So disappointed… The place was half empty and the host played the game of you have no reservation “let me see what I can do” Put us at the end of the restaurant outside Like they doing us a favor.. Atmosphere of sitting at the end of the parking lot with a very noisy people beside us. Food was high in sodium and very salty. Felt like a balloon when we left. I would just like to mention that our waiter was awesome Young man and very sweet. save your money and time and eat hummus elsewhere For half a price where they recognize good customers And appreciate your money. I will never go back!

Amazing experience - came here and enjoyed the Miami Spice menu, thinking we would get small tastes of the menu items. To my surprise, we were served full sized portions. Everything was delicious and Andre was an EXCELLENT server - attentive, knowledgeable, and very professional. We will definitely come back and recommend it to others!

We love this place! First, the service - The hostess was very sweet and accommodating. Greeting us with a huge, authentic smile (will remember her name for sure the next time we see her). Our server Ed had a great attitude, was extremely professional and made the best recommendations. The general manager Jay remembered us from a previous establishment and he took fantastic care of us. He ensured our experience was top notch from the moment we walked through the door until he walked us out at the end of our evening. Aba nailed it here for sure. The food- Exceptionally flavorful dishes.. stemming from high quality ingredients cooked to perfection! Not overly seasoned either so you get the natural, delicious Mediterranean flavors as it should be. We had to look up the executive chef (CJ Jacobson) when we got home because we were incredibly impressed with every single dish that came out. We started with the spicy garlic hummus and the house made labneh spread. Fantastic contrasting flavors! Even our 2 year old (who has quite the palate) sat quietly with a huge smile and couldn't stop eating these. For mains we tried the Tamarind braised short ribs and the Lamb & Beef kebabs. Both were phenomenal. The sides that came with them balanced each dish very well. Desserts - we really liked the date cake and we were treated to the Bougatsa which was a delicious surprise. Can't wait to come back. In fact, we are booked at Aba tonight for Father's Day!

My wife and I went for Dinner Sunday night May 19th around 7:30 pm, we spend our Anniversary weekend in Miami for a quick get away at the Ritz just a few minutes away from this amazing restaurant. We had a beautiful private patio table with a giant fan creating the perfect temperature and breeze for dining outside. We decided to go to this establishment on a recommendation from a well respected colleague of my wife's that travels often like her, so I mentioned that and that we come down every year for our anniversary. Well the manager immediately welcomed us and treated us fantastic, we had 5 star service from every person we were in contact with, from the Waiter, the table back, the wine sommelier (who was excellent and offered the perfect wine combination and it was a very reasonable priced wine (had 1 bottle and maybe a glas out of the second, took the rest back with us to the hotel) when we offered no spending concerns before his recommendation.) Everyone rocked. Now the food!! Absolutely amazing, such well thought out menu items prepared to perfection. Every bite is unique and delicious but also familiar but on its best level. We had the Hummus with Lamb Ragu so amazing and light and tons of flavor, the green falafel balls which are amazing and I'm not a big fan but my wife wanted them and the were on point. Then we had the Steak Tartar which was perfect and genius, my wife doesn't enjoy raw onion but the preparation had no raw onion but all the taste of a true tartar. The Brussel sprouts were sweet, charred crispy, delicious and abundant. We also got a chicken kabob and lamb chops which were both excellent with perfect cook temps, beautifully thought out sauces and garnishes. It was amazing. Most dishes are for sharing and not huge like tappas. So it allowed us to sample alot of things we were interested in trying without wasting food. The desserts were very unique and delicious, we tried the frozen Greek yogurt with olive oil and sea salt (which was good for something I don't really enjoy but my wife loves, kind of sour like a lemon sorbet) and the date cake which was amazing, loved it, perfect sweet, crunch, texture, flavor absolutely perfect. We were also brought the chocolate orange cremeux dessert to try because I think we were having so much fun and loving everything, then they paid for all three desserts, for our Anniversary. It was an amazing experience and more importantly an amazing date with my wife even after 24 years together, a night we will always cherish.

This is a weekend staple! You can’t go wrong with Aba if it’s a bite to eat or for an actual meal. Food is always delicious and service is amazing. The labneh, whipped feta and muhamara are a must. You can expect a visit from the manager every visit giving it a personalized touch.

The place is spectacular! We ate delicious and the best thing is the attention of the staff: friendly and with a lot of knowledge and patience to recommend the best dishes. Lester, Julia and Gabriel the best hosts in the place. We will be back!

Best Mediterranean food I've had. Definitely awesome Garlic hummus. Waiter was amazing and I loved the vibe as well. The drink named Freeze Me is delicious. Also shoutout to Mr. Anacostia. That's not his name but that's where he was from and we are from DMV as well. He was an awesome waiter. I have an allergy to oranges. And the staff brought out my drink with a big ol piece orange in it. Before I could say anything, he got to my table so fast and snatched that drink before I could even breathe on it lol. He immediate had it remade. Plus the chef, we met her on the way out, was amazing kudos to her!!!

Love this place. Service, food, ambience is perfect. It gets a little hot on the patio but honestly they did everything they could to change that. They even brought my puppy a little meal. Staff is so nice. The straciatella is a must try if that’s something you’re into. Will return.

Amazing food and amazing service. My family and I came for my mom’s birthday and we shared the classic hummus and the muhammara. Both were super creamy and delicious. We also had the kale Cesar salad as a palate cleanser, but it absolutely stole the show… probably one of the best kale salads I’ve ever had. Not a huge fan of the ahi tuna, but the crab cakes were awesome. Travis was very attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu, giving us perfect recommendations and explanations. When I told him I had an upset stomach, he immediately recommended a tea with a side of honey, and quickly came back with it within a couple minutes. On the reservation, I had put in the details “birthday,” but didn’t put anything else. At the end of our meal, Travis came with a delicious ice cream dessert and a lit up a candle. Definitely will be returning!

SERVICE IS a JOKE! No one here have an idea of what a fine dinning service is! I came a day that they were not busy at all from the manager all the way to servers and basers!! 100$ per person and service is WACK! Really bad NEVER COMING AGAIN. Food was BAD. I wanted to write about a recent experience my family had dining at Aba (inside the Bal Harbour Shops). For years, we have dined at another restaurant in the plaza, but decided to give Aba a try. I'm so glad we did. Let's start with the ambiance. It's gorgeous. We sat outside, and it was like a little piece of paradise. The food, as well, was excellent. It was inventive, beautifully-presented, flavourful, and the portion sizes were generous for sharing. The only exception is that I found there wasn't enough pita to accompany the dips we ordered, so we had to request additional baskets. Now, let's get to the service: it was top-tier. Our server was very pleasant and well-informed about the menu. We had a slight issue toward the end of the meal, where two of our main dishes were taking longer to arrive than anticipated. We inquired about their whereabouts, and not only did the server rectify the issue immediately, but, without request, the manager (If I remember correctly, his name is Adam?) came over to offer his apologies and make things right. He was kind and professional, and clearly understands the service industry well. All in all, from start to finish, our experience at Aba was a positive one, and I'd gladly return.

Great mediterranean option in Bel Harbour. Spread are delicous, especially the muhammara - flavorful, crunchy, and spicy. Also very good the himmus and the charred eggplant. Excellent cauilflower kebab. Good crispy potatoes. Uneventful chicken kebab and brisket kefta. Elegant. Make a reservation it's popular

This place is so expensive and always disappoints in some way or another. This is the teeny chicken we got for $26.00. The potatoes are always hard and not fluffy so we don't get that anymore. Maybe they get cold and dense in the delivery. Brussels were good and good size and beef was much better this time, soft rather than tough. So there are somw positives. Just feels like for the price everything would be nothing short of excellent.

One of my favorites in Bal Harbour! Aba has such a beautiful and inviting atmosphere. The food is incredible - from the muhammara and spicy garlic dip (served with the most amazing bread) to the short rib. Just a truly amazing experience overall.

The salmon kebab was over cooked, the tuna carpaccio was 3 or so tiny slices of tuna swimming in liquid and pomegranette seeds. For the price ,either place next door is way better. Service was attentive and quick

First of all amazing food and wine. Nick was an amazing waiter. Second I LOVE the fact they don’t play the 20% service charge plus 20% tip scam they play all over Miami. They call a gratuity a gratuity and don’t try to tack on 40% to a bill. That is class and this place is class!

I dined here before and gave it 4 stars. I'm revising that to 5. Everything was perfect this go around. I feel confident that you will enjoy the restaurant and it's vibe. Previous review: I've eaten at Aba in Austin. This one is definitely a step above Austin. The food is tasty but I feel the choices are limited and portion size small. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely dine here again.

Very flavorful hummus. They had a dedicated gluten free menu. Wine selection sections were super clutch like “wines from the ancient world”. Great place to go on a date. I enjoyed the short rib also.

had a reservation for the inside table with pleasant ambiance but system converted to the outside which wasn’t what we wanted. the host refused to accommodate for inside seating despite the reservation and request. The waiter was completely unengaged and could not even make a recommendation. The tenderloin came oversalted and very bloody even though ordered medium. would NOT recommend.

It was all that plus more so much to do. We had a great time a perfect place for a girls trip.

The restaurant's aesthetic is truly beautiful, and the food was both delicious and generously portioned.However, I was disappointed by the level of service provided. Upon my arrival, I noticed several dirty tables adjacent to mine, which took a considerable amount of time for the staff to clean and reset. Additionally, throughout my meal, there was a lack of attention from the staff. No manager checked on my table, and it seemed there was minimal presence on the floor. Furthermore, while your bar is impressive, I found the presentation and consistency of the drinks to be subpar. For instance, the Gin and tonic I ordered was served in a tiny highball glass initially, and the second one arrived in a rock glass, which was quite inconsistent. Additionally, the drinks lacked proper presentation and garnish. On a positive note, the desserts were exceptional. I’m not coming back.

Oh my goodness! You have to hear about Aba at Bal Harbour Shops! This place is an absolute stunner, both inside and out. And the food, oh my gosh, the food is Mediterranean California style and it's absolutely delicious. I couldn't believe how helpful and friendly our waitress was. She gave us the most amazing recommendations. We were a group of five, so we decided to mix things up and try a bit of everything. And boy, were we glad we did! We ordered a bunch of dishes including hummus, spicy lamb ragu, smoky garlic, classic, charred eggplant, crispy potatoes, green falafel, beef tartare, truffled baked orzo, and tamarind-braised short rib. It was all so incredibly tasty. And as if that wasn't enough, we had to try their dessert - the Bougatsa was an absolute must-try and it did not disappoint. If you're looking for a new spot to try, this place should be at the top of your list. You won't be disappointed!

The restaurant was super cute and my food was decent, but the service was poor. We waited a good 15 minutes for a server to come up to us, ordered right away, and they never brought my drink. The busser brought a bottle of water (when I was in the bathroom,) which ended up being $10 on the check?? Once we finally got our food, no one checked back. The steak was well and it was supposed to be med-rare, but since our server never came back we weren’t able to get a new one. But the octopus was good. And a table that came 20 minutes AFTER us left 20 minutes before us simply because our server wasn’t paying attention.. shame.

This restaurant has been one of my go tos ever since it opened. The ambiance is impeccable. They have wonderful indoor and outdoor seating. And an outstanding menu!! First time actually trying an entree and I was impressed. My consistent go to’s are the crispy potatoes, eggplant, Brussels and kebabs. Besides the tasty food the other thing that keeps me coming back is the consistent terrific service. Thank you Raul and Jay!

The food was absolutely delicious, and so was the overall experience. I highly recommend the spreads. Everything tastes so hearty & healthy. The only feedback I have is that the waitress immediately got upset when I tipped 20%. I thought it was just the right amount but I guess she was really unhappy because she was suddenly extremely rude and moody. Worth the hype! Amazing out-door space, great food, but the real kicker is the service! My wife and I frequent restaurants in South (west) FL seasonally, however, we were in Miami for a wedding and were recommended to Aba Miami, and let me tell you, our waitress Suzy absolutely stole the show! I can genuinely say we have never felt so welcomed and cared for by anyone at any restaurant. The place was jammed packed, but that didn't stop Suzy from making our dining experience one to remember. It was almost as if we thought of something, and before we could tell her, she already did it! That was all well and good, but I think what really took the cake was the sincerity, she genuinely cared to know how we were doing from the second we sat to the moment we left. My wife and I made comments to each other numerous times throughout the meal on how great she was! We also rarely write reviews, but Suzy was so incredible, it would feel wrong to not let people know. As mentioned, the food was exceptional and we would already have been going back for that alone, however we are really going back because of how great our experience was. We highly recommend going to Aba Miami, and we cannot thank them enough to having people who truly care about their patrons the way Suzy does. Thank you! We look forward to seeing you next time Suzy! I have eaten in ABA many times and is always good. In my opinion this restaurant have the highest quality of service in the mall. The atmosphere and decoration is cozy, chic and warm. Tables inside and outside-covered. Quality of food is excellent. I love the hummus and falafel. Good variety of drinks and selection of wines. Good options also for vegetarian eaters.

Definitely my To Go Restaurant in Bal Harbour. That you eat outside in the patio or inside, the decor is outstanding. Love the trees and plants. Very nice choivce of spreads to choose from for appetizers and my favorite branzino in town for main. I ask the sauce on the side. Nice selection of cocktails and wine as well. Staff was professional and friendly each time I had lunch or dinner. Highly recommended

Disappointing experience. Visiting from out of town and chose to spend our last evening at Aba. Our food took an outrageously long time to arrive and we had to send two items back to the kitchen because of mistakes. A kitchen staff member was offended when we asked them to clear the plates from our starters. After all of that the manager said they would rectify the issue with our orders by taking the items off our bill. When the bill arrived the items were still on the bill. The food was good but the lack of service ruined our last evening on vacation.

Not impressed. The food was just ok (I would never suggest anyone to pair chicken with stracciatella though), the dessert (called sticky date or smth) was literally burnt. The most delicious thing was the mocktail. Interior is nice, gives those mediterranean vibes. Feels like the fewer customers there are, the slower is the service, and this regards to literally any place in Miami :)

We had a wonderful meal at Aba with fantastic service by Travis and others. Everything Travis recommended was delicious, particularly the octopus, scallops, cashew dip and butternut squash hummus. It's a beautiful restaurant and we look forward to returning soon.

I came here to have a drink. I had just gotten some tragic news and just wanted to sit and sort of reflect. I got two absolutely delicious cucumber martinis made by Wanda. This woman is not only an amazing bartender but she’s a lovely person. She took notice of the way I was feeling, and made sure to not only give amazing service but also give me a lil treat to make me feel better. Drinks were amazing but the vibe was even better. Thank you for your amazing energy.

Took my client and best friend to dinner . We did enjoy it very much. The service, food and atmosphere was incredible. Definitely will go back to try the rest of the food as there is a huge menu to choose from. We asked the server to surprise us on the drinks - and he even made them to match our outfit (one green and one pink ) my friend had a green dress and I had pink :) . Francois the manager was great too. Top service - approaching the tables and making sure customers enjoy the place
