Excellent family place with 🎤 karaoke

Was looking for a good Peruvian place to eat at around Passaic and Clifton this popped up with good reviews so we gave it a try. The food was most definitely bomb and a big portion. I went with 3 people my plate did end up coming like 5 mins after everyone but it wasn’t big deal tbh I see a lot of people complaining about that. Atmosphere was good if you like quietness. Waiters were kind yea a little serious but not everyone is cheerful & jolly they still were very polite and delivered anytime we needed something. Overall I definitely would recommend!

Food was amazing, portions were fantastic. Byob and the restaurant is very nice

The food has no Peruvian flavor at all. I couldn't even eat it because of hunger.

Yummy food, decent prices & nice atmosphere! Took off one star, because I went with a group of 13 and everyone's food came out at different times & one person's order was forgotten.

Was there for Jalea...:( 90 % squid rings I had to look for the 5 small shrimp,4 very tiny pieces of fish 2 clam and 4casava fries.

I got the beef lomo and a seafood and rice dish. I love Peruvian food and every time I am in Jersey I make sure I pick up some yummies...but I wasn't impressed with the dishes I got here. The place looks great, and the service was great as well, but I've had better Peruvian food in the area.

Very bad experience, we spent 20 minutes waiting to be served and that did not happen, another table arrived and then they served it, the waiters with a certain attitude to serve us and also applied the tip to the bill. As if we weren't going to pay.

My family and I usually come here every one’s a week. We came with family today and our food came late. My aunt’s soup came 30 minutes, pretty much when we finished our meal. Then the servers were taking our plates like we are barely finishing and they were just taking them like rude. What happen! It was barely busy today.

They have good prices, clean and well preserved establishment.

Probe este restaurante el sábado por primera vez, tenia música en vivo y un ambiente muy agradable. La causa acevichada estuvo deliciosa, pregunte y me dijeron que tienen un chef nuevo que ha ganado premios en gastronomía Peruana. Estoy muy contento de haber encontrado este lugar. Gracias por todo!

Dissapointed to write this review Peruvian food as always been my to go place to have a decent meal with a decent budget. I ordered a Chicken aguadito soup, which is a fairly simple dish a stipen of Peruvian food, they charged $13 (not priced on the menu) for less than a drum stick of chicken literally in two small pieces, which I asked the server if this is the normal serving size? the chicken tasted frozen not fresh, same as the frozen vegetables for the soup that tasted that it has been in the freezer for far too long. The leche de tigre fish was very rough no idea what kind if fish was used but poor quality. For the fish tiradito they used not the best quality of tilapia, the chaufa of pollo the chicken seemed it was precooked and not fresh before sauteing with the rice. Flavor was average but the quality is not desirable. On top they do not have a POS system with a receipt only a manual one which is not accetable in these days for all the human error and lack of detailed itemized of your order. Do not think I will be coming back.

Salimos de nuestro trabajo a comer y las personas que nos recibieron nos dieron un mal trato ..la sopa te carnes tenía una sola carne y estaba dura la mandamos para la Cósima y regresaron sin nada el cocinero que obvio no sabe cocinar y no sabe del servicio al consumidor .. dijo que la carne no estaba dura .. las señoras Que están atendiendo al frente no saben ni tienen idea de lo que es el servicio al cliente .. es penoso pero su restaurante bajo esas condiciones no durará mucho abierto

The food is very good, but the bad thing is that when you pay, the lady at the checkout blatantly increases the prices. I asked for 2 menus ($13 each) and on a piece of paper (not a receipt) she gave me the value of $39, in the detail it said 2 menus, I also ordered a glass of chicha that looked like an instant sachet, it doesn't end there, I charged $11 for service plus taxes in total it was $72, when I complained to him, he changed the amounts on the paper but he didn't He gave the detail, he said that he had lost it, I took a photo of it, in conclusion and because this is the third time that this has happened to me in this restaurant, I am putting this review so that you can be careful when paying and make sure that the cashier Don't steal from them, look carefully and add up.

La comida es muy buena mi esposa amigos y yo hemos ido muchas veces y todo a sido muy bueno. Sin embargo ayer nos causó una mala sorpresa el hecho que la mesera que nos atendió se dedicó a catar vino con las personas que estaban al lado nuestro. Para nosotros nunca hubo un están bien? Necesitan algo más? Ni tan siquiera si queremos la cuenta. Nosotros somos conscientes de lo duro de ese trabajo por lo cual nos gusta dejar buenas propinas, incluso mucho más de lo sugerido, sin embargo la propina ya estaba incluida, tal ves por esa razón no fuimos atendidos en buena manera. En fin una mala experiencia

La comida estuvo bueno. Le pongo 1 estrella por el pesimo servicio. Hay un señor de edad que trabaja de mesero. Te ignora al pasar por tu mesa. Si le pides algo te pone mala cara y se olvida de las cosas que le pediste. Otra razon por la cual no volveria a este restaurant aparte del pesimo servicio es que te agregan la propina. Solo eramos 2 personas y le agregaron 18% de propina. Casi dejamos otro 20% por encima de eso si no nos dabamos cuenta de ese detalle. OJO no se veia muy claro. Tengan mucho cuidado y revisen su boleto.

La atención es horrible, se olvidan que estas sentado, literal tienes que pedirle la carta. Hay un señor de edad que es mesero que pasa por tu lado y atiende al que vino después de ti pero tu sigues esperando. Y así sigue dando vueltas sin atenderte. Nisiquiera esperamos, nos fuimos. Nunca mas

Based on the reviews I went with a lot of enthusiasm to this restaurant, but to get a dissapointment. I ordered potato a la huancaina, whose sauce seemed to be spoiled. It was explained to me that it was prepared with feta cheese and that was the reason for the taste. I changed the dish for a chicken soup, which was better. As for the main course, we ordered mondonguito a la italiana and cau cau, which was not bad. The chicha morada was watery. In short, I do not recommend this restaurant. The restaurant name says outside "Aji Limon", but personnel use uniforms that say "El fogon restaurant". Maybe the restaurant "Aji Limon" was bought and is under a new management. I think that using the former name of the restaurants misleads consumers.

The food is delicious- ceviche is out of this world. The beef heart - though the idea might creep you out - is super tasty! Everything our party of four ordered was really tasty!

Los precios razonables, la comida bastante buena. La papa a la huancaina y el cebiche muy rico. El arroz con marisco no me gusto mucho y. Le falto marisco. La musica de fondo deveria ser autentica de peru 🇵🇪 como el restaurante.

They include the tip..they should say this and you should give and receive an itemized bill..

Have gone multiple times and never disappointed. Authentic Peruvian food and its BYOB so that’s always a plus! I’ve gotten everything from Ceviche, Aji de gallina, seco, lomo saltado, bistec a lo pobre. It’s more on the quieter side of ambiance but customer service is always great.

Visited for a late lunch with my girlfriend and her daughter. The atmosphere was very nice and the food was very tasty woth large portions however, the waitress up charged us $1 to $2 on every entree compared to what the menu stated. I also ended up ordering an entree to go and asked for extra side salad and was charged an extra $5 for a mini onion salad. Once the check arrived I noticed the upcharges and the additional $5 for the onion salad also the waitress added on her own "custom" tip of 18% to our bill for her service even though she had to clarify with us what exactly it was that we ordered. Highly doubt if I will revisit this restaurant in the future after I ended up paying an additional $8 to $10 on my bill and the waitress had the nerve to invlude the tip on a small table of 3 people. There are many other Peruvian restaurants within 1 mile of this place.

We first visited this restaurant a couple of years ago, and their menu wasn't very diverse, we decided to visited them again, and this time we were amazed by the amount of new dishes they have added to their kitchen, we tried their "yucas a la huancaina", "causa de pollo" and their "tallarin verde w Bistec & Chicken" all of them were great, definitely we will be going back more often.

Went to this restaurant every year for my birthday. This year we went and the food was not the best. Quality had dropped tremendously. We ordered lomo saltado and Picante de mariscos, then we found out restaurant has a new owner.

We love the ceviche and lomo from there. Fresh, delivery is good, even our kids enjoy dinner from Aji Limon!

I can not deny that I enjoy the food, Jalea, ceviche, anticuchos, no complaints, customer service, one more notch to improve, you tube is a wonderful tool and free, now, I just have some questions, “service fee” equals almost 20% from the bill, does this count as a tip?, I was at “The Batello, Char house, The Highwood and El Chevere and I have never been impose with this charge, can you elaborate and elucidate clearly?

I ordered food for delivery and emphasized to the person taking the ordered that I have severe allergies to sesame. She went to the back and spoke to the chef as I was still on the phone and both reassured me they would be extremely careful with my order to prevent me from getting sick. The food arrived on time and it was very yummy! Excellent customer service and delicious Peruvian food.

Best Peruvian restaurant in the surrounding areas. Great size portions, nice staff, clean place at very affordable price. Special of the day is a win win. WATCH OUT! The true Aji Limon Restaurant doesn't exist anymore. EL FOGON which was located at 1025 Main Ave Clifton, NJ 07011 (now demolished) moved to 1239 Main Ave. Clifton, NJ 07011. The owners of EL FOGON bought out The AJI LIMON Restaurant. So if you go to the "new" Aji Limon Restaurant you are actually enjoying the quality and service of "El Fogon Restaurant".

Terrible service, I order chicken with rice (was dry and burned ) only sodas to drink and more, can't complain because I getting stupid answers, different owners now is a different ( bad ) service, place to waist you money and time

today the food had no flavor I don't know if the chef is someone else but the food was not good at all I'm sorry but I write my experience in this review.

Buena comida peruana, la atención del personal es de primera y el lugar está muy bien ambientado con fotos y motivos peruanos. Es muy acogedor para ir en familia y pasar un buen rato con la buena comida que sirven en este lugar. El caldo de gallina del menú es realmente de gallina ybes muy bueno. El menú cuesta 12 dólares y te incluye sopa, plato de fondo y chicha morada heladita. Lo recomiendo.

Most authentic Peruvian cuisine that i have EVERY consumed. Their breaded chicken is filled with every seasoning of Peru and their french fries with mayo is very tasty. If you also like creamy shrimp soup with seasoning, then i would say yes to the shrimp soup. And just to add, Inca Cola is the best Cola i have ever tasted.

I haven't experienced another Peruvian restaurant, but the food is excellent you have to wait a while before you're served but it's definitely worth the wait , I believe they are very short-handed staff wise

The manager or owner, I dont know, was very friendly to someone who stopped searching for a better tomorrow. The lady who took care of my order was friendly and professional. Arroz chaufa was good. The Jalea was ok. Attention and environment were excellent I recommend this place
