I came for my friend's birthday and we all had a great time. I had the seafood soup. I didn't even realized I ordered soup, but it was delicious and the service was great. The atmosphere is very cozy and calm. Definitely recommend. Shout out to Natalia and Rueben for showing us a good time!!

I went with my family last Saturday and the truth is that the food was very delicious, the waitress who served us was very friendly and attentive. What I don't recommend is the bone with marrow. It didn't taste like anything to me. I didn't like it. It was like eating a tablespoon of oil 123 but it should be noted that the esquites that come with it are a delight 😋 I wish they sold them separately if I didn't have to order the bone again

I love this place! The service, the food, and the drinks are always amazing. My favorites from the menu are the mezcalita to drink and the enmoladas for food. I can't speak highly enough of Amealco -- sooooo tasty and authentic. 👏🏼

I wish I could give 100 stars!! The menu is original, lucrative and authentic. The esquite was absolutely busssssin. Ribeye with chilaquiles was amazing ! Great music and ambiance. Kenia is so sweet and treated us so well.

Food was very bland. Our peppers and tortillas were undercooked. There’s was little to no seasoning or meat in our dish. Service and cocktails were good and parking was easy but we will not be returning.

First time experience for a special fundraiser event. Had a specific menu of items, and the food was pretty good. Enjoyed the entertainment and ambiance of the place.

Service and food is amazing, very authentic and very kind staff

I ordered the ribeye and for 29$ it's steep. It's cheap quality meat. I wouldn't leave a 1 star review unless I had a really bad experience. Shortly after consuming the food my stomach and my partners stomach hurt and feels heavy and wants to cramp from consuming the food. The food had too much oil and affected us negatively.

Stopped by on 7/28/24 It should be the only mexican place to stop for food! Everything from food to service was a 10/10 I drove from indiana to the atlanta aquarium But i would drive from indiana just to eat here again

Today we had the opportunity to go and we do not regret it. Everything was divine, we ordered melted cheese and chorizo ​​as an appetizer 10/10. Our entrees had a lot of flavor and the atmosphere was 10/10. The waitress also offers excellent service and good explanation of the menu. God continue to bless you!!!!!!!!

Good food, service. Upscale feel. The restaurant is roomy and nicely decorated. It has Latino soft rock/pop playing. It is tastefully decorated in cream and taupe. You could safely go here before the third date. There's a full bar. The server didn't speak much English. When there are more than a few tables, the food is slower. The server is very attentive and, in fact, ran out to give me the credit card that I left on the table. It's worth noting that everything has been on blue corn meal. As well, the sauces are delicious but quite spicy. On one visit, I had gordas. I was hoping for those fluffy white corn gorditas. These were a heavier blue corn. Ordered barbacoa, al pastor and ground beef. Surprisingly, the ground beef stood out with a really great flavor. On a nother visit I had the ribeye taco. Tender with great flavor. I had a couple of Sopes which were good I was expecting another mom-n-pop Latino kitchen. This was unexpectedly pleasant and upscale. I'll be back.

A buddy of mine talked this place up. I had the cecina - steak, 2 enchiladas, and charro beans. They brought out black beans(were out of charro) and I am not a fan of black beans on their own. Steak was chewy. Enchiladas were good. Staff were very polite and service was great. Might try it again.

This restaurant really need some work. The 83 health score is enough for some but I persisted because the reviews are good. Unfortunately people are lying the restaurant is under staffed so we waited 20 min to be sat by our waiter because he is also the host. Ordered apps and 3 rounds of drinks and entrees and add ons my wife didn’t like her entree that also was supposed to come with rice but they ran out? so we sent it back the host/waiter is also apparently the owner and tried to make us pay for 50% of the entree even though we spent almost $200 without the 1 entree tacos and queso were good everything else was mediocre lacking in flavor and not worth the price. Also food is inconsistent the churros we ordered didn’t come with ice cream or a dipping sauce like I. Photos and TikTok’s not sure if the host/waiter/owner was mad or what but…

They have a singer, For me, the sound was too blaring and I couldn't stand the headache, so I asked the clerk to turn the sound down, I gave it 3 stars because I thought the atmosphere was not good, making it difficult to hear the waiter's voice, the customers' voices, and each other's voices. To be honest, I felt more comfortable when there was no music, as I prefer to eat quietly. All the food was delicious. The service was also very good. Always smiling and listening, it was like being served in my native Japan. It's a shame that the restaurant is empty when it's this good. I wish more people knew about this restaurant!

Our server was a sweetheart! I was a little disappointed that they were out of a few items, even though really early in the day. Food was good but not great. I would love to visit again to try some other authentic dishes.

This place is adorable!! I randomly found it on yelp and the menu looked so good that I really wanted to try it. I brought a friend and we loved it. The menu is really impressive and the cocktails are delicious. We had wonderful service as well!! I can’t wait to come back and try more of their dishes.

Even though our server and I had a language barrier, that did not stop them from providing me and my family with an amazing experience with delicious cuisine. The staff was extremely friendly and we all left full and happy.

Servers weren’t bad and actually were trying to the best of their abilities however the food is pretty bad at least their meats are, we order different cuts and definitely not the place for it, the place was half empty and still took over an hour for the food to come out.

We reserve their space for a birthday celebration and Ruben went above and beyond to help us with the celebration. They let you create your own menu and he was always communicating with me at all times. The food is delicious and they take the time to know you not only to serve you. This is a family business that also gives back to a small community in Mexico. The food is authentic and the drinks options are great. I will definitely recommend this place.

I discovered this restaurant today, and I went with my family, very delicious, close to my house, very elegant place, very delicious food, Laura served us very well, friendly and with a smile, my children ate the food, the portions were perfect for them, the dessert was also delicious I recommend it

Spacious and nice decor in the dining room. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. The restaurant has a weird odor, you will smell it when you just walked in, and even stronger when you walk toward the back/restroom area. The service was on the slow end, especially when we were finishing our meal, trying to get our waiter to come get us the bill, had to wait over 10 minutes just to get her attention, and bill/payment processing took another 5-10 minutes. It wasn't a very busy time at the restaurant, only like 5-6 tables, so it was a bit of shocked why things took so long. The food was just okay. The taco meat was pretty dry, I don't feel they worth $4-$4.5 each, they are probably more $2-$3 max value. The $16 shrimp quesadilla is also a bit pricey, wish they give more rice or other side items (sour creme, veggie, salsa, etc). There is also a ~4% "CC Fee", which was not explained to us about what is the charge for. And I assume it might be credit card fee, but when bill came, they would not know if we are paying cash or credit card, so if this is credit card usage fee, pre-added this to the bill isn't the right way to do. All in all, we might not return in the future. Hope improvements can be made.

What drew me to the place was the interior atmosphere, it was very nice, clean and spacious. Tacos were okay, lacking flavor and had too much fat in barbacoa. Horchata tasted like sweet watery milk, need more spices.

Mad at myself for not trying this spot sooner- GREAT mezcal cocktails and the food was awesome. My husband had the burrito with carnitas and it was insane. My enchiladas suizas tasted fresh and homemade- very good! Will definitely be back to this gem on Buford Highway!

Laura was absolutely wonderful. She assisted us with any questions we had regarding the menu and she has a very kind and friendly personality. The presentation of the food, the flavors and temperature was great.

Just finishing up our first experience here, really great! One thing that stood out was how fresh everything was, also not incredibly salty like so many other Mexican restaurants. The service was excellent as well. Our family of 4 all enjoyed it, we will be back!

My friend and I came here on a Sunday for brunch. We ate the enchiladas and the pollo poblano. Sooo good! The food was authentic and not Tex Mex like other places near here. The music and atmosphere were lively and inviting. And Ruben our server was kind and attentive. Will definitely continue coming back!

My friend and I came here for lunch one day. It is authentic Mexican but decent. Once we received our food we were forgotten about. We had to stand out of our seats to get the staffs attention multiple times.

The food is horrible. Absolutely no taste or flavor to anything. My husband couldn’t even eat his rice as it wasn’t cooked all the way, sent it back and got a burger that was definitely just a frozen burger. Server was super sweet though.

It started off great with our server Laura, she was friendly with a great smile, the food was pretty good, on the traditional side which is very good, the drinks were also good, in between us four we ate and drinked different things, only thing that wasn't good was the grapefruit drink (margarita I think) other than that it was excellent

First time at Amealco was nice! We received great service, and both the drinks and the food were delicious. Ordered the Aquachile, Mole rojo, and Enchiladas Queretanas, all of which were excellent. Also got the pan de elote for dessert and it was great. Highly recommend this place!
