Hands down one of the best dinners I’ve had! The food was exceptional! Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The service from Service Manager Christopher Lorenzo was flawless. We were attended to like we were VIPs. My only regret is not finding this restaurant sooner! If you are ever in Philadelphia, this restaurant is a MUST. Highly recommend the Calamar, Cordero, Entrecôte, Vieiras, and the Pulpo A La Gallegos. All the drinks were fantastic as well. Can’t go wrong here!

Visiting Amada was a great experience. The ambience was great, food was amazing and server was very nice and friendly. We ordered empanadas, a few other small plates and a non-alcoholic mocktail. Everything tasted great.

We ordered 4 tapas, a pitched of sangria, charcuterie board and 1 paella! It was just enough for the three of us and a toddler! The food came out perfectly as we finished up our tapas and it was quiet enough for us not have to scream over each other.

My son who lives in Philly picked out this restaurant. Went there with my two sons. I have to say the food and service were excellent. Lex was our server and she greeted us and suggested some wines by the glass for us. She made great recommendations. I also had a cocktail called "Tie Me Up Tie Me Down" which was also great. Everything we had was beautifully presented and delicious. Lex was kind enough to make suggestions and also made sure our food didn't all come out at once and we had some time in between dishes. We ordered the Serrano, Valdeon, Croqueta de Jamon, Datiles Con Almendras, Pulpo, Chorizo a la Plancha, Atun, Calamari a la Plancha, Wagyu Skirt (out of this world!!), Bruselas Catalana (one of the best I have tasted) and the Ensalada Verde. For dessert, my two sons had the Creme de Chocolate which was to die for. If you are looking for a restaurant with terrific food and service, please visit this place. I can't wait to visit Philly again and go here. Thank you especially to Lex for a great experience!

Best Spanish cuisine I have had the opportunity to taste in my life! All the tapas were really delicious! The paella is really really good! The neighborhood is really cute too! Parking is more difficult and paid. A place to discover, the decor is more than charming, as is the atmosphere!

Great experience! We went to Amada's to celebrate our son's birthday. We got there in time for happy hour (till 6:30) and we were able to get drinks and an assortment of tapas at roughly half price. We ordered almost all the small plates on the happy hour menu and all of them were great. And then we ordered fa few items from the main menu, which were also very good. The customer service was excellent. This is our second time at Amada and it never fails to impress us. Definitely a place to come back to.

Our experience was top-notch! I brought my 13 year old daughter for dinner before a show, and she loved it. She has quite the palate and has grown up enjoying more “adult” food than most kids. Her comment regarding the patatas bravas was that they were “plated to perfection”. All of our tapas were delicious and our server was outstanding. He was efficient, friendly, and very knowledgeable on the food. We very much enjoyed our time at Amada.

Typically one of my favorite places in Philly to dine, I felt things were a bit off this last time. Food was good but not fabulous, especially the artichoke and mushroom flatbread, which was very skimpy on the toppings. Enjoyed the charred green beans. I especially was disappointed with their “half price” wine bottles. Never in my life have I seen a restaurant charge $130 for a bottle of albarino wine. (Their half price cost was listed as $65). The bottle retails for $34 so I guess they typically charge a 4x markup??

I have been to Amada 4 times, and every single time, the food has been just as good if not better than the last. THEY NEVER MISS. It's an hour and 20 min ride from me but it's worth it everytime. My favorite dishes are the mushroom rice, brown butter chicken, the garlic shrimp, and the paprika potatoes. Everything is seasoned to perfection and has so much flavor. Oh and i'm gluten free but I have so many options to choose from. Can't wait to go back.

Amazing. Came here with 8 ppl for a celebration and the wait staff were so kind, fast and helpful. The saffron rice bowl was good - simply not what I expected! I was waiting for a bowl of rice with saffron color/taste but instead got a bowl with rice and a bunch of accompaniments that made it so much flavorful! Great job here! The desert was good as well.

I came here for my birthday brunch yesterday and all my girlies, plus myself, loved the drinks! I got the Passion Fruit Mojito and that was absolutely tasty, hence why I got three of them. Shhh, don’t tell anyone! The food was also really good, especially that Garlic Shrimp :0 SO GOOD! Overall, it was a beautiful restaurant. The only downside to the restaurant is the lighting. I felt like for me personally, it was pretty dark by the bar area, but once we got our table, we were blessed with amazing natural sunlight!

Great dinner with family. We had a selection of about 8 tapas. And a bottle of Chardonnay. Everything we had was amazing, and although I can't remember the name of any of them, none disappointed. I do wish we had more time for our meal, but before we had made dinner plans we had booked another event. I say that only to say make sure you allow enough time to really savor the experience.

Excellent food, excellent service, and excellent company. The tapas we had were very good and the paella was terrific. The prices were good, though the wine was over priced. We had a Spanish Rioja Reserva which can be purchased at the liquor store for $35-$40 a bottle. It was $115. Overall good experience.

Unfortunately I cannot make a true estimate of the quality of food because my daughter was not feeling well, she had been exposed to too much sun, we had to take the food to go instead. Yet even though it was to go it was still very good, though the tortilla de papa was not exactly to my taste. I’m a classic tortilla de papa lover, and not that particular creation. But the experience, despite, was very pleasant. The waitress, wow, she was incredibly considerate of the situation and amazingly helpful. She went out of her way to help and had to pack it all to go. I believe her name was Daria? Kudos to you for such a quality of service, above that she knew exactly which items were gluten free and which could be made gluten free, superbly impressed with her service and readiness. Thank you for such a wonderful experience, she ate her tapas for breakfast and they were still very good.

Second time at Amada and wouldn’t go back. Requested with the reservation counter seating and they gave us a dark high top in a busy location. The server seemed disinterested and offered us very little help with the menu. The food was meh, at best. Ham croquettes were very salty, the tuna was tough and fishy, the olives too small. The better dishes were the Brussels sprouts and dates wrapped in bacon. We usually rely on the server to help us with ordering tapas. I’m sure another server would have delivered a better experience.

All of the tapas selections were creative and totally delectable and service was attentive and kind. Only my gin and tonic was disappointing - tonic was flat and gin was minimal. Good Spanish tapas. My favorite is the fried padrón peppers and ensalada de jamón. $5 sangria for brunch is a good deal and it reminds me the sangria in Spain. Service is also great. Wait staff is pleasant and courteous. They really pay attention to food allergies of my friend.

I do a lot of traveling and like to try the local tapas restaurants everywhere I go. I was initially excited to go to Amada given all the hype, but I was pretty disappointed. The patatas bravas is usually a favorite of mine, but the Amada take on the dish was like deep fried mashed potatoes with not enough sauce to make up for the dryness. All the other dishes were just "fine" but not worth the price tag. The kitchen knew we were disappointed and sent out these little lamb turnovers, which were pretty tasty, but not enough to make up for the disappointment overall. Nice atmosphere and a friendly waitress, but that's not what I go to restaurants for.

Amada is one of my 'go-to' restaurants in Old City. Hadn't been there in a while; my son was visiting from out-of-town and I wanted to introduce him to the Garces restaurant that I really love. We went for Happy Hour at 05:15 and then had a light dinner thereafter. I had a craving for the Islada Verde salad for my entree (and it really isn't a small plate, as it's enough for 2 ppl...it never disappoints. My son had the tuna entree.

Truly one of the best dining experiences I have had in years. We are here in Philly for a wedding, and I had put in my reservation notes it was our only night to explore the city, and we were excited to dine at Amada. Not knowing the layout of the restaurant, I booked the counter which was sort of like a chefs counter. The host/ GM could see I was looking around as it wasn’t what I expected- they quickly came over and asked if we wanted a table instead- it was so thoughtful! We were then greeted with a glass of champagne to toast our night in Philly. The food was incredible, as was the ambiance but the service was what really made our night. Our server was absolutely wonderful as well. So glad we picked Amada!

We reserved a private room to celebrate my daughter’s college graduation. Everything about our experience was top notch … the planning with the Restaurant Sales Manager, contact and interactions with the Restaurant Manager, our Waiter for the evening and the Waitstaff. The food was amazing, and they catered to our group with so much attention to detail. It was a spectacular evening, and I would love to find another reason to celebrate to return to this gem of a restaurant in Philly! The food is incredible, all the small plates allow for you to try so many different amazing dishes. The actual restaurant environment, in the front room, was so loud we were over hearing everyone’s conversations and yelling ourselves. Wait staff forgot about us a few times. Amada is a great choice particularly for Monday or Tuesday night dinner when many restaurants are closed. The Zarzuela (seafood stew) and Solomollo (pork tenderloin) were both excellent. Service was good but we did spend a good while staring at empty plates and wondering where our next tapas were. Be warned that it does get really loud here even on slower nights. The food is great, the service is good, but it's not a good place for dinner conversation.
