Visited for dinner and the food was very good. Large portions. I specially loved the cherry lemonade with cardamon. The bread and the various sauces that comes with it was very good. Meat was tender and cooked to perfection. The menu is big and a bit hard to follow but I will definitely be going back.

The food is very good in terms of quality and quantity. Very nice staff, we were given a dessert for no particular reason, you don't experience that otherwise...

Such a wonderful restaurant in Georgetown. It was hard to choose as the menu offers so many delectable dishes. We went with kebab, dumplings and eggplant - and each was delicious. Interesting cocktails and mocktails too. Nice service, with lots of helpful explanations on each dish. Thank you for a nice evening

Had a delightful dinner in the cozy dining room. Food was exquisite and super flavorful (pumpkin dumplings, moghuli with lamb shank, pomegranate lemonade.) Service also excellent, I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Exceptional addition to Georgetown. Located on the east end of town, the plates are many and diverse with complex middle eastern flavors. The slow cooked meats are phenomenal. The dumplings, devine. Highly trained voluminous wait staff that are not in your way. I’ve eaten in many tasty Afghan restaurants, but this one pulls off well a luxury experience. Great job!

I was very excited to try this new addition of the Afghan Bistro family, and it didn't disappoint like any of the other three locations. Amazing food, great service! Always a fantastic experience. Highly recommend!!!!!!

First time trying afghani food and I was really impressed at how good the food and service were. The sambosas were different from what I was typically used to but they were full of flavor. Additionally the lamb was perfectly grilled and the rice had a lot of flavor to it. 10/10 will be coming back on my next DC visit!

Visiting DC alone and didn’t have plans for dinner. Just happened to walk past this place and decided to give it a try. Service was warm and prompt (not always my experience as a solo female diner). I had the vegetarian sampler (chickpea, greens, butternut squash, okra and eggplant, with rice pulao, bread and spicy dips). The food was insanely delicious, with each vegetable individually prepared and spiced (cardamom on the butternut squash was my favorite). I wanted to drag people in off the street and get them to try it. If I lived here I would be going back again and again.

Wow! I got the pumpkin dumplings to start, then decided to try the lamb - out of this world! The dumplings were a perfect balance of salty and sweet, the lamb was fall off the bone tender with incredible depth of flavors. The service was fantastic and they were happy to answer all my questions about their menu options. I highly recommend eating here, you won’t regret it!

I am a huge fan of the Afghan Bistro in Springfield, VA, and this location did not disappoint. The food, service, and ambiance were phenomenal. We had a wonderful time celebrating Mother's Day!

I'll keep it short and sweet. This was the beat meal I've had in a long, long time. Absolutely delicious. Excellent atmosphere and service. We're not locals, so unfortunately we won't have the chance to come back anytime soon. Such a great restaurant.

A wonderful Afghan restaurant, its dishes are delicious and innovative, and its service is excellent.

We’ve been enjoying this family’s Afghan cuisine at Bistro Aracosia for many years and refer to as our favorite, mouth watering, food in DC. Naturally we are delighted to have this new restaurant in Georgetown. We’ve already dined here several times and would rate many dishes among the best: the Qormas, Sabzi, dumplings, wraps, lamb shank are all made to perfection. Enjoy!

What a treat! The appetizers were very original and delicious (dumplings assortment and qurotis). The mains are delicious as well.

Afghania is one of the upscale, intimate, visually & appetite-appealing restaurants I’ve been to in a very long time. Their dishes stay consistent across the sister restaurants in the DC Metro area. The ambiance is warm and inviting, the dishes are served steaming with the best of Afghan spices, and the hospitality continues to be unmatched. Thank you again for a beautiful night. A lovely restaurant right on M street. My wife and I came here for a date night and loved it. Each course was delicious. The baklava is a must try, especially with the green tea (as recommended by the manager). The service was also amazing. A must try!
