t wait to go back again and try something new!

Our group tried several small plates, including gyoza & dynamite shrimp, plus bulgogi fries, lemongrass pork banh mi, and pork bun bun. All delicious! Plus a few tea drinks - both milk and fruit - also very tasty. Very friendly and convenient location.

Really nice dining room with friendly service. The Bulgogi Bao Bun app was fresh and delicious, and the Teriyaki Chicken Rice bowl was plentiful and tasty. Very good value for money paid and food received. I'll be back.

Really delicious food and super sweet owners! The restaurant is SUPER cute inside! I got a matcha boba tea and bulgogi and it was delicious! There was even a cute little shop with plushies and keychains and a photo opportunity! I will definitely go back with friends! It’s so good!

Such a cute place! We got pork belly banh mi, a lemongrass pork bowl, and an avocado smoothie and everything was great! Definitely the best banh mi I’ve had and everything was so fresh. The inside is clean and very cutely decorated and the staff was so nice and helpful. Don’t let the outside fool you, we will definitely be back.

This is such a sweet restaurant! The owners are extremely kind. Food - 10/10 I got their strawberry tea with boba, crispy rolls, and garlic shrimp noodles. During our lunch, the owner came up to us and asked how the food was and chatted with us. So incredibly sweet.

This place is so cute and the food is awesome! Their Vietnamese coffee is delicious and their boba Thai tea was perfect! Not too sweet like some other places can be. Whether you’re just a little snacky or hungry for a full meal they have something delicious for you!

The food and boba teas were so delicious and the staff is so friendly!!! We will definitely be coming back here. We ordered the lemongrass pork bun bun, veggie spring rolls, and teriyaki chicken rice bowl, which were all delicious. I would only add a tiny bit more pork to the bun bun and they’d be perfect! We also got peach and strawberry passion fruit teas which were the perfect level of sweetness for our tastes, since sometime the syrups can be too much but this one was just right! It’s also a really cute place, overall loved everything!!

the food here was SO GOOD!! we got the lemongrass pork banh mi, the lemongrass pork bun bun special, the spicy korean popcorn chicken, the beef bulgogi fries, and the peach fruit tea with lychee jelly and tapioca boba. the popcorn chicken wasn’t spicy and the tapioca was unfortunately soft, but everything was still soooo delicious. the guy that helped us was very funny and helpful. the atmosphere was adorable and cool and the bathrooms were very clean. would come again!

These people are the type of people you want to buy your street food from. And a lot of it is fried, be aware. But the banh mis are rocking, the bulgogi fries are rocking, the shumai and the garlic wonton rock. But I just want to highlight how kind and warm and welcoming the people are there. They really want your business, and they deserve it.

This place deserves to have a crowd of people in it at all times. It is quickly becoming one of my go-to's for a quick bite.

Shocked that this place wasn’t packed because the food, services and atmosphere were all incredible. My husband and I each had a banh mi, teriyaki chicken and lemongrass tofu, an order of the lemongrass pork summer rolls and teriyaki chicken bun buns. Everything was so fresh, so flavorful. He said the summer pork rolls were incredible and his banh mi was one of the best he’s ever had. My tofu banh mi was not only one of the best banh mi I’ve ever had but had some of the best cooked and flavored tofu I’ve had. The restaurant was incredibly clean and the minimal decor is perfect to make the space cute and cozy with out being distracting. And the owner was so kind, open to any critiques to improve (we didn’t have a single one), and just all around a joy in the space and I’m glad we got to personally meet him. We will be back for sure!

Went for the first time today and had an amazing experience. We ordered the ube coffee, peach fruit tea, bulgogi fries, and garlic popcorn chicken. The wait wasn’t long, the food was delicious with great flavor, and the drinks were amazing! The ube coffee is a new all time favorite of mine and I got a second one to take home (as well as another order of bulgogi fries!!). Staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, you can tell they really care about their business and the quality of their food/service. We will definitely be back for more!

Delicious Vietnamese street food! My husband is Vietnamese and he approves of the banh mi at this place. We’ve also tried their spring rolls and bowls which all taste great. I just had their popcorn chicken bowl today which was great! Staff are attentive and have great customer service. Have not tried their boba yet but looking forward to trying next time. It’s a great hole in the wall casual spot on W Broad St. Would recommend!

Stopped in before a show at the JCC. Got a “snack” garlic fried wonton, pork crispy rolls and a Thai tea boba. All delicious, staff was super friendly and informative explaining things to customers Great food, great customer service. We will be back to try more of their menu.

So surprised to find the place was empty? The lady who helped us was super nice, very nice dining area, and we got the bulgogi fries (cleared in 30 seconds)!! The rau cau (traditional viet jelly) was a little too sweet and definitely should've got the korean spicy popcorn chicken instead of the garlic, but still good!! Definitely check it out :)

I had a lovely experience at 88 street food. The staff was patient as I muddled my way through my order and accidentally combined orders. The food was flavorful and the portion was filling. It is in a weird place but the atmosphere inside wasn't bad.

Casual atmosphere, excellent service and the best banh mi in RVA. Rarely leave reviews but this place&owner warrants it. The guy that owns the place has excellent customer service, and the banh mi here is noticeably better than nearby Catina. Technically the all-organic banh mi at Sen Organic is better, but who wants to pay like $18 for a banh mi.. Bubble tea is solid but nothing special. I wouldn't go here just for that, but happy to add one to my meal if in the mood (which is usually..) Their exact location has had multiple failed restaurants there so I truly hope they stick around. Try it out! You won't be disappointed

Fun and family-friendly spot for authentic Korean and Southeast Asian street food-style dishes. The service is fast, prices are reasonable, and the level of customer service is above and beyond. The owner goes out of his way to take care of his customers and to make sure they’re satisfied with their meals. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Im so happy there’s finally a good banh mi place in RVA. We tried the banh mi dac biet and pork belly and both were so fresh and they were very generous with the filling! My boyfriend and I are already making plans to come back weekly hahaha

My fiancé and I come here pretty regularly and have loved everything we’ve gotten. He usually goes for the bulgogi fries (which are always crispy even with the sauce) and I lean towards any of their tofu items. My favorite has been the tofu bun bun or the tofu bahn mi! Either way I always know it’s gonna come out hot, quick and tasty. When we are feeling a little extra hungry we get a boba to split and so far have loved these as well. (Tropical Tea, Rose Tea and Matcha) The owner is amazingly kind and always checks on us as we’re eating to make sure everything came out great!

The owner has INCREDIBLE energy! Everyone was so welcoming. Super clean and spacious. Banh mi was a nice size. Bread was fluffy and the ratio of toppings was perfect. They have a buy 5, get 1 free special. Lots of different kinds! Nice selection of drinks. I got ube coffee, which I don’t see often. 100% recommend checking this place out and supporting! It’s definitely my new go-to banh mi spot. I already can’t wait to go back and try some other menu items.

The Vegetarian Bahn Mi is fantastic! I am constantly on the lookout for a good vegetarian Vietnamese options in Richmond, and we've finally discovered it! The menu offers a variety of veg/vegan choices, and the staff is attentive to ensuring your order stays vegetarian. With reasonable prices, I highly recommend it!
