Wouldn’t know what the food taste like, I called in to order which the person answering the phone was very rude and said he’s not taking orders over the phone. Will not be giving them a try at all I guess

Slow service but good. Food is ok, food service gyro and beef. Not homemade.

Great place for gyros. Quantity and quality both top notch. The meat which you get on your gyro wrap is amazing.

A great place to eat and its carrot cake looks delicious. The service was quick and very respectful. I recommend Akropolis for a great family evening.

Working from out of town and noticed this place was around the corner. Glad I tried it. Had the Greek salad with gyro meat. It was excellent! The staff was also prompt and very friendly as well.

I have had gyros at several places all across the country and have never really been a fan. I found out I do enjoy gyros if they are good! The meat texture at this place was what other places fell short on. Hopefully I will get to experience this place one more time before we are done traveling here!

Gyro meat was tasty. Could only eat half my Greek fries because they were drowning in garlic oil. Consider tossing fries with garlic oil in separate bowl and then packing them up.

Just ordered a take out gyros - very friendly, quick and a great tasting sandwich! Loved the whole experience!

Amazing food, but do not believe their opening hours on google. Have been there several times when they are "open" to find the doors locked and no one inside. Has happened 3-5 times over the last few months where I have gone between the hours of 4-6pm to find that they are closed.

The food here is absolutely delicious! After one of the best restaurants in West Lafayette closed, this is the only other one I’ve been to in this area that matches the quality, quantity, and taste. The prices are great, even if you’re on a budget!

The best gyros in town (not that there are many options). Juicy gyro meat with quality ingredients prepared by a couple of legit Greek guys who are serious about their craft. You can't call ahead or order online - so show up in person. You won't have to wait long.

Exactly what anyone could ask for in a greek joint. Walk in and a grumpy greek man asks you what you want to eat and serves up some amazing food. Nice people and great food.

This was our first time here ever and when we mentioned this we didn’t get any guidance or encouragement for what to select or how the food is prepared. We made selections based on our previous knowledge of the culture. Even so overall it was a very good experience.

These gyros are huge and the falafel are fresh and flavorful. You get a lot for the money, which is hard to still find these days. And it's delicious. Very clearly a family-owned Greek joint with all the atmosphere. Loved hearing the Greek folk music playing on a stereo on the counter between the dining area and kitchen.

My experience was bad they was very rude to me and my woman the guy on the grill rushed me to order and mugged me and he sold me a raw Italian beef and he smashed my food and held it until it got cold called me names and all I’m from Chicago it’s a lot of fast food restaurants I know how a Italian combo look and this is from union sub on 51st Indiana Chicago il

Very good food, kind staff, inexpensive!

We’ve been customers for over 20 years! The food changes somewhat after the original owner passed away. It is still delicious, and authentic! Would highly recommend trying everything they offer!

First time here. Husband and I each got gyro, fries and a cup of water. Bill came to just under $21. Generous portions. Best gyro we have found in Indiana! Typical Greek inspired decor, but it's the service that stands out! We were greeted by an older Greek gentleman that was FANTASTIC! Fast, friendly and delicious! 10/10 would recommend! We will be back! We have found our new spot for Greek food

Went to Greece (partially inspired by this place) on our honeymoon and the gyros here are better than they were there 🤣 We love this place and the owners are awesome. Have been coming for years. Service and value are excellent. We love the regular, spicy and Athenian gyros.

Never had gyros before. This was absolutely amazing food. And for dessert? Only the most wonderful carrot cake I've ever eaten.

Been coming here since I was a kid, One of my favorite restaurants. Portions are generous and food is always hot. The gyros are an easy recommendation, I also like their spinach pie and of course- baklava.

A must when visiting Lafayette. The food is SO good. I had my usual gyro. My wife and daughter were more adventurous. We were all happy with our choices. The food here is delicious! I wish we lived closer so we could visit more. We absolutely love this place!

The Gyros are great and sevice is fast and friendly. Try their 🥗 salads they only use cold pressed olive oil which is not obtained easily in Indiana.....

Gyro plate was plentiful. Gyro meat was a bit dry. But flavor was good.

I gave 4 stars only because I'm from Chicago. And when you live in the Chicagoland area. Their is good food everywhere around you. So my stomach is pretty spoiled.lol. But when I am in Lafayette I know this is one of my spots to eat! 4 years......check it out!

The food was good and reasonably priced. The staff was effient and friendly. You go for the food and not the atmosphere as the dining area is well maintained, but very dated.

Easily the best italian beef around

Always one of my favorite places to grab a to-go order for lunch or dinner. I always get the Athenian Gyro and I’m never disappointed. The time it takes to place the order and get your food is often less than 10 minutes, but I’ve had it be less than 5 minutes. The serving size of the gyro (comes with fries) is extremely generous and I always have to convince myself to not eat the entire thing because it’s too much food but it’s oh so delicious. Although they have a large offering of food, I will always recommend getting the Athenian Gyro.

The food is excellent, as is the service. For Mediterranean fare in the city, this place is my choice. I do prefer to take my food home to eat, though, as the atmosphere isn't exactly relaxing. It's clean and organized. The parking is pretty restrictive but that's not really their fault.

Best gyros in town! They mild sauce fire! I thought portillos was closest good italian beef and sausage! Nope this place got it way cheaper and twice the size. To be honest I like akropolis better. Major, major go!

Great family owned counter serve joint with delicious homemade Greek food! Great prices, generous portions, and lots and lots of options! Everything is made fresh and you can get all the classics like dolmades, avgolemono, gyros, etc. They also have some delicious looking desserts available, but we didn't have room to try them out this time around.

I had the biggest gyro I’ve ever eaten. Wow!! The Athenian gyro was fabulous. We all had gyros. We also had lemon soup and hummus plate. Everything was delicious. We were well pleased for our first visit.

I've been here a couple times and always leave full and satisfied. Gyros are filling, topped full of meat and fillings. Several varieties to try, which helps in making you want to return too. The coffee is incredible. Fries are good. Honestly, great bang for your buck! You won't regret it.

I go to Acropolis a bunch and the food is always great. The Greek salad which is fresh and delicious, the gyros are a staple and the fries are yummy. The restaurant itself is quite quiet, making it a great spot for a peaceful meal. I would highly recommend Acropolis for anyone looking for a tasty and affordable Greek meal.
